i never had a coin that stakes within 24hr…just chill
blackcoin took me 2 and a half days to begin staking
its not about STAKING its about maturity if your coins dont gain age they will NEVER stake i have pos wallets from mint & zeit all the way up to this so i do know about how to stake m8 In normal PoS coin, not Sync, Difficulty retargets every block, so even number of "stakeholders" lower and lower, but speed of finding blocks is constant. In Sync this mechanism not work. Difficulty not changing block to block personally, i like the block generation times for Sync, yes, it's different; that's a good thing. Block generation time must be 60 seconds (according to describtion) it is not different, it is not working Can somebody say that i am wrong? it working fine for me. i like how Sync is working. Also, why on earth would you want block stake every 60 seconds on a coin that is designed for long term investment. clueless. Your position can compare with driving the car without wheels. I try to come up with comprehensive steps for noobs Download latest Windows flavoured wallet from here: https://mega.co.nz/#!E5cjGQBa!C9PV10d7AUBgk1hWoaq3nenRRL24gV8TRk1pk9q15CI Click Start > Run > %appdata%\sync Delete everything except wallet.dat (and sync.conf if you already have that saved there) copy wallet.dat to multiple safe locations as a backup (Wallet.dat holds your coins, you don't want to lose this) Create a file called Sync.conf (note to windows noobs trying to create a new notepad file, in the explorer window drop down the tool menu, goto Folder Options, goto View Tab, Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" - this is to make sure you don't create a sync.conf.txt file. You want Sync.conf) Copy and paste below into sync.conf and save (I suggest to change user and pass to something else) server=1 listen=1 rpcuser=user rpcpassword=pass rpcport=24240 addnode=107.170.124.180 addnode=162.243.214.192 addnode=192.241.240.216 addnode=107.170.159.98 addnode=23.226.225.224 Open up TCP port 24240 on your firewall and/or modem/router if you know how and want to be a node (I'm not going to teach you this one) download the Bootstrap given by CodyF86 from http://d-h.st/j8FExract the contents into %appdata%\sync rename the file bootstrap.dat to blk001.dat if you have problems, otherwise keep it as it is. Launch the wallet unlock your wallet if you want to stake (or not) wait for it to sync any extra blocks since block 8266 If it gets stuck, close the wallet, wait 2 minutes then relaunch. Repeat few times if needed. You can skip downloading the bootstrap and sync from scratch if you wish. If you have problems syncing from scratch getting stuck after block 8200, try introducing sync.conf only after you reach block 8200. Let me know if this is incorrect. Thx....but how do you do this on Windows 8 when there is no "Start > Run > Try typing in %appdata%\sync" in your windows search bar if windows 8 has that it should or manually navigate to it through your harddrive folder system |

I have just downloaded and installed the new flash wallet
it gets stuck at some point
i closed and reopened the wallet and now its synced and
my second stake is now staking
It seems there may be a problem in the wallet/S
but it gets sorted if you close and reopen them
JUST DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR ALWAYS SAVE YOUR DAT FILE
BEFORE INSTALLING WALLETS SOMEWHERE SAFE
I HAVE AT LEAST 5 DIFFERENT COPIES OF MY DAT FILE
ON DIFFERENT DRIVES

ok for all those having trouble do this goto your dat file before doing anything SAVE THE DAT FILE SOMEWHERE ELSE and the config file if you don't have one look on the first page of this thread NEXT... delete all traces of the wallet (not the dat file you have just saved SOMEWHERE ELSE) delete the link on your desktop as well NOW DOWNLOAD THE NEW WALLET START IT UP AGAIN CLOSE IT AGAIN Go to where the new dat file is and delete that ONLY NOW GO TO WHERE YOU SAVED YOUR ORIGINAL DAT FILE and paste or copy it back to the new sync folder copy the config as well and paste it in the new wallet sync folder NOW START THE WALLET UP AGAIN let it sync if it gets stuck close and restart if need be do it 2 or 3 times..... eventually you will sync then continue bleeting about not staking because it will take time to do so its a lottery peace |

you are idiots because i have had the exact same problems you have and i have figured it out by reading everything carefully on this thread and tried everything diligently. You on the other hand having gone back on all your posts have done nothing but demand shout and carry on like a 5 year old. I have also been here from day one and not staked yet i know FROM READING THE THREAD and my knowledge of POS that I will stake eventually. What is clear is that those of you who are impatient and can't be bothered to do things for yourselves like one gentleman here is doing as we speak deserve everything you get.
