2521  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Kraken.com - SCAM ALERT!!! on: August 19, 2020, 04:49:35 PM
It may come from your bank network because a lot of banks don't work on Monday (Yes, you can still see offices open but the network doesn't update transactions)
Your payment would have been gone by Tuesday and since it can take 48/72 hours, it's highly possible Kraken hasn't received anything from your bank. It can happen too that it's a problem coming from their bank and they can't do anything.

Kraken is far to be a scam, it's one of the top-notch platforms around. They usually reply to support tickets the same day but perhaps they're busy (a lot of companies were forced to change the working habits) or your case needs a longer time to look at it.
2522  Other / Meta / Re: Round #4 Rewritting/Paraphrasing/synonymize, is it ok? on: August 19, 2020, 04:16:15 PM
@Harlot Paraphrasing, synonymize, plagiarism. Call it as you wish, I can still add a few in the title. In my country, it's also called Paraphrasing

Wikipedia says
Quote
Linguistic definition
Etymologically, paraphrase is an "explanation following the text": to paraphrase (a verb derived from the word paraphrase3 ; it is also said to make paraphrases) is therefore to take up the elements of a text, in the original order but by formulating them differently,

Quote
in classical rhetoric, paraphrasing was a preparatory exercise for future speakers that consisted in reformulating an author's text or a sentence.

Larousse says
Quote
Expressing something in another form, usually longer, more explanatory.

@The Pharmacist
I added spinning too to the title  Cheesy

Still, I have nothing to add to the post #32 above, so:

https://cointelegraph.com/news/ripple-brave-and-huobi-join-instant-global-payments-network-payid

More than 40 companies, including Ripple, Brave, Huobi,
BitGo, BitPay, Bitrue, Bitso, Blockchain.com, Bitstamp, BTC Markets, CipherTrace, Coinone, Crypto.com, Independent Reserve, Liquid, and others, worked together to form the Open Payments Coalition and launch a universal PayID payment system.

Targeting more than 100 million customers, the new payment process helps users send or receive money anywhere in the world using any payment network in real time.

Users can provide an e-mail address or mobile number associated with their bank account to receive money instantly without the need for a bank account, international code, channel number or SWIFT ID.

PayID aims to make it easy to make global payments fast and easy, like we send emails, or write short messages,

PayID has been used extensively in Australia, where the system was introduced gradually over the last three years. Most banks and crypto exchanges in the country can send and receive instant money at any time.

I reported the user previously and I have no idea why this person isn't banned. So here is another example and I think I will have no problem to give another example. It's just that I have others users on my list

...

I summarize it
Title: REASONS WHY MANY TRADERS FAIL AND LOSS MONEY
1.Overtrading
2.Ridiculous Expectations
3. Lack of Capitalization
4.Addiction to trading Forex/crypto market
5.Inability to adapt the condition of the market
6. Poor Risk Management
7. Lack of  Following a Trading Plan or not having a trading plan
8 SUMMARY

Now there is this article published here
I summarize it
Title: Top Reasons Why Forex Traders Fail and Lose Money
- Overtrading
- Insufficient capitalisation
- Trading Addiction
- Not Adapting to the Market Conditions
- Poor Risk Management
- Not Having or Not Following a Trading Plan
- Unrealistic Expectations
- In Summary

Looking at paragraphs

1.Overtrading:
The most widely recognized motivation behind why Forex merchants or traders come up short is overtrading. It is either exchanging too large or trading too often. Overtrading may be brought about by ridiculously high benefit objectives, lack of capitalisation and market addiction. I was just trading too much then just to meet my high-profit goal daily with my low equity or capital.

Quote
Overtrading
Overtrading - either trading too big or too often – is the most common reason why Forex traders fail. Overtrading might be caused by unrealistically high profit goals, market addiction, or insufficient capitalisation. We will skip unrealistic expectations for now, as that concept will be covered later in the article

2.Ridiculous Expectations
It's significant for first-time dealers to recall that Forex isn't a way to get rich rapidly. Similarly, as with any business or expert profession, there will be acceptable periods, and there will be awful periods, alongside hazard and misfortune. By limiting the market introduction per exchange, a merchant can have true serenity that one losing exchange ought not to bargain their general execution over the long haul.
Try to comprehend that persistence and consistency are your best partners. Brokers don't have to make a little fortune with a couple of huge exchanges. This just strengthens awful exchanging propensities and can prompt generous misfortunes after some time. Accomplishing positive compound outcomes with littler exchanges over numerous months and years is the most ideal alternative.

Quote
Unrealistic Expectations
...
It's important for first-time traders to remember that Forex is not a means to get rich quickly. As with any business or professional career, there will be good periods, and there will be bad periods, along with risk and loss. By minimising the market exposure per trade, a trader can have peace of mind that one losing trade should not compromise their overall performance over the long-term.

2524  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Akon's cryptocity in senegal could work on: August 18, 2020, 09:12:33 PM
@exstasie

With the taxes reduction, it will only attract riches or companies. Companies that trade outside and therefore will not need to bother using this crypto. Whether it is for imports or exports. The same for external companies won't want to deal with another currency, to have to exchange it and to pay FX fees.
Which companies have the interest to be there? Not the nationals only the internationals

And the riches looking to live à la Dubai with high tech. infrastructures, big malls, etc

Imagine also the citizens, they will live with this currency, as soon as they go out of the city they will need another currency. People outside the city will also need to change their currency.

@avikz

One city won't change a whole continent. Millions jobs have been created? Where did you got that.
There's another guy looking to do the same thing, but a city a lot bigger in Nevad called Innovation Park

2525  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [List] Gift cards providers on: August 18, 2020, 04:51:51 PM
Because people won't be able to use it since they're not from my country (I shared a list long ago on my local board), but if you search in your country you will find some available to you. Try to look for "Buying gift card" "buying amazon gift cards" "sell gift card" and check the results.
Not easy to find but there are

As for the cashback, it's something well know from online shoppers there are many websites for this. Here too I use only french websites but there are surely plenty in your country.

I guess you're from Germany? Maybe you could ask on https://www.mydealz.de/ if you're a member, and if you're not then it means you like paying normal prices Grin

2526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: August 18, 2020, 03:57:21 PM
Previous Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5222426.msg53752319#msg53752319

I like making these threads because it's interesting to see how Bitcoin has changed people's lives. So how has Bitcoin helped you in your life?

For me personally, I use Bitcoin to accept money from people instantly.
Bitcoin had enabled me to have control over my money I don't need to care about any banking services much, I don't need any third party to facilitate any of my transactions, I also have privacy over my fund thanks to bitcoin, My wallet provider also makes KYC as optional thus my privacy is also protected, I can order for stuffs online swiftly, I have the ability to exchange my coins to fiat within some period of time without any hassle, finally offering some freelance services online including bounty and signature campaigns whose services are paid with bitcoin is added advantage of the coin

Since you say you don't need a 3rd party for your transactions and you don't need to care about ANY banking service.
It means you don't pay any bills (electricity, water,IS,P insurance,...) you don't have a job , or you're working for free since you can't receive your salary and you don't have a house since it seems you don't have a landlord to pay monthly.

You look like a teenager still living with the parents..

Your "wallet provider" makes KYC optionnal and you care about your privacy, yet you give you personnal information to cashout your money but wait? Firstly you say you don't need ANY banking service.

It's good to see an alternative to the banking industry in which the power is in the user's hands and not financial institutions. I just hope its adoption continues and that it doesn't remain something marginal... But I want to see it in the next 10 years or it may be too late for me after.
2527  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinswitch.co is a scam stay away from them on: August 18, 2020, 02:01:24 PM
If it was a bug, he/she would at least have received an explanation during the contacts he tried to have with them. Unless the team feels so ashamed because there's a bug in their system, they don't want to reply? Nah

"have you cheated their system"
Do you think a cheater would say yes? I don't think @OP is lying if he suggests sending evidence

Tu as payé combien en frais/

J'ai fini de lire un rapport de la Banque de France sur les monnaies digitales. Bitcoin, stablecoins, DLTs, CBDCs, itou
https://publications.banque-france.fr/sites/default/files/medias/documents/820208_bdf230-1_monnaies_digitales_vf_1307.pdf

Beaucoup de conneries entre autre. A les écouter Bitcoin est mort. Là, je me suis dit "Punaise ça me rappelle quelqu'un ici"

2531  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Start your next project for fast and free! on: August 16, 2020, 09:21:51 PM
Do you mean 20 GB is the bandwidth or the size of the database? Is there a quota for usage access, some web server providers refuse to use a credit card, can I use a virtual credit card for activation on Amazon?

It's 20 Gb of disk space of course. I even doubt AWS has a bandwidth limit or it shall be quite high and scalable.
I've seen people using VCCs but if they work like Amazon does, you shouldn't be surprised if it doesn't work

Last month I tried Microsoft Azure, only got 1 month free. How to get free server for 1 year?

Azure advertises 12 months for free but there is a catch. 12 months is the period during which you can use their services, but each of them has a limit. When you visit the website's offer and check for example Linux VMs you get 750 hours for free to use within 12 months (750h=1 month). If it's QnA Maker, you get 3 days to use within 12 months, or 250 GB of SQL Database for 12 months

"unless the post is in a thread you started"
That's what @CoinIdolNews does. You'll never see him in a discussion with us. He just comes in to create threads.

Otherwise, It would also mean a blogger couldn't use the Press section to share news from his/her site. In this case there are a lof of others posts that should be deleted (i.e. @CoinClarity or @S3cco lately with +50 pages of "my news article + link")

As I said if he posted in the correct boards probably the threads wouldn't be deleted.
2533  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [List] Gift cards providers on: August 16, 2020, 06:24:58 PM
That's 0.09% cheaper than the face value. It's like 0, nothing exceptional or pretty as you say. It's not a point that could attract my attention to encourage me to buy.
Even considering the 1% cashback. There are places where the usual rate is 3% cheaper and you can also get then a 1-3% cashhback
2534  Other / Meta / Re: Moderation of @CoinIdolNews constantly shitting in the Press board on: August 15, 2020, 10:57:37 PM
...

1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads.

I know but I don't know what to think. Maybe they could argue saying this is subjective. If the user posted in "Speculation" (since he posts topics about trading/speculation lately), I'm not sure the mods would have deleted the threads.

Many people post uninteresting, low value threads but they do it in the correct place so it could be hardly applied without to be called dictator
2535  Economy / Economics / Re: Lithuania President gifted crypto to Estonian President. on: August 15, 2020, 10:45:12 PM
It's not a cryptocurrency, it's a digital currency, there is a difference. They make use of the word crypto because it's swag in 2020.
But in reality, it's a state currency and not P2P without a central bank. You can buy it from the Bank of Lithuania and if I'm correct you can not store it, the B of L does it on your behalf.
It's a coin for numismatists I think.

It's like if you buy a car and the seller tells you: "You bought it but the car stays here"
2536  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Proof of the ownership of BitCoins during a Divorce on: August 15, 2020, 10:17:25 PM
A justice court will never accept a screenshot, you guys are crazy and stop talking this and that about this Alt tracker  Cheesy
In this case, the husband could manipulate the screenshot to show 10 cents in. They won't accept any link too, simply because you can show them any link that are not correct.

@OP
It may vary if you signed a contract or not but the most important thing is where your ex-husband was storing the coins. If it's on an exchange platform or web wallet it will be a lot easier than if he stored everything in his own wallets. I hope for you that you are in good communication with him otherwise it could be a nightmare for ya, lawyers and co. are not so aware about cryptocurrencies and aren't trained to deal with cases like this.

In logic, everything should be liquidated and you should receive your share, or at least receive half of the coins. What could be useful to you right now is trying to know where the coins are located: on a website, on a software,... And what is the quantity owned, as well as the amount your ex-husband has spend in total.
2537  Other / Meta / Re: Moderation of @CoinIdolNews constantly shitting in the Press board on: August 15, 2020, 09:04:28 PM
I also reported it a couple of times last week. Even though I said I'd stop reporting it in my original post, I couldn't resist doing it.
It irritates me as soon as I see the username, and worse when I read the title. I think if I started to read the post I could start to convulse.

By the way, it's a pity a moderator didn't comment on this topic, always pleasant to be ignored. They could have said a few words, even if it's just to tell me to fuck you.

Perhaps the user isn't nuked because it doesn't break any rule officially, he just doesn't post in the right place.
2538  Economy / Reputation / Re: @rorschach1 trying to sell his account on: August 15, 2020, 09:48:29 AM
Hello  I will not sell account anymore. Please remove red trust

It doesn't really work like this. Who knows if the account hasn't already been sold? The topic you posted in is marked as sold.
I find it funny because you were inactive since August 1 and now there is this thread you suddenly come to post.

(note: there are 2 accounts, not only 1)

2539  Economy / Economics / Re: Growing number of institutionnal investors on: August 14, 2020, 09:53:30 PM
@The Pharmacist

I don't know what is considered a huge stake but if we take Microstrategy since you mention the company, they bought 21k BTC and it didn't do anything on the price (I think the price even dropped a bit). I don't think institutional investors will influence the price a lot since they won't buy in mass in 1 shot (if they have a sain brain).

What is weird with the latest news on MSTR, and nobody talked about it, is the fact they bought only bitcoin,s we could have expected diversity in their investment... it's a pretty serious risk to bet it all on Bitcoin.

That was the same day the news was out by the way

... This would be
good for researching, to see the top gainers during pandemic, and top losers. If we had some statistic about that, we would
have a better picture about money flow in last months.

Anyone can post that, unless it actually gets confirmed via the Telegram username.

True, I realized that, however, I wouldn't have posted if I wasn't 100% sure, (I had more accounts to post but wasn't 100% sure so didn't). I show the road, people check it out for themselves.
Also, I didn't want to open a trap on Telegram to have a "proof" good enough for the public.

@marlboroza posted exactly how it ends.
