It's not massive that is just one month's pay for a hardworking better than average developer,of course it wont be the same globally.
Of course not, I am from India, and 3 Bitcoins that he stole from me, is much more like a 2 month's pay. Not the amount he totally stole, which is far more and nears a average yearly income for some people in India. Because his victims are cool,if you people report and do something then he might be pissed.
Being from India, I am not sure what to do. Neither is bitcoins legal/illegal in India (Government here is just neutral about it, they are not against it, they just want you to be careful with huge amounts of money) nor do many people know about it. So, contacting Police or any other law authority would be of no use. I think you would need to direct your complaint to the canadian police anyway. Im not a professional so i might be wrong. But even the indian police should handle it. Maybe they have a cybercrime unit and when you can provide details of the user then you might be lucky. It's worth a try anyway as long as it doesn't cost you serious money doing so.  i think he cannot go any complain in cyber crime. because they will ask what happened and if he says that he is gambling or trading with Bitcoins and he got scammed from so and so person, that time police will ask what is bitcoin and what is the status of law in india, that time you cannot say anything . then you will be in great problem, because you are doing online transaction with foreign customers with out paying forex tax. and they will ask you how you got this much of bitcoins and from where. |

These accounts are probably alt accounts of seller to pump the price. Correct, and i see newbie post here have many pot activity (they just hit and run for adding their potential). AFAIK.. most buyers who want to buy an account in this forum are newbie account. So i don't think the OP disallow newbie to post his bid in this auction.
But can you mind it, the if they are just alt of seller, they can easily pump the price as fast as they want. Totally agree with your reply, just watches all bids and replys and most of the replys for bidding are newbie and i think OP has created lot of accounts and now he is promoting his own auction to higher level so that he can sell for higher price. I think who ever is bidding should first consult with OP and clear the bids of Newbie and restart the Auction. |

You can buy allot of electronic stuff with btc easily currently but I think it would be awesome if you could buy groceries and everyday needs with BTC in a simple way not taking hours or in one or two stores in the whole world.
But unfortunately not all the stores that sell food using bitcoin payment method and very rare. In contrast to the electronics store that has been mostly using bitcoin payment method. Maybe if we could buy food with bitcoin easily it was very enjoyable. It is. And also coffee at our favorite coffee shops. That would be really enjoyable. It will also be cool if people will see us just swiping that qr code and KABAM we have our coffee in our hands and paid. Not only this dream but all of the most dreams will come true, untill all country governments take steps in accepting bitcoin as a digital currency and legalizing it.
