There are games where they struggle with basic football tasks, and others where they can easily win with few goals. The funny thing is that, they still hang around top of the table. Manchester City has a greater advantage right now over other teams, however it would be very funny if Chelsea managed to win in with that weak form, actually non-existant defence and rather ugly style. And they have already played against top teams, while Manchester United for example is yet to see how it's to play against better competitors. It was rather Jose Mourinho who was the reason why Manchester United lost the game, his method of approaching every game defensively though it works some of the time doesn't work all the time in every circumstances. Manchester United played poorly but doesn't mean that Chelsea are back in form. Although Chelsea's victory at the time was not the result of their best game performance, at least Chelsea had found a suitable strategy for them to face the next matches to improve their position in the Premier League standings as their commitment to retain the EPL title still has a chance big and for that they should be able to compete with teams that are also targeting a similar thing. |
