2521  Economy / Economics / Re: US could run out of cash as soon as Dec. 15, Janet Yellen warns on: November 24, 2021, 11:53:46 AM
It sounds bad, and it might look like the US is in trouble, but I'm with those pointing out that the US will get away with this. No other country could allow it, but given the significance of the USD worldwide and firm economic standing of the US in the world, they'll just print more or do something like that, and who knows, maybe the inflation won't even be that bad as a result because, again, dollar is in such high demand worldwide and so much other fiat relies on it as a reference point of stability, against which other coins' values are measured. One day, it will backfire, but not this time. US is still too powerful. But I do believe that the poor will be affected more than most, of course, and in this sense, it can be devastating for the US even this time around.

The US is not in trouble. The US politicians are again creating some drama that nobody needs.
The US debt ceiling debate has become a normal thing, which happens in the end of every year, since the Obama administration,if I remember this correctly.
Both parties will settle some kind of agreement and the debt ceiling will be raised again.I assume that before that agreement, there will be some accusations between both democrats and republicans,so the drama seeking mainstream media can be happy, but there will be a compromise in the end.
The USA cannot go default because they have a money printing machine and US dollar is the global currency.
2522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: November 24, 2021, 06:43:54 AM
Carrick is Solskjaer 2.0.He might win a few games at the beginning, but he will fail in the long term.
Solskjaer also started pretty good as a Manchester United manager and the fans were excited about the team's performance, but he lost momentum and he failed to recover the team.
I'm surprised that Barcelona didn't win against Benfica, but I guess that Xavi will have lots of work building a new and competitive team out of the ruins that Koeman left.
Chelsea destroying Juventus was great. There's something wrong with the Italian team. They simply can't find a replacement for Christiano Ronaldo.
2523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India plans law that will prohibit ‘all private cryptocurrencies’ on: November 24, 2021, 06:20:45 AM
Aren't cryptocurrencies already banned in India? How many times do they have to ban them?
What do they mean by "private cryptocurrencies"?Privacy coins like Monero or all cryptocurrencies?

Indian government is right for worring about the massive waves of crypto scams the country is facing as we can see through so many official ads which legitimize the scam schemes in that country. Now politicians just need to balance their decisions a little bit to not put every crypto currencies in the same dirty basket, because that isn't really fair or even benefical for themselves, if they think about this matter in a more personal way (crypto means more income for its adopters, what also means a higher taxes income for the government).

Just ban the ponzi, hyip schemes and punish their promoters, including the celebrities who use their image to deceive investors. But keep legit crypto currencies intact!

I agree with that, but it seems to me that the Indian government wants to "throw the baby with the dirty bath water",because this is way easier for them and it requires way less effort.
Ponzi schemes and HYIP schemes cannot be banned because they are illegal by default.
This is like saying that all crimes are banned. That doesn't stop the criminals from conducting more crimes.
The people in India must be educated and warned about HYIP scams,shitcoins/tokens and ponzi schemes.
Prevention and raising awareness about scams is way better than any restriction or ban.
I also agree that any misleading ads regarding the crypto industry should be banned as well.
2524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: betting online cockfight has become the new pandemic on: November 23, 2021, 12:11:58 PM
I know that there are illegal dog fighting games in my country and the people are betting money on this s*it.
Dog fighting is an even worse form of cruelty against animals compared to cockfighting. This is disgusting.
I agree that cockfighting is a part of your culture, but gambling is just gambling.People will always find something to gamble and place bets on.I'm against such perverse forms of gambling, but I can't do anything.
The sad truth is that it is extremely difficult for the authorities to find and stop such illegal gambling activities.
I've heard that most of the online animal fighting gambling games are being streamed on the darkweb.
This is just awful...

2525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if the US Govt. buys circulating Bitcoin Supply and $ is backed by $BTC ? on: November 23, 2021, 11:37:03 AM
In theory, the US government can print 1 trillion dollars and try to buy all circulating BTC.Here's what will happen:
1.The Bitcoin price will hit the moon.Good for us! Grin
2.Many BTC HODLers and traders might decide not to sell, which will pump the price to the moon even further.
3.Such decision will be heavily criticized by the political opponents. What's the point of printing 1 trillion dollars and spending them for a cryptocurrency, instead of helping the poor people and small business owners?
4.Inflation in the US and the US dollar decreasing it's value even more.

Kremlin buying Bitcoins? Are you kidding me,OP?Russia will never become a pro-Bitcoin country.
The idea of Russia buying Bitcoins is beyond my wild imagination.
2526  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin Is The Best Weapon Society Has Against Inflation & Wealth Inequality on: November 23, 2021, 07:11:03 AM
The monetary system and the tax/fiscal system are created to balance each other.
When the monetary system creates increased inequality,by money printing, giving easy loans to the rich and pumping financial asset prices, the tax system must reduce that inequality by raising the taxes for the rich, taking their additional profits and giving them back to the poor. This sounds good in theory, but it doesn't work in reality. The rich have offshore islands and great tax accountants, capable of finding multiple hidden doors in the tax system.
The governments are addicted to inflation, because it decreases their debt and gives them more tax revenue.
Wealth inequality is here to stay and Bitcoin will never solve this problem.
BTC is great against inflation, but the poor would never benefit from it's advantages, because they are too poor to buy BTC,or because they aren't tech savvy and well educated,so it's difficult for them to understand the features of Bitcoin.
2527  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💃 SlotVibe 💃 A FIESTA you can never FORGETTA // VIP Program 🏆 3500+ games ✅ on: November 23, 2021, 06:41:45 AM
It is weird that many forum members can't access the website.
I can access the website without any problems.I can say that I'm very impressed by the website design, the amount of games and the amount of deposit/withdrawal options.OP wants to be really professional and he isn't half-assing anything.I guess that there's a big team behind this project.
Does the 20 EUR minimum deposit apply to cryptocurrency deposits or is it for fiat payment methods only?
I find it weird that there is such a big minimum amount for crypto deposits.
The biggest advantage of crypto casinos compared to the fiat casinos is the really low minimum deposit.
Anyway,your website looks great,OP.
2528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin City on: November 23, 2021, 06:09:14 AM
El Salvador have continued to take the lead in cryptocurrency adoption, first the country announced bitcoin as a legal tender some months ago and the latest is the official opening of a bitcoin city which will serve as a free trade zone that will house top exchanges and bitcoin mining farms. The president announced this project which is backed with a 1 billion dollars worth of bitcoin as a bond.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/el-salvador-to-inaugurate-bitcoin-city-backed-by-1b-bitcoin-bonds

I'm very cautious, when I see news about politicians announcing such projects.
What is the incentive for a "top cryptocurrency exchange platform" or a crypto mining farm to locate their business in this so called "Bitcoin city"?No taxes and liberal crypto regulations? That's good, but is there anything else?Good infrastructure? An abundance of blockchain developers and programmers?I don't think so.
This "Bitcoin city" is supposed to be a free trade zone. There's nothing wrong with that, but I don't think that there will be multiple merchants willing to use that free trade zone, because El Salvador is a poor country and the consumer market is very small.
Anyway, that's a good initiative, but I don't trust politicians. They are capable of ruining every good project.
2529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if governments make Bitcoin centralized? on: November 22, 2021, 11:43:16 AM
It seems to me that you are recycling an old discussion. Grin
In reality, there's no point for any government to invest(or waste) billions of dollars into buying or building mining facilities.
What's the point?Getting revenue from transaction fees?Don't make me laugh.
In theory,if such thing happens and some government takes control over 51% of the hashrate, two things will happen:
1.First.The vast majority of the Bitcoin community will abandon Bitcoin Core and choose an alternative.
2.Second.The Bitcoin price will collapse to a really low value, which makes the entire operation unprofitable.
2530  Economy / Speculation / Re: will we witness year end bullrun or bull trap? on: November 22, 2021, 11:15:17 AM
Quote
will it be marching towards new milestone of $80K or $100k which has been trending in most of the crypto influencer's channels?

Do you really trust crypto influencers, when it comes to analyzing the market and predicting the future prices?
I think that most of what crypto influencers say is just wishful thinking and some "feel-good" bullish talk, that is intended to make the newbies buy crypto.I would never trust any advise coming from the crypto influencers.
Anyway, both outcomes (bull run and bull trap) are pretty much OK to me.I'm not obsessed with the future Bitcoin ATH.It can happen during December,or it can happen by the end of 2022.It doesn't matter if the price will hit 70K,80K or 100K.The profit margins are what matters the most.

2531  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and non-formal workers on: November 22, 2021, 07:03:39 AM
I don't have any info about the amount of public service emplyees interested in crypto in my country.
Actually,I do believe that almost no public service worker is going to reveal that he is investing in cryptocurrencies.Perhaps most of them still think that this is something illegal or shady.
Most of the crypto investors are freelancers, digital nomads and business owners. They are much more tech savvy and more open towards innovation and new technologies. The government clerks and public service employees are usually more conservative and traditionalist(there's nothing wrong with that).
2532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 22, 2021, 06:40:23 AM
I really want to see Zidane or Laurent Blanc as a Manchester United manager.
The Glazers gave more time and a second chance to Solskjaer, but he failed.
It's really difficult for a big team like Man United to find the right manager.People like Jose Mourinho and Louis van Gaal have failed miserably as Man United managers.Back in the late 80s,nobody was expecting Alex Ferguson to become the biggest manager in the history of Manchester United, but the owners let him work for several years before achieving any success.Nowadays,no football club owner has that patience.
2533  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far will Bitcoin price correct? on: November 21, 2021, 11:43:09 AM
With fear beginning to creep into the market after closing the day below $57K, the lowest price in over a month, do you think the bottom is now in or that price will go lower?

While most speculators don't appear to think the bull market is over, many still think price may still go lower. But how low do you think Bitcoin will go before reversing?

One month ago,I wrote a topic reply about "NO DROP November" to follow the bullish October, when it comes to the Bitcoin price.I guess I was wrong. The price is going to drop in November, which isn't bad,if you think about it.The previous October bull run lost momentum,so there will be price correction and a small bearish market during November and December, before a new bull run and FOMO phase begins to grow.
This is a good opportunity for the traders to buy more BTC.There's no FUD causing the current price drop, which means that the bullish expectations are still here, but we need something to trigger them.
We need some institutional investor or crypto whale to step in and start buying BTC.
2534  Economy / Economics / Re: People tend not to move on: November 21, 2021, 11:19:44 AM
The majority of the people hate taking risk and leaving their comfort zone.
There's also a big problem with the cost of living in countries, that have higher standard of living.
The real estate prices and the rent are also very high in such countries.
I wouldn't leave my home and my country, unless I'm really desperate.Desperation is the biggest motivator for most people. My life kinda sucks(not financially, but socially),but I'm not that desperate,so I'm not ready for radical decisions, like moving to another town or another country.
2535  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat banks and the government. on: November 21, 2021, 07:13:50 AM
The banks cannot be "happy" or "sad" due to the government regulations. They just do what they are told to do.They might lose a customer here and there, but that's not a big deal for any major bank.
Some banks are trying to fly under that radar and secretly bypass some government regulations, but they are going to pay millions or even billions of dollars worth of fines,if they get caught,so it's not worth the risk, especially when it comes to cryptocurrency related customers.I know that many banks conduct money laundering crimes, but the reward is way bigger for them,so we could say that it's worth the risk(unfortunately).
2536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot forecast on: November 21, 2021, 06:55:22 AM
Slot is one of the most preferred gaming game in most casino houses and online gambling platforms but one of it major defector is the fact that players can not give an accurate forecast of the outcome of the game and how the probably fair system works in favor of the house. Apart from dice that it outcome can easily be predicted slot on the other hand is unpredictable.

What?If the dice games outcome could be easily predicted, everyone could exploit the dice games to make money and the online casinos would go bankrupt.
The "probably fair" system can be easily verified on most casinos, but you are talking about an "accurate forecast of the outcome" which is something completely different.Dice and slots games are supposed to be unpredictable. If those games could be easily predicted, then "strategies" like martingale could work all the time.
2537  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Satoshi's 1 Million Bitcoins Legal Court Case Kleiman vs Craig Wright questions on: November 21, 2021, 06:34:59 AM
I'm not an expert on the topic, but here's my two cents.
If Craig Wright was the real Satoshi,he wouldn't act as a greedy son of a b*tch.
He would have access over the 1.1 million BTC in the Satoshi wallet, which makes him a multi-Billionaire and he wouldn't waste his time and money with court cases.
It has been proven multiple times that Craig Wright is NOT the real Satoshi,so all your assumptions that BTC will crash and BSV will go to the moon are just nonsense.
Such court cases take years before a final verdict,so we can only sit and watch all this circus.
I know that Craig Wright can't prove anything,so there's nothing interesting here.

2538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] World Championship 2021: Carlsen Vs. Nepomniachtchi on: November 19, 2021, 06:26:47 AM
Chess is probably my favorite game, even though I'm not a very good chess player. It's good to see other forum members, who are interested in chess. Grin
I would never place any bets on chess games. This seems too weird to me.Chess is not gambling, even though people are betting money for other players.
Magnus Carlsen is the obvious favorite and I'm 99.9% sure that he will win. There's no point of placing bets for Nepomniachtchi or a draw.
2539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption Report Card - Year 12 on: November 19, 2021, 06:07:45 AM
Medium of exchange means money to be spent for daily activities(not investment asset).
I guess that by medium of exchange you mean store of value.
Bitcoin cannot be poor man's money, because poor people don't have any money to invest in Bitcoin.
Your assumptions about rich men and middle class men are just an assumption. Can you backup  your assumptions with any facts, statistics or other kind of evidence? If not, then you are just writing BS.
We all know that Bitcoin adoption isn't advancing very fast, because many people and businesses are still scared of the price volatility, but slowly Bitcoin is becoming a dominating global asset/currency.
2540  Economy / Economics / Re: Introducing a state-issued cryptocurrency on: November 18, 2021, 11:13:55 AM
Union Finance Ministry has take a decision on a state-issued cryptocurrency soon but ban all private cryptocurrencies. The VHP leader had sought a ban on all cryptocurrencies alleging its usage to fund terrorism, drugs and other 'anti national activities'. As all private cryptocurrencies are still not considered as legal tender or coin in India, but the govt may introduce an official digital currency in India.

I think its a good decision by government.. What you guys think about it?

1.Any link to the source of this information?
2.Can you explain to us why this is a good decision by the government?
It seems to me that the Indian government and central bank are full with anti-crypto boomers, who keep repeating the same old "crypto is a currency of the criminals and terrorists" type of propaganda.
If India ever launches it's own state-issued cryptocurrency, who can guarantee that this state-issued cryptocurrency won't be used by criminals and terrorists?
The government coin is going to be entirely pure and free of any crime and corruption, but the cryptocurrencies are a source of evil, corruption and crime.Sounds like a joke to me.
