2521  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2022 bear market? on: January 28, 2022, 09:56:08 PM
Overnight bitcoin fell from its initial pump to $42k and dropped back to $38k of course this will be a panic that happens is bearish not a real rally will the bear market continue to rule the current market? I think a lot of people think a bear market is coming and in 2022 we can't expect much more for the first quarter, but we'll try in the next quarter how to see how the other big investors react.

I will remain vigilant for me this is still unstable from the current situation.

It's trying to reclaim the $38k price after a huge fall to $32k. So now we are in a pump, not sure how sustainable it is, but at least we are in the green in the last 2 days or so. A good indication that after so much FUD and the Omicron effect, the price is way above as what we are expected. And we are not even at the end of first quarter, maybe we can still maintain this growth to at least $50k.

It is still at this point, I thought that we will maintain the $38,000 line, but it did fall, but we have rebounded to $38,000++ now. So we will see if in this weekend we can sustain and end the month with at least a decent price and not below $30,000. So we have hit the bottom right now and there are a lot of leg room for us to work back to $50,000 in the first quarter.
I don' think having the current price at $37,083 could be its bottom. But let's wait and see as there are no negative news in the market that could pull the price again. I'm not trying to be pessimistic, but i always believe that the start of the year is mostly the bearish season. And i expect to have a lot of crypto big swings to continue at the start of the year.
If we can pull bitcoin back to $15k or below, then there will be bigger opportunity for us to buy back. But i see the chance is very slim since bitcoin has gained already a wide popularity and huge investors are already into it. However, everything is possible when the bear market starts as we have no control over a volatile market. And when that happens, we can always use it as our advantage.
2522  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be wiser than the market on: January 28, 2022, 09:41:25 PM
I believe that every trader has known now that to wise, in making decision regarding their next move under such situations, is the best thing to do, but not necessarily wiser than the market. I think that going along with the trends, buying more coin during bull season, and holding are some of the wise things being considered while they wait for the market to move. It is done to ride along the market movements and not to outsmart the market itself. I think that everyone’s here just trying to make out of their best possible ones, based on experiences and history, to make profit given the volatile circumstances.
That is the nature of trading. We can be more profitable sometimes, and make losses other times. But never to compete with the market because we can never win from it. Just be wise enough and trade within your limits. After all, we do have our smart moves in trading so that we can ride with the market, and not to compete with it.
2523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is El Salvador in debt because of the bitcoin price drop? on: January 28, 2022, 09:05:33 PM
El Salvador's debt has been steadily going up for a number of years. This is the issue with the crypto bubble, a bunch of people thinks that BTC (or crypto in general) is the only factor in saving or killing an economy, and that's just not how the economy works. It's never a single thing, and things such as BTC accumulation will not affect the overall debt projected in the oncoming years. And when BTC goes back up, you will see that El Salvador's debt will not change that much either. SO the short answer is NO, it's in debt because it has had economic turmoil for a number of years prior.
El Salvador has been in debt crisis already even before which made them to switch into bitcoin hoping that it could be the answer from their poor economic condition. And that's when they start buying 410 bitcoins at a higher price. Maybe this is the reason why most of the critics think that El Salvador is definitely in high debts right now since the price of bitcoin falls. But no, because they are not selling their coins at a lower value. They even buy more of it as their main plan is to hold bitcoin for long term so they can gain extreme profits from it in the future.
2524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2022 be the year of ETH 2.0? on: January 28, 2022, 01:44:05 PM
ETH 2.0 from year to year like just a discourse, I don't see any significant changes in ETH. The low gas costs promised to date have not materialized, so don't expect too much at ETH 2.0
Actually we don't know yet when 2.0 comes to place if the Gas fee issue will be addressed and will take into action because this is the big concern of all the ethereum users and supporters as there are lot of coins that almost the same as ethereum with so much Low fee to use.

But I can feel your sentiment here as the network must not be like bitcoin when congestion happens .

When it comes to high gas fees of ethereum, a lot of users have been really affected with that. But hey, ethereum's demand has even surged in 2021 and even if its close competitor Solana has emerged, i can see that there are still a lot of users who trust ethereum more than Solana blockchain. Source: https://www.cnbc.com/2021/11/05/what-to-know-before-investing-in-ethereum-competitor-solana-sol.html

I think we have to get used of ethereum's price, otherwise we'll shift into Solana.
2525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: There is fear in the market, isn't it time to buy? on: January 28, 2022, 01:05:51 PM
Basically this means a stressful days for huge numbers of traders who remained waiting for so long, and yet fears comes in with the market. All those things is a great factors to consider buying but a case to case basis because more people have been playing so dumb with it. Specially the whales have been taking their steps now, when you panic sell their buying powers is already prepared to take it confidently. So the best options if you have your holdings with is to hold it and hold until another bounce comes back.
I do not think that people should be afraid to hold things right now. We are in the bear market and obviously all things will be lower right now, but hodl them as long as possible without putting yourself in financial strain and you will be able to get out with profit when the bull run comes.

People who bought the ATH back in 2017, ended up with a profit in 2020, that is around 3 years worth of wait, and maybe it will take that long this time around as well? Or maybe people who bought at 64k during late April last year, had to wait until October to profit, so that was quick, who knows maybe in a few months we will be like that too? I believe that it will take until summer or at most October/November period, and we will break our ATH again for sure, but I can't guarantee anything, so that is why I am doing it myself and giving out advices.
2021 was definitely a big break for bitcoin since it was able to reach multiple all time highs. But what's next? Starting this year 2022 with a bear market? I think that's what is happening right now and we can see most of the coins are experiencing price decline. This makes most investors to fear in the market and panic. But we are not supposed to feel like this, instead we should be thankful that we are given another opportunity to buy, and not to miss chances again. This is the best time to buy while bitcoin price is still not surging.
2526  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Company on: January 27, 2022, 11:57:05 PM
Its pure scam, how can you give access to your money to the person who randomly emailed you on the internet. Let's make it more interesting just asking for their experience will expose everything, if they give you any domain then just corss check its registration and reviews on the legitimate site reviewing websites to verify it.

On what OP received, maybe it's a pure scam. But as far as I know, there are legitimate brokers because, in the first place, that's how it works. Users will deposit money and let the broker do their work. I also don't know if something reputable service like that exists in the crypto-world. But for the stock market, there are legitimate ones.

The bottom line is, OP should just ignore that email. A company isn't sending messages to random people but the client instead will make business with that company.
Good advice. Stay away from those trading brokers who are a complete stranger to you. You cannot just send your funds to anyone just because he had made successful trades in the past, its very easy to say online that he's good enough but you really don't know what's the truth behind it. Trust yourself. There's no other person that can make better trades than yourself because you know your capability and you know how far it will go.
2527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Still haven't sold a bit of BTC since 2013... if I can do it you can do it too! on: January 27, 2022, 08:18:21 PM
I salute your courage and patience for hodling your BTC for quite a long time since 2013 next year will mark a decade, this is indeed remarkable feat and achievement even a time when bitcoin reached several ATH you remained steadfast and resolute and hodl on, I believed that some others hodlers would also want to share their own experience and testimony, however majory of them must exchange some of their bitcoin to fiat during ATH bearing in mind that they had already earned some decent profits.
I envy your commitment OP and how you show dedication to your stored bitcoins. Although i want to do it as well, but this lack of funds sometimes push me to sell my bitcoin especially when there's a new ATH achieved. But honestly, i never regret my decision because i had used it to my own advantage and i benefited the profits i have made that time. So it's still not a loss for me. Hopefully, i can hold longer the next time.
2528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 27, 2022, 02:11:03 PM
Another win by the Chicago Bulls but yet another win that was a very close call. I’m not sure what’s going on with the Bulls but they seem to keep blowing huge leads in the 4th quarter.  It’s kind of an odd deal and I’m glad they’ve been making these come backs but they can’t keep this up for forever.
Close but enough to cover the spread, DeRozan and Lavine with another spectacular game. As long as both are playing together the bulls are hard to beat although from a dominant game or a come from behind win. They are healthy again but they'll improve more if Caruso and Ball will come back soon.
2529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 27, 2022, 01:17:27 PM
If Inoue would want an impressive fight from Casimero then he wouldn't have to wait this long because when Casimero upset Tete, that was the best timing to challenge him or accept the challenge. Casimero has been challenging him but he seem not responding seriously, so I don't know if he is really interested or just making an excuse so he could not face Casimero.

Casimero's antics got Inoue that is why the latter really want to face Casimero at first but as time goes by and Inoue have realized that whatever Casimero have said on social media is just a way for him to accept the challenge, he no longer interested on fighting him unless it is for the unification of the belt.

Casimero is a bit problematic at the moment as the problems with MP Promotions has not yet been solve and he has no conditioning coach but i do hope that they will patch up the problems with Sean Gibbons before April 23, the scheduled date of the fight.

Well, let's wait for the result of this fight, if Casimero will successfully defend his title, then the next fight might be a unification fight. For a champion like Casimero, the promoter should not be messing with his career as they can make a lot of money from him as long as they give him a big fight, and no bigger fights in this division than Inoue or Donaire.
2530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoin will go 10x this year? on: January 26, 2022, 09:38:09 PM
There are two coins Babydoge and Shiba.
Even though I hold babydoge the only thing going for it is charity. Shiba got a lot more going for it, shiba gonna take over crypto world and I can’t wait for the non believers too jump on the band wagon.
If Shiba Inu can take over the crypto world, then a big disaster will happen to the crypto world, because there has never been in the history of the crypto world if the crypto space was controlled by meme tokens that have no real use and are also tangible products.
Its far from my own expectation Shiba Inu could go 10x profitable this year. Yes, there are still chances for meme coins like dogecoin and Shiba Inu to recover again but if there will be an altcoin that will be 10x its value this year, it must be a real established altcoin. It can be ethereum or BNB. The only hope for ethereum is if its new version eth.20 will be release, then probably its high gas fee will be given solutions too. And BNB i think will be more profitable too as Binance has always been supporting it throughout its journey in the crypto market.
2531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: January 26, 2022, 09:03:50 PM
It seems that this is kinda late right?

Both of them are way past their primes already, they should have fought when at least they can still pull the trigger. But when Brook fought GGG and lost and broke his orbital bone and then Khan knock the hell out by Canelo, I would say that after that, both are wash up already. Maybe Khan has lost his speed already and we all know that he has a glass chin. So I will go with Kell Brook here, not sure if he can get a knock out, may stoppage late like in 10-11 rounds.

Stil hype though specially for British boxing as this two is domestic rivals and for sure still have fans in UK that bought their tickets.
I agree that it is kind of late on their careers but boxing is also for entertainment so I do not mind as long as we get to see a good fight, however I really believe the KO that Khan suffered against Canelo is the main reason he is not the same he was, in other sports we can see a gradual fade of the skills of the stars we like, but in boxing this can happen with a single punch, and since then Khan has not been the same.

This fight IMO is very unpredictable, we should not base on the betting odds, we should base on the respective fighter's performance in their previous game. I guess Khan won his last game but I still think Kell Brook is the more durable guy as this fight could go to the judges' scorecard or one clean punch to the chin of Khan here will end the fight.
2532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 26, 2022, 08:36:50 PM
Last time, there was a discussion about Mark Pingris going to be a player of MPBL IIRC. Now, he's not just a player for another league but higher than that and that's being a commissioner on the Pilipinas Super League. Isn't it a threat for the PBA with the launch of different leagues in our country? or they're supporting it and has no problems with it?

Another interesting venture from Pinoy Sakuragi, not sure if there's any conflict between PBA and this new league.

Just assuming if there's certain conflict, Pingris will think twice before accepting the job, we already discuss the reasons why

he didn't play with MPBL, maybe that will be that same reason in case this Pilipinas Super League will be a direct competitor of PBA

He needs to set things up, or just like how you think about it, maybe PBA is supporting this league..

That's not a problem as long as there's no conflict. More league is better as it gives a lot of opportunities for our talent to grow, we know that PBA has very big requirements in order to qualify in the PBA draft, with small leagues now, if you have the skills and talent, you can play and can be popular.
2533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 26, 2022, 08:13:12 PM
It is really an important point for Warriors. They shouldn't be depending on Curry only all the time. They should be able to play as a team as much as possible to have a bigger chance for the finals and the championship also. I really am impatient about Thompson which I must admit.  Grin  Thompson has been back from his long-lasting injury finally but he is still recovering his old performances. For now, he is playing average. But until the playoffs, he can be strong again and him and Curry would do a great job like old times.

The old warriors that we want are what we saw during their game with the Mavericks or their last game. Look at the points distribution, they are well distributed and Curry does not have to score like 30 to 40 points in order for them to win, if they keep this kind of consistency, I think they have a very good chance to be in the Finals this season.
2534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investment against inflation on: January 25, 2022, 11:44:05 PM
Bitcoin is good both as an investment and a means of payment, especially in the current financial situation.
Indeed. But only few people have realized this since they all believe in fiat which is now heavily affected with the rising inflation. But what the owner has did through putting bitcoin atm machine in all of his branches is definitely a good strategy that will open the minds of people that bitcoin is a good alternative to fiat that can hedge inflation and can save your own economy from collapsing. Because bitcoin itself is deflationary, so we can expect that it will surely beat the inflation that we are facing right now.
2535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will cryptos go into Bull season? on: January 25, 2022, 09:04:23 PM
Yes, everyone who has a strong hands and hearts shall stay. If you're low in spirit, you shouldn't be in a highly volatile market such as crypto or just bitcoin alone.
These drops are leading everyone to lose their trust and patience and that's why only the strongest survive. It's true that pressure and stress are on all of us but if you know how to handle it, you'll definitely survive.

It's a survival journey. If you have a good plan before jumping in, there's no rush now.

You can simply follow whatever you think is better for your investment. Changing the direction may lead you to unexpected
outcome, it's a must have concrete plans before doing anything.

We are seeing corrections and it keeps on falling. The matter now is to have that trust, holding and allowing the cycle will
lessen your chances of losing your money.
The most patient will stay on the market and they're the ones that will survive these down trends. We don't know how long it shall last but as long as you get to see it happen.
And, you've prepared yourselves from it, you're okay to seeing it because you have that goal of waiting for it for another year or two. That depends on the goal you've set. I agree it's survival, you don't know if the market will put you emotional to push you to panic sell.
Right. This bearish season will always test those who are weak or strong, and only those strong hands will come up successful in the end. Patience i think is the best key every time we see prices dropping sharply. But let's not rush this time as bull season will always come when there are signs in the market for recovery. For now, lets prepare for that bullish season while enjoying this bearish season and fill the bags with great coins that will always come out profitable after a long wait is over.
2536  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $30k the bottom for this dip? on: January 25, 2022, 08:35:36 PM
it looks like we are in recovery now?

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/

the increase is starting because we have gained 3k for the last 24 hours and still showing strong moving up.

though i don't wanna take this that high yet we can see that bitcoin is keeping its positioning in Upwards even there are many FUD happening recently ..
Just because we reached a higher level today doesn't mean that it will keep going higher, it also doesn't mean that it will keep going lower neither. It just doesn't mean anything at all. Do not try to look at the price right now and try to guess what is going to happen in the future, when we were at around 68k people didn't guess that we would be 50%+ lower, and yet it did happen.

So, what happens right now has nothing to do with the future, it is just the way it is at that point. I am guessing that a recovery and another drop is possible, feel like we will get to like 38k to 40k levels for a while, and then drop to 30k or even slightly less than that. Unfortunately we are in the bear market right now and we just need to realize the current situation.
For me, since we are in a bearish season, then anything is possible for bitcoin to drop its value into $30k or maybe lower than that. Just like when the market is bullish, we are always hoping for its price to reach new ATH, so the scenario still the same, we can only expect for the worst price of bitcoin as long as its bearish. But looking on its positive side, having that said price of $30k, i think that's already a big opportunity for us to invest in bitcoin while its very low. Anyone who's still hesitant to buy at that price will surely regret once the market starts to recover again.
2537  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy low, Sell high? on: January 24, 2022, 09:32:52 PM
It's hard to decide our personal entry price, but we can do some analysis to decide that. If the price keeps falling then just put more money until you dont have any cold money that you can use for investment so just wait for something big to happen. There's no guarantee that the price will get it's ATH next year or even this year the thing that we can do is just believe the price will reach a new ATH someday.
Some of the analysis done will indeed help to where our limit is to buy, but it all depends on the market, if the decline continues and BTC support continues to be broken, then the $30k price area will be able to be passed.
at this time if you have a lot of spare money will be very useful and can buy at a cheaper price. Yet some of us have already put all the cold cash on some altcoins that are experiencing major declines. Reaching new ATH or not this year we can only wait for the bear market to end.
The market has fall deeper so this is  a good opportunity to start buying at a low price not just for popular altcoins, but definitely more on bitcoin as its always the first to make a price surge. While others see this as a good opportunity to enter the market, others are also feeling fear and panic because they are fool enough that this is the end of crypto and losses are coming their way. When in fact, they will only lose if they start selling at a low price.
2538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 22, 2022, 08:45:45 PM
Too tempting and this will be a hard decision for Coach Topex.

Too tempting indeed but i don't think that he would bite the offer as he would be away for his family for a long time. Filipinos are too attached to their families so i don't think that coach Topex will be coaching in Japan soon, maybe if he had no more job in the Philippines then i think that he go there to coach.

It's a good thing though that coaches had been noticed in Japan, maybe they want to experiment what works in their system, US or Philippine style of coaching.

What if he will decide, maybe his one season's salary in Japan would be equivalent to 5 seasons here in the Philippines.  if the PBA is okay, I guess he will take the opportunity and show the Filipino talent in Japan, not only players are given the opportunity but the coaches as well.

Based on harizen's given figure above, it would have a difference of 75K Php more or less per month salary so i don't think that a one stint in Japan will be equal to five years coaching here in PH.

Well, if coach Topex wanted another feather on his cap, he could take that offer and comeback to the PH apply what he have experienced overseas.

That's a good idea, hopefully, the PBA owners will not make it personal to ban a coach once they accept and offer abroad. What happened is the PBA will become a training ground for the coaches and the fact that another league is interested in the coaches too, means the training ground is good.

If coach Topex really needs more money and more experience, he should grab this opportunity on the line already, it's not everyone is given this kind of chance.
2539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 22, 2022, 08:20:16 PM

Surely he has but still, it will take on a load on the fighter's side even by small chance. It's the first time I think he wasn't able to catch up with the weight. But good thing it's only a small weight to burn were for us, it will be difficult but since they are a professional boxer, it won't harm them.

Magsayo was told not to be comfortable that Russell is having a weight problem. He should remain on his usual form the first time the fight was announced.

Focus and not to put that advantage inside his mind, though maybe slight difference with Russell's health but likewise, with good nutrionist that may not affect his capabilities, in Magsayo's side, he should continue to think about strategy and what his advantage once they already meet inside the ring.

It's Magsayo's opportunity. Better not to let this big break passed.

Hope he will win and bring another pride to the country, lining his name to all those Pilipino pride.. Wink Smiley

Finally, the day has come, I believe that everyone is already excited.

Please, anyone who knows where or what platform we can use to watch the game live, don't hesitate to share it here as everyone wants to watch and support of Fellow country man trying to get his first championship. Good luck to Magsayo and to the bettors who risk their money on him.
2540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you buying during this dip? on: January 22, 2022, 07:21:25 PM
Hey guys, I'm just curious what are you guys buying during this dip?  because I have added more Near to my bag and with some  eth,Aurora and Bnb, so what are you guys buying maybe I can consider adding it to my bag cause I still have a few usdt left...

I would like hear your feedbacks. Smiley

Well, aside from bitcoin. I'm focusing on buying more BNB, ETH and ADA to maximize my portfolio even more when the market recovers again. There's no telling yet when will the market recover but in the time being, I'm currently using and taking advantage at this situation that we're now experiencing to buy more while it's cheap.
I will instead focus on buying bitcoins to grow my holdings, as prices are currently dropping which is a huge discount to buy them and buy incrementally whenever the lowest price is reached.
actually now is the right time to buy any altcoin depending on your belief and best analysis for the long term, and but the top altcoins will be more promising and trustworthy for you to buy because right now all prices are down.
We don't need to choose either because if we have enough funds on hand, i think buying more bitcoin and some top altcoins will be ideal for long term hodling. We always believe in them so we need not to fear from investing in them particularly now that they are in deep bargain. And besides, if we start buying them right now, we will have multiple profits in the future and that's for sure because there are no times really that those top coins on the list will never be profitable when bullish season comes.
