Could you please stop with the scrypt , sha, and x11 algo's? thx

Ah too bad :/ Did you have any fans or something connected to it during the test ? The built in fan in most new psu:s wont start running until you put some serious load on it. So if you jump start it and the fan stands still in the psu that might be it. [/quote] Yes true so I checked one 12 volt rail but got nothing. Fan didn't turn by design. And it should show 1 watt on my watt meter but nothing. Free replacement.

You can run ccminer with the -e switch to turn it off. -e I don't know what that is. sp do you have the latest readme file on ccminer ? Ps contributions coming soon. Got my new rig working again with 2 750ti....2 980ti . EDIT: Electrical power line went down yesterday and burn out my new rig......... f#@&............ it will have to wait. did you have some kind of power protection on that rig? Didn't even have a chance to set that up......a long story short... didn't have the money to buy one yet. I think its the mb.... I have a second on that I will be putting on the rig. you can make a quick power protection box by using an old UPS, even with broken battery and low capacity, if it has some "surge protection only" plugs. Ok I have a power protection but wasn't plugged in... it's a long story. But I need to know if it is the psu or the mb. Need to check the psu first. EDIT: It is plugged into a watt meter but? At this point I can't get it to start with crossing the power pins. Sorry to hear about that. Depending on your power supply and/or country I use this to test dead supplies. I have about 3 in my closet. Hope it helps if you have never seen or heard of this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixcWCrYpw3YUSE extreme caution Good youtube video...I'm going to try that. EDIT: No green wire...all black. Got to get the schematic of course not supplied to do this. Ps for all you young people they use to supply the schematics for every piece of electronics you would buy. The terminals are always the same on all psu:s: http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=394So if the cables are all black just make sure you shortcut the right connectors and it will fire up right away if it is not broken. edit. Also found this: http://www.overclock.net/t/1420796/lightbox/post/20663594/id/1687585If you have a Antec HCP-1300 Platinum psu there you have it black on white Thx it was very easy to test. It's dead. ANTEC is now on my list as absolute GARBAGE. And if it burned out my graphics cards....

Yes, but in the 70's everything had it. Here is one feature that psu has. CircuitShield™ - Full suite of industrial grade protections: Over Current Protection (OCP), Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Under Voltage Protection (UVP), Short Circuit Protection (SCP), Over Power Protection (OPP), Over Temperature Protection (OTP), Surge & Inrush Protection (SIP), No Load Operation (NLO) & Brown-Out Protection (BOP)

I reread the specs on the psu and it has build in surge protection so I'm not sure if it's the mb or the psu. Since the psu has this feature then it seems that any surge can't get to the mb....but? The psu is antec 1300 watt platinum joonyguru gives it a 9.9 out of 10. may it be just a melt fuse on the PSU? maybe it's easy to replace, even without opening the psu case, which would void the warranty. There is no visible fuse socket and yes if I open the case it will void the warranty.

Hi SP. thanks for build. can confirm speed up on 750Ti 30-40 kh/s small donation in dash: Transaction ID: 39d1110129585ae0646c35c900e471de9627ee51f3041c79518757e784305ba8-000 Do you have any plans about working on X11 algo? There is rumor of asics comig out soon that will do x11 so I consider x11 a dead algo for gpu's. But just a rumor. there are companies out there that have been wanting to do this for a very long time - and some companies actually succeeded from what ive read in the past .., but none have actually gone into production with it due to the cost of the asic systems themselves ... so far - almost all calculations based on asic design is one hell of a non-profitable ( yes - this time i mean fiat ) method of manufacture ... if it was worth the effort - it would have hit productions systems already ... this doesnt mean they are not going to do it - it just simply means that when they can see a nice big fat fiat prifit at the end of the manufacturing cylce for x11 - they will do it ... and then we change algos to mine something different again ... the beauty of gpu ... ... #crysx and then we change algos to mine something different again ... the beauty of gpu ... yes But in the testing phase ...they maybe mining with lots of them right now. For me x11 had a good profit for about 2 months. Now it's dead too me. But crysx I got my new rig going, the one that I put precision x 16 on , and it finally recognized the 4 card. It has 2 750ti's and 2 980ti's. It ran for a week then I was checking my hashrate to operating temp. so I put one 980ti fan at 100% and then the other 980ti fan at 100%. What I saw for 1 second on the fan speed on the second 980ti was 4,800 rpm And then the system didn't recognize that card...fan run away? I don't know..but I wasn't able to lower the fan speed. I tried updating the bios which I thought was latest but not. The mb was stuck at " you need to put in the extra power cables "which where there of course. So I ordered another mb and see what happens. The 2nd 980ti maybe stuck at fan run away I dont know. thats actually quite strange ... i dont have a great deal of experience with oc or with gpu control over nvidia ... the gpus thefarm has are all running at stock clocks and stock default values ... i tried messing with oc for about 15mins a while back and found that with nvidia - it is very difficult ... so why the fan at 100% would kill the card is beyond me ... motherboards are rarely the reason for gpu failure or recognition ( though that does happen at times ) ... let us know how you go ... i am quite interested as how this pans out - as im looking at putting together a 6 x gigabyte 980ti g1 system to see how it performs ... though it is still a while off before its built - as its a very expensive piece of hardware to put together ... what psu do you have to run the 980ti cards? ... which is the best psu to run for 6 of them? ... #crysx I forgot to say that the 2015 bios wasn't loaded..it was a 2014 bios. It should have loaded but now when done loading everything I will make sure it's upto date. >so why the fan at 100% would kill the card is beyond me ...< I'm not sure the card is dead yet. >motherboards are rarely the reason for gpu failure or recognition ( though that does happen at times ) ...< it seems like it is the mb..it wont let me get pass the warning .... add the extra power cable....which is on there of course. >as im looking at putting together a 6 x gigabyte 980ti g1 system to see how it performs< that was what I was going to do. But I stopped at 2 980ti and 2 750ti because the new technology will be out soon plus I need some fiat for bills. As far as the psu it should take 6 980ti but a psu at 1500watts mine is 1300watts ..depends on the algo too. 1300 should run 6 but on low power consumption algos. Was thinking of 5 980ti and one 750ti but. One thing if I needed it was to sli the psu's. It's an altec platinum continuous power psu..it will deliver 1300 watts continuously. As far as oc nvidia's sweet spot is 1345 max on stable oc ing. I have that setting on all my 750ti's..I have every make of gigabyte there is. Their standard ..small oc..oc...and their super oc... the super oc is a card that I don't oc because it stays at 1345 max during the hash cycles. A rare card. EDIT: My 980ti's were in the P2 state and my 750ti are in the P0 state..I don't understand why. Or how yet to change this. And with the new mb I will be using nvidia inspector.

By the time we'll see the first advertisements for x11 ASICs will probably be the time their profitability dropped a lot and the race begins. Yes exactly.

yeah. The Neoscrypt kernal is pretty good.
Looks like the latest changes in the lyra2v2 is hurting the 980/980ti performance.. Since I have added a memory access (level1 cache) I think the tpb(threads per block) needs to be retuned. search for these lines in the code (lyra2rev2.cu)
and change tpb
1,2,3,4,5,6,7.... 256?
else if (strstr(props.name, "980")) { intensity = 256 * 256 * 18; tpb = 8; }
and...
else if (strstr(props.name, "980 Ti")) { intensity = 256 * 256 * 18; tpb = 8; }
Well I can't compile and my new rig with the 2 980ti's died will have a new one today.

Less beers? Not necessarily less grateful, probably just a lot less, miners.
Hard times for the public kernals.. So I am adding a few percent. cheers Consider tackling Neoscrypt, it's currently the most profitable and hasn't been updated in quite some time... There are quite a few bot miners with CPU miners as well as you can see on the multipools so there is a lot of leeway there when it comes to GPUs taking a bigger slice of things. It always seems like when things hit rock bottom Neoscrypt is always there to catch things. No ..I never made any profit on that because other algo's are always paying more.

But when I put in ccminer a private kernel as ccminer_sp and delete the original I get an error. How do I replace ccminer_sp with the latest ccminer in the bin folder ? And I need it access my bat file on this computer only that has -d 0,1,2 -i 16,0,0 in it.
What error do you get? You can simply change ccminer_sp.exe in it should work out-of-the box with the new binary. For all additional parameters you can simply append it to config.json at particular algorithm. Ok I see...put it as ccminer_sp.exe.......ok thx It won't recognize my ccminer.exe in place of your ccminer_sp.exe thx You have to rename your file, name it "ccminer_sp.exe" and overwrite original "ccminer_sp.exe". I did and then it shows an error on opening the miner control.
