2541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Common Types of Bonuses Offered by Online Casinos on: July 03, 2022, 03:26:52 PM
Do you check the types of bonuses offered by an online casino before signing up?
It can be very misleading if bonuses are the first and only thing you consider before signing up for an online casino, you may sign up for a dubious casino even without your knowledge. Some dubious casino's can take advantage and offer very enticing bonus to lure unsuspecting user's who consider bonus first and not credibility and long time record of a casino they are about to sign up for.

As much as bonuses are good, we should avoid following after bonuses blindly.
2542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is for big bag holders on: July 03, 2022, 12:39:32 PM
Martingale once again a failed strategy when you don't have big bag of money.
I agree with you that the martingale strategy favours those who have money to keep doubling their bets, regardless of losses... but for someone without money the martingale strategy is the surest way of becoming poor. As a gambler before you apply any strategy in gambling, you have to know if it is a strategy designed to work better when you have sufficient capital or not.

Don't just apply any strategy thinking it will work, assumptions they say is the mother of all f*ck ups.

2543  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for Trading job on: July 02, 2022, 10:43:58 PM
I have no access to any funding resources like loans, debts etc. so I have decided to take my chance to find a trading partner here.
Unfortunately OP, there are many traders like you who claim not to have any form of capital and are seeking to trade with someone else's money. In my honest opinion i do not see this as a viable/sustainable source of income for you. if it's were possible i advise you trying out your energy into seeking ways to get your own money rather than looking for another person's to use.

Since you claim to be a professional trader you can show results to the extent that people would want to offer you the money to trade for them. It is not enough highlighting your own skills, you may just be hyping. It makes more sense when someone offers you their money  on their own to trade for them rather than you seeking for someone to give you money to trade for them.
2544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Debunking misconceptions about Crypto Currencies on: July 02, 2022, 09:56:03 PM
It is up to us to debunk misconceptions about Crypto Currencies...
Unfortunately, some people as a result of the misconceptions that they have accommodated, they have even without knowing taken wrong conclusions that crypto is not good for them, while others that crypto is a scam. As crypto hodlers we must try as much to assist those who have been ill informed with proper information and proof. In trying to debunk a certain misconception, we must do it constructively and not in a manner that can mistaken for being rude or forceful.
2545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is a Must sharing happiness About Bitcoin on: July 02, 2022, 08:37:58 PM
All i could say is that " Sir i think is the right time we should adopt digital currency as means of payment"
They asked how do you mean? I went forth by explaining to them; We all can receive our salaries/wages through digital currencies
It is great that you work in a company where the opinions of their staffs
are taking seriously and even considered, many companies will not give you the opportunity to give solutions to their challenges.  I can also bet that your value in the company has increased even without your knowledge. For your bosses, they will give you more preference now because of your valuable and working solution that you preferred to a problem.  Nice one OP, you have distinguished yourself from every other personnel employed in that office.

Everyone needs to know about bitcoins, it is great that you are playing your part.
2546  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Beware]New scammer scheme using exchange on: July 02, 2022, 06:09:25 PM
Recently some random guy message me on telegram and ask me to help him withdraw his balance to avoid tax.
Everyday there's a new thread about a new method of how scammers operate. Telegram in subject has become very jam packed with scammers who previously opened up scam investment groups but it is now obvious that they have upgraded their crypto currency scamming method.

In all avoid any random individual who just pops up from the blue and offers you a percentage to complete a task. Don't think that you are the lucky one out of many to be offered a huge percentage, they try this method with many person's in one day hoping to take advantage of the greedy ones, don't be the greedy one.

2547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Inherited gambling on: July 01, 2022, 10:46:12 PM
I know we are greatly influenced by the environment we are born into and sometimes become gamblers because of where we find ourselves, i also considered the possibility of gambling being hereditary and found out that it is also possible, that is gambling can be hereditary ,
Quote
Gambling is linked to a gene that is passed on through generations and a new study claims that it is passed on to both sons and daughters alike.
now come to think of it since it is difficult to escape our genetic makeup,
- Would you blame an individual who becomes addicted to gambling because it is wired to his DNA?

-Can their gambling problem be put in check by regular methods?

-Will the addiction be worse than someone who picked up the habit?
2548  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I start learning to develop on the Bitcoin Blockchain [LN] on: July 01, 2022, 09:26:02 PM
I would love a little guidance on learning to develop Dapps and smart contracts on the Bitcoin Blockchain. Totally a newbie here, so it would be great to start from the ABC of developing on Bitcoin Blockchain.

please provide some Resources as there are almost none I found on YT and other Websites[particularly not a fan of YT tutorials until they are worth it]
Since you are not a fan of YT Tutorials OP,  do yo think you can discipline yourself to commit to any resource that will be referred to you here. Don't force it if you don't do well learning online, there are two categories of persons, the ones who can learn things easily online, while those that do better with offline knowledge. Be sincere with yourself where you belong and adjust to that learning style.

If finance is not an issue, i'd advice that in addition to what you have be given here, if learning online is not so much your thing, seek for a professional in your locale who can offer one on one teaching and guidance, learning offline and from someone's experience can facilitate the learning process.
2549  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How certain are you that cryptocurrency will experience more parabolic bull runs on: July 01, 2022, 08:54:21 PM
Are you confident that cryptocurrency will recover, and when do you think that will happen?
At the start of the year, many predicted the value of BTC to get to about 80K and above... but the recent state of the market has made many persons begin to doubt if what was predicted can still happen. The bear market was very unexpected, likewise so the bull will be. I am confident because, just as series of news affected the market and caused the bear, so will series of news reinstate confidence back and cause the market to bull. We can't tell when exactly it will happen, but real soon it is expected, what we can do is hodl and continue to watch the market.
2550  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You can avoid most scams by simply keeping your private key/seed to yourself on: July 01, 2022, 04:28:35 PM
You can avoid most of such scam attempts by simply keeping your wallet's private key and seed phrase to yourself.
And by also not being in a hurry but taking time to read through pop ups before you click to follow any link. Most of these pop ups use words like "emergency", "urgency", words that put you under pressure and may make you not to delay or second check before taking a decision. Taking decisions in a hurry can be very risky and some may cost you a lot. If you are not sure of a pop up on your device, try to be humble enough to ask someone who has more knowledge than you rather than deciding to try it out on your own first.

Newbies also need to be told that they do not necessarily need to put any details on such a website for their details as much as their seed phrase to be stolen, just merely clicking the link and visiting the website is enough for hackers to introduce a malware that can steal your seed phrase if stored on your device by itself.
2551  Other / Off-topic / Re: Password managers or passwords from memory on: July 01, 2022, 03:29:06 PM
The purpose of this topic is to know which of the two ways this community thinks is the safest!!!
In my opinion they can both be considered safe and unsafe depending on the person using them. For password managers, they are susceptible to malware attacks from cyber criminals that can steal your master password and as a result gain access to all the passwords stored within, they can be considered safe for those with some tech awareness, and unsafe for those without any tech knowledge/awareness, those who have no idea when their device is under a malware attack. While for those who choose to play it safe and avoid hackers hence use passwords from memory can easily be disappointed by memory and mix up the passwords for different accounts or even forget some passwords. Using one password from memory is also not advisable, rather create a pattern that you use in setting unique passwords for any account, so whenever you remember the pattern you can easily recall your password.
2552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and MLM Schemes on: June 30, 2022, 10:57:29 PM
First off OP, your choice of username reminds me a ponzi scheme I got involved in some time ago with the exact name "zarfund", and funny enough you already have some negative trust.
I just heard that gambling is just like MLM schemes as people only loses both in gambling and MLM schemes ?
People say a lot of things you have to be careful who you listen to, as for the drawing similarity, people sometimes may choose to see a relationship between two things when there is no really real relationship. If you analyse to see the difference between MLM and gambling you find out that there are a lot of differences, that just a few similarities is not enough to say they are alike.
2553  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: June 30, 2022, 10:34:13 PM
Other countries don dey get CBDC, so e go beta make we follow put body at once, who knows wetin e go turn tomorrow.
I like the way you dey think guy, i like your perspective. The thing wey dey vex most persons including me na the large amount of money them talk say dem spend take launch the project (you know how corruption dey be) and also the fact say the thing cun get wrong timing as per say na just after our government start to put eye for crypto matter nai dem go voltage CBDC come board.

As for election, be careful with the opinions of your religious leaders, vote for the candidate of your choice and don't let them influence you, some of them are selecting the candidates good for them and you will be wrong not to consider your own opinions.
2554  Economy / Economics / Re: Uganda’s gold discovery: What it could mean for crypto !!! on: June 30, 2022, 09:53:03 PM
Is gold becoming inflationary? Can Bitcoin replace it as a store of value due to its scarcity and reliability?
To many, bitcoin cannot yet be regarded as a reliable store of value, and gold will still remain top on their option list despite any information about an increase in supply. The demand for gold is very high so any little quantity that the Ugandan government can mine and continue to supply to the market, will quickly be taken off the market for use, hence gold will not be as random as we may think and prices may not fall.

would be nice if they can really get some of it now to help the Ugandans people.
It would be nice of corruption doesn't set in.
2555  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin Reduce the Global Wealth and Income Inequalities in 2022? on: June 30, 2022, 08:42:46 PM
Is it still possible that in 2022 Bitcoin can help reduce this wealth and income inequality? Bearing in mind that most people were not early adopters.
Early adopters or not, the wealth/income inequality can be reduced by crypto even this year if the people who are experiencing inequality have made smart investment choices with whatever finance they had on ground and bought the dip, or buy this dip.

But the hard truth is that most persons who are really facing this wave of harsh economic situation, barely have enough to feed, talk less of having enough for investment purpose. As a result many "not rich" persons may find it impossible to even buy bitcoins now the prices are low...so in conclusion, we may not experience much change in wealth/income inequality from bitcoins alone this year, there has to be a general improvement in the economy for real reduction in wealth/income inequality.
2556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons why people avoid KYC in gambling casino ? on: June 30, 2022, 04:34:07 PM
It's been observed that gamblers prefer to play on casino which do not enforce KYC.
so long as there as are casino's that offer their services  without KYC verification, gamblers will always flock towards those because there is a high level of mistrust amongst gamblers for casino's that ask for KYC . People are very uncertain what these casino's what to do with their data and cannot trust them enough with the safety of your private information especially since their motives are uncertain.

The intention is to just gamble, not to introduce yourself to casino before you can use their services, this is suspicious...and as long as there are options that bypasses kYC, people will choose it.
2557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lost all btc on: June 29, 2022, 10:40:08 PM
logged into btc for the first time since january and someone made a transaction on my acc for all of my btc last month. is there anything i can do to potentially get it back or is it gone?
This is so sad to read OP, you should have been more careful with the device where your btc was stored and trusted less friends. Unfortunately your bitcoin is long gone and nothing can be done to get it back. One thing seems certain though that the person who did it is most likely someone you are very familiar with, someone you informed that you were into crypto currency, trust and usually let your guard down to. That is another reason to be careful of the people you tell that you are a bitcoin hodler and watch the company you keep.

OP yo didn't give us the value of the bitcoins you lost, but I presume regardless that since you were not paying so much attention to your bitcoins and it took you a while to find out that your coins had gone, if it is not inexperience in the field, then it sends a message that you have another source of income and can bounce back from this temporary setback on your investment. But in the future OP, be more careful.
2558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it possible to control Gambling behaviors? on: June 29, 2022, 10:20:01 PM
In brief, You can deal well with your gambling problems by learning about it, addressing it, controlling what might drive you to gambling, and then getting support.
it is usually more easily said than done, the truth is that in reality it requires a whole lot of discipline, discipline first finding out if it is possible to stop gambling by oneself or if help is required. It is also a problem when you realize that you need help to put your gambling problem in check but feel too reluctant and decide to try to help yourself by yourself, a very dangerous situation you are building up because trying successively to break an addiction or fix a problem without success may make one just accept it as normal and believe that their case is too far to remedy. We should as much as possible maintain sincerity with ourselves.
2559  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Almost all NFTs are scam on: June 29, 2022, 08:57:59 PM
I understand your concerns OP, most persons rushing towards owning NFT's are doing so mostly because they know how most persons where in regret missing out on bitcoin then when it first started, so reason being that NFT's are new, they are flocking in mass to own any piece of NFT they can get their hands on. In this desperation, many have bought many valueless NFT's and in holding now seeing that it as a waste are calling it scams. Almost all, but not all are scams. People will profit from NFT's, people will still profit from crypto...but as a newbie, best advice is to invest and give more attention to crypto than NFT's.

Newbies, NFTs should be the first thing you fear the most in crypto space...
Also especially when you know your research skills are poor.
2560  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DCA? on: June 29, 2022, 08:24:18 PM
What motivates YOU to continue DCAing on a regular basis?
I've made some money from DCAing before, so the thought that I can make some more from that strategy motivates me to seek coins to try that strategy on. DCAing is a good strategy when you are not so sure about a coin and want to reduce the potential risk of loosing all your money if it goes sideways, however you may have some regrets if the value of a coin you are DCAing gets unexpectedly high and you are pained because of the huge profit you missed if you had invested bigger.

Do you ever consider putting a stop to DCA?
I don't see any end to my DCAing, it is a strategy that works for me sometimes, I don't see any reason considering to stop it.
