2541  Economy / Gambling / Re: Use Bitcoin to Play the $1.3 Billion PowerBall Lottery on: January 11, 2016, 06:57:37 PM
I don't think lottery is for other than US citizens. Yes the jackpot number is crazy but if we also win how we get payment if we are outside the US.

From what i know, prize money doesn't gonna be delivered as bitcoin. Grin
So If I am outside USA and win some money that mean it all gonna be wasted? From what I hear you don't have to be US citizen to buy a ticket of PowerBall.
And another question, I didn't know that you can buy digital version of lottery tickets, is there any difference between digital and normal tickets?
2542  Economy / Economics / Re: #panicselling is so 1995 on: January 10, 2016, 10:53:38 PM
I think most people are sensitive for turbulent changes.
When the price goes down like 20% in 1 day they think they have to cover their loss.
Which sometimes is a good decision. Don't forget that.

Those that dont sell when prices moves down 20 % in a day is absolutely a fool because there is no way to recoup your losses back if you dont sell. If you cant do the math, 20 % of current $400 is $80, why would you keep holding if the price goes down suddenly by $80 in one day?

The price might go up $100 in one day. The price is too volatile to predict. The long term price is up.

no it can not, it would kill the mining scene entirely, there is no more real profit around $100 for the miners anymore
I think that Chinese mining farm will still profit with bitcoin price under 100$. Everyone else won't. We are in the era of industrial bitcoin mining anyway.
Huge ASICs farms are the only reliable way of mining nowadays. If you are solo mining you are not doing it for profit but instead it is more of a hobby.
2543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2016 Could Be Bitcoin's Best Year Yet on: January 10, 2016, 10:31:53 PM
There are always amazing predictions about 'next bitcoin year'. It all started by that price spike of 2013, and happen every time ever since.
And year by year we don't had anything more crucial than Mt.Gox fall, bitcoin price breaking $1000 in 2013 and preview of couple good bitcoin projects which haven't even started or fully bloomed yet (Openbaazar).
2544  Economy / Gambling / Re: Domain name for poker site on: January 10, 2016, 09:12:44 PM
If I can choose only from the names provided in the op I would say that they all have pros and cons:

bulletpoker - clear association with poker, if you want to focus only on poker alone then go for it - but this domain is good only for poker.

betsby - I like this name idea very much, but this name would require a bit of promotion to be recognized, but when brand optimization will be done I think it is the best name for a gambling site overall.

2545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Getting a living from Gmabling alone is possible? on: January 10, 2016, 09:02:11 PM
If you mean online gambling then no but you can actually live off it if you actually go to a casino
You know that it is actually more profitable for gamblers to play online due to lower House Edges of some online casinos?
There are some Dice sites offering 0.1-0.17 House Edge on Dice, occasionally you can catch a promotion and play for a short time with 0% HE.
2546  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. Rated # 1 by Bitcointalk Members ! on: January 09, 2016, 08:21:48 PM
Is there a plan to introduce esport section on DirectBet in the future? Seeing as this is rising trend right now I would not hurt to think about it.
I am asking because I wanted to bet on esport event recently and I couldn't find service anywhere where I can bet bitcoin on it...

2548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How legal is to create betting/gambling site? on: January 09, 2016, 06:45:43 PM
I think yes you would need for a license, it is interesting so that you can more quickly become rich gambling boss Smiley
For big business you need license, that is true. But you can buy your license in Curacao without hassle and theoretically you can operate with it worldwide.
You can offer your services via internet even if other countries have different laws and requirements for their casino licenses.
2549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it profitable to invest in betting sites? on: January 09, 2016, 06:08:01 PM
The best is to create gambling investment yourself. Create Casino, Dice or some good gambling site that will bring you ROI. Other that than I am skeptical in investing in bankroll of some casinos.
I would rather arbitrage trade bitcoin or altcoin than invest in random casino. I don't like to mix entertainment and work as I only gamble my money away in standard way - by being patron of some good casino.
2550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How legal is to create betting/gambling site? on: January 09, 2016, 05:57:20 PM

Every gambling sites needs license to operate safely but most gambling sites operator has been hiding in shadows with vpn and hide their identity so no one really knows if they are operating a gambling site. Another addition, having license doesnt mean that the site is honest and will honor all withdrawal, so it doesnt really important imo

I'm not sure how can you do that. I mean you can hide using software like VPN but you host your site in some hosting service. So it's kinda easy to find an owner or just shut down the site.
Yes I get that license doesn't mean honesty. I'm just curios about what can happen if I run site without any license.
If you look closely most gambling casinos have license from some so called tax havens. Popular licenses in gambling world are from Curacao or Puerto Rico.
There is really hard to pursue online services based in different country as there is no codified international laws created to supervise online gambling.
2551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: from 10 EUR to 1280 EUR on 7 bets on: January 08, 2016, 06:42:57 PM
So it seems that everytime Op lost a bet in a series he abandon it and create another series of bets, and so on and so on?
Maybe instead of doing it that way, finishing 7 bets in a row would be more beneficial, it doesn't have to ideal series after all, it proves nothing as loses are to be expected.
2552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing a martingale is easier than you think on: January 08, 2016, 05:55:39 PM
Martingale can work, it really depends on luck and your bankroll. While what you say is true, the 8 loosing streak can come very fast but to make profit you need to survive longer than 8 losses. I believe there was a player on BitDice some time ago who played martingale on something like 48.5% or something like that. He played for months and won over 100 BTC in the end, i think close to 200.
We all know someone who played and won some insane money. The question is: is martingale really that helpful in reaching this goal? And my answer is: not really.
It is as you said yourself - if it depends on luck and bankroll then how much of it is real strategy left?
2553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing a martingale is easier than you think on: January 08, 2016, 05:43:44 PM
I always said that: don't rely on martingale as full proof strategy to carry you every game.
It was proven long time ago and and since then many times , that martingale (in any variation, really) is only viable with infinite bank roll which is impossible to achieve.
You can have some luck with it in short session, but then you can be lucky without it too.
2554  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: January 08, 2016, 05:00:07 PM
Minimum bet has nothing to do with the delays. Maybe your connection. I haven't experienced that kind of delays as far as I began playing in that site months ago until today.

Quit saying nonsense because stunna himself has said that there is some delay if you are betting dust amount, it is a hard work to process alot of dist bet each days so delaying those small bets is the best way for them to handle all the database
So here you are basically saying that Stunna is wrong and there is no delay on bets because your experience tells you so? Have  your tried other Dice sites and compared their autobet speed to PrimeDice?
Test sites like FastDice or  COINICHIWA to experience real fast dice roll everytime, or play high bets on PrimeDice.
2555  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dice Stats - Playing on Better Bets off Moneypot on: January 08, 2016, 04:26:14 PM
Here we go again discussing 'Dice strategy'. And so far no one said anything convincing or even remotely close to being a valid strategy so I guess some of you have better luck.
And until you can pull like 100.000 rolls and be on the winning side after that it means little.
2556  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Need bitcoin game beta testers on: January 07, 2016, 07:17:54 PM
Hello, i created universal windows mini game with bitcoins, need some people who will play this game and try to search bugs,i will pay for every bug you found with bitcoins.
write in pm please.
Why not make the game public for now and see general feedback of people? Treat it like Early Access game - people could post found bugs openly here, some people would do that even for free.
It will be a win-win situation for you as you could hear feedback and clear you game from bugs at the same time.
2557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a market for "fresh" coins? on: January 07, 2016, 06:22:03 PM
Aren't you guys concerned that in the future there won't be really 'fresh' coins anymore and every coin will be tainted more or less?
Situation with bitcoin will the be same as with US banknotes eventually - where more than 90% of total banknotes had contact with a cocaine.
2558  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin risky? It actually feels very, very safe to own Bitcoin right now :) on: January 07, 2016, 04:31:58 PM
Couple Reddit threads being overly optimistic about stagnant price of bitcoin is not gonna change that bitcoin could be extremely volatile at times.
But it is true that people (me included) are surprised that bitcoin value is quite stable (last year a year before we always had bitcoin price crash in January).
2559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ugliest gambling site? on: January 07, 2016, 04:14:13 PM
Ugliest by design FairLay.com without any doubt. Color scheme is a pain for my eyes.  BUT they are offering best odds. So still my favorite place for sport betting.
No, this design of FairLay.com is not even close to the worst I've seen among bitcoin gambling sites. Layout is cluttered and that is their man problem.
I recently came across some very ugly bitcoin slot machine, but unfortunately I looked at it and close the site almost immediately (I will try to find link in history later, tho).
It was designed like games from Windows 95, that was undoubtedly the worst looking thing I ever seen in bitcoin gambling.
2560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best BTC casinos? on: January 07, 2016, 04:02:11 PM
I don't play anything but dice usually, but when I do use a casino, I use betcoin.tm.

I don't like does like betcoin.ag because they're using a pre-made template Tongue I guess some of you didn't know that

Betcoin also has great service!

Some other casinos besides betcoin.tm:
- Fortunejack
- Crypto-games.net
- Betcoin.ag
I like you post, first you say that you don't like betcoin.ag because they are using premade template (I really don't know what that is and it will be nice if someone could explain it to me).
And in your list of good casinos beside betcoin.tm you include betcon.ag despite earlier clam that you don't like them... Why?
