2542  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Limit on domiciliary account removed, Naira cards restriction should be the next on: June 19, 2023, 07:13:21 PM
Using USD to save money is different from using cryptocurrency. They are of different categories. I have not used dollar in any day so I don't know how good is dollar in savings. If ban has been lifted up then it is plus to the users. But I will still not advise anyone to save in USD. One of my brother told me last year that saving in USD is the best because it is stable in nature and bitcoin is not stable so I might loss my funds in bitcoin so he was advising me to save in dollar but I told that I like bitcoin more than dollar.
According to news this present president in Nigeria might devalue dollar in the country. So those who are saving in USD should be careful.

Haven’t you been accepted only yesterday in Royse’s campaign?
That should be his own decision to make. He has to participate in the campaign that is convenience for him. So you don't have to tell which campaign to participate. If he was chosen today  and he sees another campaign which he likes then he has the choice to make. But normally it is not good to jump campaign in one day or two. That is for personal decision as well.

I didn't see any open spots statement from the op/manager and here you are dropping an application. Was it that you were specially invited? If you are interested to join you have to wait for the open spot to open but if you specifically invited then there is no problem but if not always read the last statement of the managers of the campaigns before dropping application, if not you might enter their ignore list.
2545  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, suspended!! on: June 18, 2023, 07:25:11 PM

Na dem be di anoda wahala wey dey get for dis country. See how do dude suffer so whole country pipo. Im no tried for im tenure in di office. Im for use dat office help di Nigerians even more than di ruling class. And like dis now, im go suffer for Tinubu hand oo.
2546  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: the impact of the border reopening and the unified exchange rate on the naira on: June 18, 2023, 07:15:07 PM

...the government is taking steps to help revitalize the economy and also taking steps to strengthen the naira against the United States dollar which is the major exchange currency in the international stock market.

Yet the government devalue di naira to do dollar what an irony to start up an administration. Now dat e dey hot na di best time to raise di naira against di dollar and after now  im Bula Tinubu e no go fit do am again.

Major breakthrough by the new government:

1: one of the significant moves this government made was the president's inaugural speech where he declared that fuel subsidy is gone since then we have seen the impact of that speech on the petroleum product PMs pump price, but with its long-term gain on the economy as the government now gives licenses to independent markets and private individuals to import petroleum and sell at market price, that means more competition that will eventually lead to price case.
Did di president really think we'll before embarking on the policy. Because any leader who inflict pain to im citizens a bad leader. U don't just remove fuel subsidy without alternative plan to do pipo. Now fuel dat was sold 97 naira in Goodluck tenure was sold in 197 naira in Buhari tenure now Tinubu who never even spend one month in office don increase am to 550 naira to 800 in some places. Is that a good plan?  Now where are alternative ways to cube di mata?

2: border reopening,  this have been a speculation around the social media that the president have have reopened the Nigerian border which has been closed by the past administration all throughout the 8 years tenure, and this will open up the Nigerian economy to the international marketplace where. Exchange of goods and services will take place.
Nobody should deceive me in this Nigeria any more. Which boarders are we talking about. Buhari closed all the Western Eastern and Southern Boarders and Open all the Northern Boarders. Now Tinubu has come again, Open all the BOARDERS AT THE WESTERN PART and the Eastern and Southern Boarders are still in tight close yet the ignorant youths in these places are happy that Tinubu has open boarders. Port Harcourt and Bayelsa Boarders are in tight close. From my distance look at things, even the present present is not for good for the East and South but for the West and North. If im mean work let im open all the BOARDERS in Nigeria.

What impact does all of this have on the value of the naira against the dollars?
My analysis of the term:
The naira has been devalued furthermore by the Central Bank of Nigeria from the official price of ₦‎464 to $1 to around ₦‎645 as a unified exchange price according to the new government, well we all know that the dollar's official price has always been under subsidy too, since at the black market all of us who are into cryptocurrency already used to the black market price of ₦‎700+ for the past one year or also so we are more enlightened that other members of the public on how much the government pay as dollars subsidy just to keep the exchange rate at that so-called official price of ₦‎464.

So at this point what can we make out of this situation and at the same time what are the advantage that awaits traders most especially cryptocurrency traders and those that exchange their USTD, Bitcoin and other digital assets into the Nigeria naira in this period?

Do you think the unified exchange rate will stabilize the naira value?

I have said this in the first sentence. And add to it. I'd dollar dey rise cryptocurrency traders and investors go make money from dollar but go still loss when dem go change it to Naira. And the only benefit you go get as a cryptocurrency holder, it is only when the naira go against di dollar very well because at that you can use small money buy plenty things.
2547  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does ranking not guarantee post quality? on: June 17, 2023, 09:07:03 PM
that many high ranking members have low quality posts? talk nonsense and have no clear arguments. Is my statement correct?
Guy this your thread is harsh. In life there must be a mistake for the person to make some corrections. And among the nonsense you are talking about there sense in some of the threads they have created. And when we talk about quality and shit post are from the way everyone understands the poor or the content. What you see as nonsense might be a very good point for another user.
2548  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies Stop Teaching When You Need To Learn. on: June 17, 2023, 08:56:25 PM
Op you are right but there some newbies that in the forum are not newbies in knowledge about bitcoin of any other Cryptocurrencies. They are just new in the forum but not in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Some people them are much more better than even some of the top rank Members here.

And if the forum rules limited them to teach then they have to obey the rules but if it is not then I don't see any reason of stopping them if they can deliver the knowledge very well. Because in knowledge, nobody is perfect.
2549  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is your government finally succeeding in imposing the CBDC? on: June 17, 2023, 08:37:13 PM
Hello,

We read a lot about Nigeria, BTC and CBDC.
I'd like to know if it's true that BTc is banned in Nigeria? If so, what can happen to you if you use BTC?

Is e-naira catching on?

I'd love to get some info "from the source" (I also read a lot of your posts).

Thank you
You are welcome to the naija local board. The highest Cryptocurrencies enthusiast in the whole Africa continent. Add it to what my colleague has said, 9ja government didn't ban BTC but stopped Commencial Banks to stop participating in any Cryptocurrency transaction and the banks obeyed the policy. So the bitcoinners use the p2p plus exchanges to carry out their transactions.

The E-naira that the government created for it citizens to use is redundant. In fact in my locality I have not see one person use the E-naira for any transaction or even mention it, I Have not heard. The E-naira is not working in the country.

Very interesting. And what P2P platforms are you using in Nigeria ?

How will the government tax non-kyc cryptos?

Yes very well. Personally, I have used the p2p to buy and sell, it is just a regular thing for me. Well the government tax base on the territorial operation. If you are operating within the ampit ot the geographical  area of Nigeria them they will tax to avoid illogical activities allegations.
2550  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Promoting Meaningful Engagement in the Local Board on: June 17, 2023, 08:22:59 PM

(meaning the general idea SOME older members have is that all newbies are just solely bent on the merits) which is MOST likely true with the kind and quality of posts and engagements the newbies make on the forum (meaning it’s almost true but not completely true of all newbies)”.
And if you feel the purpose of my post is to beg for merit, then that’s your personal opinion sir and it is welcomed.
Thank you Boss.
And that is what I am saying, the thoughts of the so called Older members are right about you content. And the newbies will my deny it as well as you. This is a good thread which I have given merits but I am out it. And also as far as I know in this local board, it is very hard for us to see a newbie creating a quality thread, they are just few and those few that have created quality threads, we gave them merits for hard work. All the rest are...
2551  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Government Can't Fund Universities Anymore ----- FG Declares on: June 17, 2023, 08:13:01 PM

That is when the universities will have ill-staff, ill-equipt  and ill-mannered/management. Any way the government will use to support the students can't solve any problem with university management will give to them. My guy dis thing you see, various states have practiced it and we have seen the effect clearly. Now as it is, the withdrawal level of students from various schools are very high compared to the precious adminstrations. But if Tinubu used another means to support nthe students very well that they will not feel the impact of the heavy load that will giving to them to carry. Then it is ok. But I still doubt it. Because Tinubu can s trying to cut cost to pay the international loan from the previous adminstration.
2552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New question for experts on: June 16, 2023, 07:32:30 PM
Hello everyone, I have a new question,
In your opinion, is it worth attending blockchain events?
Blockchain events? Op please tell us more. But if you are talking about cryptocurrency seminars then I will yes. It is good to attend blockchain/cryptocurrency seminars because there will learn new things and add it to the ones you have known. And anything that confused. You in the seminar can be presented here for more elaboration. So even though your are a newbie but having the interest to attend then you are free. Blockchain knowledge is gotten from different places. And that is why there is formal and informal education to learn things from different people.

It’s really concerning that BAT is introducing new bills and changes so fast. It makes me wonder if he really thinks about these decisions before introducing and concluding on them. I hope there’s a long term plan towards all of these that will in turn have a positive impact on the our country at large. I really hope that our sufferings will be worth it in the end.

I can't confirm the news yet, but if it's true, the ASUU strike will be over because universities will be handling most of the internal funding rather than waiting for the government. Nigerians have been enjoying subsidised education for a long time now, but if it's removed, student loans will help and the issues of long strikes will be gone. it a good move
Well let it be that it is a fake news because that news is not a favourable news to many Nigerian homes. Some people plant cassava to train their children and some of them na fishing, whole some nai gin so all those category of people will be affected because the VCs will definitely increase the school fees to meet up the expenses of the school. This is a very bad news ever and for decays and centuries as a country.
2554  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Government Can't Fund Universities Anymore ----- FG Declares on: June 16, 2023, 07:08:15 PM
If government no go fit fund varsities then the government indirectly against education. How can a president of a country come out and tell the well educated citizens say im no go fund varsities, im time dem no fund am. If no fund am then na who go fund am. The students? Nai make im dey give the students loan? Dis president is missing something here in the country. He should calm down and plan well to carry out action. Education control all the other parts of the country so anything that happen to education affect other institutions.

Me di way I dey see am Tinubu is trying to make things harder than the previous president. Free education has been on ground since the creation of the country even before the independent. The Eastern Region, Western Region And Northern Region all were having Free education. It was only the Northern Region that against free education but later they also support the motion. So I don't know why a Western Region man who love education to the core is against free education at this point which Nigerian youth need free education at top.
Awolowo was the initiator of the free education from the Western  world as a comparative education at that time. Then Azic also loved the idea and used it. Tinubu is planning to suffer the poor parents in Nigeria.

Toruorua University and Medical University are all in Bayelsa were issuing scholarships to students and the scholarship end only two years. After the two years most of the students could not pay the school fees again do they have to dropped out. And this is going to happen in the whole country. He should think well and reverse that policy because it will affect 95% of the students in Nation Wide.
2555  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: From the news across the market do you still advise to buy now? on: June 16, 2023, 06:59:24 PM
We all had heard of the sudden lawsuit against Binance exchange and its CEO Changpeng Zhao which has caused so much threat to the bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large.
So much threat as how? Op do you really understand what is bitcoin? Ok let me give small break down of bitcoin. Bitcoin an internet currency which can be used to buy and sell things only online not offline. But the goods and services can be physical but the payment is online. Now what is Binance? Binance is an internet commercial Bank where one can store his bitcoin and any other Cryptocurrencies. And they are own by different people. So the downfall of Binance does not affect bitcoin.

Do you strongly believe that this is the good time acquire some useful currencies?
Like buying Bitcoin, ETH BNB and many more.
I am having a plan to buy some valuable asset and store in my wallet since i believe after few week or month we might get back to $27k.

Wetin una think so that i no go waste my money at this point go buy bitcoin wey market come dey show me sheggea.
Yes it is also a good time to buy, if the price is okay for the buyer then there is no alarm. And also binance has nothing to do with bitcoin. The only effect that bitcoin might encountered with the issue of Binance is that, the whales will pull out from the exchange and it might affect the price of bitcoin.

Good day everyone.
It’s sad that the idea SOME older members have of the newbies is that we just want to gather merits quickly which is most likely true with the kind and quality of posts and engagements most of the newbies make on the forum.
Ogami you dey complicate yourself. You said the thought of the older members about the newbies is a sad idea and this the same sad idea became true again den dat means thought of the older members are perfect. And if dat is your ambition in di forum den all is for you. If I even understand u well, at the last part of your thread is a paraphrasing of merit begging. And that is bad as well. I don't what brought you here but most of us are here to know more about bitcoin and altcoins so we can teach others to expand the Cryptocurrencies world.
Merits which you are saying will come through your knowledge on the base topic. So you have to develop yourself on Crypto related activities.
2557  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake support? on: June 16, 2023, 05:47:47 PM

What's your belief on these? Are they trying to beat the US to it? Because right now the US is playing dumb with crypto and china sees a better opportunity in crypto, what do you think?how will this end?
China was one of the pioneer awareness countries of bitcoin in the world. And not that China was interested in bitcoin but they were carefully observing the whole system. China will pass USA on the uses of bitcoin. They are still warming up to take the full speed of the whole system. Because US is still prosecuting the user of cryptocurrency. And the way I look at it, they are trying to control every user of cryptocurrencies and that is not possible. And that is why their SEC is always hunting down Exchanges and other users.

Dat war dey really spoil things do world. But be like saw na Africa nai dey suffer pass. Because many things wey we dey carry go give dem to buy e no dey possible again and those things sef dey make things dey high in we country.

I don't think Russia go hear this six African nations wey go for the peace tok oo but Ukrain go listen to the peace tok if really they are going there for the real peace.
2559  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Binance changes terms of service on: June 15, 2023, 07:43:31 PM
Thank you for bringing this gud egberi for here. And as u tok am to read terms and conditions e no dey easy at all. Because those their conditions eh! Na die bi dat.
If dem relish a coin and convert am to another with the owner's consent is also better because dey have the right to remove the coin and na u go still loss. But as e bi like this u no loss at las u go cash am out from another coin.na good thing be that.
