2541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Arrgh! Libra here and There on: August 21, 2019, 06:34:57 PM
I guess Facebook is preparing for something new which is completely new from their current business and they know that they are very popular which is probably why they also wants to take advantage of their influence to enter the crypto market and make things happen, little did they know also that as much as they have friends that are laughing with them is same as much as they have enemies that would tend to kill their product before its arrival.

I don’t expect that people could just assume from their mind that this is what the product will cause and then interpret it to the real life when they have not even seen the effect of the coin. Everything we do has been based on assumption, and I fell that people would have just waited for the coin to be released before throwing stone  at it if they find it not worthy.
2542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't doubt the power of Staking coins on: August 21, 2019, 03:57:38 PM
Staking coins are great for funding actually, think about some sort of coin offering that could be done via some staking coin? The team that gets the funding would be capable of holding the coin and mining more of it via staking and they would be making more money.

So, the investors are paying them lets say 100 million via some stake coin and the team gets that 100 million and starts staking right away and they are basically printing money to build the coin into something better, they got paid 100 million but made much more that so they can keep giving back to community. That has always been in my mind but I don't know if it can be done, some sort of ICO or whatever done via staking coin should be really number one priority to test and see how it works.
2543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good news! Binance App Back on Apple Store on: August 21, 2019, 03:24:46 PM
Well!! Binance iOs app is back on the apple store after a month-long review. CEO CZ Zhao announced on 19th august via twitter.
I have always believed in Binance, and Binance will always be the king of these altcoins and exchanges even if they have tried killing it several times, I just love their CEO, he is someone who never gives up without a fight, and people like that are always on top of the world and this is how they will continue to rule the crypto space along with other great cons also, it was a good thing that I made a decision to join the Binance community on time, and I am sure that the future of Binance is so bright that its name will be mentioned everywhere in worlds top news.

People should watch out, Binance still has a lot of projects that will be released which will make their coin value not continue building and I am sure that Binance coin has the tendency of becoming about $1000.
2544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If Satoshi Actually Lost His Private Keys on: August 21, 2019, 06:44:46 AM
What story are you talking of mate? Was their ever a story claiming that satoshi lost his key? I don’t think he did lose those keys for good and the key is safe with him, what satoshi is just waiting for is that moment where bitcoin will be very expensive and once that happens, that might make him the richest man in earth and also the most influential man.

If satoshi even lost his key, he wrote the system and I am sure that he would know how to boycott it and ten gain access to his account, only satoshi can do what most of us cannot do, and I am sure that if satoshi is to gain access to anyone’s account today, he will surely be able to do so, talk more of his own personal account, which I total disagree with anyone including him if claim that the private key is lost.
2545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Terrorists Turn to Bitcoin for Funding, and They’re Learning Fast (NYT article) on: August 21, 2019, 04:34:32 AM
I don’t find this new as an issue at all, first, it will boost the income of that market cap, the more they demand for bitcoin, the more the price of bitcoin increase to favor us, but I would not be happy at that, because it would be at the death of another person, we all know what terrorist organization stands for, if they are being funded easily, they will unleash lots of terror on people and take lots of lives even if it will affect our won investment.

If this news is true, it will only hasten up the government to put regulation in place, at least with regulation, it will still be difficult for them to use because if KYC, before they can move money in and out of the market at large quantity, at least they will do KYC and with KYC, government will be able to trace them easily.
2546  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie - when to take profit on: August 21, 2019, 03:51:43 AM
Trading is not for a newbie , they should have taken their time to understand everything about cryptocurrencies and how the trading is being done, instead of jump straight into it and losing their money. When I was a newbie I never took interest in daily trading because based on the experience I have had with binary trading and forex, I knew that this one isn’t going to be anything different.

Even till now I hardly trade when I’m alone. I prefer to trade when I’m together with my friends , cause they are the experts in this . I just follow their trade and whatever option they put just do the same thing. It’s not an easy thing, that’s why I don’t stress myself to trade when I’m alone, cause several times I have tried , it’s mainly loss, but I was saved by the Stop-Loss ( thanks to whoever that introduced that Wink).

Even as a newbie I was only doing HODL and that’s how I was able to make all the money I have made in Bitcoin (Bitcoin is what I trade mainly, started with ETH just recently). I invest my money and I have patience for long time to see what will be the outcome. That way I was able to make lots of profits uncountable times , more profits, more than what I have ever invested in this crypto market.

So, newbies should only focus on long term and not rushing into daily trade because of quick money. If you rush it , you end up losing.
2547  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have 2000$ USD. Where you invest? on: August 21, 2019, 03:09:12 AM
It seems to me that now an investment in IPO is a profitable option with minimal risk to be scam and a good enough opportunity to get a profit from investments
IPO? Do people still pay attention Initial Public Offering, I thought that means of crowd funding was already dead since ICO came to chase it away  from the heart of every single investors, except maybe they are just gradually taking advantage of the challenge of ICO now to make it popular again, but I doubt if people would still pay attention to it after testing what ICO profit is because IPO profit is just like STO, they are all fixed and I think the highest profit they can give in a year is 5 percent which some banks even give more than just leaving your money with them for that long.

I think that IEO is what people are considering more now and not IPO and IPO system does not work in line with cryptocurrency, and this is crypto that we are talking about here, so I don’t see they fit in.
2548  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Crypto trading bot beat human intelligence? on: August 20, 2019, 07:55:46 PM
The question should be who created these bots ? – humans right? So, if humans are the ones that created these bots, don’t you think that humans will be able to do better than the bots they created? I do know that bots are automated and they carry out trades based on the orders they were given, but does that make them any perfect than when the trade is being carried out by humans?

I have seen trade bots work before and they are still relying on the same luck that we humans are relying on🧐 yup I have seen a lot of them bots and they are not even worth the hype. Cryptocurrencies are near unpredictable, so you can’t even predict them as a human not to talk if ordinary bots lol.

I once saw someone do the test with several bots and most times were nothing, then loss and profit at times. At the end you don’t get much profit or it’s still loss. So it’s not even worth the hype that people gives it. It’s still your choice if you feel like you want to make use of bots, at least they will free you of the stress of trading by yourself and doing the math. But don’t think they are going to make you some huge money overnight , like some people would make it seem.
2549  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you fund ICOs ? on: August 20, 2019, 07:25:25 PM
I invested in 1 ICO back in 2017, and it was failed one , that thought me a lesson.Fortunately i only lost 100 USD.
If you invested in the last quarter and decided to hold, then that's a guaranteed loss at that time the market is in bull run and therefore the price has reach its peak, sometimes because we trust the long term potential of the project, we failed to sell it with timing even at times that we can already make a profit on it. If you your coin now is trading in big exchanges and has a great volume, I suggest that you still keep monitoring your coin, it's just down now but who knows it will recover in the future.
Majority of us really use to think that it is best to hold these altcoins for a long term before we realized that most of these altcoins are actually best to be held for a short period of time, because most of the investors in those projects has committed big money and they will move it out as soon as they see any profit in it. So, altcoins will always rise and fall many times and may not continue to grow as we want it.

The best for altcoins is to buy when they are low, and then sell when they are high, the we buy back again when they are low for many possible turnover, that will only be valid with projects that are with real working product though, because we have some projects that once they dump, they will not rise gain till maybe God knows when.
2550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The secret of gambling? on: August 20, 2019, 12:55:25 PM
Maybe if you can crack the codes of modern gambling especially on crypto/blockchain games you'll find the secret of it, I doubt if any human can do that. There might be ways and that's the bigger your risk for every bet the greater the rewards or lose you'll be getting. If you want to have more wins than losing quit when you know you're losing after a winning streak. Just be wise while gambling and that gives you more winning over losing just let roll the money you can afford to lose.
It is very impossible, I mean totally impossible because I believe the site owners will not be sleeping or folding their arms to allow anyone hack into their system. Anyone that tries to carry out this type of mission is on a great risk but then, if it’s successful, it will be great but then I think the energy we focus on looking for strategies is enough to put into the games and win occasionally like we always do.

I have learnt to cancel the thoughts of having secret and even strategies out of my mind and play games for fun. Frankly, gambling is interesting, with or without wins, so it will be very nice if we sometimes take out our attention from winning secrets and looking deeply into the entertainment aspect.
2551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: August 20, 2019, 08:37:46 AM
Those professional gamblers are just like those of us that work in different firms. I have one as a friend and I always wonder his passion for gambling. He goes as far as paying to learn new skills and always focused when playing. Not everyone can be a professional player, those who are called so, deserve all the accolades they get, because they sacrifice a lot to become who they are and what they achieve in gambling.

I am just cool by being a neutral player. I enjoy my game for fun and I make profit sometimes and it’s interesting. I would have probably learnt to be a PRO if I didn’t have a job of my own, because some of the friends I have who are professional gamblers are not working in any organization, they take gambling strictly as their place of work.
I am just wondering what you mean by them sacrificing. It is safe to say you are one of the supports of gambling a s a profession and that’s not really a good thing. Gambling is a game for entertainment and I believe that’s the kind of player you are. How then can you admire someone who is doing something wrong and against gambling policy because I believe gambling as a profession is not recognized in gambling.

If the efforts professional gamblers put into the game was invested into something better, they would definitely be better citizens of their different countries but then, they decided to waste the effort on something that is not profitable.
2552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guys started to gambling with cryptos or fiat money? on: August 20, 2019, 08:00:45 AM
I started gambling with fiat money. I remembered that in the past, sometimes I bet with my friend when the World Cup comes. We choose which team who can pass in big sixteen, big four, and then which team who can be at the final. Besides the World Cup, we are a gamble on F1 and MotoGP too because that sport was excited to us, and sometimes we watch together.

But after I knew crypto, I don't too often to gamble with my friends because I have another option for playing gambling and I don't have to use my fiat money to bet. My friends follow what I did too, but yes, I missed that moment. Now, we only gather in the cafe without placing bets, but if we want to place the bets, I will ask my other friend to do that for me.
I am very sure that every single gambler that we have here all started with fiat initially until cryptocurrency probably got introduced to gambling industry also. I remember the time in gambling that we could only gamble with fiat, it was really difficult for so many of us, especially considering the cost, it was kind of expensive but crypto has really made things much more easier for most of us and I doubt if there are still players using fiat that much in gambling because everyone now gambles with crypto, doge coin being the most affordable gambling coin is the favorite of most players now

If there are users of fiat for gambling, it would be common with offline casinos, that would be more convenient for them.
2553  Economy / Economics / Re: Hong Kong Activist Leader Calls For A Run On Chinese Banks Tomorrow (Friday) on: August 20, 2019, 07:27:36 AM
Crypto will cover most of the "savings" assets but not the everyday spending one, how are these people gonna go to a cafe and buy food and have a dinner what not with cyrpto, you need a crypto debit card which is a big hassle to handle to make sure you are fine wherever you go.

Even if banks do not close but you just personally decide not to use banks there is no way you can actually live a fully cash life because some people doesn't earn that much and spend credit cards instead of some people want to buy a car or a house and use banks for it. Basically, banks cover a lot of our lives people do not realize, you think going full crypto is easy but I have been trying that for 3 years and haven't managed to do it at all, its a lot harder than people think it is.
2554  Economy / Economics / Re: How would loans work in a Bitcoin economy on: August 20, 2019, 03:41:33 AM
I can totally imagine they'll go from Bitcoin to Bitcoin-backed-banknotes to fractional-reserve-Bitcoin. Or more likely: they skip the Bitcoin-backed-banknotes and go straight to fractional-reserve-Bitcoin.
And I can totally imagine people will actually use it. People are used to their trusted bank that takes care of everything, and an account protected by a large corporation is much better than keeping your own wallet, right? Right? Cheesy
Add some legislation that convinces the general population that direct Bitcoin transactions are only used by criminals, and Bitcoin transactions on BigBitcoinBank are the only trusted transactions, and we're stuck with banks for another century Sad
I do see different scenario from you.

People now are having more awareness than our ancestors. They do cross-check everything that they come across. They may stop using their traditionally trusted banks when they start realizing "how worst bubble their fiat is", those cyclic recessions will tech them big lessons.

But, I am sure governments and central banks will mislead people like bitcoins are meant for something illegal. At the same time most people will not listen to them (as they are having enough statistics and other resources to conclude the actual truth). This way, I am sure we may not need to stuck with traditional way of banking for another hundred years.

This does not mean cryptos will straight forwardly going to replace traditional banks. But, banks may adopt bitcoins to ensure fulfilling common people's expectations. This way bitcoin banking and traditional banking may co-exist and this may turn into ONLY bitcoin based on banking only after centuries when governments are dealing against/with aliens by realizing the importance of NOT having borders for their countries.
2555  Economy / Economics / Re: What are the benefits of bitcoin to my country (Nigeria) economy?. on: August 19, 2019, 07:05:37 PM
Cryptocurrency do have some benefits, and the main thing is the easy transaction – it makes transaction cheap, fast and easy by eliminating the middleman which can be banks etc. As long as the two parties involved in the transactions knows each other then there is nothing for them to worry about. So, mainly what it’s about is transaction – making transfer fees to be cheap, compared to what you will be paying for bank transfers, writing checks and the rest of them, Bitcoin is very cheap cheap compared to all that.

It also creates easier international trade and another thing is that it gives you individual ownership, you don’t need the bank to be doing everything for you, you now do everything without the help of banks or any financial institutions. Lastly, Security is another good side of cryptocurrency, they are very secured, though some people will argue about this that banks are more safe, but cryptos are the best in security.

When a Nigerian needs all these benefits then he needs to adopt bitcoins and this way bitcoin can help any country. Because, only the individuals build a nation and its economy. When bitcoin is useful at the most least element then why not at a whole level?
2556  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin volatility here to stay? on: August 19, 2019, 05:26:08 PM
My question is – how did the volatility affect you? Did you make profit or you made loss? What’s your reason for saying that you don’t like the volatility ? If you just hate the volatility for no reasons then you don’t even know what you’re saying .before you started investing your money in Bitcoin didn’t you know that Bitcoin is volatile? Or didn’t anyone tell you that? I don’t even think you’re a newbie, though your accounts States so ,but whether newbie or not you’re already aware of that and shouldn’t v complaining.

Maybe you’re saying this because you lost money ,’cause I’m very sure that if the volatility worked in your favor and you made hundreds of thousand dollars you wouldn’t be here saying that you hate volatility. You only hate volatility because you lost. Crypto investment is not meant for everyone ,if it’s not working out for you then you should quit and look for something else to do. It must not be in favor of you, that is why you’re being told that there are risks involved in trading crypto. You better quit if you can’t take the risk instead of complaining .
2557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What your family thinks about that you into crypto on: August 19, 2019, 01:54:47 PM
Actually my family not give any bad reaction about crypto but one two friends already leave the crypto life because lossing money for the investment.
Introducing my brother was a good think about crypto then my small success which here own knowledge and skills.

Losing money to investment can really be so painful to anyone that it has affected, the level of pain depends on how much was committed, and the financial status of the said investor at that time, but I would still put some blames on your friends because they did not understand the crytpomarket very well before they started investing.

I am sure by now, anyone that wants to invest in any crypto will ensure they do their proper research and then also out their money in safe coins like bitcoin, Ethereum, and these top coins, imagine they had invested in some of these coins, do you think they will still not have their money intact by now even if there is a drop in value, but they probably listen to all those new projects that offers them what is too good to be true.
2558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need a movie about Bitcoin on: August 19, 2019, 12:08:09 PM
This is the part of the unseriousness of altcoins that I have seen, If I am to judge by the number of campaigns I have done coming from entertainment industries, by now, we should have so many movies flooding the market about cryptocurrency, when I do my research about some projects that has to do with entertainment especially in the movie industry, I see a big prospect in them, but they end up not following up with it and then scamming people.

We have some very few movies though, that has been acted based on cryptocurrency, but they are still very few and like you said, we needs movies that are more of quality and would be able to be bought by companies like Netflix and some other great movie companies that we have in the world.
2559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what is the prediction of ethereum as of now? on: August 19, 2019, 09:57:40 AM
Today the price of Ethereum is $ 184.  If this price increases 100% in the next month, the value will be $ 368.  And that will be easy if many investors are investing in Ethereum in the next month.
Seems like investors and traders are coming out on ethereum ,  if the price continues to decrease hard ethereum will be having a hard time to recover, it could even drop to 50$.
Ethereum price is not growing, so people will surely pulled their money put temporarily into the market of bitcoin being the only coin dominating and increasing in value presently, so there is nothing to worry about, people will still return their money back to Ethereum on or before the altcoins season starts.

The only challenge that I am seeing with Ethereum is just the challenge with ICO, Ico crowd funding is no longer booming as it used to be because investor are not quite impressed about the system again because of those who are defrauding them through it, but I need Ethereum to just think out of the box and have something that investors can rely on like IEO rather than just watching and seeing these bad fraudsters just bring shame to their name.
2560  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fundamental or technical, which one you do used? on: August 19, 2019, 09:17:49 AM
I am both fundamental for my long term trading and technical analysis in my short term trades. But most of the time I am relying on my technical analysis since I mostly do short trades. The trading success depends on how do you use that fundamental or technical in a proper way. Some may read and analyse that strategies in a different way that may lead their tradings a mess.
It's very important to have a good guidelines when working with your technical analysis knowing that shorting with volatile market is really a risky strategy, you have to know the right factors that affects the market movements while working with your analysis as mistakes with anticipating the market can ruined everything, though it's still better to have patterns to follow but most of the time traders have it's different approaches they are just picking working one to achieved their goals.
I have always thought that because of the volatility of market, fundamental analysis would be best in pace of technical analysis, but I never knew I was just saying so because I lack the knowledge to make use of technical analysis, until I was fully exposed to it, and actually using technical analysis is not much of a difficult thing, we just need someone great who is more knowledgeable to take us through it, then we will see that we cannot predict the market without having to use but the fundamental and technical analysis.

Technical analysis is very great and effective for both the long term and short term prediction, but it really require enough learning first if people want to really be able to make use of it, especially for traders who buys and sells often from the market.
