2541  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can We Consider This Casino An Industry Giant In Marketing Here In Bitcointalk on: November 30, 2022, 12:57:33 PM

All casinos are trying to keep thier campaign running in bitcointalk even the scam 1xbit despite the despise on them. Duelbit can keep running the marketing for as long as they could but the competitors like Stake and Sportsbet are also running it forever.

Bitcointalk is just one of the busiest forums not just for Bitcoin users but for gamblers. I think Rollbit is also racing this track. As long as the forum allows advertising, a lot of users are going to keep wearing the signatures.
2542  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Satoshi a Russian? on: November 30, 2022, 02:59:58 AM
Dan Pena explained Putin is Satoshi lol Yeeep Putin is playing a long game and crushing all economies in the world!  He doesn't sound like joking, you can find it on youtube.

Russians are more active on thier local board because they speak Russia there.  But who's to say after all Satoshi has not revealed himself so maybe he is Russian. But the stats in the forum is not proof.
2543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 29, 2022, 03:27:35 PM

Now you are jumping conclusions and misreading what i meant. I wasn't talking anything about cancelling fights, you did that. And i merely mentioned the heat between those countries. But i'll explain myself:

As Thomas Mann said "Everything is politics." And obviously when things get heated enough, it affects to Fighters/players motivation. And when you think about professionalism, do you think that fights in other non combat sports let's say in ice hockey are staged, professional or in any way planned? No. Why it would be anything else in MMA? It doesn't matter how professional you plan to look like if you are frustrated enough, especially when you are getting beaten by them.

Well, we could say that there are some that have been planned, and there are some that do not, regardless of whether being political or not if the fighter doesn't have free will his fight would end up then it can be fixed but there is not a way we can know if the fight will include a political agenda or not if the backer of a certain fighter is a politician then certainly there could be a fixing that is happening, and certainly anything can be controlled with a certain amount of money they have,

Russian athletes participate in UFC right now with a small remark - I think they are not allowed (or at least asked) not to bring Russian flags during ring walk and decision announcement. Remember how they always put flags on their shoulders or back? Havent seen flags for a while. Maybe there are more politics involved in other MMA promotions, but, as UFC are a lot about money, they will never lose a chance to earn. UFC rooster is full of Russian fighters, Russian UFC fan base is huge. UFC will never turn back against such a sweet peace of pie.

Dana White doesn't really care at all if there is money involved he will certainly dive right into it, and not say a thing about it, there are certain ways political views would certainly change the way the fight goes, but for me as a viewer of some combat sports, you will not look at some fights that it will have a political agenda involve in it because if you do you will not enjoy certain things, at some point it surely happens to me I have questioned if UFC is legit or there will be a fixed that would go on with a certain fight if you would think about that you will certainly not enjoy watching a fight because of your suspicion you would certainly think that all are not legit or all will be just fixed for you, and you will not enjoy the essence of MMA

Russians or any other fighters can still wear thier flags when they are introduced in the cage but they are to shoulder the fine that UFC imposes on them. I wouldn't say the UFC decides this one alone but perhaps MMA organization wouldn't want to be in the political hot seat.

While anyone is proud to represent themselves for thier countrymen, the fine may just be too big. Russian names are obvious though. Doesn't need a flag for it.
2544  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BlockFi files for bankruptcy protection. on: November 29, 2022, 03:15:45 PM
They owe more than a Billion to thier investors while they only have less than $300M. So why are they making this drama of filing suit against FTX?
It's all just a drama, they were already bought by FTX, and filing a lawsuit will make them spend more money that is supposed to be distributed to thier investors.

just so people know
they did not change eth to bitcoin direct
they changed eth(native) to renbtc(eth(erc token) and then
we can only presume they swapped renbtc for btc at 1:1 meaning no price changes
or renbtc for fiat meaning a change on the different market thats not the btc:usd market

I think renBTC is a better option in pegging or synthetic BTC in crypto where the value stays the same, unlike the wrapBTC.
2545  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when trading gives you heart problem. on: November 29, 2022, 04:51:04 AM
This has to be some joke. People don’t get heart problems this way. Sure it’s not pleasant losing money but it would cause someone to get a heart attack. I think this is a little far fetched.

Sure investing brings hardship such as this year. However you need to understand it’s only money and when the bull market comes back everybody will be making money again, just need to be patient.

Yap Its a joke lol

He could be right after all the market can be a heartbreaker. And she's like the girl that got away who also took away a lot of your money while it breaks your heart to pieces.

We all I believe experience the bear market, its painful to the heart.  Grin Somehow taking more orange pills can heal the heart problem when the bull market begins.
2546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption Will Increase 50% above Its current level in the coming Year on: November 29, 2022, 03:53:18 AM
^ Not using for now. I have seen some local currency payment apps adding BTC to thier list so this should make people interested especially in the bull run.

50% of the entire population, I think we can achieve more than $100k/BTC for this adoption rate. Currently, afaik we have less than 10% still. The adoption in developing countries are faster and much needed because of the number of unbanked people.
2547  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Will Be bottom Of BTC in 2022 Year ( Current Price= $16000 ) on: November 29, 2022, 02:31:09 AM

There was still news about Crypto lending companies going bankrupt so we might just see another blow to this market before we can finally see the bottom. Genesis hardly gets funding support. Once they file bankruptcy that will bring the price down.

The only hope that is pulling up is Binance recovery funds increasing through help from the industry.
2548  Economy / Gambling / Re: Selling ready2run gambling platform! on: November 28, 2022, 04:02:45 PM
Escrow is fine if paid by user, also domain can just be escrow'd through DAN.COM.

Funds on the platform itself are secure because of using external provider: cryptapi.io for deposits & withdraws, not single actual crypto stored or going through system. Regarding payment serving: https://my.cazinogroup.com/#item-4-5

You answered the question about the escrow but the most important question Given by Og as first poster you denied to address?

I can’t imagine any way to mitigate the risks involved with having someone else develop a gambling platform for you. Is there any assurance the platform wouldn’t be hacked? What recourse would a buyer have if their customers were to lose all of their funds as a result of the software being exploited?

This question actually is not for the OP but for the Buyer , Good that Og pointed this because this is really a issue , Gambling sites nowadays are being attacked and it happens in several time just recently , so having Gambling site that created by someone and will operate by other one is really a super risky.

It's super risky but one solution would be to just hire someone to look at the code thoroughly, find some holes, patch it, and then harden the security. It will be costly for sure. I think anyone will think this way after all crypto is full of fraudsters who will want to just get money out of someone hoping they are not caught. insane.bet by the way is a really good domain.

But what will be the cost of just hiring someone and just developing an opensource casino script?
2549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and security on: November 28, 2022, 03:50:04 PM
Gensler clarified in the past that BTC is not a security. That would mean other countries who would want to regulate crypto may not also consider BTC as security. ETH turned POS might be considered Security.

What make bitcoin as security ?

If BTC does have an issuer it will be considered Security like other altcoins with fixed supply and has all been released already.

Commodities like Gold and Silver were no company that issues them as it comes from nature and real miners dig pit holes.

Tank fighting after just 2 months can be officially accepted if the hype overwhelms the demand. Fans are excited when a faceoff is already a preview of a KO.

The hype is building up already, hehehe

https://twitter.com/ESPNRingside/status/1594821329265598464/photo/1

Nonito Donaire already gave his thoughts in this fight and he says that Tank has the knock out power but then, Ryan has the speed.

So this is another classic example of style makes fight and we will see which style is going to prevail in the end.

Hype continues til it deserves a PPV. Tank will make Hector Garcia an example of what he can do but hype it more till people think it's Ryan that he had beaten.
2551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you were the government, how would you fight against bitcoin? on: November 28, 2022, 01:43:35 AM

It can not be done globally.
But if they are up for it, every government I guess will need to crack down, illegalize and confiscate. It will be a fight that will take a very long time and they would have to include banks and institutions owning BTC. People resist everything that government deems illegal,  if China hates BTC, its people will use BTC more for thier revolution.
2552  Other / Archival / Re: Is there a chance we get a takedown notice? on: November 28, 2022, 01:27:39 AM

Taking down will be harder for governments since developers will just create another mixer. They've done it before with Bitmixer afaik, as they've also sanctioned Tornadocash but it didn't prevent people from going to another. What is more terrifying is if the create government creates mixers themselves to spy on users, this will be an option for them instead. Bitcointalk, I think can be considered social media.
2553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn 9-10% APY using USDT and a simple strategy on: November 27, 2022, 06:14:28 PM

How can this be low risk when it asks for users to deposit coins?

Crypto was rocked by FTX scam where people kept thier assets on exchanges. You have to be so dumb to not learn from the massive fraud happening this year to deposit to centralized Eonian.  We are already avoiding CEX, holders are already getting out of the exchanges to hold or stake coins in the wallets they own. You couldn't expect any new projects this time to do something good.
2554  Other / Meta / Re: Russian Local on: November 27, 2022, 04:29:02 PM

Last week, the EU recognized Russia as a sponsor of terrorism.
Are you saying the Russian state is posting on Bitcointalk?
not the Russian state, but the citizens of Russia who support military aggression against Ukraine. and therefore also supporting terrorism
There is also a thread We are the people of Ukraine https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5392838.0
You also have some freedom in this thread to say anything. Supporting Zelensky would sound normal to you also and it's your freedom so don't hold back.

In fact, posting on Politics & Society will get more attention than local boards.
2555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will support Elon Musk if he creates a stablecoin for Twitter on: November 27, 2022, 07:01:29 AM
Zuckerberg and Elon is not very different when it comes to business. Elon ask $8 fee for a check mark for its KYCed account. He wants money also.

Creating stablecoin is not just about making money, its about regulation from the government. Tether alone has been bombarded by SEC also and the rest of the stablecoin is not safe. While Elon is already a controversial figure by taking over Twitter and attacking Woke, the more he'd be burying his head upon having a stablecoin.
2556  Other / Meta / Re: Watch out for user SCORUM.COMMUNITY on: November 27, 2022, 06:20:01 AM
when I open the link they provide, I only see a blank screen means I'm safe?
I'm afraid because my device stores a lot of important files such as wallets and other important documents

is there a way to see if my device is in danger?

The question I raise is: did you download any files? Did you open any files? If you didn't, you can be minimally calm.
But there's another question: are you using pirated or legal software? Do you have updates up to date? If everything is fine and updates are up to date, then you can also be minimally calm.

Either way, it's hard to say if it's really safe or not. You can try running some antivirus/malware programs to try to detect something.
But I believe, if you have things like I mentioned, it shouldn't be a problem.

Now, you should always be very careful about the links you click on. Remember, your PC's security starts with your online behavior.

I got curious when I received the PM so I tried opening the site. Nothing was there also but a blank page. I didn't mind about it but replied to him saying I'm not the guy he thinks I am to cooperate and spread his NFT game.  Nothing to download from his site. I wonder what game was it though.

A new user spamming PM to active users, I sure SCORUM user is new and has not known how suspicious the forum users are.
2557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: November 26, 2022, 02:45:31 PM
It's awful when in plain XXI Century people still support animal fights. It is even more despicable having someone making money from that. Cock fight is just like a dog fight, it is f%$7&in&/%$/%&$ horrendous. I apologize to tell you but, people who favour this sort of activity should be behind bars for life.
I personally despize people who support animal abuse. I mean, what is wrong with people!? We already enslave animals on industrialized farms. Every day thousands of animals die so that we can eat. Isn't that enough?

Now, animal fights only exist due to the people who place bets, so if you are one of those, I strongly encourage you to refrain from doing so. We have come to a phase in our Human development, where we do not need that sort of savagery anymore. It is not just wars... How the hell are we supposed to build a better world for our children when things like this are not banned?
Agreed, you're right about how horrendous these kinds of activities are especially since times have already changed and this should be avoided as much as possible however these activities are part of the culture of these countries which makes it hard to stop. I'm from a country where cock fighting is too common where you may see it in any place you visit and unfortunately, it some people are against it, they can't stop it as it is already a part of our culture, and it is a common activity on most festivals on provincial part of my country.

Also, this can be said for other animal activities in other countries such as Bull Riding and Horse Race where animals are used to compete with each other or subjected to a stressful environment which are also common cultural activities in those countries.

Except rosters fight all the time even if they are not matched by people. When you put 2 cocks in one square meter, chances is that they will fight to death. There is no protest against this kind of gambling. This is a culture for countries in Asia. Besides rosters/chickens is not an endaganred species. Unlike dogfights, the Animal welfare society will be rallying for justice for these pets.

Did you know that they eat these chickens when they die in the fight?  Well, that's what they said in the youtube comments.  Cheesy
2558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 26, 2022, 02:31:26 PM
In short, it was Lobov's idea to have the business they made which they profited $600M for the shares they sold and he only want the 5%. This is the sad reality when one partners with friends or family members in a business, they eventually fight over money. Lobov is banking on Connor the whole time in his career, they've been best of friends but things change. Money changes people.

Has it been proven that Lobov was involved in the planning stages? I mean, mentioning that Conor should leverage his fame, and turn it into a business, i.e a whiskey business would be totally different than them sitting down, and planning it together. Having the idea doesn't always automatically make you entitled to compensation. Especially, since it's not like they've invented something here, it's something that has been done before.

If it does make court, then I'd be interested in the verdict since that's the sort of things they'll be looking at. Plus, I don't think there's been any accusations of stealing the idea, more like he feels he contributed, and therefore deserves a share. Now, if they didn't agree upon that, and Lobov can't prove that it's likely to be chucked out of court.

Based on what the articles found online, Lobov started the Whiskey business, or at least that's what he is claiming. I guess they'd have to go to court for this 5% of his. But if they do have papers like a contract for that, Conor would have honored it too.

It's why it's never a good way to make a business if you just have a verbal agreement with a friend or even a family member. Its always going to end in a destroyed relationship.
2559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Users Can Now Verify The Bitcoin They Own Via Merkle Tree on: November 26, 2022, 02:12:07 PM

This is cool. Other exchanges I think will like to also open thier balances to all so that people will see thru which one is insolvent and we be aware of what might happen and prevent another SBF in this industry.

CZ is quick to have this transparency. Because he was already criticized for taking the step for the POR by the guys who promoted FTX particularly MeetKevin and his friends such as Stephan Graham.

Doge is likely not going to be taken as Security by the SEC which is a positive sign for its regulation and Elon knows this.

If it's true that Doge will be used on Twitter as speculated by lots of its hopeful hodlers, it's going to pump way high. I can only wish to buy more of it while it's still not half a $.
