Even with the ease restriction, looks like having a live audience is still not possible. IATF is sometimes crap at making decisions lol.
That's true but we should remain optimistic that they'll allow the audience this conference.

Meanwhile, Brownlee is already confirmed to have arrived in the Philippines.

here's the pic.

2542  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu on: December 01, 2021, 09:33:45 PM
As we speak, Canelo might be over 170lbs now. He shouldn't have difficulty fighting in a much heavier division because his body is already used to it. I'm really amazed at these boxers. How can you maintain over 170lbs with a big muscular body? The usual weight of that is playing at around 200lbs. Their training and discipline are really to the highest level.

It's the fruit of their hard work every day, as ordinary people, we cannot imagine how they managed to get that amazing build. It's not just the workout but their healthy diet holds a strong contribution to it. Imagine how fast and strong he is right now in their weight division combining his big body in just 170lbs. Their training is really good and it will cause a lot of stress for his opponent on how to defeat him in his current strength right now.
The sport of boxing has probably one of the most brutal training regimes that we can imagine, obviously other sports have their own difficult training as well but in boxing every single aspect of your physique needs to be trained to perfection, for example many people think that boxers mostly train how to punch but that is only a small part of their training, they need to have a very rigorous endurance training so their stamina lasts for 60 minutes, and they need to even train how to take hits from their opponents, something that must not be pleasant at all.

Well I think boxing training has developed in the last 20 years, trainers are now including lots of discipline in a boxing training as well. So obviously, it's not just the power, speed, (fast twist muscles, specially when Manny Pacquiao comes along as he is so fast and explosive), and then timing and reflexes (eye coordination), and then stamina, (short burst running). So for sure, Canelo has all of this training behind close door, what we are just seeing in public is that he is throwing punch in a mitt or something or shadow boxing.

It's more advance now due to the improvement of science, they can use a lot of factor to make a boxer better, and in the case of Canelo, we can always say that he improved a lot especially his power and stamina, in fact, in most of his fights, his win pretty looks convincing and he was never listed as an underdog except the fight against Mayweather.

Mayweather is currently sitting as a -260 to -280 favorite at most sportsbooks with Canelo as a +210 to +245 underdog.
2543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 01, 2021, 09:11:28 PM
There were two big and awesome games last night:

Brooklyn Nets 112 - 110 New York Knicks
Phoenix Suns 104 - 96 Golden State Warriors

Nets - Knicks was a very close game and Nets got another win by a close gap. Harden and KD were the most performing players for Nets. They had a big role on the win. And as for the other big game, Suns managed to defeat GSW and increased their winning streak to 17 games. This is really huge for Suns and they have a chance to break the biggest streak in NBA history but there is still a long way to go for that. The biggest reason why GSW lost this game was S. Curry's inadequate performance I think.

Stephen Curry's performance was very bad, he did not play as expected. Deandre Ayton found baskets at the most important times and became the Suns' top scorer. Although we don't see Devin Booker on the field much, I think it's very nice that the Suns won the game.
The club's record has been broken and they are doing really well. We can say that it is the best playing team in the league at the moment. I hope these performances continue until the end of the season Smiley

Suns are the number one team now because they beat the Warriors. However, their record is tied at 18-3 so we can't say that the Suns are the best team now, and the Warriors will have a rematch on their home, so that's another game to watch for, let's see if the Suns could still win even on the road.

Miami Heat -6.5 vs Cavaliers
BOL, I'm taking the plus points on the side of the Cavs as some players are still questionable on the side of Miami, I think the Cavs have what it takes to keep it close since they're 4-1 in their last 5 road games beating the Mavs, Knicks, Hornets, and Raptors. The Rockets are tempting as well but they're 0-11 on the road though.  Lips sealed

Also felt good taking the Lakers live yesterday when they're down against the Kings.  Grin

@danherbias07, you bet too early, not sure what made the spread change.

The opening maybe was -6 or -6.5, now the spread is only -3, but anyway, still BOL to you, heat are still good especially at home.
2545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 01, 2021, 02:03:03 PM
I guess only C Stand and Pringle are the new faces of the team that Brownlee has not played with before. However, IIRC,  Brownlee, and C Stand are teammates in Alab Pilipinas before, or rival? So these two meet and know each other hopefully, so let's hope that bond will be stronger as they play for the first time on the same team in the PBA.

They are rivals, Brownlee played for the Philippines while C-Stan played for Hongkong if I'm not mistaken. The bright side for Ginebra when Brownlee is around is that C-Stan may not need to score heavily as Brownlee will do that for them and he is also a willing passer so this will make C-Stan play inspired basketball.

So, we can bet for the PBA again next week, hope everything will be fine during the opening, and also hope that IATF will allow vaccinated spectators to watch the games live even half the stadium capacity.

As long as there's no case yet for Omicron covid virus, I think we have a chance to see a crowd in the game. For now, our government is temporarily imposing a travel ban from some countries to prevent the virus from entering our country, but based on history, the virus will still spread, so maybe vaccination should be increased.

Our government recently announced a national vaccination day from Nov 29 to December 1.. I think that's the effort they made in order to strengthen our immune system against the threat of the omicron virus. Even if the virus will enter our country, it will not create a panic anymore as we have adjusted already since this virus has been with us for almost 2 years already.
2546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: December 01, 2021, 01:25:15 PM
Thanks for sharing the odds, the odds of Butler is so attractive, I'm sure there are bettors who would risk their money on Butler as upset as possible in boxing, and since the upset of Kambasos to Lopez is still very early, they might consider this bet.

As for me, I think I'm just gonna enjoy watching without a bet if I could not find good odds on Casimero, maybe round 1-3, that should give a good odds than betting on the ML.. let's see if the odds are available soon.
2547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 01, 2021, 10:29:24 AM
I wish I was able to watch the Brooklyn Nets vs New York Knicks game last night.  Cheesy  It seems to be a hell of a game. I was supporting Nets for this game and they made it by 112-110. Especially Harden had good stats like 34 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Durant followed him by 27 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. They nearly missed making a triple-double and double-double.

Congratulations to you and the Nets.

If only Harden will continue to be consistent, I'm pretty sure the Nets will be a tough team to crack even without Irving.
The good thing about the Nets is that even if they are down at one point in the game, they still continue to play hard and recover and win the game.

Durant as expected will score a lot, but Harden is great last night as he had a big contribution too.
2548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 01, 2021, 09:55:37 AM
Suns win streak is still alive, they beat the Warriors.

The score was 104-96 and Curry really struggle in this game who finished only with 12 points from 4/20 shooting.
Great defense done by the Suns to Curry, and even Wiggins only made 10 points this game.

Stephen Curry is really struggling to keep his pace, and I have seen how many times he is just sitting than playing because he is not effective inside the court, but it was really a close fight at first but when the 3rd quarter starts it was a war, I really think if Stephen Curry could be effective inside then this could be a win for the Golden State, but all that bad plays he is making, have severe the team but Jordan Poole did an incredible performance, now the Phoenix Suns and the Golden State Warriors each have 18 Wins and 3 Losses. and right now readying for the games ahead of time, I will not make a bet for the games tomorrow, would surely want to rest for now and enjoy my last profit from the previous games.

But that was fun, Warriors are still a good team although Curry did struggle in that game. Next time they will meet (if if will happen again) I will surely bet on the Warriors especially if they are playing at home.

With the win of the Suns, they are now the number 1 team in the West.

2549  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible market crash in the near future? on: December 01, 2021, 07:25:54 AM
Back when 2017, it shoot up like no one has ever imagined it will be going that high in a matter of months and then most of the people taught it will be the end of crypro when it suddenly crashed by December. During that time the network was also a bit of an issue. I have remembered it that way and we should not doubt by this time. We may experience correction but I think crypto will still be a long ride for all of us.
Correction is common in crypto and I don't think crypto will end,
and if we look at 2018 when the market really fell and until now crypto is still surviving and growing,
the most important thing when the market is falling we have to stay calm don't panic
We will certainly see some huge correction again because if we look at how bullish the market is this year, that explains how the hype could affect the market, and with that said, FUD could also affect the market to cause investors to panic, that's what we have a bull market and a bear market, and the price movement would be a pump and dump respectively.

As an investor, we need to learn to invest at the right timing and we can only do that if we are realistic with our approach that we believe in a bull and bear market.
2550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coins that are very down now that may pump? on: December 01, 2021, 07:00:42 AM
Go with the major coins like bitcoin, ETH, and BNB. These coins will survive if the market is bearish, in fact, the best strategy is to buy the dip and sell at peak, and with the current situation, you can always find a good opportunity to do that, why? because the market is still bullish based on my observation.
2551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto's Wealth on: December 01, 2021, 06:24:08 AM
Do you guys think that this will remain a mystery? Or maybe we'll see this holdings moving soon?

He will remain anonymous forever, but of course, we will see his holdings moving soon or in the future. It's common sense, why would he hold a lot of money if he cannot spend it, besides, you'll only enjoy the value of your money if you will spend it.
2552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: School Students learning bitcoin basics in Slovakia.. on: December 01, 2021, 05:23:19 AM
Wow, I wish the government in our country will adopt crypto so bitcoin education will be included in the curriculum. I already see the bright future for these students, as long as they'll focus in crypto, they'll definitely find the best opportunity and they can also help build a good community.

One way to increase adoption is to promote crypto, I think these kids are smarter than some people who thought bitcoin is just an Ponzi scheme that's why they enter to invest.
2553  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit is required? on: November 29, 2021, 10:28:16 PM
That depends on the one who gives the merit, you can make a post that you think good which are helpful, but don't do it for merit purposes only, make it your normal posting habit as merit will eventually be given to you in due time. Don't forget that we also have the merit sources which has tons of merit, they are just looking for a good post to spread their merit and if you are one of them, you'll likely receive it and that would help you to rank up.

Regarding the Lakers, honestly I don't know what's going on, LeBron, AD, Westbrook, DeAndre Jordan, Melo and others players, with this roster, LAL was supposed to be "a monster" and all the other teams were afraid to play against them. But unfortunately I don't see it, I don't see so much chemistry or introverted with players.
In my humble opinion, I believe LJ could stand out more, AD I also think his performance is underwhelming and a player I thought could be a key player for the Lakers, Deandre Jordan, I realize he's not. having that old-time performance!

It's a badly put together group of aging all-stars, that's why.

Maybe 5 years ago if you assembled the same team it would be considered a super-team, but pretty much everyone involved (apart from AD) are way past their primes.
That would not happen 5 years ago as Lebron could not afford the players who are still at their prime.
It's their first season together, lots of changes in the team so we should understand the struggle, besides, the season is still ongoing, it's still early so they can still continue working to do the right blend. Just be optimistic, they'll figure it out eventually, believe me.

If you need Carmelo to be carrying your team when LBJ is away... You're in deep trouble.
Why would you need Carmelo if the team has Westbrook who is an All-Star and previously won an MVP and a Triple double machine?

They've had 20 games and they're exactly .500. If that's not a disappointment I don't know what is.

Westbrook is as inefficient of a scorer as they come, sir. He's proven time and time again in the playoffs that he is not to be relied on as a primary option.

What happens when LBJ goes down? Are you counting on Westbrook to post them to the finals? I wouldn't be optimistic.

Don't forget Davis, he can also lead the team. Westbrook has never played in this kind of team before because he usually leads a team, not follow a leader. Probably this is the worst season of Westbrook but people will forget that if they will get into the NBA Finals, so they better keep grinding to win and be consistent.

Regarding my bet, I can accumulate 0.000313 BTC if all picks win.

Good luck, I hope you'll win it all. GSW already had a good start, they'll likely win this game as they are slowly breaking out with 11 points lead now, 55-44 is the score, and already in the 3rd quarter.

2557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple CEO Tim Cook invests on Crypto on: November 22, 2021, 08:23:29 PM
Glad he did it publicly, that is a good incentive for another tech enthusiasts to also invest in bitcoin. It would be very nice if another big entrepreneurs and businessmen were also transparent about their interest and investments in bitcoin, just like Tim Cook. I bet the key players of business world are all bitcoin adopters, although they keep this fact hidden from the media and from anyone else who could leak this information.
Would really be an eye opener to other CEOs out there or even other people who might get curious and might get interested with Bitcoin or simply on blockchain technology on bigger scale which is always been a good news.

Doesnt really matter if he invested small or what because whats important on here is the exposure that he had done or gave out on this market where it would really help out in terms of adoption
which is already good.

For now lets wait for others to join the bandwagon and would see on how this market moves.

That's right, small or big but this is an influential person, the news would entice people to invest since they'll think that if a CEO of Apple which is a big tech company invested in crypto, then most likely crypto is a real deal, and that would result to buying which what we need for adoption.
2558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Race to $1000, which one would hit first? SOL or BNB? on: November 22, 2021, 12:35:07 PM
These two coins are very bullish now, especially for SOL which started at over $1 this year and now trading at $222 already.

BNB is also a good coin, it's been tested through time already, so we cannot underestimate its success this year.
But my question is, which could do you think will hit the $1000 mark first, and why?

Please vote also.
2559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 22, 2021, 11:19:52 AM
But I totally respect LBJ but maybe he's just frustrated on their run this season that's why he can't handle his anger well.

That only tells that he is a human, we sometimes cannot control our emotion, but Lebron has to understand that people are looking up to him, he has a huge number of fans who sees him as a model, showing bad actions in the court will not make the fans happy.

Related to the incident, according to the article below, they are predicting that Lebron will be suspended in 2-3 games.
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/predicting-lebron-james-suspension-history-suggests-2-3-games-for-closed-fist-hit-on-isaiah-stewart/

He should be suspended, otherwise, people will question the judgment of the NBA and think that there's favoritism happening, and the rules are not for everyone. At least we see this from Lebron, maybe it will be the first and last and he doesn't want to aggravate his problem that a future Hall of Famer has been suspended a number of games.

There's no official report yet but from what we can read online, there's a lot of speculation that Lebron will be suspended. Let's wait for a few more hours, for sure we will read the official news regarding what happened. How about Isaiah Stewart? what would be the action of the NBA on his action that he is trying to fight with Lebron?
2560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Solid Altcoins you suggest should not be in Top 100. on: November 22, 2021, 06:36:20 AM
How about an old coin? This one _ https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/pundix-new/

Currently ranked #258 and its total supply is only 258,526,640, also, already listed in big exchanges and the price is still very cheap.
I made some profit investing on this coin already in the past, and every time there's a bull run, it does pump, so maybe if you'll ride now you would enjoy if they have a big development that would potentially bring some hype.
