Yeah, there's a problem with the speed table. I am working on fixing it... it might give off a few alerts and/or give erroneous readings for speed between now and when I can get a solution worked out.

Cool.
I nominate Inaba for the scammer label.
Wat?

I have debated on whether or not to respond to the criticism in this thread, because I know it will be met with lots of FUD, BS, armchair EE's and just plain trolls.
I've elected not to respond up until now, and I'm probably not going to engage much. But here's the thing:
ESD is a specter that has haunted the electronics industry since the 80's (well, earlier than that, but really came into it's own starting in the 80's). Early electronics were definitely sensitive to ESD and could be damaged/destroyed by just breathing on them wrong. In the past 30 years, advances in material and design have rendered ESD for consumer electronics a virtual non-issue. I'm sure some anecdotal wiseass will pop up and say "Well gosh, my friends brother blew out his iPod by putting it in a Van der Graaf generator!"
That's great, seriously... it is. I'm glad you are the one in a million person who's experienced an issue with ESD. Meanwhile, the rest of the nation and the rest of the world somehow manages to handle, operate and abuse billions of pieces of electronic parts per day without blowing out their device. Pull that motherboard out of your computer and run across the carpet in a dry environment, now go put it back in your computer... it fires right back up! WHOA!
That graphics card? Yeah, pull it out, rub it on your hair while patting a balloon. Now go put it back in, WHOA IT WORKS!
Your iPod? Take it apart, rub the circuit board on your fuzzy nuts, how put it back in... hey, it still functions! Crazy!!!!
The fact of the matter is, ESD for consumer electronics has been a non-existent thread for at least a decade if not two. It's a hold out from 30 years ago when electronics were far, far more fragile and sensitive to ESD. Now let's discuss the BFL singles for a minute... go grab your single, take it apart (Ok, you might void your warranty here, so you're on your own) and fondle the board lovingly. Now put it back together... hey it still works!
Want to live dangerously? Put 12v through the USB port on your single... still works.
Anyway... ESD, while still a problem in some situations, for most consumer electronics is a boogy man and it's time to grow up and stop being afraid of monsters.

So my account isn't flagged or should I keep my config files as is? I will reconfigure them if I'm not flagged?

Hey guys,
I am pricing out additional floor capacity right now. I should have more info in the next day or two once some of the quotes wind their way back to me. I think I can work out a deal that everyone will be happy with and save you time and money. I should hopefully be able to take on equipment within a week or so.

Huh.. oh well. I just got done changing all of my config files on all my rigs to disable Bonuspool, that sucks.

So those of you familiar with Swiftkey will understand, those that aren't, it's time to meet your new overlord. New virtual keyboard are probably going to start to use the technology behind Swiftkey in the future. But anyway, I wanted to know how Swiftkey thought of me, so I asked it by pressing space several times, letting it create a conversation it thinks I would make: I am sorry what is prognosis. I am going to use it on you. I don't know what Swiftkey thinks I am, but I don't know what I've done to piss Siwftkey off. I don't recall ever entering either sentence in recent memory. Oh Swiftkey, why do you hate me?

I'll try to get some minirig pics next time I am there. They were in the middle of a couple assemblies with rig parts hanging out having a good time, so I didn't take a pic.
|
|
|
Haha no, no Jalapenos in the picture. I'm just planning ahead.
|
|

Here they are, being prepped to ship: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fcommunityhosting.net%2Fih%2Fimages%2Fcameraihi.jpg&t=663&c=K6FdVxw_VKlLEA) I stopped by the BFL offices the other day and wow, they've expanded a ton since I stopped in a few weeks ago. I met a number of new hires as well, so it looks like they are gearing up for faster production. The Minirig assembly line was full of Minirigs. I was able to take the above picture of one of the areas they are assembling the singles... I tried to slip a few in my pockets, but my pockets were not big enough, sadly. I may try again and wear some cargo shorts. I think maybe I could fit a six pack of Jalapenos in some parachute pants, too.

Yeah I know, that's why I'm trying to find an alternate method for Euro and AU users. If you have a preferred method that is BTC friendly, I'm open to suggestions.

I would like to know what kind of demand there is for it ... I think it would be fine for my purposes, since I don't have to do any withdrawals from there, really... but I don't want to get too diluted and have to keep a balance in all these different payout methods. Keeping up with Paypal was a giant headache in and of itself.
|
|
|
3% fee? That is just ludicrous for an ATM withdrawal. The wire transfer fees quoted does not include the fees charged by the intermediary and destination bank. That amounts to a bare minimum of $20 per withdrawal, sadly.
I will look further into OK pay, since it would be all outgoing payments, it's probably not an issue for me. Is there a strong demand for OK Pay?

Dwolla is setup and running, but I have no funds in the Dwolla account. I am trying to acquire some faster than the 3 - 5 business days it takes to fund an account. All Dwolla payments will process, but won't actually pay you until the funds are available.

Again though, they'd have to assign value to Bitcoins, which means they'd have to investigate theft, etc... Doing anything like that is going to further legitimize Bitcoin and that's something to be avoided in a lot of peoples minds.

OkPay boggles my mind. They have crazy high fees, an inability to withdraw to a bank account... what is their purpose? If I can't withdraw to my bank account except by wire transfer, with crazy high fees, it seems kind of pointless. May be a non-American thing though. I can look into LibertyReserve, but again, there are problems there. I can't have too many pay sites, since I have to keep an active balance in each of them and keeping thousands tied up like that is not my idea of a good business plan. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

My installs are based on BAMT at the moment, but I have none of the BAMT functionality enabled at this point. So no, that's not it. When libtorsocks has a connection issue, cgminer takes a dirt nap and I just have the script restart it. Hasn't been a huge issue, and actually helps for the BFL units that fall asleep, since cgminer doesn't try to rescan and/or renable sleeping BFL units, so I haven't worried about it too much.

I need to buy some DWolla USD for BTC. Anyone up for a quick sale?

6058 shares is for 1 minirig. The pricing was priced out at a different exchange rate than you are using, and I am reluctant to change that given the volatility of the market. I am not at all convinced we will remain where we are now between now and 30 - 60 days. It also doesn't account for pre-IPO sales.
On another note, I will be exchanging BFLS shares for BFLS.RIG shares for anyone that wants to convert on a 1:1 basis. Some people were a understandably confused on whether or not BFLS would also include Minirigs. Initially it was intended to, but an overwhelming majority did not want to combine them, so they've been split off. As such, I will exchange those BFLS shares for RIG shares for a limited time.

ssaCEO, I don't disagree with what you've said, but here's the thing:
They can't make a bitcoin poker site illegal unless they make "free" poker sites illegal as well. To do that, they would have to legitimize BTC as a valid currency and as "real" money. That's the last thing they want to do... so a BTC poker site would be tough to shut down on those grounds, simply because it would open a different can of worms that no one in the current financial industry wants opened.
