2561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blame Game in gambling on: March 10, 2022, 02:26:33 PM
People now are aware of the technology and the internet so most of their parents now are leaving their children at an early age within their gadgets and by that, they can self-aware about the things on the internet such as gambling, the role of the parents must restrict their children and guide them because sometimes they don't know what's really doing of their child imagine at a very young age get addicted to the online gambling it's not suitable at the very young age. Better to help their child than blame each other because its about the mental health of the child.
What you are talking about is certainly correct.
However, life is not so easy to do.  The problem here is, firstly, that children learn the Internet and all the possibilities of using it very early.  And adults are often less versed in this matter.  And secondly, a child over the age of 13-14 generally stops obeying his parents and all adults.  Anyone who has raised children to adulthood knows how nasty and uncontrollable they become.  So it's hard to forbid them not to play online gambling.
This is a rather difficult problem for all parents in the world.
Like he said people now are aware of the technology, it was different from our time (adults now) when our parents have no idea about it. We learn how to use the internet all by ourselves before but now it was the parents that opens up youtube and handed the tablet or phone to their kids to watch videos. It will start on that and eventually, they will know anything of using the gadget but no doubt that kids nowadays are more rebellious now in their early age compared to the kids in the past.

There is teenage pregnancy that is happening, involvement in illegal drugs, alcohol and obviously, gambling/addiction can be linked to it. Parents now should take extra care with their kids as early as possible.

here is a very nice cartoon that shows what fc chelsea has achieved before and after investor roman abramovich bought the club
he came with a few full bags of money and left with 9 titles achieved Smiley

People are acting very sad towards Abramovic leaving, and I do not understand this non-challant and brutal approach to owners in UK, like how do you guys support every single guy. When Newcastle was sold to a Saudi prince that killed a journalist, people applauded and cheered his ownership. Abramovich could have come in with just one title, and left with 10, and that is a great thing for Chelsea and that is why Chelsea fans loved him, that is sort of understandable.

But, people should realize that he made his fortune from the corrupted Russian politics and became rich and then he did had some fair and legit business' that made him legit money as well, but his rose to power did ended up with corruption. Why support someone like him? I rather let city of London (the government branch) own the club instead of someone like him.
2563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 09, 2022, 07:00:32 PM
It's hard to say who is really at fault in this but as we all know if in this season manchester has had a pretty bad form, even some players and coaches are blaming now, again talking about ronaldo, I think ronaldo has given everything his ability to improve the performance of manchester united today and of course they can't expect more from ronaldo, because after all ronaldo age factor now no longer supports his performance, the reason for rejecting manchester city in the transfer market and then proves that ronaldo really respects manchester united and he has an emotional bond with the red devil team, but the treatment of the manchester united coach now clearly makes him broken heart and wants to leave old trafford.
Here we can't blame Rangnick because it's all Manchester United management choice, and he has done some better than former coach Olé but still few players having issues mean now it's against management need to do something after end of this season right now they have to face this issue without any cure even most chances they are going to lose their next season spot for Champions League because this conflict is going to create bad impact, and they have no chance to perform in better way.

I am feeling arrival of new coach Rangnick was good decision, and he was capable of turning tables into good way but sadly due to some personal egos of players it's not working, and now they have some noise which need to be ended with many players leaving at the end of this season, and they need to do overhaul changes for next season.
2564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 09, 2022, 06:13:10 PM
Arsenal are becoming an interesting team to watch and it seems they've picked up form. For the past three games now they have emerged winners both at home and away. Sitting at the Fourth spot behind Chelsea, let's see how impressive they can continue to get, who knows, they can end up finishing 2nd or 1st.
I think they are a very strong team and they have been very successful in the last games, they haven't lost points for a very long time. It is very difficult for them to be first, I don't think they can achieve this, but they can finish in the top 3. If the team continues with this form, the difference in points will definitely be closed.
Their game against Liverpool will be a very important match Smiley
Few months back there were no talk about Arsenal what they can achieve and how they finish this season but recently suddenly they change things very aggressively and positively for themselves even Aubameyang factor is also not having any bad impact on them, and now they are a strong contender for having fourth spot in Premier League and can qualify for Champions League in next season which is amazing change in this team. Even they fail to have few buying's in last winter, but they are still looking into future which is bright for them in presence of Arteta who is doing great job.

Now after many years things are going very good for this team and it's fans because last few seasons they suffer badly after end of Wenger era which was also very good for them.
2565  Economy / Economics / Re: Your wealth and options during the bad times on: March 08, 2022, 09:56:39 PM
I totally disagree with this, money cannot buy everything, money can't buy peace, and those that has money and properties were also affected in this ongoing war. All physical assets and investment are being destroyed, the owner even is not safe because of panic in the ongoing crisis,
If the situation would be bad for those who are rich, how bad do you think it would be for people who are broke? You maybe right about the fact about properties being destroyed, but the op did mention Bitcoin right? If part of your money is being stored in bitcoin, as long as there is life, then you still have your money and would be able to survive after everything, and you’re better off than those who are holding physical assets in a location of war.

Imagine someone who has invested in houses as an asset they would be at loss. Owning a land might not be a bad asset, unless in a situation where the enemy takes over the conquered territory? Anyways, we should always make good plans and choose wisely.
2566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 08, 2022, 06:30:26 PM
PSG as the only one team on Ligue 1 have financial strength than left 19 other team and I think between PSG on other Ligue 1 team participants have far different between transfer player value until with salary received by PSG player, but I see not looks have competitive on Ligue 1 although have many derby and classic match but financial is most important thing on football competition right now. With financial strength than other team now PSG success lead as 1st standing position and have gap 13 points left from OSG Nice although some time PSG defeated by mediocre team.
There were few teams which have some better financial position but still PSG is having huge difference and with current way it's going no other team can compete with them in this case which is wired because few seasons back Monaco was also very good in Ligue 1, but suddenly they have downtrend last year Lille won title at the end of season with just one point gap this is also amazing.

But sadly in this season, we have no competition from any team and mostly good teams are struggling badly in league as they are unpredictable but good things still happening as Nice, Marseille and Rennes are doing good but no challenge for PSG so here French Sports Authority need to do some better things for improving quality and better financial things because right now it's all boring and if it's not changed then it's going more down for millions fans around the globe.
2567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the $500 for? NFT or Coin! on: March 08, 2022, 05:21:10 PM
Thats true. Buying well-established coins are better especially now that the price is declining. Its more profitable and less risky compared to investing on NFTs wherein its not easy to find a reliable one. Hence if you have $500 budget, think wisely where to invest because the hype of NFTs will fade but the coins that are existing for few years already are proven to be profitable by the investors who long been here.
I agree in principle here but that depends of course on how that $500 looks like for you objective-wise. If it's considered savings and you want to protect it from inflation and hopefully grow wealth long term, absolutely yes.

But if it is something you are willing to lose because you can afford it and just want to try and become wealthy? In this case I doubt you can go anywhere near x100 ($50,000) with ETH or BTC in a long long time.
Even if it is something you are willing to lose, are you just throwing it away? People mistake "I will not be upset if this money is gone" with "I will flush it down the toilet". Even if you are not really dependent on that money, you still would prefer to make money with it, it is a much better option.

It means that there is a risk/reward ratio that makes sense, if you are taking a huge risk for a small return possibility, that makes no sense. NFT is at that stage right now, any NFT that has absolutely no utility, and brand new, has a huge risk and yet not a lot of reward returns. Which is why it does make sense to stay away from them for the time being.
2568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you know when to sell? on: March 07, 2022, 08:28:02 PM
Personally, if the market is going up and I feel it is profitable, then I will sell it, so I can't really stick to when the time is right to sell or buy it. it all depends on the conditions of the crypto market itself. Usually, when the market is down like this it will take quite a while to recover, so this is a good time to buy a coin at a low price and hold it. if you are asked if you regret it or not when you pass a good moment to sell or buy, then it is already a risk, therefore we have to think about it and analyze it carefully first. not that I never regret it, but it will be better if we focus on the next trade or strategy.
Sticking to one specific price target can be boring because we usually aim for a high amount and that doesn't come too easy but if we don't set such a thing, we are free to sell whenever we like. Seeing small profits on your hand can make you feel more motivated to go for more, the same thing when buying but one cant tell when will the price recover. The price can recover maybe later or the next day who knows? So, don't be confident with yourself too much.

What makes you think having regret is a risk? I think this is normal if we talk about good moments because they are rare but you still missed them, what a shame but we can learn from this and not repeat the same thing.
2569  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic effects after Russia blocks Facebook, Twitter, etc.! on: March 07, 2022, 08:08:27 PM
People who really need it for work or something important will just use a VPN or tor. Imo problems with payments will be far more concerning. Lots of employers would rather find a new worker than consider paying in crypto.

Exact, there are some campaings which collect money to give Russian the possiblity to buy VPN plans in order to be able to read source other than the Russian propaganda. I think young Russians who are very familiar with technology already managed to get VPN or TOR access.
I'm worried about the older citizens that are not used to technologies because they are the ones that will be affected, we know that older people love to use social media nowadays especially facebook but if this one thing that makes them happy will get banned, what are they going to do now? their lives are going to be boring.

Let's hope there are youngsters that are going to be concerned with them and help them set up a VPN so that they can continue their access on the social media sites. Nice to know that there are people that are also concerned about Russia, I thought all the people now are collecting donations to help the Ukrainians I was wrong with this.
2570  Economy / Economics / Re: Who gain's from War ? on: March 07, 2022, 06:52:30 PM
Those who impose sanctions against Russia will have a huge hit on economy also. Those countries and companies have lost huge sales market, as Russia is huge. I dont know to who them will sale all the products they have produced. They can stop productions, but they will have to fire employees and keep only minimum amount of them. If less people buy products, but company expect to get same year profit, then what will they do? Increase price or close down. Example - what happens to a shop if customers dont visit it, or you get 10 customers instead of 30 daily?

I dont understand people who think "we will ban Russian goods and wont import our goods them. We will impose sanction". They will suffer from it also. I am already feeling fuel and product price increase, and it is getting worse.
Increasing the price of the product would lead them to a more loss because there are less or no people will buy the product. Firing some employee sounds harsh because someone will lose a job, stopping the business completely is the worst idea because no more income a company can get but I think the best option, for now, is to reduce the price. They can still sell the products in unaffected countries.

Russia is not the only country in the world, we need to remember that but I think there is another way to punish the people that are involved and push the war, not only in the form of sanctions because its effect is not direct to the people that deserves it.
2571  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A thing worst than "don't trade with your emotion" a trader should avoid on: March 07, 2022, 11:19:28 AM
Shillings and hype are good sometimes, they might have their influence on bitcoin/Altcoins growth but I think it's not good to follow their steps because they say it will 100x, they are overdoing it and it doesn't help traders.
Common people and lazy traders are following such influencer only for the reason of those "sometimes". Smart people will only risk less than 5% of their capital with such influencers but dumb people may go overdoing like you have mentioned. I mean you cannot ignore such influencer completely and this way I believe people are already doing good if they risk smartly.

Be focused on your own findings and make a clear decision on your trades.
This must be one of the basics of trading but following hype sometime helps and sometime disappoints but risking only within affordable limit my help anyone all the times.
2572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Centralised Exchanges are the Biggest Enemies of Bitcoin on: March 06, 2022, 09:39:12 PM
I am not saying that CEXs are the biggest “enemies” or “threats” to BTC. It’s just that they have no choice but to comply with the regulatory requirements of a certain country in order for it to operate and become available to those customers (especially sanctions).

I only use CEXs to convert my cryptocurrencies and transfer it to a custodial wallet where I can withdraw it straight to either bank or mobile payment provider. But it’s not a good idea to make CEXs as a storage source if we want to hold BTC or any cryptocurrency.
I think that even the centralized exchange operators have also realized this, that what they'd be doing can counter act the true purpose of bitcoin but like you said they have no choice. They need to do it continue maybe because they chose their business over btc because they want to profit although they still support btc ( buying and selling of it ).

There are still dex's anyway that we can use if a certain exchange is not available on our country or simply if we are against on the cex because we have the same mindset like the op. You didn't keep your money in cex but you still use a cex to trade. In the end you are still supporting them.
2573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT Tokens a Good Long Term Investments? on: March 06, 2022, 09:19:43 PM
NFT looks as monkey business not worth for long term investment and only advantage take profit for early entry and you as latest buy on NFT will hard reaching higher price from your buy price, I think first time launching to public about  NFT not all agree and getting have several people made out rule by selling his selfie picture of NFT, looks most crazy how come and what for using from selfie picture as NFT, not any art value and not other function maybe as NFT game we can use it for hero card and playing game, but with many time I see people try to sell his selfie picture looks like not understand what benefit if buy their NFT.
There's actually a lot of monkey based NFTs but a lot of them are fake and only exist because of the hype of the real one's due to their massive value but the original are I think have their unique use cases therefore i wouldn't call them a monkey business. Let us not judge the book based on their cover please.

NFTs are not mature enough, they can prove more in the upcoming years. I would like to include a couple of NFTs along with my cryptos for a long term hold. The selfie NFT is interesting, it got boomed lately but i don't know if what is its utility. People would be buying it because it got trendy and to support the guy that makes a selfie of himself every single day straight for a couple years. It can be an art to some because of its consistency.
2574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto in war ukraine and russia on: March 06, 2022, 08:55:43 PM
The war going on in Ukraine not only has an impact on the crypto market but also has an impact on the world economy because Russia is the largest oil supplier in Europe, and sanctions imposed by many countries such as the UK and France are making things worse. especially now that the war in Ukraine has also spread to the world of football and Russia is in danger of not being able to play in the world cup which will be held in Qatar. Many crypto investors are from Russia and even the inventor of ETH is also from Russia, if the blocking really happens it will certainly have a bad impact on the crypto market. I just hope the war in Ukraine ends quickly and doesn't spread to the crypto world.
It's okay if it had an impact because the impact is not only negative but it also has a positive impact because it allows them to realize how important crypto is, during that situation. Aside from the oil, Russia is also said to be the biggest supplier of metals that is used for chip making, the one that is used by computers and gadgets. This is going to affect both industry.

The sanction that  are given to Russia is wide that even the sports or the athletes are also affected because they are now banned in competing to other countries. I don't think there is a blocking of cryptos in Russia but in fact Russians now were encourage to donate some cryptos in Ukraine because they are also against this war.
2575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This Ukraine issue has me thinking a lot. In a crisis, how valuable is bitcoin? on: March 06, 2022, 08:41:03 PM
your bitcoin would be inaccesible since bitcoin requires internet and a mobile phone. You could no longer exchange it for goods and services or physical currencies. The only thing you can do is to move out to another country where there is no conflict in order for you to survive, or just seek some help.
It surely requires internet but you can use any device not only a mobile phone as long as they support internet and they have a browser in them. Why would you move to another country when you can just wait for the war to end because they are going to restore the internet after that.

Traveling to another country can be a hustle and can cost you more but it can be worth it if you have relatives there and if you are going to do other business and not only by finding an internet connection only to access your coins. I heard on the news that Elon Musk has provided starlink to the Ukrainians for them to connect to the internet. that should keep them going.
2576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 06, 2022, 07:44:09 PM
Today was a good day for saint etienne and troyes they both won against two of their relegation contenders teams bordeaux and metz things are not looking good for these teams they are not able to win games i think with today score their chances are slim to stay in the ligue 1.
Few weeks back Saint-Étienne were the worst team in French League but suddenly change of things giving good results to them, and they are out of relegation zone even it's still not safe zone for them as they have some tough matches in coming weeks which is not good for them but good thing all relegation zone teams having not good enough gape in points which can give them some interesting competition until end of this season.

Still, few teams are doing good after having very bad start, and they are trying their best for staying into good hunt for better spots in league table because it's near end of this season which need some improvement currently just PSG is having safe zone all other teams are still doing good work for their spot.
2577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To those Russians who are against the war: use Bitcoin to help! on: March 06, 2022, 07:14:06 PM
The address shared by the Ukrainian twitter handle is probably safe but I can't say anything for the other one. That wallet very well might  belong to a terrorist group in the middle east. I wouldn't send my precious bits to some unknown address blindly. Do your research first. I am not saying the OP is a liar or a scammer though sometimes people help the scammers without knowing it.

Also be careful if you are Russian and living in Russia. Putin will not like this action of yours if he finds out. (helping the enemy)
The OP posted a wallet address together with a website. I tried to check the website to see if they have the same wallet address but I can't understand a thing as it was written in a different language and I'm also using a different browser with no auto translate. He also said that it was from the biggest charity in Ukraine.

You guys can google it out to see the records of the site if it was legit but if no other details found then its safe to doubt because anyone can create a new website and put convincing details there. If we want to donate we can use the address that is posted in twitter as it's more secure. We can use some kind of a VPN for extra protection if ever we are from Russia.
2578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying with Bitcoin where there's rush on: March 06, 2022, 10:58:18 AM
Bitcoin is used for crime and it'll scare a lot of people away from accepting bitcoin just like the teenager Op called out that got a negative response. Actions like the one stated in your story won't help the adoption of bitcoin globally. And they had the money in BTC but, they deceived the vendor because he can't wait and if they were allowed to wait they will order more drinks. I don't know the level of the Vendor in crypto but, he would have suggested that they sell the bitcoin to a vendor that will send fiat to his Bank account.
The best thing that the owner of the bar would have done is to ask them to stay back until their transactions has been confirmed at least three times. I guess maybe he’s someone who doesn’t have a clue as to how cryptocurrency works.

This is his business, so it shouldn’t be something that he should play around, you don’t go around and just hop into a bar to drink and insist on paying with Bitcoin when you know for sure that isn’t normal. So, the vendor made a mistake by letting them go, he should have insisted on either getting paid in cash or they will have to wait till their transaction gets three to six confirmations before they are allowed to leave.

If they had the time to sit down and drink as much as they want, then they should as well have the time to wait for their Bitcoin transaction to be confirmed. If they refused, then he had right to call the police and get them arrested.
2579  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price stay above $40000? on: March 05, 2022, 09:58:07 PM
Unfortunately today's market drop again so the price of Bitcoin is under $ 40k which is $ 38K, many analysts are convinced that the Red Market will occur throughout the year 2022, even sure Bitcoin prices will drop below $ 25K, but I think Bitcoin always has the opportunity to recover and skyrocket again so I'm not worried even though the market is dropping.
These type of drops (small ones) tend to be fragile and not really have a long term impact. This doesn't mean that it will skyrocket back up again, but it certainly doesn't mean that it will go down more neither. Usually when bitcoin goes down, it goes down a lot, we lived through those days a lot, we all remember how it could go from 50k to under 40k in a single day, or even hour. So when you are at 41k to 42k or so, and drop to barely under 40k, that doesn't really tell me anything.

I personally hope that we will do better, but it will probably take some time before it goes there. So, we just need to wait and see but meanwhile get your cash ready for a drop, and your stop loss ready as well.
2580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 05, 2022, 09:40:01 PM
I'm really glad to see that Newcastle have improved their performance a lot by the beginning of the second half of the season. They haven't lost any league game for literally seven weeks. This is a really big achievement for them after starting the season too badly. They are still close to the relegation area though but they will get away from there as long as they keep up the good work. And today, there is a tough game waiting for them against Brighton home. The odds of the teams are the same now. They are given an equal chance to win here but I still believe in Newcastle not to lose.
That is a bit because they were one of the highest spenders of this winter transfer window. They spent 42 million on Bruno, 30 million on Chris Wood, 15 million on Trippier (got injured though) another 15 million on Dan Burn and got Matt Target on loan. That is like 100+ million on just winter transfer window and none of them are superstar players that we all heard about. That is how they have 5 wins all season but 4 of them came in the last 5 games.

When you spend 100+ million on transfers, you get better obviously. Give that to Norwich and I guarantee you even after most of the league is over, they can still get out of the relegation zone, it is all about money.
