2561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use cases. What do you actually use Bitcoin for? on: October 10, 2015, 11:50:31 AM
My case of use of bitcoin would be an investment. I just need to follow the inventor of bitcoin, he anticipated and kept his bitcoin as investment after some 90% of total bitcoins mined out I will use my bitcoin as money.

That is not investment, investment is when you cashout later.

In your case, you did a wealth conversion, and a paradigm shift, thats what you did.

Investor would be buying at 20$ and selling at 5000$ later on, you dont sell so you are not.

An investment can go beyond generations. Buying at 20$ selling at $5000 is a trading. The difference between a trader and investor is only time. A long term/time trader is an investor. If you convert your efforts or salary into bitcoin and keep on saving bitcoin as an investment, you are an investor.
2562  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: October 09, 2015, 05:34:32 AM
Quitting trading is the good thing if you have faced many losses. Many people could not find a way to stop themselves from doing trading. So, decide what you need to do.

We should not quite trading. Defeating is not an end in anywhere. We should keep trying until we get success. If we gave up so easily than i guess we will never be able to become succeed. To become succeed we should keep trying until success.

Either decide to continue or quit, depend on progress and willingness. if see no good result after stick for years, and keep wasting money away, we will decide to quit for sure. while in opposite, when we are make good progress, and able to make capital growing high, we will remain stick with trading.

But Maclin’s window may be closing. A Bitcoin update designed to fix the malleability issue has been in the works for over a year, and the latest attack could be just the spark to light a fire under it.
I dont think Alister Maclin spent huge amount of money to get this done but rather he is a genius who can manipulate codes and java languages but i wish he does not do it again because a lot of people in this community suffers during that attack.

We can request him not to repeat..
But what if a government plan against a decentralized system for the purpose of their own system. So, we need to be ready with a versatile robust system to face any kind of attack. Time to think of changes to withstand any kind of attack. Last time, many people suffered with higher fees and late transaction confirmations.
2564  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: October 08, 2015, 04:01:34 PM
I am student and don't have a job right now but when i do then i won't quit it for bitcoins because job is permanent and we never can expect anything from bitcoin cost

as like me,iam a student but iam a freelancer so far i won't quit from my freelance and going to the bitcoin because i think bitcoin is just a second income for me,and i was thinking why not to get double from my freelance and from bitcoin also

Working for bitcoin as freelancer is best thing for students if they save bitcoin rather spening bitcoin for day today life expenses. Bitcoin has more promises for students than any elder people as they get a chance to use bitcoin being youngsters. I feel I do not have bitcoin in my adolescence age.
2565  Economy / Economics / Re: Thoughts on "holding" Bitcoin on: October 08, 2015, 04:54:14 AM
Holding until my mom knows how to use BTC....then spending when that happens

I like your thought if you say for your 1 year old kid. Because bitcoin would be more beneficial for your children. You may be joking on your mom's internet knowledge. But I see holding bitcoin with a target is a good thing for the holder as well as for bitcoin community.
2566  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: In how many ways you can buy or sell Bitcoins? on: October 08, 2015, 04:40:18 AM
Simply we can say from people or from exchange or from ATM or from a bitcoin shop. Many exchanges now a days accepts cards for buying bitcoin, that would be the easier way of buying if ATM not available in your region or country. Mining can not be considered as a process of buying bitcoin.
2567  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: October 08, 2015, 04:36:10 AM
Deciding to quit trading just because of the losses faced on last trading is the most common situations in trading houses. But we must learn profit or losses are part of trading. We must aim to minimize losses than profits. because you can not completely prevent losses.

Yes. If number of winning trades are just more than loosing trade then people will consider trading as their one of main income sources. But that's the challenge we face from trading world. All the above, people making small profit in 10 trades and a big loss in a single trade. That's the real situation.
2568  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you wish you could buy with btc ? on: October 08, 2015, 04:20:15 AM
I wanted to buy my future with bitcoin. Yes holding bitcoin for long term is my prime motto. Really I have good faith with bitcoin, comparing to the new bitcoin user in 2030, I was a early adopter. So definitely I would have more bitcoin advantages than him. Either me or my family will use my bitcoin hoardings for a better life.
2569  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin and Porn on: October 08, 2015, 04:15:31 AM
With bitcoin which is fast, secure and anonymous, is the best way to use when making transactions with porn sites. The anonymity and the safe part of bitcoin goes well hand in hand when dealing or subscribing on porn sites, as we all know that we prefer privacy, (no credit card infos) when going for this.

Yes bitcoin provides all these advantages you have stated except my age proof. Basically bitcoin can be used by any age persons because it's completely anonymous. But porn must be dealt only with age above 18 as per many country. That's the reason when we use bitcoin they ask for age proof along with our bitcoin payment. Again in starting point?
2570  Economy / Speculation / Re: Only 6 million bitcoin be left to mine on: October 08, 2015, 03:52:41 AM
Nope, 5 years min before we are above $500
That's what people were saying when Bitcoin was at $100: "five years minimum until we're at $1000"  Roll Eyes

Yes no one was right in predicting bitcoin price. As bitcoin is the new technology and still in testing phase, it's highly vulnerable to sustain on the event of bad news.
In the first halving bitcoin was around $12. So, in 3.5 years within 2nd halving it raised and sustaining by 20 times. In between peaked to $1200. So, we can expect more than these things before 3rd halving.
2571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your idle coins? on: October 07, 2015, 04:35:32 PM
Just let it sit until right now because i'm wait until halving block coming and i want to sell all my coins

But I do not see a immediate hike on the event of block reward halving. It need some time logically a round involving old miners, new miner, new buyers and difficulty changes. Bitcoin needs to be held for long time, but you can en-cash from it when ever you feel a good price. But all at a time must be a bad idea.
2572  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: October 07, 2015, 02:40:17 PM
From the past history we need to learn the lesson of holding bitcoin than simply buying and selling as a day trader. I believe that history will repeat itself. So, there are more and more chances of explosive of price hikes in upcoming days based on halving and new ASIC miners. I prefer to hold bitcoin for long time, it's a simple way of making money.
2573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do hardware wallets like Trezor create 100 addresses? on: October 07, 2015, 05:47:27 AM
I think, it's for the secure of your wallet.
Cos, if you just have 1 address and you store all of your Bitcoin in it. When someone hack your account, boom|You lose all of your Bitcoin.
But if you store the Bitcoin to every different address, then if someone hack 1 address you'll just lose small amount of the Bitcoin.

How could a person "hack my account".  If they did that would they not have access to all 100 addresses?

Once you have transmitted some bitcoins from an address the private key behind that address becomes mathematically less secure. This is because some information is revealed on the public blockchain that would make it slightly easier for a hacker to guess your private key. Using today's computing power, this does not amount to any significant risk, but who knows what can happen with future technologies such as quantum computing.

So with 100 addresses each with different private keys this theoretical risk is mitigated.

In practice, having 100 addresses is only better for privacy reasons because it makes it a little harder for people to track your transactions.

Yes having multiple bitcoin address is minimizing hacking vulnerable. Many recommendations urge us to go for multiple address to save bitcoin to minimize the tracking as well as change addresses while sending bitcoins like Electrum has a feature. So, Trezer has a most needed feature whereas I could not find option to get 100 addresses in multibit HD.
2574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi is back ? on: October 07, 2015, 05:26:23 AM
Is Satoshi a SHE or a HE or a Team?

It's a mystery still.
But Satoshi is not a team name.
But some bitcoin early developers hide their identity. Later they are altogether refereed as Satoshi. In that group, there are chances for both the genders.
2575  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cashback for your gambling losses on: October 07, 2015, 05:16:13 AM
I have already heard this kind of cash back from some forex brokers. They provide on the event of losses, from their fixed commissions some rebates to encourage the trader to overcome his losses in some ways. But no one can completely compensate a traders or gamblers losses. Then it means we again need to go for trail accounts.
2576  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to make Cricket betting more profitable on: October 07, 2015, 05:13:03 AM
Cricket is the game where you can make profit even before the finish of the game. Most of the time should use arbitrage which almost in 90% matches works.Sometimes it is better to see the 1st innings and live betting works very good as well is more profitable.

Yes. That's the reason I love cricket betting. Easy predictions based on the players and mostly cricket matches take place between two teams, not a tournaments where many teams participate and team combinations would be more. Cricket betting is easiest way of profitable gambling.
2577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long did it take you to make 1 BTC? on: October 07, 2015, 04:50:26 AM
I made two today, I bought 2BTC on btc-e.  Grin

Wow. Great contribution to bitcoin community. Hold them tight.
I guess you will keep them for some big price hike. My recommendation would be holding it for years. Then you will feel prod of buying a bitcoin.
Follow and the best available and suitable measurements to secure your bitcoins in cold storage and strong encryption password.
2578  Other / Off-topic / What is the wrong with sex and gambling on: October 07, 2015, 04:25:09 AM
Both sex and gambling are not meant for minors.
Many people do not want to confess they are addicted to either one or both.
Both sex and gambling are best for pleasureful entertainment.

Many people are not ready to unveil their achievements or losses they faced in gambling. I do not understand why they are hiding when both are good for a new beginner to follow or to avoid. They are hiding their experience like sex life.
Is it right?
2579  Economy / Economics / Re: Did Bitcoin Ruin Your Life, Or Help Your Life? on: October 06, 2015, 04:47:35 PM
Bitcoin helped more than it ruined me. Of course there have been times where I lost bitcoin from stupid mistakes, but bitcoin has taught me a lot about this technology of payment. If cryptocurrency becomes the future, we already got a head start on it.

Good to hear. For me, it too early to conclude that effects of bitcoins has brought into my life. I spent more time for bitcoin to make more investments with bitcoin. This is because I believe with bitcoisn future as the tomorrow's financial world would be controlled by crypto-currencies. Let me wait for my conclusion as it need long time to get an answer.
2580  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people dump their Bitcoins ? on: October 06, 2015, 04:43:51 PM
In your opinion what are the reasons that let someone start dumping his bitcoins and walk away ?
I personally (and this is just my opinion) that it's more panic then simply his need of money or something else , as we saw on the BitcoinXT last time , people started to panic and simply sold their bitcoins and that caused a drop in the price .

Miner are good example who are in regular selling to compensate their running costs like electricity cost or any hardware rentals. If some one is selling means he does not mean dumping. In a free market everybody has their own right s to buy as well as sell.
