Yes you may feels guilty for now because you're the one that got him into such behavioural attitude and lifestyle but i can tell you that even without you taking part in it your friend will still end up in thesame condition through someone else, why i said this is because I know of some people that are not self dependent in decision making, such easy got influenced amidst peers, they dont know what's good or bad for them or even create time for themselves to discover why things are in such a way, you advise him and he chose to accept.
2562  Economy / Reputation / Re: 5000 good posts reported - we can all do it too! on: December 28, 2022, 04:03:38 PM
Its taken me a while but I’ve finally done it ! 5000 good posts reported  Smiley
We can all do it too, just report a few posts every day when you get a spare 5 minutes in whichever section you generally inhabit and we’ll soon see the spam, the off topic, the duplicate posts etc recede.

And yes it is a good feeling and yes it’s a pat on the back for me too  Smiley

This is indeed amazing and i hope some members will learn from this than taking the law into their hands by leaving negative feedbacks on user's  account than reporting to the moderators for proper administration, there's no doubt that we have a daily inflow of spammers and trollers into the forum and same way we cannot judge every post we did not comply with to our standard by tagging them with neural feedbacks synonymous to negative one by the comment made, when the moderators are saddled with such responsibility to either delete posts or move them to appropriate channel, for you to have done this OP means alot, I personally learnt something from your commitment and determination to help filter the forum by reporting to moderators than tagging indescriminately, keep it up.
2563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving: If not Bitcoin Wallet then House for Fiat. on: December 28, 2022, 03:19:07 PM
Keeping your money in the bitcoin wallet is the best way to safe guard your money in this contemporary capitalists technological (digital) economic  system

Then we must also ask ourselves of which type of wallet to we choose as a means to keeping our financial assets, some choose the centralized means while others decentralized, but any wallet that does not give you full access to your asset is not good enough because they have the keys in their custody and not you, thereby been vulnerable as well for an attack by hackers or other illicit fraudulent activities, making it not your keys not your coins.

because if you keep your money in the Fiat e-banking system, the total capital which you have deposited to the bank account will not be in the same amount when going to withdraw in again

There's huge similarities in using a centralized exchange for your bitcoin and that of fiat banks and it's currency, they are under central authority and are subjected to law enforcement by the governing bodies over your finances, your asset will not yield profit by any chance than loosing value over time while exchange charge and can take away all your asset if under attack without any means to recovery.
2564  Economy / Economics / Re: What was your lowest point financially? How did you go through it ? on: December 27, 2022, 03:20:42 PM
In most cases i do end up spending over beyond budget whenever am gambling because the more you're gambling the nore it requires fund for you to use in doing so, sometimes one got off beyond control of himself and enjoy gambling having fun even when much money is involved before realizing that alot had gone through the process, I've done this to the very last of my penny at hand before i then came into realization.
2565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can Express P2P option in NFT Marketplace Possible!!! ? on: December 27, 2022, 03:15:49 PM
OP your discussion goes more with talks on altcoins which makee it more suitable for the altcoins discussion, while this is been bitcoin discussion board, you can as well change this by moving your thread to the appropriate board, most often are discussions of bitcoin here and most of the members coming here wouldn't have got enough experience in giving you accurate answer to your question as expected.
2566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: December 27, 2022, 10:02:59 AM
Even during the extreme of the crypto winters, El Salvador focuses on Bitcoin mass adoption. A clip shows the students being educated about Bitcoin in a classroom.

Bitcoin education at a young age might drive the mass adoption and use cases of crypto once the students become adult citizens and start contributing to the nation.
El Salvador 🇸🇻 government has continued to push for grass root adoption of Bitcoin, recently El Salvador government's attention has been focused on education and Bitcoin is the central topic. At first, there was the launch of the Bitcoin diploma program which covers a wide range of topics related to digital asset, blockchain, and the bitcoin POW. But recently the El Salvador Bitcoin Education has been extended to young students to enable them to have early awareness and education about bitcoin and how to easily integrate themselves into the Bitcoin network as an alternative to the traditional financial systems, even as the crypto winter has eaten deep into the country's Bitcoin holding, the government is taking a great step to ensure grass root and community adoption of bitcoin because that is the only means to pave way for the success of El Salvador Bitcoin project which has faced a lot of criticism from various quarters.

Ever since El-Savador has adopted bitcoin, there have been always a move to create satisfaction for the people, part of the aspects that got me surprised is in the introduction of education on bitcoin, it's a decision that helps every potential bitcoiners to maximize the opportunity in adoption which will also help in inculcating bitcoin education and the people were ever grateful for such because learning bitcoin in school is a rare privileged they have got served with.
2567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers leak personal info allegedly stolen from 5.7M Gemini users on: December 26, 2022, 02:27:06 PM
Another sad story related to exchanges... Anyone used Gemini? We all love KYC so much...

Gemini crypto exchange announced this week that customers were targeted in phishing campaigns after a threat actor collected their personal information from a third-party vendor. The Gemini product security team published a short notice that an unnamed third-party vendor suffered an "incident" that allowed an unauthorized actor to collect email addresses and incomplete phone numbers belonging to some Gemini customers.

KYC is dangerous from many reasons, one of them is that you give your data to people who do not know how to keep them safe...

more details: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/hackers-leak-personal-info-allegedly-stolen-from-57m-gemini-users/

You don't have tobget worried of these kind of news if you're the type not interested in using a centralized exchange but if you're using a centralized exchange then always expect such continuous pop of this kind of news around ceaselessly because they have their privacy revealing policy and the attack they are prone to from hackers, if you uses them you're on your own, it's as risky as investing on a shitcoin from other cryptos, learn to have your bitcoin with you and not with exchanges.
2568  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Good idea If you want to end any war on: December 26, 2022, 02:18:52 PM
I dared if this is going to be akind of threatening and trickish referendum he's trying to come up with because I don't see any reason why such should cause for negotiation and any MoU to be put in place since the two of them were independently sustainable whereas the Russian government created the fuse in he beginning and what they have been left with is a huge casualties as a result then the intended victory they had thought of right from start, if they should end the war it's a shame and a lost victory on them and if they continue then it's ceaselessly continue to loose men and manpower over the war.
2569  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should Ukraine Surrender? on: December 26, 2022, 01:51:10 PM
We're all away of the lingering crisis which has befallen Ukraine since its invasion by the Russian military. Since then all effort put in place to restore peace has so far proven abortive. Lives and properties have been destroyed and billions of dollars spent yet, Russia has refused to back off and Ukraine refused to surrender.

Now I'm pushed to ask if you were to be the Ukraine president, would you consider to surrender so as to stop this continuous destruction or prefer to continue the defense?

This kind of way cannot be surrendered by Ukraine because they have gone far to this stage it has gotten and only need more time to got the whole attention over the war into a finishing point, presently now if you consider the side most affected then you could bring in a suggestion for surrendering since they have suffered alot, but here the intended Ukraine isn't loosing nor being defeated as thought and expected and all the required actions lies in with employing the starter for an end to the menace if so wish by them and consider what's been lost even from their own capacity.
2570  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I feel guilty. on: December 24, 2022, 03:15:17 PM
There are some things one did out of ignorance while some were been intentional about their actions because they only want to wicked others, but i think in your own case it's not your fault, even though if you asked someone to put his hands in the fire, he will have to decided by himself to do so or not, but this wasn't much your fault because you never exercise force is influencing your friend but he had also decided to go by your wrong advise.
2571  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: immune Boosters in the Forum on: December 24, 2022, 03:10:04 PM
Should Merits and signature campaign be the only cheer to have interest and feel satisfied with the forum alone, I've seen many members not having enough Merits and have been active on the forum, while some have also been very active and nit interested in participating in a signatory campaign, i think what needed to first define is your purpose for coming, this will now determines what you are after and how you can get it fulfilled, so don't tell me those not in a signature campaign or not having Merits got their immune weak on the forum by being timid or got inferior, but i think everyone likes the way he has found himself here since each user determines his fate all by himself here on bitcointalk.
2572  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be aware of Santa Bitcoin, stay ahead. on: December 24, 2022, 02:55:33 PM
For those always looking for freebies i think it's time to wise up and know that there's nothing free even in Freetown, there's alot of ongoing campaigns for free bitcoin by Santa Claus as Christmas present, lol if you will consider the genuity of this then you will discover how many people will be liable to apply and how many people can they afford to give, because in so doing, they will get some weak bitcoin enthusiast who are newbies to fall their victim as they unveil their vulnerable weak points through this, don't get carried away.
2573  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigeria Naira notes and its security features-- CBN on: December 23, 2022, 11:11:12 AM
To the best of my knowledge i believe the newly introduced notes have no much difference from the old ones than the change in colour, except if the kind of printing materials the paper nite is being printed upon is different from the former type like switching from the paper to polymer or the paper quality been slightly different from the old one by thickness, else there shouldn't be any difficulty in identifying the fake one from the original since it's just a change in colour and not the design or pattern.
2574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: December 23, 2022, 11:00:00 AM
Reportedly a few days ago, CZ also tweeted agreeing that El Salvador will become the richest country in the future

Even without him saying that we already Know things are going well with the adoption since the government can go to this far in making life simple for every of its citizens to enjoy bitcoin adoption without any instill of glitches round about, i was surprised that El-Savador has done this even to the educational level to bring up the young generation along together in this digital era, there's nothing as more helpful than educating the people about bitcoin.

but then he deleted that tweet, maybe he doesn't want to create an unworthy Fomo in the market.

But either being deleted or not the message has already been passed across to the world, bitcoin is the solution to changing status quo.

But I also just found an article: Tim Draper also believes that bitcoin will make El Salvador the richest country in the world.

the funniest thing is that not everyone that believe in El-Savador will be coming out public to say something, alot of them being silent but charming for El-Savador.

Will it be possible to use bitcoin as a payment and investment vehicle in Brazil soon?  In any case, this is allowed by the law previously approved by Congress, which was signed on December 22 by Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and 180 days after that it comes into force.

i wouldn't know if this tally with El-Savador's bitcoin adoption or any discussion related, i think there's another thread for Brazil.
2575  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why are you here? on: December 23, 2022, 10:30:27 AM
Coming to bitcointalk is most likely related to making having an urge to make enquiry about bitcoin and after several attempts and sites visited then you either concluded on coming here and landed here coincidentally but there must actually be a thing you're after to learn or seek attention for with you getting introduced to bitcoin, now here on the forum now depends how you also find it helpful and supportive, and this comes in with seeing members coming to stay while some left immediately they are attended to but it's such a community one will always love to interact and share ideas about bitcoin.
2576  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Qatar Footballl World Cup - People decided not to watch on: December 22, 2022, 03:01:09 PM
When you come across someone who already missed this year FIFA world cup match series then such person is not a football kind of person or isn't disposed to have time to watch, I've learnt about some occasions whereby when your country got knocked out that marks the end of your watching, but this have gone beyond ordinary watch, it a live entertaining event that put one into high expectations for a long anticipation.
2577  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Course for your Bitcoin Lesson | Babypips' School of Crypto on: December 22, 2022, 02:54:45 PM
Once it comes to learning the differences from bitcoin and cryptocurrency, there are many ways one can adopt and use in teaching and enlightnening people about them, every bitcoin is under cryptocurrency but not all cryptocurrencies are bitcoin which is the kore reason they were often refered to as altcoins, there are many materials that can be sourced from the internet or right from the forum here through the search function button, then one will also need more time to study and learn from boards discussions on the forum.
2578  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Figuring out the "actual" price of a token on: December 22, 2022, 02:33:30 PM
Expect variation in token price since you're getting bthem from a different platforms, same way applies to when you're buying them or selling, the reference price varies as well, it's now left for you to decide on the one that best suits your choice, this is something common to cryptocurrency at large, but we have some site where you can get the actual price like coinmarketcap, coingecko and so on, but it changes nothing about them than the price little variations.

2580  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people withdraw their generosity during crisis? on: December 21, 2022, 02:21:36 PM
As long as you're willing to help others in nned same are some set of people willing to take that help you want to reneer to themselves instead of giving it tothe specific target audience, if we must dig deep in many riches today, we will found out that alot of bad had been done to have amass wealth by most of the rich fellows, this is when you get the impression that some people are really giving and contributing to help others in need but those in charge are the ones making the crooked diversion to their own interest and pockets.
