2561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: March 28, 2022, 05:44:56 PM
It won't be an easy fight for the both of them just as Murata is young and a decent boxer while GGG is more older but he had more experience and IQ in the ring, that will be his advantage for this for this fight. But let's not talk about the age because that's not an issue in this fight because it's just a 4 year gap between the two boxers, so it's not going to be an advantage or disadvantage for the both side. Instead, we will see next month who will be more capable.

Murata's experience is not solid. And he is not young at 36. At that age, a boxer is considered as veteran age and almost close to retirement age. The only advantage of Murata in this fight is, he will fight in front of his home audience in Japan. It will boost his confidence that will trigger his determination to win the fight even the chances are low (green eyes in the anime series, Hajime No Ippo lol).

But on the serious side, GGG shouldn't have any problem fighting with Murata. He is way too weak compared to other boxers that GGG faced since he turned 35. The Canelo-GGG II if I'm not mistaken was done when GGG is 36. See the gap 4 years from now, his strength should still be at 40 years old.

Good point! Murata is no longer on his prime, same with GGG, stamina wise, it's not far between the two.

Like what you just mentioned, the only thing that we can say as advantage is fighting in front of your home crowd, but in
boxing it can be the opponent's advantage.

Being inspired that the crowd is against you will boost more inside of you. That determination to win and prove that
you are much better than the crowd is cheering with.

Exactly, what we have here now is just a pure and mere speculations but the difference is that we are basing it through some facts that have happened in previous years and we cannot deny that GGG have the higher hand in this fight considering his stamina, ring IQ, and especially the experience compared to the younger and inexperienced Murata who only have its strengths and advantage because the fight will happen in his own homeland. We can expect that it will really boost his confidence and determination to give a good fight but the chances will remain the same.
2562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 28, 2022, 05:19:46 PM
Btw he’s averaging 27.7 points with 5.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds. Those are very very solid numbers from a player in his weird situation.

That's his normal stats, that's why he is a superstar, but we are looking for his consistency in the game because they need that consistency in the play-in tournament to advance to the playoffs. Their ranking is not good as well, a supposed to be the number 1 team, now ranked number 9 and has to play the play-in tournament just to qualify the playoffs.

They are ranked number 9 now but they are still the favorite to win the ECF if I'm not mistaken.
Durant and Irving are going to be beast in the playoffs, plus, Simmons would be playing soon, it will only make the Nets a good team, so expect them to win.

Yes, they are one of the most favorite team to win in the ECF few months ago, but their situation have changed a bit now after the trade. Hopefully they can still dominate other teams because from their position now, a play-in tournament is almost inevitable for the team. Also, Simmons? That man still remains a mystery and hopefully he won't be a liability if he play soon.
2563  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: March 28, 2022, 12:23:02 PM
Or maybe it was Drake's plan after all to get the attention of Stake, I mean why would Drake suddenly posts his huge bet slips using stake as a platform on the last Super Bowl in Los Angeles and luckily he won. That surely catches the attention of Stake management and later on we received a news that they're in a partnership now. Whichever it is, yes it is a win-win situation and we will see more famous personalities joining the Stake family soon.

It's obvious that prior to Drake's huge betting, there's already cooking a partnership with Drake. It's intentional while at the same time, Drake will really put a bet on it regardless if there's a partnership or not. That partnership might be in progress and formed for months I believed and not instant.

We don't know the real story behind but there's no need to really know some facts about it. Let the partnership just push through. We just have to wait for some Stake x Drake-related promotions and see if it will be catchy in our eyes.

That's what I'm also thinking because I don't highly believe that their partnership was formed after Drake posted that certain bet slip and have won for over $1 Million, IIRC. The Stake has a really good set of eyes on finding it's celebrity/famous endorser and in this case, Drake is really a good choice as he can really give them that profit and attention they want so that those people will go to them.
2564  Other / Off-topic / Re: Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor on: March 28, 2022, 11:58:53 AM
That's the point, why would McGregor even bother fighting Jake Paul in the ring if he has no expertise on it. He's more famous and he shouldn't even bother himself to consider that fight even if we know that McGregor wouldn't say no to a good clean money. He should fight in the octagon professionally like what he used to do.

He may have fought on the ring once and it was against the undefeated Floyd Mayweather and it was clear that fighting in the ring is not for him.

If the price is right, McGregor might be willing again to take the fighting on the boxing ring. Besides, Jake Paul will have to burn fats to catch the required weight. It's hard to lose around 10lbs within just a few months and have to maintain it until the weigh-in. That's the advantage of McGregor as he's not the one who will adjust.

Reading the article, Jake Paul told Dana White that no more excuse and bring it on. Does it mean Jake Paul will fight on the Octagon? He's on a suicidal move here for the sake of money as even McGregor is now aging, he will be pulverized on the octagon.

Well, if the price is right then I don't doubt that McGregor will gladly accept that deal and fight him. But then again, fighting in the ring won't be suitable for him because in the long run his stamina won't catch up and eventually Jake Paul will have that advantage as we know that he'll just stall that time until McGregor is catching up his breath.

Really? Wow, that's interesting! Fighting McGregor on the octagon? That surely is a suicidal move for the sake of good money, I bet he won't go long because McGregor here will knock him out.
2565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 27, 2022, 07:35:22 PM
It would be much better for Kyrie Irving to stay at Nets. Because Kyrie Irving would start playing in home games at some point. And he is a very important part of this team now. He got some unbelievable performances in this season and I expect him to contribute to the team a lot in the playoffs too. I believe that Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are making a great duo now. I wouldn't like to see one of them leaving the team because it would lessen their strength a lot.

Well, he should really stay for the Nets for the next few seasons and just as @harizen have said, he already gave the Nets some few unforgettable troubles because of his beliefs and some tantrums that led the Nets to its situation now but the team have nothing to say to him but patience towards him of how he behaved, so it's quite fair if he will stay for some seasons.
2566  Other / Off-topic / Re: Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor on: March 27, 2022, 06:59:09 PM

Same here, this fight won't be happening. Jake Paul would be so lucky if he got himself a fight with the famous McGregor in his own field of expertise. Why not let Jake fight McGregor in octagon, that would be more interesting.

I don't think will agree he has no experience in wrestling, kicking, and submission his boxing skill is not enough to beat any good MMA fighter once Connor gets him on the floor it's over for him, he has zero grappling skill and it's more tiring in octagon than in the boxing ring but I do love to see him fight in the octagon, maybe he'll do that if there's big money than doing exhibition boxing.

That's the point, why would McGregor even bother fighting Jake Paul in the ring if he has no expertise on it. He's more famous and he shouldn't even bother himself to consider that fight even if we know that McGregor wouldn't say no to a good clean money. 2567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: March 27, 2022, 06:39:25 PM

That's right! Murata is still a threat on GGG's career even though there's a much more anticipated fight ahead of him which is the trilogy, even so he still needs to face Murata first and defeat him in-order to retain the hype of the fight that he is been calling for years now.

About Murata, I know that he is been really preparing for this fight because these are the fights that he has probably waited for years to have that one fight that will change his career and defeating GGG will be a good stepping stone for his career as it would really give him more opportunities in this industry.

What interests me on this fight is not how Murata will perform or his motivation but how GGG will handle himself going to this fight and the fight day, old age is catching up with him although I have not seen him slowing down on his last fight, every boxer's dilemma is their age and the body's reaction, the mind is still there but the body does not react to what the mind wants, it's not on Murata but if GGG still has it, if he still has it GGG can win this easily.

That's why this is going to be a very competitive fight as Murata is going to test GGG in this fight in every round. It will be obvious if age will catch up on GGG in this fight, he will be slow and then Murata winning the fight to someone thwart the possible trilogy with Canelo. So everything rest on the hands of GGG now, he better perform in this fight and show that he still has it and then set the fight with Canelo.
True. We know how good GGG is, he is a top boxer and known with a heavy hands that can cause damage to his opponent but its not certain if his performance before would still be the same now. If he defeat Murata then he can prove that he still got what it takes to be a top boxer and age is not a hindrance. However, its not going to be an easy fight since Murata is younger and a good boxer also. Lets just see who will dominate the ring.

2568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 27, 2022, 05:38:34 PM
My early pick here ===

Big game coming, 76ers vs Phoenix Suns. The number 1 in the East vs number 1 in the West.

For 76ERS, no injury report, so I'm taking the handicap which is +4.5.. and a little bit for the Moneyline as well.

Yes mate, had a tough time choosing earlier where to bet as this will be an intense game but sadly I have to go to the opposite direction, Phoenix Suns -5.0 .. Looking at their recent game, CP3 and Booker together with Bridges is quite enough to stop the 76ers win streak. Good luck to us! Grin

Additional bet: Lakers +3 and Nets -7
2569  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: March 27, 2022, 03:56:42 PM
In the case of Drake, they essentially targeted those who are wealthy or well-known, because drake put a large sum of money on the line, which is why he became more well-known. I agree that Stake is already well-known, but they still need to attract new customers in order to generate more revenue. To this end, most gambling sites are actively recruiting big-name endorsers because they have a large number of fans but i do still agree that some will fail though they do have big names behind their website.

From my point of view, Stake's partnership with Drake is not intentional or he has been targeted. Maybe there's a point that Drake was vocal playing at Stake, the platform got his attention and from there the rest is history. Regardless of where it all started, there shouldn't be an issue.

Of course, getting new users on the site is continuous and never-ending progress. While adding good features, a partnership can be considered and that's what Stake is doing. Adesanya, Drake, etc. I'm sure there will be more personalities that will join the board while Stake is moving forward.

Establishing a partnership does mean that the Stake is getting bigger and stronger.

It could be, or is it that they had some agreement beforehand or some kind of a test to prove that if Drake could become a good asset to them that is why Drake posted his bets out of the blue with the name of Stake involved. Lot of assumptions but we cannot confirm it because suddenly the two have already partnered and indeed it's win-win situation for the both party.
2570  Other / Off-topic / Re: Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor on: March 27, 2022, 02:55:12 PM
McGregor already have many loses even on a boxing, so his reputation is not that good anymore while Jake Paul is still working on his boxing experience with ZERO loss, so this one can add to his winning number if ever. I can’t see any excitement here because there’s no title at stake here and most probably McGregor will lose nothing here.

Exhibition matches don't need titles on the line, it's for entertainment only there's a possibility that this fight might happen, they have a survey for this if its profitability, they are not for titles they are for record and reputation and of course money Mcgregor is on two losing streaks and Paul is on winning streak, Mcgregor will only need this fight for money but if he wants to come back to winning streak he'll have to go for a guy who looks good but beatable like Cerrone.

Of course, this match will be because of the money. This may push thru if they see the demand and if there will be a good bidder that will satisfy their money requirements. After all, they don't need much work here inside the ring. Only ego will be in play here. Being 0 loss for Jake Paul may get him advantage when it comes to odds. But do you really think it is good to bet on them considering that it is only exhibition match? Anything can go sideways here. Let us see if they can good following for this potential exhibition match.

Exhibition match or professional match, of course, money is always involved. There are lots of failed negotiations in professional boxing when it seems it won't be profitable for the organizers. Let should accept the fact these guys are fighting for the money and even those professional boxers.

Who else won't fight for money? That's the profession, that's their career, that's their main source of income.

But I don't think this fight will end up successfully negotiated. They are both in a different environments and McGregor won't risk himself fighting in a boxing ring now that he's out of his prime already and boxing is not his main sports.

Exactly, let's not forget that boxing industry is also a business industry so of course money would be moving and that will always be the biggest factor why these boxers are trying hard to make their name famous in this industry because being famous comes with bigger fights that also comes with bigger paycut.

Brooklyn Nets' next home game will be tomorrow and we should expect Kyrie Irving playing on their homecourt.

It's good news for Brooklyn Nets now that playoffs are coming. But having Irving playing is not enough as their teammates should also adjust.

It's expected to see them swift the next games and they might have a chance to snatch the number six spot if they still continue winning like we see last night against the Heat. Their next game is against the Hornets and that too would be an easy game for them. In that case, they will gonna just need to keep winning to secure their playoff spot.

Irving also decided not to drift away from the Nets after his contract since he will not leave his man Kevin Durant to shine alone in the Team.

Yes, their next two games will be a much easier game for them as they will play against the Hornets and especially the Pistons, respectively. Particularly now that Irving is eligible to play every game and not just road games so their chances to get a playoff seat is much higher than before and they are just 2-3 games away from the 7th and 6th spot.
2572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 26, 2022, 08:54:53 PM
And we can all suspect as to who is behind the sudden sexual harassment filed by some lady in the Philippines against Casimero. And it's obvious that they wanted to distract Casimero in this fight and maybe hoping that he will lose.

I doubt there's a mastermind behind that lawsuit since WCPC (Women and Children Protection Desk) is a well-established branch of PNP (Philippine National Police). They are the one assisting individuals or families that is afraid to file a case against abuse. I don't see any involvement of other parties to that especially those in the boxing scene.

If Casimero is really innocent, that case can't be a distraction to him since he knows the truth and eventually the case will close. Looks like the case is now properly handled as no progress happened or been shown by the media since the case was filed last February.

I think it's not related to his upcoming fight, the timing is just bad, but as you said, if he is innocent, this should not distract him in his training.

Quote
Less than a month now before the fight, Casimero is surely now well-prepared.
I just trust him he is doing his job, all I have now is my mind is the excitement of seeing the old Casimero again that could knock out his opponent, if he does that in front of the crowd on Butler's home court, that would make a big news and most probably the discussion between Casimero and Inoue will be hype again.

Is the lawsuit against Casimero on the alleged rape is still not solved? I cannot see any updates about it on the internet, so hopefully they already solved it.

I agree, the incident was just a coincidence and it has nothing to do with his upcoming fight or his previous promoter. Also, Casimero shouldn't worry about that for now nor let that issue distract him in his preparation against Paul Butler. Anyways, if he is really innocent then there's nothing to worry about.
2573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 26, 2022, 07:26:19 PM
Goran Dragic and Seth Curry are coming back from injuries to play in todays Nets game against the Miami Heat. Miami has lost 3 straight and their frustration has been showing lately. Boiling over with Butler and Haslem going at each other on the sidelines during a game. They have have the better record but I think I’d take the Nets today. They’re playing hot and Miami is a mess. Still no Ben Simmons in the lineup but with the season winding down I think he needs to start making appearances on the court to get ready for the playoffs.

Same here, Miami Heat is sure a tough team to beat but the way the play recently was a kind of disorganized compared to the Nets who is really thirsty to win and get a secure spot in the playoffs season without getting themselves in the play-in tournament, they still have a chance and winning against the Heat today is a step they need to take.

The Nets have lost last time against the undermanned Grizzlies and that surely shocked them, so I really think they would gather all their strengths to win and bounce back from that defeat.
2574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 26, 2022, 06:52:19 PM
Miami Heat vs Brooklyn Nets.
It's interesting. Heat is now on their 3rd losing streak and doesn't badly need a win while the Nets do. But there could be that little push to prove they are on top of the East.
I'll go Brooklyn Nets -4.5.
Another interesting spread is the Memphis Grizzlies vs Milwaukee Bucks. I think they are going to rest their stars tonight that's why they are underdogs. Jrue Holiday is out, the other two stars are in probable status.
Grizzlies -3.5
Good luck.

I like the chances of the Nets against the Heat, Seth Curry is listed as probable so he might play in this game. The Nets is still trying to find their groove and win games in the regular season and they are just in the 8th spot.

So I will tail you on the Nets here.

I will also follow you guys on the Nets bet but at the time of this writing the Nets current spread is -1.0

I also have in mind that before the regular seasons ends they are already in the 6th or 7th spot especially now that Irving is allowed to play home so chances are high this time, but in this game they are the guest.
2575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 26, 2022, 05:36:29 PM
I totally agree, Garcia has all the advantage but who knows, maybe Tagoe will be on his best against Ryan and maybe put everything he have in this fight.
That's a huge upset if Tagoe would beat Garcia, and since Garcia has some kind of mental problem, a possible loss might make his problem gets bigger and could end his career. Sorry, my imagination is very negative, but I'm just thinking of a possible scenario here.

It's fine mate because what you were saying is really possible to happen in this fight, you know when a boxer has got some kind of mental problems especially if it was just happened recently then his opponent will really use that as their advantage, and for Tagoe here, it is highly possible that he will use Garcia's weakness to get in his head and upset him in-order to get a victory.

Although for me the chance are very slim for an upset, by still we really don't know if Garcia is fully healthy at this point. So this fight is very  important to him because it will give a positive impact and could trigger another run for Ryan.

In interview he has talk about a possible Loma fight (this will be good), and he still wants to fight Teo Lopez at 140 lbs. But if he is upset in this fight then it might take sometime for him to recover again. So its going to be 50/50.

Chances are still chances, and if Garcia's mental problems still remains up until the day of the fight that chances of upset will be high, as I said Tagoe will surely use that as his advantage to bait the young Garcia.

The kid must solve his mental problems first and that is his priority for now if he wants his career to prosper in the long run because if he won't take this seriously, then that mental problems will really hunt him especially if he lost to Tagoe.
2576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 OSCARS - Nominees, Odds and Predictions! on: March 26, 2022, 05:05:03 PM

Exactly mate! We have to accept that we have our own type of views that others don't share because of that facts that we have our own different choices and wants in every aspects of like including the movies. There are also times that we can meet some people that share the same view with us, but times like that are not too often. Let's just respect each other Smiley
Good to see some life in the forum and people talking too. One thing is for sure that movies bring in so much life in people's busy schedule.
Taking out sometime - sitting together with family and friends is always a fun. Even the boring movie becomes so thrilling that one feels excited that at least they spent some quality time with loved ones!

That surely depends on the movie if the whole squad or family likes it and not for the sake of bonding, I mean the movie will be much more interesting to see if the majority of the squad or family wants it so that a movie won't be boring to sit throughout.
2577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: March 26, 2022, 03:22:19 PM
@OP (mirakal) which this thread should be locked since it is not really that sensible on making up some discussions in related to this fight since it wont really happen.

Legendary boxer Mike Tyson won’t be stepping into the ring with social media star Jake Paul, a representative for the former champion told Forbes
https://www.forbes.com/sites/marisadellatto/2022/01/17/no-mike-tyson-is-not-fighting-jake-paul-representative-says/?sh=6efc7fd92cf7

It is finalized and concluded that he wont be fighting a social media star. Cool

I agree, this thread should be locked/closed for good because Iron Mike already said that he won't be returning in the ring anymore doing some fights, for good and I don't either doubt that Mike's decision will change somehow in the future especially his age are also increasing as time goes by.

Many people and fans have hoped to see the legendary boxer fighting once again the ring but sadly, he refused to do it.

I just saw a more recent interview with Mike where he didn't refuse to fight, he just named his price and said to leave him alone unless you have it ready to go up front.  His price you ask?  $1,000,000,000.00.  Basically, he's saying he won't do it, but you never know I guess.  Maybe Elon Musk will wake up and decide he wants to see Iron Mike knock out Jake Paul so he ponies up the billion.

It should be noted that Mike's comments were in relation to Jake Paul, not Logan.  It has been stated already quite a few times that the Logan Paul rumor was nothing more than talk on a podcast and that the two teams never discussed a fight.

Yes, @24Kt also gave us that same link where Mike said that his fee will be $1 Billion. Mike Tyson have said that enormous amount maybe because the hype is still clinging to him and the fans around the world wants him to see again in the ring even if it's just an exhibition match. Well, who knows maybe Elon Musk will suddenly pay that amount upfront because he is also a big fan of Mike Tyson.

Actually, Jake Paul is more challenging to see in the ring against the legendary rather than his older brother that doesn't know how to fight and who only knows how to milk everyone.

Not still bad for a stats but if he would completely lose on professional fights in a row then its just common sense that he would jump off into other
sports and simply make money with that. Its not actually that surprising anymore.

You should better look only on his stats during UFC career, as the level of his opponents is lower compared to UFC. He is 10-4 in UFC. Not bad, also consider that he would probably loose his next fight. But does not look to be called the greatest.

I think he would earn more with his name or future brand, then from any future fight in UFC. He has sold his share in Proper 12 whiskey for 600kk. That is more than he has earned during his fighting career.

His record is already just number. His achievement as former featherweight and lightweight double-champion what matter most especially the legacy he left in UFC during his prime. He is very good to on creating a a scene on all of his match for marketing purposes. Although he is known for being arrogant during pre fight, He is still good in terms fighting inside the Octagon, He is just too cocky sometimes that intentionally gives the enemy an opening just to taunt them which is the common reason why he lost on his matches.

That's what fans to see that why he keep portraying that role to become more interesting to fans and can able to sell his fight but its undeniable that he's really good which give huge respect on the sports he in.

But for seeing those offers given to him provably he will grab it knowing that he's career is on sunset and that is his chance to grab another huge money before he will not get any fights in future.

Indeed he is good at it and the way he markets every fight, the people are really biting it. That's also why Dana White is always happy when he got some fights because it also means an easy money for him but at the same time he's also anxious because McGregor is really unpredictable.

Getting a fight with Jake Paul is not a bad idea because that's a good chance to warm himself up while making good money before he gets a professional fight in UFC with the high risk of losing. After all like you guys said, his career is on a sunset now.
2579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 24, 2022, 06:41:08 PM
We've seen 4 players scored 20+ or more in the Warriors showing that they can still be a deadly team without their core players.
It's their system that gave them the win, when the star players are not playing, there's no star player in the court and anyone could shoot the ball so the ball movement is very efficient leading to more open shots. Or, my theory is the Heat may not play it seriously as they are too overconfident they could beat the short-handed Warriors.

Yeah maybe the Heat just got too confident that resulted a defeat on their side, later on there was a little confrontation happened on Heat's side. The Warriors closed the game with 14 point lead and I think nobody have saw that coming since the Warriors now are currently undermanned but they proved that they can still handle top heavy teams like the Heat and finish the game in their favor.
