On April 26, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and 25 local clergy called for peace.

Rawlings-Blake held a press conference in which she admitted to asking the police to give people a space to "destroy," noted Fusion.net (video below).

Rawlings-Blake stated:

"And I've made it very clear that I worked with the police and instructed them to do everything that they could to make sure that the protesters were able to exercise their right to free speech. It's a very delicate balancing act because while we try to make sure that they were protected from the cars, and the other things that were going on, we also gave those who wish to destroy, space to do that as well. And we work very hard to keep that balance, and to put ourselves in the best position to de-escalate and that's what you saw."

Clearly the mayor is a sympathizer to those in the streets and has kept the police in check. If you're watching news footage of the events unfolding you'll see the police lined up blocks away in front of the peaceful protest that is taking place at the junction where the CVS building was looted and burned earlier and the miscreant hoodlums are down the street looting other building and causing mayhem knowing the police are occupied a half mile away. just sayin. Democratic, urban areas are so pleasant do business and be happy in. Angry
2583  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Baltimore burns. Why? on: April 27, 2015, 11:54:56 PM
Today and last night is the result of the police mishandling someone they arrested, not getting them immediate medical help, then the due dying. Predictably, many people around the area w/ the same skin color act as though they knew the guy and start doing their usual protesting that inevitably gets taken over by the small and feeble minded, in this case the ghettoheads. The police screwed up but this kind of 'protesting' needs to be rooted out by the respectable members of the neighborhood.

entire offer list for bitcoin swap

if someone is going force a short squeeze you cant ask for a better time as there is almost no extra bitcoin to borrow

total amount % DAILY length
Can I get a link to that because the swap offers I'm seeing are way lower.

0.5% would just be crazy, that's nearly 200% return annually. bitfinex is at 0.07% right now.
That's what I'm thinking but I'm not doubting what camolist posted. But boy, this place died very quickly.

Rand was on Fox and Friends this morning talking about the ongoing Hillary donor dilemma and he also got mentioned on an evening Fox show about this conversation. Really helps his image among republicans as being one of the leaders on this Hillary ordeal.

Gravis Poll: Rand Paul at 15% in NH

Bush 18%
Walker 16%
Paul 15%
Rubio 11%
Cruz 10%
Christie 5%
Carson 4%
Huckabee 3%
Fiorina 3%
Santorum 1%

"Paul leads Clinton 45 percent to 44 percent, he said. “The Kentucky senator beats Clinton among Catholics, 47 percent to 42 percent; among Evangelical Protestants, 72 percent to 22 percent.”

Men support Paul, 51 percent to 40 percent, but Clinton leads Paul among women, 47 percent to 43 percent, Kaplan said. “The numbers are a lot closer among women for Paul against Clinton than for other candidates.”

"“The Wisconsin governor and Bush still lead the pack in New Hampshire, as we have seen in other states,” Kaplan said. “Paul’s strength was dormant, and we have been waiting for his numbers to reflect both the time he is spending in the Granite State and the popularity of his father, the Texas former congressman Ron Paul.”"

"The poll has a margin of error of ± 4% for the Republican Primary..."

I'd be surprised if those got filled as there are plenty more offers that have a zero between the decimal and the number. Even then, these are respectable swap offer as they've been down a third or more recently.

those are filled loans

the absolute cheapest bitcoin to borrow right now is 0.5498%    daily
That's interesting considering I'm looking at offers of .03-.07 and beyond right now which is why I mentioned it. If that's been the typical offer ranges that I'm seeing, how are the much higher being filled/taken?
2589  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 27, 2015, 11:19:24 PM
Great rise but looks very fishy. Maybe big fraud with stolen $ at btc-e? Some big whale account hacked etc.?
I wish we'll know the reason of this rocket:-D

All that matters is if a few k more coins are bought on finex then shorts will begin to capitulate, if that happens in an uncontrolled manner then the college kids shorting bitcoin will learn a valuable lesson about leverage Smiley
I just had one of my swap contracts end a few weeks early so one of my "clients" just went bust today.

Next Wave of GOP Presidential Candidates: Carson, Fiorina, Huckabee

The next wave of what is expected to be a very crowded 2016 GOP presidential candidate pool is set to crash next week as Dr. Ben Carson, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee are all expected to officially jump into the race.

Carson, a political commentator and retired neurosurgeon, is expected to make his presidential bid official on Monday, May 4, in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan.

Carson recently took a jab at Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential candidate, for the new revelations from the book Clinton Cash, which is exposing new information about foreign donors to her foundation.

“It is my strong belief that not only should they definitely give back the money and cease accepting foreign donations, but should also make every effort to find missing documents that would shed light if in fact they are innocent,” Carson said.

Also on Monday, May 4, Fiorina is expected to launch her official campaign via Twitter–as Breitbart News has previously reported–followed by a conference call with national reporters, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Like Carson, Fiorina has been outspoken against Clinton.

“Because I am a woman, there are many things she can’t say,” Fiorina said. “She can’t play the gender card. She can’t talk about being the first woman president. She can’t talk about the war on women.”

Huckabee, a former Fox News host, is set to announce his run for president the day after Fiorina and Carson. He will make his official announcement from Hope, Arkansas, on Tuesday May 5.

Charity watchdog: Clinton Foundation a ‘slush fund’

The Clinton Foundation’s finances are so messy that the nation’s most influential charity watchdog put it on its “watch list” of problematic nonprofits last month.

The Clinton family’s mega-charity took in more than $140 million in grants and pledges in 2013 but spent just $9 million on direct aid.

The group spent the bulk of its windfall on administration, travel, and salaries and bonuses, with the fattest payouts going to family friends.

On its 2013 tax forms, the most recent available, the foundation claimed it spent $30 million on payroll and employee benefits; $8.7 million in rent and office expenses; $9.2 million on “conferences, conventions and meetings”; $8 million on fundraising; and nearly $8.5 million on travel. None of the Clintons is on the payroll, but they do enjoy first-class flights paid for by the foundation.

In all, the group reported $84.6 million in “functional expenses” on its 2013 tax return and had more than $64 million left over — money the organization has said represents pledges rather than actual cash on hand.

Some of the tens of millions in administrative costs finance more than 2,000 employees, including aid workers and health professionals around the world.

But that’s still far below the 75 percent rate of spending that nonprofit experts say a good charity should spend on its mission.

Peter Schweizer Appears on ABC's This Week with George Stephanopoulos to Discuss CLINTON CASH

https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=11&v=8hc6ESwRf8c

The best part was afterwards when they had on the Clinton defense team in one, Donna Brazile, who's a former strategist for them back during Bill's reign in the 90s. She was just in a tizzy trying to obfuscate the facts. The Clintons are smart and they knew the way they were going to play this before they even started when she became SOS. Bill took similar money from the Chinese and Asian conglomerates back during his presidency and then had one of his Chinese pointmen as the head of the Commerce department granting export waivers on sensitive communication and advanced weapons systems which allowed them to flow over to China to help upgrade their satellite and missile technology - which was a major case for bribery and treason that should've been his demise during the impeachment. Instead, the so-called independent counsel just went after him for perjury and obstruction of justice that carried no meaningful penalties. This will ultimately be the extent of any punishment, or slap on the hand, that Hillary may get, not what she deserves. It's obviously serious or you wouldn't have democratic operatives nervous or concerned about it.

Rand Paul Lauded by R & B Singer John Legend for His Criminal Justice Work

In a story from the May 7 issue of Rolling Stone that I was unable to find online, R&B singer John Legend talks of his attempt to "spotlight the staggering rise in the jailed population," as the story puts it.

Legend, the story says, "hopes that prison reform can be a bipartisan issue. 'Rand Paul has been talking about it, and we hope this is something that Hillary embraces as well.'"

Keep hoping, Mr. Legend!

This is at least the second time this year that Rolling Stone has singled out Paul for praise above Hillary on an issue of presumed concern to their audience, having previously done so on marijuana issues.

2598  Economy / Speculation / Re: Support is holding! on: April 27, 2015, 03:52:30 AM
I drew some lines on my chart last night, and I still feel pretty good that support is holding. We barely broke below $215 which has been holding for a while, next stop after that is ~$190. I did make a decent size purchase on Monday so it sucks to watch the price fall, but I'm in it for the long haul gathering all the low hanging fruit while I can.

Yeah, $215 was the base price for the "surprise breakout" back in February, when the price suddenly decided to go up without any apparent reason. This is the last support line until high/medium $1xxs, which actually is really scare, if you ask me. I'm surprised though, that the bears aren't getting this over with even faster!

Yes!  Surprise breakout coming.  Time to buy...
Currently watching and will consider whether you go on ignore, permanently. You're running a fine line as of your latest posts. That's right I said it.
2599  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 27, 2015, 03:43:06 AM
Massive support at 218-200, good time to buy if you still got fiat.. Also a Grexit is getting more and more likely, if this will happen it would be a big boost for Bitcoin.

Do you really reckon that's going to happen? I think the EU leaders will do everything in their power to avoid than scenario. Also, even Greece doesn't really want to get out of the Euro zone. Even if they left, they can't just decide to break off of the world economy. It they don't do their best to get their economy back on track, they'll be getting themselves into serious trouble, I guess...
If even a small percentage of Greeks' wealth or whatever is left of it is converted to bitcoin, then that will be noted quite well in a march upwards in price. They aren't going to buy off the grid but on exchange.
This could be an epic front run.
