2581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 0.05 Ether tx fee, is ethereum going mad? on: May 11, 2021, 08:24:10 AM
Personally, I think it's not too important, just the game is still not ready for the masses and not everyone will accept such fees for their transactions. You can just wait until the gas is low or you will have to accept metrics for your transactions.
No one in the masses will accept to pay this high gas fees, transactions with Ethereum now are for the rich people alone, cause the average man in the society won't accept to pay $20+ just to carry out one transaction, the current eth isn't ready for everyone to use, maybe the ETH 2.0 will be okay, but who knows till then.
2582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid using LATOKEN and Cointiger to buy any altcoins. on: May 11, 2021, 07:50:11 AM
Latoken have had so many bad reviews on this forum, I have seen several complains in this forum and the best thing one can do is to avoid trading or sending funds to this exchange, small exchanges have so many defects, that's why using big exchanges are alot more better as you won't be having any issues such as this, I make use of Binance, kucoin etc I avoid small exchanges.
2583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Or Invest ? on: May 11, 2021, 07:24:25 AM
When the altcoin price was experiencing a positive change I was confused ... whether to invest or trade directly ..
your advice is advice to me .. thank you
Investing deals with buying of a coin and holding for longterm, most times it's about buying at the private sales, public sales, IDO or during an IEO or maybe spotting a gem already trading in the market, then you invest and hold for a long-term.

For trading you have to actively spend time watching the market chart, and concentrate on buying low and selling at a higher price, trading is alot more stressful and risky than investing, that's why I would advice you to invest rather than trade.
2584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you get mad when the price of your cryptos go higher after you have sold on: May 11, 2021, 07:10:42 AM
I have been investing in cryptos for some years now and i always have to fight a battle with myself whenever i sell some of my cryptos or close my positions in a trade and the price continues to go higher.

Sometimes i regret selling, while sometimes i just try not to look at the particular crypto anymore to avoid having regrets.

Do you also encounter this? And how do you deal with it?
I have been in your shoes and have had this experience over and over again, after selling my holding the coin will start mooning and I feel really bad about it, but it's just how it's always going to be, we can't keep holding forever someday we would likely dump our holdings and take profit when we see one, so whenever I sell my holdings, I just move on and look for another gem to invest in rather than look back and regret.
2585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum on the rise: Sell or HODL? on: May 07, 2021, 10:52:46 PM
Ethereum has been pumping as hell since the last dip, indeed it has a really bright ahead and  I think selling now would be a really bad decision, cause it rose to $3.5k even without the Ethereum 2.0 been launched, just wondering how much Ethereum will be worth when the eth2.0 is been released, it's going to be massive we might see Ethereum go x2 of the current price right now, so hodling will be better.
2586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you set stop loss for long term gem? on: May 06, 2021, 11:16:00 PM
I want to ask for some long term hodler or altcoin gem hunter there.

Are you considering having a stop loss for every altcoin you bought for long term?

Like for example. You buy this coin x at $3 but the price dumped, and just like trading, do you still put stop loss or cut loss?
Like you will sell the coin once the price reach $1?

Most likely, I don't put. Majority of the time, I mean. It's a position that I want to keep for a long time so there won't be any stop loss in case it down and when it eventually goes down, I will just buy more and lower price and keep doing so until I can't do it again.
Upon reading all the posts above. It seems like you guys are very positive for your long-term gems like you don't consider any downsides or negatives, or anything that will happen in the future. Well, it's all your choice, which is good also since you are believing with yourself, self instincts and own researchs.

It's called a long term gem/altcoin for a reason. That includes holding it for an extensive amount of time regardless of the direction that the market heads to. If it goes down, you just continue to still buy more and hodl for the long term.
2587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Incorporating BTC the way forward for most companies? on: May 06, 2021, 10:33:45 PM
Tesla’s first quarter earnings report released on Monday showed that the company sold off 10 per cent of its Bitcoin holdings. It made $272m in proceeds and $101m in profit from Bitcoin.

The car maker made more money from Bitcoin than car sales. Tesla’s profits hit $438m with nearly a quarter of that earning coming in Bitcoin sale.- "punch"

Seeing how much they were able to make from that bitcoin sell, I'm expecting tesla to go big again soon and add more bitcoin to their portfolio. Also, when other firms and companies see how much tesla made from their investments in bitcoin, they would readily follow suit in order to get a piece of the hot crypto cake. Only problem is that they would all be only after the gains they would make and nothing more. What we wanted for Bitcoin but with a different motive rather than adopting it as the de facto payment method.
2588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Crypto be more valuable than gold? on: May 06, 2021, 10:31:58 PM
I have thought that one key advantage crypto (bitcoin, litecoin, Dash, monero etc.) has over gold is that its supply level is fixed and transparent, but can this or features make crypto more valuable than gold?
It's not just about the supply been fixed, Cryptocurrency is revolutionary and I believe some day it will likely flips gold's marketcap, its very possible because the entire crypto market just surpassed 2 trillion dollars a few days ago, and it still growing everyday, I believe in no time we will get to golds marketcap, it's time to do away with the old system of finance, cryptocurrency will change the world as we know it.
2589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Cardano overthrow Ethereum? on: May 06, 2021, 10:21:20 PM
I know Cardano creator is one of Eth devs, but Ethereum is far off cardano in terms of market cap and popularity, ada is still growing I remember it was among the top 3 coins in the market at one point in time, it was competing with bnb for the third place  but now bnb has grown far more than it and has been able to maintain the third position while ada still dropped more, I don't think ada can still takes Ethereum's place in coin ranking.
2590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My feelings after 11 years with crypto. on: May 06, 2021, 09:48:18 PM
You are not alone.  I have heard similar stories from others. They sold their BTC too early. I also have a story of 7 years of cryptocurrency. I have used BTC as a payment method a lot of the time and I caught some BTC, which was earned from buying / selling digital products.  However, I spent BTC at that time. I could have made a lot of money if I had kept BTC.

This happens to the lot of us especially those who had enough crypto at some point but spent it between that 2017 high to 2018 peak prices. But there's one thing I like about crypto. It's that, there are always opportunities that would come even though it doesn't come now, it would come in the future and we have to be ready when that happens. My own is that, I had a few ICO tokens that were doing well and my expectations was that that bull market run would continue so I decided to let my bags run longer. It sunk, badly. I felt terrible for like 2 years but I'm ready to take on more opportunities as they come.
2591  Other / Archival / Re: Everyone is following the same strategy on: May 05, 2021, 10:41:04 PM
About a few months ago, I learned some Japanese candlesticks for cryptocurrency trading. And there are some shapes when they happen that mean that there is a rise, ie: Buy. And some forms when they occur mean that there is a fall in the currency, ie: sell or hold. In the first case, you will buy, and if "everyone wants to profit" and everyone of course knows the rise, who is the dumb who will sell you this? In the second case, you want to sell, and also "everyone does not want to lose". Who is the dumb who would buy this from you? And with this logic, what are these shapes?

There is always something that happens naturally on a regular basis and causes regular results, but something happens based on "people's minds" (buy / sell), ie: it is erratic. So how will the results be regular (up / down)?

That is true. Charting with Candlesticks and other chart patterns are literally textbook examples and everyone has been following it for a long time. So much time these patterns can change into becoming self-fulfilling prophecies since many people take time to understand and apply it well enough. All traders that I know of will just are on the lookout all of thr time for either those candlesticks ones or the full chart pattern. These are self-fulfilling prophecies that work most of the tume. Anytime a patten suffices, if it is a bullish one, people buy instead of selling.
2592  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading base on market sessions on: May 05, 2021, 10:27:51 PM
I don't know much about market sessions which is one reason why I don't considerit before making trades. I used to think these market sections are only effective in forex markets and not crypto too but I do know that there are much more bigger market movements whenever the Asians wake up or their market session officially starts. But thanks for pointing out some bad days for trafung. I agree with you because I've seen this happen first hand on multiple occasions. Market usually get a deep turn to the bottom whenever it gets to a week and especially on Sundays.
2593  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: my trading is a fail help me, thanks on: May 05, 2021, 09:50:52 PM
The main thing to learn is technical analysis and also study indicators. This step by step will provide education that trading is not your way to get rich in a short time. By studying technical and trying on a demo account you will have experience how to analyze the market. besides that you also have more money, I suggest taking classes to be able to learn with mentors who are experts

There are other options for practicing trading aside from using demo. Paper trading is one of such options. But I do not recommend dwelling on these practice methods for a long time because until you start putting real money ob the line, you won't take your trades too seriously because you'll always be like "I have nothing to lose on this trade" and it shouldn't be that way. Of course, learning technical analysis is the best way to succeed as trader regardless of the market trend at any point in time. A small note on demo trading... It should be completely uo to the trader. Most traders that I know of didn't use any of the two yet they're still successful traders.
2594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trillion dollar DOGE on: May 05, 2021, 11:40:33 AM
None of us thought Dogecoin could get where it is.
Looking at it now, I think they could push this anywhere.
$10 - $15 even
Trillion dollar marketcap?  Sure, why not.
I never thought dogecoin was ever going to be worth even 10 cents , I know they are so many of us out there who sold their dogecoins at a very low price  Cry, I remember changing 15,000Sats to dogecoin and I had thousands of dogecoin, but I sold them out early, now I believe they would be worth thousands of dollars, the crypto space is a strange place anything can happen, any coin can pump for no reason, dogecoin is closing in on $1 and its going to get there soon, I can't say for $10 maybe it might get there in the future.
2595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Dogecoin overpriced? on: May 05, 2021, 11:25:09 AM
For a coin that doesn't have a capped max supply? Dogecoin is overpriced in my opinion, but people no longer care about the max supply of dogecoin or the circulating supply, their only concern now is how to buy dogecoin now and wait for Elon  to make a dogecoin meme tweet so that the prices will starts pumping , then they sell at a higher price than what they bought and make profit from it, that's what matters most to everyone now, just make profit from holding dogecoin.
2596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Have you given up on airdrop? on: May 05, 2021, 10:36:55 AM
i participated in a lot of airdrops and i got a lot of coins some of them are shitcoins, i got 0.1 ethereum by holding boldman capital BOLD coins, which i got through airdrops, i got some valuable coins and also shitcoins
It can be concluded that the coins from the Airdrop program are mostly shitcoin and if there is anything valuable it will not be given in large quantities, so why waste precious time on all those Airdrop programs.
It's true 98% of all airdrop coins always turn out to be shitcoins and they are create by scammers, who are take advantage of the publicity the airdrop brings and start selling the shitcoins to investors, but even at that airdrops are still something worth trying out you could fail 100times and get just 1 right, have seen airdrop that pay hugely, so we just have to keep trying till we get one good airdrop.
2597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin high fee has brought dogecoin to limelight on: May 02, 2021, 01:44:36 PM
Apart from Elon musk hyping dogecoin these past months that got price hanging at $0.05 now the price has gone skyrocket. The skyrocket price of doge I believe is becayof the high fees of bitcoin transaction.

Dogecoin is proving to be a more optional coin to bitcoin and that is undoubtedly pushing price high and for the first time dogecoin has made a return to faithful hodlers. Grin Roll Eyes
I don't think dogecoin pump is connected to bitcoin high gas fees, the only coin I know about that came into existence due to bitcoin slow confirmation was Litecoin apart from it I don't know any other coin that pumped or was recognized because of any defect in bitcoin, from my research the pump in dogecoin price is highly sponsored by Elon Musk tweets and his humble followers who buy doge thinking its a financial advise, apart from that nothing else.
2598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: taking profit can be hard sometimes. on: May 02, 2021, 01:34:47 PM
some traders and investors find it hard to take profit even after making good profit on investment. this can be as a result of aiming to sell at a desired price that is higher or hoping to hold the tokens for more longer time.  its not everyone that can do this patiently and some usually regret their actions. the secret is to make decision and stand by it and also be satisfied by little profits , take out your investments and some little profits and then leave the rest for long term.

kindly share your ideas that might be helpful to solving this issue.
Greed is the reason why taking profits is really hard for alot of people, it's human nature to always want more, that's why you see people holding onto a coin for too long even after getting their target profit, only the disciplined traders or investors don't hesitate to cash out of the market when they have had enough profits, so the solution to this is simple, just learn to be satisfied with whatever profit you make from a coin, it doesn't always has to be 100x before you thinking of taking profit.
2599  Economy / Speculation / Re: The next Bitcoin manipulation prediction on: May 01, 2021, 12:12:12 AM
Bitcoin had undergone a massive price manipulation last week. When will be the next Bitcoin price manipulation? Do you have any ideas?

Price correction shouldn't be counted as market manipulation. Bitcoin has been on an upwards trajectory for like the whole of 2021 and just some hours where the price goes down to provide us with some good opportunities to buy and fill our bank. Some crypto newbies usually panic and sell their cryptos at every dip but that is not how it's supposed to be. Dips are helpful to maintain a healthy bull run.

Probably this May is the reality of what has been expected, and  I don't think manipulation exist here. But the most important thing to see here is the actual market trend that goes along the way. We should embrace every moment that's going to exist by the time price would spike so fast, then fall might go down quickly once there's a minor changes.

Price increase and decrease are all market mechanics. You cannot have constant price increase without some momentary price drops/dip so from time to time.
2600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there so many negative posts about BTC lately? on: April 30, 2021, 11:51:24 PM
Spreading out negative information about bitcoin really will not do so much harm, rather it will help spread the name even further. For something to really gain popularity, it requires both positive and negative news, because truth is some people who always want to be in a position to tell their friends "I told you so" only pay attention to things when the news as regards it is negative.

I see no reason why altcoin users should have anything against bitcoin, because buying/owning btc does not stop or hinder me from doing the same with another altcoin say doge. There's really enough space in the crypto world for any cryptocurrency even apart from Bitcoin, to fly.

I have a friend who always say that "no press is bad press". Even as these people are heavily spreading negative news about Bitcoin with high hopes to sink the price, it hasn't done much so far and bitcoin is still on track to reclaim the most recent all time high. It's bot the first time an altcoin project has tried to pull a fast one on bitcoin to claim the #1 spot. Ethereum tried it in 2017 as well as XRP in the same here. Both ended up failing at their attempts. Doge fanboys should enjoy their bit because this altseason might change soon in the future.
