2582  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I mine from my pc? on: April 18, 2020, 02:29:44 PM
And also, is it beneficial? I'm talking about scraping from transaction fees.

It seems like you are getting really pump here in the forum @BlackHatCoiner  Cool.

Yes, you could mine in your pc, I guess not recommended at this moment since you need something more powerful to mine a good amount and actually earning a profit. I've tried several attempts in mining altcoins and it actually works but the profit would not be worth it considering you are risking your hardware in mining and also electricity bill would also be a big factor. There were just too many miners and even companies.

If you could invest in mining hardware you might have a better chance of earning profit.

2584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Americans - will you spend your $1200 on BTC? on: April 17, 2020, 04:58:16 PM

So, no free soup 1200$ check for you.! That's why!  Grin

Come to think of it, that amout is good enough to cover around 3 months of housing rental. You got any stimulus package from your government, assuming you're not from the land of guns and hamburgers?

Yeah, there would be a better way to earn a profit that just investing in Bitcoin surely having a small business would I think a good way and I guess less risky than investing in bitcoin.

If you already have knowledge in bitcoin or cryptocurrency and know when would be the right time to invest in bitcoin surely investing in bitcoin is a good choice for you.
2585  Other / Meta / Re: Dear Forum Administration, Merit Question on: April 17, 2020, 04:15:56 PM
Each time I am not logged in and I receive merits, I always have this thoughts in my head:

"where, where, who sent me merit, where, who, who...oh, here, why, why now, why"

Why do we have to be logged in to find out who sent us merits? I mean, we can go to https://bpip.org and find merited post, but can this be somehow implemented in forum, for "guests" I mean...?

Same, we don't really receive a lot of merits daily so getting a few would make you curious who give it and what post. A simple notification would be great to have.

I also have the same thought. It really gives a little excitement which causes curiosity to know who is that person appreciated your post.

When I received merit from other user, I am notified by the telegram bot made by giammangiato and I will go to my Profile => Merit to see who sent the merit. I don't see any other method aside from manually viewing it to your profile and to https://bpip.org.
I don't know about this Thanks for the tips I would love to try this.
2586  Other / Meta / Re: I created the Bitcointalk Stats Live Counter on: April 17, 2020, 09:29:40 AM
It looks like you're using data from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=stats, but is this page still updated?
I thought the same, but it looks like only the "forum History" tab isn't updated anymore. But I keep refreshing the page and the number of total posts, topics and users online keep changing, so I guess those are still updated?
His work is always updating every second, (total post, total members, total topics, and members online is changes every second) so I guess it is updated right?

Anyway Nice work! @BlackHatCoiner, It's not really essential but it's nice to have it here it could also it useful for some reasons Wink
2587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is the best to earn more? airdrop or bounty? on: April 16, 2020, 03:22:15 PM
How much you can earn in airdrop and bounty? Which is the fastest way in earning?
For sure bounty would give you a better reward than airdrop but it really depend in the token itself, there are a lot of bounties that don't give reward to the bounty hunters the project that failed to earn funds or get investors probably would not give reward to bounty hunters and just stop the bounty itself, so that point a 20$ airdrop for sure would be more worth it that a bounty that earns you nothing. Still, the bounty could earn you hundreds of dollars in just 1 project but always have the risk of a failed project.
2588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: April 16, 2020, 03:15:27 PM
People around the world now are crying for help and this is not the Government,Employers nor Employees fault this is a Crisis and everyone should bare with this,we need to at least tighten our Belts for a while.

we must not live like what our normal ways because this will not save us from Hell.let us just spend smaller than half of our usual days.
the problem is People tend to just ask for help but don't just help their self.

But of course we Know casinos that has a tons of money inside and it is simple for them to help thousand employees if they want.
Yeah most of the time we just spend our money daily we just have a bad habit of spending our money and have the thinking that we are still going to earn soon and not even considering to invest or save money for the future, and then crisis like this a pandemic virus arrived so were like no jobs and earnings at all now you're asking for a salary because you don't even save for this moment.

I'm not saying all of them are irresponsible there are still people that just no saving because they have children or family. For sure the casino might consider giving help but for sure that would not be enough to sustain them.

Kung iisang tao lang gumamit ng 51 accounts I dont know how they/he handle it. To be honest, I'm disappointed sa excused ni @Polar91, damay kasi tayong lahat doon mga Pilipino.

Which clearly stated in my rules no alt accounts.
Unexpected na nasa 51 accounts (which is too far)ang alts niya.

Not sure if this incident is what caused this another issue (posted two days after), who knows.
But, I have a feeling it is somewhat connected.

https://www.amazon.com/Bitcoin-Standard-Decentralized-Alternative-Central/dp/1119473861
The Bitcoin Standard: The Decentralized Alternative to Central Banking

From the reviews I've read that it's too good. It generally talks about value, not only about bitcoin. Has anyone read it here?
I would say reading books about bitcoin is strongly recommended just like what they say knowledge is power, but personally I don't really like reading books and I could sure I'm pretty knowledgeable in bitcoin or trading, etc. with that I could say that having this book is not required to join the bitcoin community or cryptocurrency but what is sure is you are going to get a lot form that book.

Have you read the most classic bitcoin books first?
Mastering Bitcoin and Internet of Money are the most popular bitcoin books out there, and they are very good. You can read mastering bitcoin for free here:
https://github.com/bitcoinbook/bitcoinbook
I guess reading online was also a good option since you don't really need to buy or put money in it. But if your a book person or someone that can concentrate more if he reading a book I guess buying the book is better.

2596  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Halving 2020 and Altcoins on: April 14, 2020, 02:35:32 PM
Hey members,

Wanna hear your thoughts about the upcoming BTC halving we will all see soon and the reflection it will have in both the BTC price and adoption, but also the major Altcoins.

Happy to hear ideas and speculations

Thanks

Looking at the past bitcoin halving I guess a lot of us are expecting a positive effect on the market price of bitcoin.

For sure miners at going to get affected a lot of this event but thinking about it surely when the market price increases it might just be the same since it become harder to mine bitcoin and then the market price would increase also. Still, we cannot expect it already there are still a lot of things that could happen in the market price so we better be prepared either way we cannot predict accurately what could happen it might dump in the first week and increases after a month we just don't know.
2597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing 1$ every day in bitcoin over the last five years on: April 14, 2020, 12:15:37 PM
No matter how small the value of money that we invest to buy bitcoin, will be worth in the future. So I totally agree investing $ 1 in bitcoin
can generate large profits. Even if we invest as much as $ 0.5, it can be very meaningful, so from now on start investing on bitcoin. This is
one of the easiest ways you can become rich, prove yourself if you don't believe.
Not totally in the future just need to sell it in the right time, it's already few years since the last ATH of bitcoin and we still cannot reach the ATH of bitcoin or surpass it meaning investing in bitcoin for long term investment doesn't mean it is surely going to be a big profit to every investor I believed the right term to use is selling your bitcoin in the right time. Also, we cannot predict the highest market price possible before it undergoes a dump in the market so I would say the investment was just a gamble to everybody. Buying 1$ could give profit but more profit if you buy a big volume in a dump price.

Opt1.
Trade with Binance using BTC, BNB, XLM, ETH.

Opt2.
Deposit on freebitco.in and let it just sit there while playing their faucet.  Smiley

Opt3.
Be a Lender here on Forum.

Opt4.
Invest on Merchs.
Sell Crypto Products Online.

Opt5. (Just an Option, but I really don't suggest it)
Invest on New Altcoin Projects.

2599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the difference between Online and Physical casinos? on: April 13, 2020, 06:39:02 PM
This question pop out on my mind after I watch a video of Poker tournament on a physical casino, I guess playing physically really have some difference, we can consider the pressure from the crowd and of course, your opponent himself. There are so many factors to consider while playing online you can relax and think carefully. That Video I watch, the opponent is being bluffed by going all-in with 0 to 100 odds in favor of his opponent but his opponent fold because of the pressure. I am not playing on physical casinos, I want to know what is your experiences about this guys, not only poker but including other games?

Surely I guess at this moment of the pandemic disease online casino is clearly have its advantage and reliability since it would be better to use it and safer than going to a physical casino, either way for sure casino today are close since governments are having their safety measures avoiding events or large crowds since it might have the risk of coronavirus.

When it comes to the game itself it was pretty much the same even the rules and but it might not be fair when it comes to luck since the luck online could be manipulated through the codes or script use.

2600  Other / Politics & Society / Re: GLOBAL PANDEMIC - BLESSING IN DISGUISE on: April 13, 2020, 12:56:17 PM
The truth of the matter is this global pandemic is really changing lives and changing nations. Things that we gave little attention to like regular washing of hand, the use of sanitizers and social distancing is now a must. Some of our leaders are now building huge facilities to curb down the situation. The most important thing is when everything calms down the  world is going to view the digital currency in a different spectacle which cryptocurency is going to be a great beneficiary. Lets calm down and stay safe since we are not in normal times. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. The cashless world will be coming soon  Smiley
Somehow this is true we get a lot of benefits from the coronavirus even though it kills a lot of people around the world, one of the things is the air is clean again since cars that are being used in transportation are reduced.

We also believed that the dump in the past weeks is caused by the coronavirus it is also beneficial to some of the investors that is planning to invest in bitcoin and also to everybody in the cryptocurrency community.
