I lost 25% of my Bitcoins today in my Poloniex account not because it was hacked but Its because I tried to hold an altcoin a little bit longer thinking that it will recover but unfortunately, the alts that I bought continued to drop until I sold for BTC. Others may think its not a wise move because we all know that it will recover eventually, I have other plans that I think will help me gain back what I lost from the altcons carnage today.

I am planning to convert to USDT to keep the dollar amount in anticipation of the correction or pull back but I was advised not to turn my BTC to USDT for now. I exit all my alts earlier when BTC hit $13,000 USD but in Twitter you will see comments that $20,000 is the target for BTC this month.

I read some where that there will be 3 Bitcoin forks scheduled this month with Bitcoin God included. If that news is true then we might see an extended time of alts prices going down because alt holders would like to capitalize in the Bitcoins continued bull run and the possibility for an air drop.

I don't think there is such thing as a perfect trading platform. I use 3 platforms, Bittrex, Poloniex and Cryptopia. I use bittrex more often because the pairs that I need are mostly there, but I started trading at Poloniex but due to withdrawal issues, I seldom use Poloniex lately and in Cryptopia, theres only a handful of pairs I a am looking at. Planning to try Binance too since IOTA is there.

I know as a trader theres a bad day and a good day which means you earned some but sometimes you lose some and worst lose more but I dont  say its a bad time or day to be a trader because I might have lost some today, but I can gain more tomorrow. Nope, they are not scamming people. The problem is for those who cant verify themselves. Bittrex have to protect themselves too from being used by money launderers and they have to comply with the local regulations. It's a legit business and its about money, so they have to be strict with the people they are dealing with.

We can't hold our Bitcoins forever, we need to find a better use for it until almost all merchants accepts Bitcoins just like Paypal. I plan to hold but convert a portion of it little by little when I need fiat to pay my daily expenses specially when I retire and income definitely will start to slow down so I need to cash in on my investments and not to rely on the pension promised by the government.
