2582  Other / Meta / Re: Show "All" comments on topic link is gone on: February 29, 2016, 09:33:05 AM
the "All" thingy is only available on threads with less than 25 (or maybe 30) pages.

Why is that? I remember using it on a longer thread just awhile ago. Is this a new feature?

You can use "print" instead. Its not as pretty though.
2583  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMER: Fancyhash. He refuses to pay me for some service done by me. on: February 28, 2016, 10:15:46 PM

Again "TS"? If you are refering to Gianluca95, I havent left them a negative rating because they are willing to find a solution, they are willing to find a compromise, a middle ground.

TS i mean "topic starter"

I see, thanks.

I did react instantly and wrote my opinion is that Gianluca95 is ugly worker and wasted my time and it is fair that after 5 attempts he was unable to do work correctly i will not pay him and will not use his translation.
I do not see something negative in this . this is exactly middle ground. It is fair.

and afterwards you did not react for 5 days, so I left a rating. A middle ground is where neither gets what they want. It is your decision to make this lengthy, dont blame others for your own priorities.

But you think that it is not fair, you think that if he "did something no matter what exactly" i need to find "solutions".

Several italian native speakers have attested it to be a good translation.

-snip-
Using your trust status, you forsing me pay individual who wasted my time for a month unable to do work. Ok . I have nothing to do in this case but find solution as you wish .

You hired someone, the deal went not as expected, dont play the victim. Its a shame that I even have to make you finish this. We will soon seen how good the work by Gianluca95 was.

2586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoinwallet used by 2 people at the same time. on: February 28, 2016, 07:58:38 PM
it is perfectly safe*, if you take some simple notes, to use one wallet with two computers, just make use you always use coin control and send small change coins first when they have enough confirmations(medium priority).

change amounts are quite small, most of the time they are from 0,010xxxxx to 0,019xxxxx, you can always send to console - keypoolrefil 1000 before copying wallet.dat it will make your wallet bigger with 1000 change addresses

before deleting one wallet check if balance is equal to another by comparing output of - listaddressgroupings - typed in console, dump/import the missing address

there is an option to send change to custom address also

* - in fact you have double backup if one PC HDD fails, but you have double weak points if one PC is compromised by a trojan virus.

You are funny.

"Its perfectly safe you just have to

#1 create 1000 addresses in advance
#2 think which inputs to spend every time you create a transaction
#3 take extra caution against viruses."

Just use electrum, multibit HD or any other HD wallet.

a few rare multi posts might be ok

If You notice, i goes never on overquoting, i edited all the time the line of argument.

I dont know what that means.

But You are telling me, that help not.

I try to tell you: one post at a time, not two directly after eachother, not 3 and definitly not 4. Im not sure why we still have this conversation. The fact that your post are deleted should tell you to stop it. The next warning is a ban.

If it is so big problem, they need be blocked. I think, that is easy to put on forum script.

I'm happy, to clear this issue.

If you think this needs block via algorithm make a suggestion for the new forum software[1] and it might get implemented. The currenty software will most likely not see such a change.

Hi,

as you are aware you have an unresolved scam accusation here -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1371069.0

I think you should take your time to work out a compromise.

-Sho

I do not know why and it is your choice but you defend scammer who trying to get money without work

Hi,

a PM to me will not change anything, post in the thread please.

-Sho

I posted in the thread
With all due respect... but did you read thread?

Yes, thats why I asked you to post in the thread instead of PMing me.

Did you read someone opinion there that im scammer ?

It is my opinion that you must be motivated by force to find a solution. You did not react to this thread besides your initial statement until I left you a negative rating. I would have prefered if you two just talk it out, but when its not possible people created threads in this section and negative ratings are left.

Do you really think that i have to be happy with TS scorn and neglect ?

What is TS? Scorn? Neglect? Im not your parent, this is a business deal.

For what reason you are using your high  trust level and putting negative feedbacks to me?

Because I felt it was needed to make you react at all. If you just walk out of a deal in the middle because it is not going your way, it is a reason to warn others about you.

i didnt done something negative .

You refused to find a solution to a problem with a deal, is that positive?

The fact that i have claim dont doing me negative .

I dont understand what that is supposed to say. You should probably not mock Gianluca95's english when you write gibberish like this.

And why you didnt put the same negative feedback to TS ? He have unresolved issue with me .

Again "TS"? If you are refering to Gianluca95, I havent left them a negative rating because they are willing to find a solution, they are willing to find a compromise, a middle ground.

Hi!

Didn't saw the thread until now. I translated the site to Spanish, and i got paid 24H~ after i sent the files. My translation contained a few errors, that i solved and everything was fine imo. So, aleast in from my experience, fancyhash is not an scammer.

If anyone have any question regarding my work/transaction feel free to ask, i'll reply asap Smiley

I assume fancyhash asked you to post here as some sort of witness of character, but its derailing the thread. If you think your deal went great leave a positive rating with a good reference.

Hi!

Danke!

2594  Other / Meta / Re: Stopping gift card money laundering on: February 27, 2016, 11:30:19 PM
for a lack of evidence.
It means that whatever you do could be wrong, cause its based on ?
-snip-

There is always room for error.

Opinion is commonly used when evidence is absent. I think it was already established in this thread that its difficult to find the line between someone selling legit cards at a discount and someone not. Is it 50% discount or 48.7548%?
Opinions should not be used when deciding to leave negative trust, as for the majority of people a single negative rating can essentially torpedo one's ability to conduct business around here. If you can't cite specific facts and if you cannot speak to why you left a negative rating then it is probably not a good idea to leave such negative rating in the first place.

See Vods crusade against MS keys. If anything it makes those wondering whether they should buy think. Which is the whole reason the ratings are left, to make the possible buyers think "can this be legit?".
I would argue Vod leaving negative ratings for MSDN key sellers will have the opposite effect. Potential MSDN key sellers know that all MSDN key sellers will have negative trust so they do not bother checking their trust profile and ignore their trust score. This has allowed multiple people to continue to scam even after having negative trust by selling MSDN keys that do not exist. There have been a number of scam accusations opened against people who received payment for MSDN keys and sent nothing in return and who previously had multiple trust reports saying they had scammed previously at the time payment was received. Normally, when someone starts a business they will initially have difficulty conducting business because they have no reputation, however as they have been in business longer, they will build up a reputation of trading honestly and if they want to maintain that reputation then they will need to not (try to) scam the people they do business with, however when everyone has negative trust ratings this is not possible.

So the solution is to just accept the fact that illegal goods are traded here and be done with it? I know I argued that MS keys are legal to sell in some circumstances/juristictions and that the seller should not be flagged without a closer look. In the end though, even the "legit" (following your definition of "not scamming a user here") ones are breaking the law (at least in some countries). Same goes for gift cards[1]:

Quote
Your Amazon.com Balance cannot be used to purchase other gift cards. Gift Cards cannot be reloaded, resold...

The question is how liberal this forum wants to be and there are different views. That is why this topic is discussed here. Im perfectly fine with that. What I find troubling is the "abuse!" crys and the attacks against those newly added to DT. What am to think of this other than someone sees their business in danger and not someone that has good arguments and can defend with them, but someone that needs to use every possibily venue. I know that amazon gift cards or often the only way very poor people can earn. They do mechanical turk work, earn amazon points, trade them for gift cards and sell them at a discount for money that lets them buy food. Those will hardly sell them here directly.

I would say a possible way to prevent money laundering via Gift Cards on this forum would be to apply (and enforce) this rule to sellers of gift cards.

If prior reputation is required before someone can start selling Gift Cards then gift card sellers will have an incentive to not sell laundered/stolen gift cards because doing so would damage their reputation.

This may be a good solution and it might be the first compromise I have read in this regard. With account trades it would at the very least give gift card sellers the incentive to work honestly until they have paid off the account needed to conduct the sales in the first place. Its one rule that is rarely enforced by staff though and just because of that its probably not a solution at all. It would require staff to interfere with trades.

Your critique seems to be the lack of evidence. Why is it a problem here, but not when ponzis are tagged? There is lack of evidence as well. Why are the two a problem, but I am not?
A ponzi is essentially a promise which is mathematically impossible to be kept. A ponzi is essentially a promise that if you give me $1 today, then I will give you $2 tomorrow with no limits as to how much total money I will accept. If I claim to somehow use this $1 and "invest" it for a day that somehow gives me >$1 in returns in that one day, then it is your responsibility to ask questions to debunk my claims if you wish to leave me a negative rating. Take these two threads for example (one, two), they were claiming to "invest" in altcoins/ect. so they were initially given the benefit of the doubt, however after questions were asked and research was done, it was determined they were in fact lying about not being a ponzi and were left negative trust.

Another good example is this in which the OP of this thread was offering ponzi-like returns, however was claiming that he was "investing" money sent to him by "investors" and when he was questioned about how he makes the money that he uses to pay the returns, he provided evidence (not proof) of legitimacy, and without significant evidence that would prove otherwise a negative rating is inappropriate in this case.

I didnt know about "Delta Investment", they have a negative rating though.

No, you dont need to reply several times in a row you can just reply in a single post.

No way.
The topic there is closed.

If this option is against the rules, just block it as forum script and got unavailable.

It could be blocked by a script true, however after 24 hours its allowed (as bump, e.g. in a marketplace thread to put it back to the top). Rules are usually construed by the moderator handling the report (see rule 23), so a few rare multi posts might be ok. When exactly you cross the line I cant tell. Im just here to tell you how this is seen and where it might end if you continue, feel free to ignore my advice.

the conversation is so long....I can't just do 100 screenshots of it, I uploaded the most important things. Now tell me why he's online and not replying on skype or here on BTC talk? tag him here c'mon and ask him what he wants to say about this. I gave him negative trust and he said nothing.
If you want any other proof just ask then...I don't know what else should I provide

Put it on pastebin, post it here directly[1]. The PM is probably not modified was just some smudge that made it look like you cut out a name after the 'hi' on my screen. What Im looking for is a way that lets me connect the skype conversation to the account here. From what you provided it could be two seperate issues. We have enough threads in meta about "abuse" already. Sorry if are cought up in this political nonsense, but thats how it is currently.

People have to be blind or mentally slow to not see what's happening on this forum.
Same way as people have to be blind to not see that you're a sockpuppet?  Wink

Why don't you take the time to neg rep the Hero member who scammed the Newbie in this thread?

I just took the time to see every bit of the proof presented.

I now have questions:

#1 why is the picture of the PM modified?
#2 how is the skype account related to the account in question?
#3 where is the rest of the skype/PM communication?

Like you should have done from the start..... Take a look at the scam reports here and take a GOOD look howmany of the real scammers did not get a SINGLE neg rep from DT1 tot 2 members... if this doesn't tell you this system with people like you having their fingers on the button is completely useless you are blind or doesn't want to see it on purpose. I'm more happy to be a sockpuppet than a useless policing entity that abuser power or miss uses it....

Also, people like you are the reason I no longer frequently watch this section to help out. Its just not worth it to get insulted because ... I honestly dont even know what your issue is. We are here in our free time, you are not entitled to get anything here.

I didn't understand something.
If i have core wallet with full blockchain synchronized, i could insert wallet1.dat send some coins..
Then backup wallet1 and insert wallet2.dat without any consequences.
This way i can have as much wallets as i like?

Yes, every switch needs a quick rescan thats it. Well, unless you run core in pruned mode in which case you can not switch wallets without redownloading the entire blockchain.

If i forget to return wallet.dat, wallet will create new wallet.dat .
What do you say?

Correct, Im not sure how this is relevant to the topic at hand though. Core is a bad choice for a wallet to be handled on different machines as I already said above and as was confirmed by Danny (and probably others). It would make more sense to use an HD or online wallet for this sort of thing.
