1st post on this topic: there is 2 example and you didn't find one?
Or too lazy and just want someone to give a conf ready to go for your own setup ? Smiley

No Zels....I am VERY appreciative of all the help I've been given. Ya don't need to be rude and no, I'm certainly not lazy! While I was working on trying to get MinerControl working, I was also trying to work on my S3+. I tanked that, and am now trying to recover. I think I might have bricked it. Money down the drain for a small-time miner hobbyist. Sorry I didn't get back sooner. Needed a break to dry my eyes.

edit; aww, dang...that link did me no good. Takes me to a version I've never seen. Sure Zels...send me a sample.conf that I can just customize to fit. That would be great as I am going to be very busy getting a antMiner back up before my wife cuts off my sac. Gotta order a break-out board now. Thanks, in advance,  for the .conf file. You may have saved my life.

edit 2!; my fingers are too fast (wish my brain was)....maybe I need a new hobby!!

Hi,

Ok..I've been trying to set this up for 2 days now & still can't get it. I have a GTX750Ti 2GB running ccminer (spMOD latest). I want to mine just quark and convert to a couple of different coin (not BTC). Can't seem to come up with a .conf that will let me do this. Frustrated!! and ready to just .cmd line the miner and not use this program at all. Can anyone send me a .conf sample for just quark mining?

Thanks for listening!

edit; there's no readme I can go to for an example. Reading this thread just got me more confused. Please help. I wanna use yaamp with nice/westhash as fail-over.

@ DougB62...I'm still waiting for the fail to see if your file works. I may not be so smart...just an ass. My fingers were too quick to restart my miner. I do know tho that with your file I had to put my primary pool as the second in the command line. I'm gonna delete my comment below until I know if the kudos need to be applied.

Back in a few!

edit; tbear is right...dang it. I was really hoping dougb62 was correct. Thanks for the try; appreciate it!

Is you miner able to handle different cards? Or is it safer to run separate instances? One for the 970s and one for the 750s?

Did I miss the answer to that question or did it go unnoticed?
Do you need to run two ccminers when you have a mix of GPUs (750Ti & 970 for example)?

I believe that would be a YES. Different setting for different cards. Could be wrong, but it's what I would do. Oh wait, sorry, I know that you can run one instance of your miner, by using the command switches (-d). Look at your readme file. It's in there. Personally, I would run different instances of the miner tho, so if one card craps out, you can close the miner to fix that card while the rest keep going. Otherwise you shut them all down to work on just one. It's all a preference thing. Hope that helps. Done.

I am getting this error and the non-responding program window then ccminer stops.
this is strange because i havnt had any issues with release 48
changing i or g did not help

This is a disconnect from the pool. Happens when there is a lot of traffic. You need to use a bat file  wait and loop.

or use a minercontrol software like "miner control"

Yes,,,yes,,,yes! THIS is what I've been trying to get an answer to for these last several days. How do I get a workaround for this? More to the point...I need an example of the .bat file to set it up.

Thank you

edit; if ya go back about 9 post pages, I asked about this. I guess because I haven't gotten very involved, until lately, nobody thought to look at my posting much. I can't write code but I do know when something ain't right. Question...just what does the workio thread do? Is it software (code) related, hardware (vid card), or internet speed (not sure of tech term) related? If I knew what that did, I could experiment. Don't remember who, but somebody posted a example of the .bat loop file but I could not get it to work. Just running a simple one now but playing with the switches. My current file (I change and fiddle with it tho);

ccminer -a quark -o stratum+tcp://yaamp.com:4033 -u LV4oV0xyLWu6pntuq97L0PheeavJsALJYo -p mHung   -i 20.1 -r -R=3 --cpu-priority 3

It's actually not running too bad. Still get the random workio thread disconnect tho. Sooo...how do I force a restart of ccminer. The vid card & driver doesn't seem to crash but things slow down, then...crap, nothing, workio disconnect. If I'm sitting here (which is a lot of the time) I just close and restart ccminer. I'd really like a set it, forget it, have a nice day kinda thing tho. I could make a beer run and it would still be mining or go to the beach (which is where I'm headed in a bit). Ya know. OK...done editing!  Well almost...I really would like a solution. I've forgotten more than I remember, so I leave things up to the ppl in the know...you guys. You're a great group, mostly, and I know eventually the info comes out.  Thank You very much for any replies. Bye, for a few hours...heading out for some fun in the sun.

Hey all,

Thanks for the input for my .bat. I had already done everything mentioned so I have no flippin idea. Something is kicking me in nice/west. Works fine in yaamp. I'll work on it.

Thank you

<bunch o' whining>
You are making Americans look bad with your whiney, solipsistic, jealous-sounding rants toward someone who actually contributes to this thread.
Why don't you make like a bee and buzz off?

Didn't know that computers, code, etc, had a 'country'. Isn't this forum supposed to be about sharing/gaining knowledge & incite? Helping those who understand less. It's done for the common good. The love of a hobby, for some. Maybe this forum is here because we have fun. None of that says 'I'm from whatever country'. And it certainly doesn't scream that so 'n so is smarter than the other. We ALL have something to contribute. So, be humble. Be inquisitive. Be grateful. Can't we all just get along?

That being said...still need help with a .bat for nicehash/westhash. I don't get what I'm doing wrong. Can't be that dang hard but getting workio thread terminating error. Sample plz.

Thank You

Ok....must be having a brain fart today. Setting up a .bat file for running nicehash. Solo mining runs fine for x11, but I'm having trouble with quark. Comes up telling me workio thread terminating. Would somebody else that mines on nicehash mind showing me a sample of a Windows .bat.

Thank You

edit; Hmmm....I can't try GPU mining with a 750Ti 2G? Really...what am I doing wrong today? Today is almost over and I want a do-over!
   OHH...duh! ccminer doesn't do scrypt. sheesh....I think I need some beers!!

edit; Anybody ever get a stable OC for the 750Ti above 1400Mhz? If so, clue me in. Best I have is 1400MHz GPU /w 5300 MHz Mem.

You can see the list of commits here:

https://github.com/sp-hash/ccminer/commits/windows

If you want to run the latest beta you need to build it yourself.

@sp-

Aww Man....I don't do code...compile...etc. But I can run the dog-snot outa a Win .exe.

edit; Ohh..... I've got some x11 shares comin your way. That is your .bat isn't it?
                  (hmmm...I'm impressed. Consistent 33s kh)
edit2; Aww...hell...sorry sp, meant to send those shares to you. Thought it was your x11.bat. Somebody got some shares!!!

I have fixed it now. I have made a new switch. '-e' that will switch of the extranonce subscription.
If the 'g' switch is on '-e' will automaticly be activated...

This is not a bugfix, but just a workaround.

What does -e do and if I'm using -g I don't need it or what?

Also ...is it uploaded to git?

Seems to be a bug in the extranounce code for multiple threads. The hashrate is dropping after the pool is changing the extranonce

I'm seeing the same. I've got a couple of hours to play, so I'll try some different switches and see if it gets better.

edit; did you see my post below? Kidda gets me when it runs for so long, /w no determined timing, and pulls the fault. Never had that happen before. I did add some things to the network, but it should handle it. Just strange!!
2597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 10MHASH CCminer modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernals by SP. on: May 07, 2015, 05:01:26 PM
Ahhh ha! Got it to do this again. I've been getting disconnected from the pool and would like to know if there is a problem or a workaround to it. I have a single 750Ti card running a basic .bat file. Just the pool with the algo & " -g 2 --cpu-priority 3" switches. I 'sometimes' get this error;

Stratum connection failed: Failed to connect to poolX.com port XXXX: Connection refused
...terminating workio thread

of course the Xs are not really there...but ya get the meaning.
Is this a problem on my end, pool side or a coding issue? This has never been an issue, in the past. Very much appreciated!

Thank You for all the hard work!

Happy mining!!

edit: Oh crap.....running the early D/L of release49, CUDA6.5, Win8.1...sorry, shoulda told ya that up top!
2598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 10MHASH CCminer modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernals by SP. on: May 07, 2015, 03:40:01 PM
I get low accepted % on lyra2. Around 84% on release 49.

I have fixed it now@git. The rejects where of the type low difficulty share. X11 also had this problem on some pools

Ok folks....just a quick question...when will the finished product be ready for D/L?

Thank You for all the hard work you guys are doing.

Happy Mining!!

scryptr,

Not sure what context that 'concurrent' falls into but... So, to mine just x11 coins, then, I take it that the sp (latest, of course) will give me the better hashrate? Will it mine LTC? Also, would you mind giving me a correct .bat file for the best hash /w my 750Ti?    Thank you very much for the help!

Edit: did a reread & believe I understand the concurrent remark. Sorry. Not sure if it (sp) will mine just any scrypt tho. I've always thought it was for x11 only. I STILL don't know the correct syntax for my .bat tho. Ive got it OCed already. Help?

Thanks!
