2582  Economy / Economics / Re: The Downfall of TSLA on: June 02, 2021, 05:52:01 PM
The fact TSLA is valued more then all the auto manufactures combined is absurd. You're naive to think big auto is just going to sit on the sidelines. Big auto has the infrastructure and production lines to mass produce fully electric vehicles for a fraction of the cost of a TSLA, something TSLA will never be able do. Ford is already leading the charge with the F-150 Lightning and converting old factories into fully electric vehicle production plants. TSLA is just as overhyped as Elon Musk.
I do not think that there is this "big auto" that can stop him, or stop tesla because if there was one they would have already done that too long ago. However I think the appeal of Tesla is not about electric anymore, it is about brand, kind of like Steve Jobs made apple into because we all know that you could get a much better computer for the same price but people still do end up with mac, if it is about your work I could understand but people do it for show purposes and for the brand name as well.

Tesla is sort of like that, or becoming one at least, there are better cars out there for electric and much cheaper, there are cars one third of their price and it is still electric and it still goes, is it better? Probably not but hey it does the job and its very cheap, yet for some reason people still go for Tesla, why? Because, it is a symbol, it is basically a life style item if you can afford one.
2583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what way to take profit ? on: May 13, 2021, 08:36:49 PM
it seems like now ico is starting to get great again, you can look at the coinlist to get this answer. and trading on coins that have large volumes can also be profitable if you can do technical analysis because that skill is needed if you don't want to get big losses when trading on the market. In essence you need the ability to profit and also see some references from other people to compare your analysis
ICOs and new projects are doing well recently because of the big bull run the market recently saw. Good projects like DOT will always perform well even when the market is bullish or bearish but new coins like recently SHIB is gaining some real momentum so these kind of things do happen when the market is going through a bull-run.

My suggestion is for you is that buy Bitcoin and don't hold onto that. Because it will sometimes attack you back. Use cryptocurrency talk and know more.
on the contrary, I would say holding is certainly the best strategy for years and I know some people might have earned more with altcoins but a solid and easy to execute strategy in the crypto market is just buy and hold bitcoins because any coin might drop or rise but bitcoin is only going to go up.
2584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I swap my BTC to altcoins and hold for better benefits? on: May 13, 2021, 08:21:09 PM
I'm still struggling to make my decision to sell my BTC for altcoins (I prefer ETH, ADA, SOL, ETC).
Do you think I should do that?
NEVER ever go for that. You may become disappointed at any time.
The best practice must be risking only 5% to 10% of your portfolio in altcoins is always recommended.

What we are having right now due to dogecoin/etehreum is not a sustaining one. Moreover these may happen once in 5 or 10 years, you cannot dream about that on cyclic manner how people are enjoying assured profits with bitcoins on every four years. By the way, I never heard about SOL so far, what is that?

ETH might be trading around its ATH of life time right now, investing with that may become a life's biggest mistake as well. Same the case for Ada. ETC may become dead at any time.
I agree with the notion of bitcoin as the biggest portfolio piece, I just do not agree with the 5-10% part (depending on the coin of course). Right now 90% of my portfolio is btc-eth-bnb and has been like that for months, I am very happy with it, I made a great deal of profit that way, while others made even more I was quite happy with what I have.

But I did purchased eth and bnb, those are altcoins so I could say that I do not have 10% in altcoins, I do have 10% in other coins aside from these three, that is the true part and I agree with that but the fact is that I still managed to make  a good amount of income from the biggest three coins in the crypto market. That is why I agree that you should not swim outside of shore too much, but you can keep it at the top levels if you want to, which I did, I have like 40-50% of my money in bitcoin as well, just not 90%.
2585  Economy / Economics / Re: 3.9million users took part in the Elon Musk poll; What will be Tesla's decision? on: May 13, 2021, 07:25:42 PM
It's been almost twenty-four hours since Tesla CEO Elon Musk took to Twitter. He asked his followers in the poll whether they agreed with Tesla agreeing to use the meme coin as a payment option.
So far, 3901106 votes have been counted. Meanwhile, more than 3 million (78.2%) respondents voted "yes" and 21.8% were against.
Earlier this year, Elon Musk announced in a statement that Tesla had begun accepting the world's leading currency code, Bitcoin (BTC), and that the bitcoin received would not be converted into Fiat currency. Tesla also allocated $ 1.5 billion to buy bitcoins. It was later revealed that the company had liquidated ten percent of its BTC assets.
As you know, after Saturday night's broadcast, the DOGE price fell from $ 0.71 to $ 0.44, but the growth of this currency resumed.
He really said that the Bitcoin they make from sales won't be converted as fiat, are you really sure that he's going to do that? Maybe they will for some time, but it wouldn't be for long, because they are company and there might come a time that they are going to need the money they have there, unless maybe the price of bitcoin goes really high and they have a lot of money stored there and so they wouldn't need to be selling all their money/coins to sort out some issues. They might not sell all, but they will still be selling some of them at sometime, that's what I think. But it's good that they are accepting cryptocurrency.

As for adding Dogecoin to the list, it's all up to them to decide. This seems to me like the time for Dogecoin, because with everything that has been happening all this while, dogecoin has been gaining some popularity and has been going up the chats, I don't think this is the end.
2586  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders Don't easily lend out money. on: May 13, 2021, 06:52:43 PM
I wonder how if someone lend out BTC in cheap price, and then price increased, what should we do to ask our money back? Honestly, i lend out 0.05 BTC to one of my friend when rate around $500  Grin. And when he ask, i asked with current price he look very mad and only pay 0.001 BTC, and the rest he will pay little by little. Sometimes i feel very bad for him.
It's upto you how you finalize the terms. If you gave someone a loan in BTC then they must pay back in BTC but if you gave the loan in USD but paid in BTC, then you have no right I think to ask for the same amount in BTC.

A lot of people do short and long in trading based on how they feel the market is going to move. If you take borrow 1 BTC at $55k and you have to pay back in BTC, and the price dropped to let's say $45k then you made some easy profits but the vice versa is what fears me.
2587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge is to hold should not be trading on: May 13, 2021, 06:25:21 PM
Doge is just a toy of one guy, it should be accepted as soon as possible. It is completely subservient to the manipulation of one man. That it is total supply present in very large numbers, and many can still have it for a small amount of money does not mean he had a strong or largest community.
Even if their billions of supporters, this does not mean much if one guy, with just a few words, can back them to the bottom.
The biggest problem everyone might not be aware of is that there is no cap for the total supply of dogecoins which means there is no fixed number of coins and there can be unlimited coins in the future so holding dogecoins doesn't make any sense specially since there is no staking mechanism neither it has a fixed amount like BTC which helps to increase the value of BTC in long term.
2588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to earn in crypto in 2021 on: May 13, 2021, 06:08:12 PM
So I was checking your feedback and find out that the thread you created elsewhere was copied from somewhere else, as mentioned and spotted by SFR10. Now, in this thread you already mentioned the content is created by coins_hunt telegram members so anyways not sure how it aligns with the plagiarism rules of the forum.

Although some really good points and NFT is indeed one of the burning topics among the crypto traders with some of the painting if I recall went as high as $69 million or something. Staking is a good idea but there are so many ponzi schemes out there that you have to be very cautious and make sure the coin you are staking does work on PoS because I have seen some websites for dogecoin recently where they offer staking rewards but dogecoin works on PoW.
2589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin staking on: May 12, 2021, 09:21:37 PM
Is it possible to stake Dogecoin?
Where do the newly minted coins go?
I am not sure if dogecoin mining is possible, maybe some exchanges are offering it but no such concept actually exists in dogecoin because it works on proof-of-work as we can mine dogecoins using hash power. My sincere suggestion would be to avoid staking coins because any exchange can turn scam any time and you don't have the private keys then you are not the owner of the coins.

I had some coins in bleutrade and a few small exchanges while others ran away with my coins, Bluetrade is still running but they have stopped replying to me and my coins are locked under them. I have few hundred dogecoins there and I left it there because it was not much worth back then but now I regret even leaving dust there.
2590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will governments destroy stablecoins in the long term? on: May 12, 2021, 08:37:04 PM
Whether stable or utility coin, there is none any government can quash. The current suit between the US SEC and the Ripple (XRP) as an organisation is a proof. The case proves that the individuals that adopts a cryptocurrency are the major determinant of what it becomes. You can also see what has become of the Shit coins lately.
You are right the government cannot control stable coins or just any coin actually. I think even if the government launches their own stable coin, people are not going to use it because it would be tracked, traced and taxes will be imposed which ultimately sounds like making transactions from your bank account.

The reason stable coins like USDT are so popular is because they give you a solid way to store the value of your coins while also not asking for any KYC or giving your details to the government. The governments need to understand that freedom and privacy is the only and most important reason why cryptocurrencies are taking over, be it a stable coin or utility coin or just any crypto in general.

Having USDT in wallet feels like no risk of market movement while having complete privacy, which I am sure no government launched stable coins can achieve or even aim to achieve.
2591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Multi-coin wallets? on: May 12, 2021, 08:22:17 PM
I'm in love with metamask application right now and also trust wallet, the fact is you can create any wallet on metamask and own the private keys separately for each coins, like separate Private key for ETH, separate Private key for BTC, same thing can be found in trust wallet too, unlike coinomi wallet you will have to use iancoleman to get your private keys
Good choice actually and I have myself used Trust Wallet and it works pretty smooth while has all the security one needs.

I would have recommended some hardware wallets but like Pmalek also said, they are not suited for small transactions that come with mining coins. I would say that trust Wallet is actually the best choice considering the security and variety of coins.
2592  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can we maybe share daytrading chat groups, forums or servers here please? on: May 12, 2021, 07:46:07 PM
I am looking to talk to some other daytraders to share ideas, I am hoping someone here knows where I can go for example, IRC
chats on freenode, or Discord servers?
I guess telegram is the only place where people discuss such things but there are so many fake and deceptive groups that it is nearly impossible to find real traders and discuss with them. I guess it would be a nice idea to build a platform where people can discuss their trading knowledge and brainstorm with others and there can be some membership so elite traders would discuss in a particular group or something like that. Like we have bars in real life where people meet and make friends so a platform where traders can meet, discuss and have fun together.
2593  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: beginner trader: Are trading signals and bots worth it? on: May 12, 2021, 07:12:37 PM
No! That is a bad idea for a beginner in trading. Much better if they learn step by step in a right way. I mean learn the graph and the price movement by your own in actual for better understanding the trading and crypto market  instead of using trading signals and bots which is not useful for a beginners to learn and grow in this field.
I agree and there is a lack of confidence in your trades when you are completely reliant on someone else for your success. It is very similar to copy trading and it is not worth it because you are not using your own skills and hence getting more and more reliant on others. Depending on others for your own profit can turn out to be bad in the long run for many reasons.

1- Once they are good at what they are doing, they might increase the charge ultimately cutting your profits.
2- Some organizations always look for such individuals and if they hire them, you are basically out of trading because all these years you learned nothing.
3- Your signal provider might fade with the market moving so rapidly and you need to find someone else to rely upon.

So overall, trade yourself because others cannot carry for you long.
2594  Other / Off-topic / Re: Slapping Tournament on: May 12, 2021, 06:16:35 PM
wow, I never imagined that a slap tournament could become a gambling competition!!

I don't know about the slap tournament, I only saw a few videos on youtube, but is there already a betting platform for slap tournaments?!??
I was wondering the same and failed to find one but I did find some fiat betting options as the sponsors of these tournaments are betting sites mainly. I was watching some videos and it looked fun almost like UFC they play a few rounds where you either knock your opponent down or there are judges who will score the fight.

Let me tell you one interesting thing though, like UFC there are drunk judges in slapping tournaments too and they make some bad decisions so be careful if you are betting on a fight where the fight doesn't end with a knockout. It is a fun thing to watch but if you ask me, I won't be betting too much on it unless there is more growth for the sport.
2595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man lost £20,000 in one night after becoming addicted to online gambling! on: May 12, 2021, 03:42:32 PM
This isn't about entertainment anymore, gambling addiction is a mental disorder. A person couldn't become addicted immediately in 1 night, this person is regularly gambling online and this time he exceeded to his usual gambling routine that he ended up spending more time and money onto it.
I feel like people who are new to gambling are rather more prone to losing big amounts of money as compared to someone who gambles on a regular basis because when you are new into gambling you feel like you have found a way to earn easy money and initially you might actually win some which then makes you go big and hence go bankrupt.

But once you are gambling for some time you automatically build a sense of understanding that it is not possible to win every time and if the bets are not paying then it might be the right time to stop betting.

People who are new to gambling/betting think they just cannot lose which is the root of the problem.
2596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 11, 2021, 09:25:23 PM
I watched Bucks versus Spurs game last night and it was incredible. Spurs are truly the most inconsistent team in the NBA, they are more consistent with the way they lose, but they are definitely inconsistent with how they will come out that day. Yesterday's game was clear from the start, they played so well and shot the ball so incredibly well as well, they destroyed Bucks in a huge blowout and I think it is definitely the same feeling when you watched Spurs back in the day.

However they are looking quite low on standings for now, they are at 10 and 2 games behind Grizzlies, I am afraid they are not going to actually have a chance with the play-in tournament and that is still fine, the team is young and they are adding and removing bits and pieces to make the team better, in 3-4 years they are going to be really great but they just need some time.
2597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hoping to see a bitcointalk token sooner on: May 11, 2021, 09:03:11 PM
This is the birthplace of crypto and many people learnt alot from here. is it not fair for this platform to get a token that can be traded in the market. other content management platform has then own crypto that are been traded and use as a means of rewards to their users.
please don't say bitcoin. currently, not everyone can afford bitcoin now. we need an altcoin as an alternative token here for payment of service.

No other token is absolutely necessary for the payment, issuing a token for the bitcointalk would only be a reason to generate relatively simple revenue but the work will be enormous to keep this value high.
They will need to create an ecosystem around the token and use cases for its use.
Use case yet to be created? What kind of? So, you people are talking about a token which is not having a use case still? Then what is the purpose of such token? Only speculative purposes? I do not think this will work. A token or coin must be created to solve a problem by providing a solution and not in the manner of fund rising reason alone.

This way I believe there will be no need of going for creating a token specialized for this forum. If any one of us, will be coming up with proper reason for having such a token, then I will agree to have without any hesitations.
2598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: in between the decision to hold or sell on: May 11, 2021, 08:04:07 PM
having a conversation with a friend today , he was asking me if he should sell or hold a coin. i didnt give a straight answer, i just told him the project is a good one that can do well but if you are willing to wait then you can hold but if you need some money then you can sell off. he then replied that he will wait for an additional 25% increase before he would sell off. i think i tried my best to let him make his final decision himself. is there any better way to do this? if it were you, how would you respond to this. ??
Letting himself to decide must be the best option here in my opinion as well. Some investors are always in hurry to make profits because they are not ready to believe into stable market conditions because of their previous experiences with high volatile market conditions.

So, they just want to realize all the profits they are seeing; this is the reason that they must be always going for book profits rather than waiting and letting profits grow further.
2599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it really that hard to make ethereum faster and cheaper? on: May 11, 2021, 06:55:05 PM
I understand large scale and large success.

But this problem has been around for a very long time.
I'm not sure why devs are always acting in favor of miner but not bothering about end-users. For the case of bitcoin also they are not going for long-term solutions but they adopted just the time being solution of segwit. That is the reason we are currently having very huge transaction fees again along with ethereum.

I believe etehreum devs are simply following same kind of tactics which is the reason they are not hurrying to find a solution for their scaling problems. At the same time, unlike bitcoiners, dapps people might start looking for alternate platforms for hosting their project. I believe it is already happening and it may go more intensified in near future if ethereum devs will not solve the high transaction fees problems at any time soon.
2600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This happened many months ago but still wanted to share. on: May 11, 2021, 06:05:31 PM
From their response, their terms of service look quite complicated.
Not just complicated but it is sounding like too one-sided. Most gambling houses are running the illegal license or running without any permission from government which makes them to modify their terms and conditions according to their wish at any time.

When we're getting into any gambling house, we may go for checking their license information and then we may get start with them but actually they are not bind to to our country which makes them to freely act upon when we are making profits with them. I guess this was what happened for the case of OP.
