Manchester City must be under pressure at least a little from now on. Because I think that they definitely didn't expect a this big competition for the league title. They were ahead of Liverpool in the standings by a very big gap. And they were closing in on the championship comfortably. But things have changed and the gap is three points now. Manchester City will need to focus on winning each one of their matches to be able to keep their position. But this won't be easy too. However I think that Everton won't be able to fight back too much against them and Manchester City will win this.

I'm curious about one thing now and that is whether Juventus will be able to get closer to the first three teams in the standings. They have another chance as Inter and Milan couldn't get past their obstacles this week too. And Napoli also are most likely to fail as their match is really difficult against Lazio away. Juventus are playing against Empoli away today. They got draws for two weeks and this might be the time they are winning. Empoli are not very easy to beat but Juventus would find a way to do it I think.

I was really fascinated by Arsenal's comeback against Wolves yesterday. Honestly, it seemed really difficult to do so as Wolves were defending and wearing them out very well. They are really a very good team at it. They caused big teams to have big problems against them this season so far. But Arsenal finally managed to get out of the same loop against them by equalizing the score. And the winning goal came in the last moments must have devastated Wolves. I appreciated their resistance but Arsenal really wanted this win and got it.

Real Madrid are going to be facing Vallecano away tomorrow evening. And this might not be as easy as it seems to be for Real Madrid. I'm aware that Real Madrid are favoured by a big gap for this match. But this can be misleading sometimes in this kind of matches. Real Madrid haven't lost for five weeks in the La Liga. And Vallecano lost their last four league matches. In the meantime, there is an interesting statistics too that Vallecano are the third best team in home matches right now. Maybe they lost their last two home matches but they would target to get a point from Real Madrid. But I still think Real Madrid will manage to win.

Scoring that goal would make a difference for Manchester United indeed. But there is another truth that the away goal rule doesn't exist anymore. Therefore, only keeping Atletico Madrid away from scoring isn't going to be enough for Manchester United to advance. They will have to win in ninety minutes or finish this after. However I still believe in them to make it as long as they have a decent level of effort in the rematch. The only thing they mustn't do is not to play like this. They were quite inadequate about finishing their dangerous attacks with goals.

I got what I expected from the Napoli - Barcelona match yesterday. I wanted more goals than the first match and that was what we watched. And Barcelona were incredibly good in this match. They were much better than I expected to see. Their superb performance in attacking helped them finish Napoli by 4-2 here. Barcelona players are getting better every week and they are getting close to the level that Xavi would like to see from them. Of course, it is still early to be hyped about them but I believe they will have a great season next time.

Manchester United didn't play well last night and they should still be thankful for drawing with Atletico Madrid, 1-1. Because by this level of performance, they would have definitely lost against a more powerful team. They are just lucky that Atletico Madrid's effort hasn't been much different than them. But it is still doubtful if they can make it to the next round of the CL. They must be aware of a fact that they are going to have to play much better than this in the rematch to have a big chance for eliminating their opponent.

Tottenham are just an helpless team nowadays. Their being highly unstable makes things more difficult for them this season. I can't trust them as long as they don't play consistently. I mean just how can you lose to Burnley after beating Manchester City up in an away match? They just achieved the most difficult success but failed in the easiest one. Conte must be frustrated after getting this 1-0 loss. They must do something about their poor form recently. Otherwise, the Champions League will stay as a dream for them.

I also think that we can see more goals this time. Both of them are very capable teams as for scoring. The first match can be misleading as we could have seen a match with many goals in it in fact. Barcelona just wasted too many opportunities. If they scored more than one goal, I believe that Napoli would also score their second goal. In Napoli's stadium, I hope that we can watch even a more exciting match. This matchup deserves a big competition and many goals too.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one of the most profitable and logical transfers for Barcelona I think. Because they have signed him on a free agent and I still can't believe how Arsenal let him go like this. I mean that they could have made some money by demanding a transfer fee for him. But they just released him by terminating his contract. And now, he will perform superbly at Barcelona in my opinion. He has already started doing so by his fourth match with the team as he made a hat-trick. I'll be expecting him to play solid in the remaining time of the season.

Of course, Mbappe seems to be very interested in joining Real Madrid as of next season. Therefore, a deal this summer seems to be very probable. He is not leaning towards extending his contract with PSG. And PSG aren't willing to sell him to another club even a bit. But they have nothing to do about this as he is free to sign a contract with another team now. He is waiting to do so for now because he is focused on winning the Champions League title with PSG before he leaves. This would be the biggest gift that he can give to his team for sure.

We are only one day away from the rematch of the Barcelona - Napoli matchup. As you all can remember, the first match ended up with a 1-1 draw. And it was in Camp Nou which is a good advantage for Napoli without any doubt. But Barcelona's performance is developing as time goes on. And in this match, I believe everything can happen. Barcelona are favoured by bookmakers by a slight margin now. And I think the same with them too. Maybe this match wouldn't end in 90 minutes. But by the extra time or penalties, I expect Barcelona to advance to the next stage.

It looks like Real Madrid are going to continue to be safe till the end if Sevilla and them continue to play like this. Sevilla are making more mistakes than they should do the most now. And this causes them to get away from Real Madrid time to time. For example, after the draw against Espanyol, Sevilla are six points behind again. They still can't get very close to Real Madrid and even get near taking the lead. In this way, I don't think that Sevilla will have any chance for the title although the gap is not too much.

It was a really awesome weekend for Bayern Munich and Dortmund. Bayern Munich ended Furth by 4-1 after a disappointing Bochum loss and a draw with Salzburg. This was an important victory for them to gather strength again. And Lewandowski scored two goals in this match. His total goals in the Bundesliga are 28 so far. And Dortmund did much more than I expected by obliterating Gladbach by 6-0 despite not having Erling Haaland then. This proves that they are great without him too but they are struggling to reflect this performance on most of their matches.

Red Bull have revealed their new car (RB18) but I didn't see too much change about its appearance. The livery seemed the same to me but I wasn't waiting for a substantial change either. I'm thinking the same for Mercedes' car too which is going to be revealed one or two weeks later. But maybe we could see some changes for Ferrari. Because they have made people quite hyped about their next season. And maybe they can make some changes in the look of their car too. I'm looking forward to seeing their performance especially.

It looks like evey player wants to move on in their career with Real Madrid these days.    Mbappe already wants to do so. And there were some rumours like that Haaland's first choice would be Real Madrid if he leaves Dortmund and gets an offer from Real Madrid too. And now, we are talking about another centre-forward who is Robert Lewandowski. He seems likely to leave this summer indeed. And I really see the best fitting team for him as Real Madrid. However, they can't sign strikers more than they need in the end. So I have doubts about this probable transfer.

Newcastle defeated Everton as I was waiting for them to do so. Getting a 3-1 win must be very satisfying for them while they are in the competition to stay in the Premier League at the end of the season. Newcastle have made some transfers in the winter transfer window and we will see if these players will have a big impact on their resistance. Newcastle are definitely capable of doing this. They just need a little consistency and even that would be enough for them to do so.

Inter atoned for their loss against Milan. They did it by defeating Roma by a clear 2-0 score in the Coppa Italia quarter finals. I was expecting them to finish Roma off without having big problems though. So this was not a surprise. But this was an important victory for Inter to boost their morale. Because their next Serie A match is against Napoli away. It is going to be hell of a match I believe and I can't wait to watch it. By the way, there is another Coppa Italia match today between Milan and Lazio. I think that Milan will eliminate Lazio and qualify for the semi finals.
