261  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: February 12, 2016, 01:19:07 PM
Many of us would have heard from our friends for sure, no doubt we heard on internet too but the actual reason of getting into bitcoins was the suggestion from friend, as we were sure that bitcoin is not a scam and we can earn a good money out of it as our friend is doing it successfully.

Yep, that's the idea. Bitcoin like any other new thing when heard for the first time can be really suspicious. That is why it's easier to patronize Bitcoin if you have a friend that vouched for it.

They are as secure as your security practices. If you want a good guide for making them, check out the tutorial at my website, Incorporating Bitcoin.

This was in a thread about paper wallets.

you said 8 posts. are all those posts look like this one (you promoting your site)? might be viewed as spam if that's the case.

Yea, good chance they were tagged as spam. Perhaps so that even the subject heading suggests that the posts you created are really similar to each other.
263  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: February 12, 2016, 01:09:09 PM
You can make a lot of Bitcoin if you are decent in terms of programming skills, a lot of developers wan to hire extra coders for their projects and a lot are already paying with Bitcoin for your work, so this is an area that will only get better if you want to make more money than what a signature campaign (for example) could earn you.

Yep. This is pretty much a thing now. Hiring people to work for personal projects online. And what they do is pay them using Bitcoin.
264  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: February 12, 2016, 11:52:55 AM
I would choose for the bitcoin, the gold is also unstable these days plus I'm thinking the bitcoin has a better future a head for us all.
I think its just a matter of time till the bitcoin will be the nr.1 currency available.

But bitcoin doesn't guarantee us success in long run, as we are not pretty sure that what would be the future of bitcoins, and whether it will become no 1 currency or not that time will tell us, I would surely choose gold.

Yea, given the chance. I would actually go for gold. Classic investment. Not to mention, secured and safe. Smiley
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your favorite type of gambling? on: February 12, 2016, 11:52:19 AM
My favorite type of gambling is playig Poker Texas Hold'em.
Its easy, enjoying and you can make a good profit on the bet your laying for it.

Yea, same here. And if you think about it. There's more into it than just luck. There's also a great deal of strategy playing your cards.
266  Local / Pamilihan / Re: How to start blogging? on: February 12, 2016, 11:51:40 AM

So many people nowadays are joining such, mga gullibles na na nagpapaniwala sa double your money in 1 month.

I know right? Pero kung titingnan mo from afar, nakakatempt naman talaga. Pero naman, seryoso ba yun? Double your money in a month?
267  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: February 12, 2016, 11:49:04 AM
Bitcoin is a phoenix, people. Phoenixes burst into flame when it is time for them to die and are reborn from the ashes!!

Haha! I'm going with you on this Phoenix thing. Burn baby burn!
268  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Islam a religion of Peace? on: February 12, 2016, 11:48:25 AM
I think it is.. I'm sure it is. Every religion ought to be. Every God ideation ought to be peaceful. Perhaps it's how other Muslims live it out or the way other people sees Islam that makes the picture of peace in Islam obscured.
269  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do islam hates people? on: February 12, 2016, 11:01:41 AM
Those pictures are awful, and they gone tell me this is right?
Religious laws and rights must obey government laws.
Constitutions in countries always must protect people from tyranny..
That's why i'm proud i'm from Europe, but we also must protect our Europe!

Likewise, government laws must also be sensitive and fair to the practices and beliefs of all religion there is. If you actually think about it, a mutual and very respectful dialogue between the two can really solve all these conflicts.
270  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Europe, you reap what you sow... on: February 12, 2016, 11:00:01 AM
i never understand why Germany decided to do this. Government officials are not fooling anyone with these claims of being shocked over the increase in crime.

This is very tragic news. But I must agree. Who else can we blame about this besides the government.
271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How big is a bitcoin? on: February 12, 2016, 10:43:48 AM
Bitcoins have no size. What is sizeable is the blockchain, and transactions are the ones who take up space.

Yepyep. This is what actually your miners mine for. Blockchains. And these blockchains we sell for companies who use them.
272  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: IM DONE! on: February 12, 2016, 10:42:50 AM
This is Game and only Game ... keep it in mind
win or lose is nature of game, don't take seriously ..... its just for fun,

if honestly ran out of ponzi money I can accept, But fake service, only collect and never pay is truly criminal !

Guess that's the idea behind all this. For fun, mainly for fun. Guess it's our fault as well if we give in too much.
273  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Youtube monetizing with a bitcoin payment option? on: February 12, 2016, 10:41:17 AM
Nice one, ano mga ilalagay mo na videos? Magandang income din yan ah kung marami kang viewers.

I do song covers. Cheesy

Nice! Ok na to. Sana ipromote na din ng Youtube ang Bitcoin para mas seryosohin na from here on. Youtube - very convincing na advertisement na to for Bitcoin if you ask me.

Goodluck btw on your videos bro. Sana Ellen quality! Woot!
274  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price rise is over on: February 12, 2016, 10:39:38 AM
Guess the price is stable for now. Not how long this will last.
With bitcoin the price is never stable for a longer period of time. Mostly weeks.

Guess what really matters with Bitcoin is the long term. Weeks and months playing for me is too risky. Saving mine for a really good price some other time.
275  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Android wallet on: February 12, 2016, 10:38:07 AM
I'd recommend you to store large amount of Bitcoin in a hardware wallet instead. Android wallet is mostly created for ease of access and use. It is not designed to store huge amount of Bitcoin. I'd suggest you using Trezor to store a huge amount of Bitcoin. Also, never ever store a lot of Bitcoin in a single wallet. Spread them out. The reason being that if someone got one of your private key, you will not lose all your Bitcoin. Smiley.

Yea, I'd go the same way. Thus the saying, never put all your eggs in a single wallet. Anyhow, a hardware wallet really is a good way to go.
276  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How many bitcoins can you mine with a typical computer? on: February 12, 2016, 10:36:43 AM
I did it last year with a really good pc just for trying. I think I got an average of a few thousands satoshi everyday, so it's really dust of nothing xD
[/quote]

Wow! This is really something. Just that? A thousand satoshis. Was tempted to work out this my own. Anyway, thanks for the note.
277  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold KILLED all else today on: February 12, 2016, 10:34:16 AM
Gold was always a good investment for long term only now the price rise is hugh. How sure will it be this price will stay possible the price will also go fast down again.

Despite this, I still think gold will be a good place to go. That and real estate. Well yes, Bitcoin, but I am actually talking about real sensible good-old classic investments.
278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome To The Blockchain on: February 12, 2016, 10:32:38 AM

280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An excessive fee is an our future? on: February 11, 2016, 02:03:38 PM
What is an excessive fee?
0.002 BTC?
To send a large sum across the planet in less than one hour, I would say it's a good deal for the service.

I'm not worrying at all about this. I'd gladly pay fees a bit higher, and I would happily accept a minimum of 0.01 BTC to make a transaction. This to make BTC more scalable.

Besides regarding fees, I know they are not the main source of income for miners.

i agree, fees are so low right now that increasing it would not harm the usage by people.

also it depends on the price of bitcoin, the higher the price the lower fees can stay.

and also if the blocks are bigger, they can contain more transaction with more fees total.
People usually don't care about a fee that equal to a small unit in fiat money, so $0.1 would be acceptable for all the people, and $1 would be acceptable for majority of the people

Yep. I think I'm going to go with this $1. That's the safest way to go.

that true, since those same people are using stuff like paypal that charge a fee which is higher in most case and has a minimum of $1

but on the other hands bitcoin was designed in theory to be with low fee, so having the same fee as paypal in the future is not encouraging
