261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers will go after IEO soon on: April 01, 2019, 01:33:28 PM
It is important to go for IEO on only exchanges with good reputation, personally any IEO that can't launch on binance, bittrex, kucoin, okex and other top exchange, i can't participate in such IEO.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VANTA a SCAM? Wasted 6 weeks working for Vanta without payment on: April 01, 2019, 01:21:10 PM
For what so ever reason it's injustice for someone to work and receive nothing for the effort put to the work, bounty hunters are not protected and that is why ico management are taking for granted. This will keep happening until there is a provision that can compel team to pay hunters no matter what.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO, BNB Coin and Bounty on: March 30, 2019, 03:23:52 PM
There is no guarantee that IEO model will not flop as ICO did, what will make it to last is the qualify of project using the model i.e if they are delivering what they promised investor, there is no much difference between ICO and IEO, the method is just the difference, what will make it last is if they can deliver to their investors.
As regard bounty campaign, it is not all project that can afford to use IEO model as a result of that some project will continue with ICO model therefore the work of bounty hunters will be required for awareness.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: APOLLO to reach DASH and MONERO prices? on: March 29, 2019, 08:57:41 AM
This is crypto where anything is possible, we have seen project with not working product skyrocketing while the one with working product price getting rekt everyday there appolo may attain the price of monero and dash someday.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Locking Bounty Rewards To Avoid Dumping on: March 29, 2019, 08:43:20 AM
So there's this campaign that I've participated that locked bounty rewards in the hopes of avoiding token dumping. As what I expected, the dumping still happened. What's even funnier is that it is now the bounty hunters who complains unlike before where investors blame bounty hunters  Grin

If there's any coins or tokens that should be locked, it should only be the team's share (or maybe add those given to advisors). Both parties (investors & hunters) have invested either money or time to get their share and they should not be subjected to such restriction.

Instead of locking, teams should just concentrate on other methods such as buy back and loyalty rewards to lessen the chances of price crash.
These days team tend to have this belief that token price are dumped by bounty hunters which is wrong, what i observe personally as a person is bear market there are no enough demand in the market which is putting pressure on the price of the token. Also the team are not doing enough to promote the value of the token.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AIRDROPS ASKING FOR KYC VERIFICATION on: March 29, 2019, 08:33:30 AM
I refuse to believe they are under any jurisdiction, some of them collect innocent people information just to sell it out in return for cash, they are toiling with the identity of naive participants given their identity for penniless airdrop.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Second Attempt: Bittrex Announces Its First Initial Exchange Offering on: March 27, 2019, 04:59:59 PM
https://stadivm.com/cc/bittrex-ieo-second-attempt/

"The past few months have seen many positive steps for the cryptocurrency industry in general, such as the further development of the Bitcoin Lightning Network and even a new movie based upon cryptocurrency.

However one development which is been plagued with issues, while simultaneously showing promise, are the introduction of Initial Exchange Offerings, or IEO’s.

Following a controversial first bite at the apple, Bittrex has decided to give Initial Exchange Offerings another try. The announcement came following the cancellation of the RAID IEO a few weeks ago...."

Lol
Let’s call it bittrex second ieo program
The first one was abit messy; but this time around; I can see it thriving already

The first crowdsale done by bittrex as far as I can remember was the Breakout Coin and one that I can think was an adnetwork token too. So far this VeriBlock (VBK)  isn't the second at all.

IEO model will help the trust but only for the exchanges that has proven itself from the past. The newer ones today might struggle and team will still prefer to do an ICO.
Bittrex has been loosing a lot of trust not only from the traders but a lot of its customer has already moved to the binance. I heard that one of bittrex ico was getting failed. IEO will not always get success. that depends on how popular that exchange site.
Agree with you. Bittrex has been bringing changes with so many things on it's exchange. The mandatory KYC is the main reason why many people have shifted to binance and I would agree that binance is still far better than bittrex. Binance has it's own 'Binance Launchpad' which is a token development platform for the IEOs and it's going pretty decently. It has been accepted well by the investors and traders. It's recent IEO Bittorrent was very well received by the traders and investors.Bittrex on the other hand screwed up it's first ever IEO for some reason ( I still don't know why). May be once bittrex does a successful IEO then people may gain trust over it again.
you are absolutely right on everything you said about where bittrex got it wrong except where you said bittrex made kyc mandatory for people likewise on binance if you want to participate in binance IEO launchpad you must pass their kyc.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bounty hunter paid USDT? on: March 27, 2019, 04:49:22 PM
do you agree if the bounty hunter is paid USDT?
the good or bad impact on investors and the development of the ICO project, give your reasons
This move will reduce the way bounty hunters dump tokens, actually token dump is not done only by bounty participants, there are many investors who dump token value also, but they are not has ruthless in dumping as bounty hunters.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is CZ filling his pocket by this IEO thing? on: March 27, 2019, 04:28:40 PM
Binance should make the purchase of IEO more free and fair for every participants, the three IEO binance have done people ar complaining of it not being free and fair and they are sold out in the blink of an eye. I think they should let us buy using smart contract this will make it open and free too all.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Bull is in the Crypto Arena on: March 26, 2019, 07:46:24 PM
I hope this could be true, since bear market has started, market has been moving sideways, it doesn't look as if bull is in the crypto arena yet, bitcoin price dropped from $4k mark yesterday again this has been the case for several months.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the future of cryptocurrencies.... on: March 24, 2019, 03:32:47 PM
I have started having cryptocurrencies since 2016, I have always bought for me Hold, until now I have never sold it by looking at the market conditions that are getting worse my mind becomes anxious and afraid. because my savings funds run out on crypto assets. and my biggest regret is why I didn't sell it at high prices in  2017, could that opportunity come back.....
So far you will remain patient as you have being since market condition turned bad another good time like this will come but it may be in two years time or earlier,  don't lose hope betters days are coming.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I think the market is becoming bullish..What do you think on: March 24, 2019, 03:23:30 PM
With a lot of news in the crypto world I think we are ready and set for the next bull run. I am positive about it and I believe the market will not be bearish forever. I actually want to hear your view on this particular topic.

The market will not be bearish forever, that's for sure, but the price is hardly moving and it's moving slowly, in fact, it's hard to make a profit from this movement, we are heading to the second quarter, but people are still showing hesitance to invest.
How can be so sure the market will be bearish forever? Nobody knows tomorrow, you seems too affirmative about your post, i think you should check history and movement of crypto since it's inception maybe you will understand more how crypto works, when there is a long bear market sooner or later the bulls will come.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "BOUNTIES" Is it still worth it? on: March 24, 2019, 03:15:54 PM
with the falling prices of Cryptocurrencies many think this is the end of the beautiful story of Bitcoin and Altcoin. Many investors are turning to other fields and investments because they think that cryptocurrencies are no longer profitable, here I will not talk about wealthy investors and can invest their money in various sectors, but I will ask all of you about the fate of bounty hunter and airdroper, here are some points that I might think of in a few days:
1. Does the bounty hunter deserve recognition from investors and crypto organizers that they are vital to the development of their crypto program?

2. Is the Bounty hunter really a Dumper and scamer so that they are only given a small wage for what they do with all their heart?

3. I am a bounty hunter and trader, I have never invested in an ICO even though it is valued by some experts it is very good for investing in the future with big profits. Why ? because I'm waiting for their work, is it true that their project is good, if yes, I'm happy to buy it on the market exchange and what I'm asking is what is the definition of a bounty hunter? (because I am one of them)

4. In the past few months I have never attended a bounty hunter for several reasons, and what really makes me lazy is of course because of the rewards they give, far from what we can do, so according to you who are in this forum, it is still important to bounty hunter as a means of promoting an ICO? (because I see the bounty hunter is worthless and no longer worth it)

My advice to all bounty hunters and airdroper, stop to join the bounty campaign just because you want to get a lot of money for your life, because now it will be difficult to happen, they only give a little money to you, and sometimes break their promises. please choose your bounty manager and project that really feels good for you, after you get a little capital, be a trader, learn what to learn, go back to this forum for information because I get a lot of important information about crypto on this Bitcointalk forum. the last word from me "Stay Save"
Bounty is not lucrative as it use to be, this can be linked to present crypto market condition but that doesn't mean people should stop participating in bounty campaign just ask yourself that what will you sell when the atmospheric condition changes to good market, you can't sell what you don't have. Always look for good bounty to join, when the market recovers you will be happy you have accumulated good token you can take profit from.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Were you able to buy CELER NETWORK on: March 24, 2019, 02:47:31 PM
During the sale, i tried all my possible best to buy celer token on binance but it is too competitive i couldn't buy any of the two recently sales on binance launchpad, i hope for better luck next time.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Change of strategy on: March 23, 2019, 01:55:08 PM
Some investors and traders are complaining of not making profits like they used to, when the market was better. Instead or profits, it has been loses.
If you find yourself in this situation, why don't you ask yourself; what method am I using that is not making things to work out?
It will surprise you that the method might be archaic or that it might not work for this period.
Why don't you change it.
For instance, you always wait for long to get huge profits within 24hrs, which used to work for you. Since the market is bear, why don't you reduce the time and be satisfied with small profit. Then gradually, you can accumulate more.
changing of method is good but in this bearish market what works for you might not work for another person, within an hour you can be trapped by a coin you are planning to sell with just little profit sometime it has to do with luck.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A new look to KYC, from a customer's perspective. on: March 23, 2019, 01:43:49 PM
So, what does KYC mean? I always hated that thing, mostly because I feelt it is an unnecesary leak of information.

With these times and all the shitcoin scams and real waste of time and money I came to the resolution that we need a new meaning for KYC.

Know Your CEO.

The best way we could prevent or atleast act in the case (most certain) of one of any new project being a scam is selecting a number of trusted users of the community to verify the "Team" of any coin just the same way we are verified in most sites.
Since most of the new coins claim the "Team" is the people shown in the pictures they shouldn't mind verifying it to this peculiar non snitch trustworthy gathering of users.

In the case a project is to be compared to bitcoin or ethereum and the team crave anonimity you shouldn't need an ICO or could provide code before launching and provide a service.

Any ideas? Would anyone actualy ask for this before investing? and keep the word and not invest without the check?

I think it is more than a fair price for trusting someone with perhaps thousands of bitcoins.

Edit: I has another interesting post few ahead for (for the ones that read op only)
I can't agree less with you on this team members especially the CEO of project should be verified and ready to be accountable for investors fund should anything go wrong, many team have used fake identity to scam ico buyers kyc the CEO before giving them fund is a welcome idea.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is $25 XLM worth your privacy (identify). on: March 23, 2019, 01:08:12 PM
My identity is precious to me than $25 worth of airdrop, what is the purpose of airdrop that is so difficult for participants to get, what xlm is asking is too much for $25 airdrop hopefully they can make it simpler for more people to take part.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet for Stellar?? on: March 23, 2019, 12:45:30 PM
I have used interstellar wallet and the experience was great, it is a very cool wallet, user friendly and well secured, the good part of it is that your can trade your XLM directly on the app without going to an exchange.
279  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do we need blockchain technology? on: March 09, 2019, 04:45:38 PM
Hello everyone.

When I see there are too many ICO and shitcoins on novaexchange. I keep asking myself: do we really need blockchain technology?

In case of Bitcoin. Of course, I agree.
What about ETH? I agree too.

But, have a look at the others on the market. I don't even know why should people use their service. There is no real use in real life.

An ad management system on blockchain? - We already had Google Ads & Facebook Ads.
A social network on blockchain? (steem) - Do we? I don't see anything but a centralized forum hosted on a random hosting using its currency to pay for the writers.

There are too many projects  that we don't really need it on blockchain.

Sometimes, I think there is a black swan (Blockchain is useless in real life) lurking around.
Out of all use case blockchain technology have you sited steem there are many project that has launched it's product on blockchain and have proven useful to real life use case blockchain transaction can't be erased it can be use to reduce corruption is some country also.
Blockchian can be used to conduct a good and credible election anywhere in the world, i will enjoy you to see a lot of possibilities which blockchain technology possess that is just few use case i stated above.
280  Economy / Marketplace / Re: $1 Billion Dollar’s Worth of Cryptocurrency Stolen in 2018 on: March 09, 2019, 04:12:33 PM
Cryptocurrency intelligence firm reported that CipherTrace’s Q3, 2018, cryptocurrency thefts had already reached $927 million.

Previously CipherTrace second-quarter report said, the company identified that there were more thefts during the first half of 2018 compared to the entire year of 2017 alone. Some $731 million worth of cryptocurrency was stolen from exchanges with some of the most notable hacks including that of Japanese exchange Coincheck at $530 million, and BitGrail that lost some $195 million dollars’ worth of tokens.

As of the Q3 report, the number now stands at $927 million lost in cyber attacks and CipherTrace predicts that this trend will continue. By the end of the year, they say, thefts will add up to well over $1 billion.
Security of wallet and exchanges should be given more attention, actually we have seen situation where bank have been hacked severally too, blockchain stakeholders and players should see banking flaws as opportunity to make blockchain technology more secured to draw peoples attention from old way of fund saving i.e banking system.
