Everyone saying Siacoin is probably bagholding a large amount - don't fall for their shill, SC is done... Do your own research before trusting what random people say on these forums (including me, lol) - a lot of people just shill away their coins hoping to breakeven on their bad investments.

Waves still need a lot of work (as all crypto coins i guess...), but it's nice to see that a few coins are already using their platform for funding and distributing tokens - means they're atleast doing something right and headed towards the right path..
I don't even own any, but i might in the future if the price seems right.

The fees are really getting out of hand... Bitcoin was meant to be the currency to go against that kind of thing - Now the miners who have a monopoly on the market act together and if it keeps going like this, soon enough bank transfers will be cheaper, lol... and if that time comes, bitcoin will be useless.

Just wait a few hours/days and it'll go back to normal, as usual. You also have to realize that while bitcoin grew only a few % during the week, some altcoins had INSANE bull runs - likEe NEO, OMG, IOTA, PAY, among others... Just don't try any fancy trades right now and wait it out (i'd even say that waiting it out in an altcoin you trust right now is better, i dont think bitcoin is gonna surge past 4k that easily and maintain it on the 1st try)

I think it's a good idea to introduce bitcoin to people with advertise on tv, because most of them still use tv to get information, in my own country bitcoin has already show on national tv, but the duration of viewing is still short so people do not fully understand about Bitcoin. Currently, actually bitcoin has been introduced on media, like magazines, web, social media, and even movies. I got to watch a movie called The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin. And I think movies are the most effective way to introduce bitcoin to the community.
TV brings in the masses, but it might be too early for that as ironic as it may sound... I dont know, maybe a slow and steady climb would be healthier long term than mass adoption out of blue from people who don't quite grasp the concepts yet.

If you're gonna invest in Bitcoin only, i suggest you just wait for a dip/lower price and just buy & hold for whatever amount of time you want. As most have pointed out, the market is unbeliveably crazy and unpredictable - a lot of people try to time it and end up losing a lot of money. But trading is fun to a lot of people aswell...and you might end up doing good with some luck + insight ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Hopefully things like this one don't become the norm from here on out... Fast transactions to anywhere in the world is a huge benefit for everyone, including people with malicious intentions i guess... And since bitcoin is the most well known coin out there, that's what they're gonna target unfortunately. With that being said, i don't see a reason for HBO to pay this, just let them release the scripts... I know i wouldn't read the spoilers anyways (unless the hackers are taking the 250k and also pointing out the flaws in their security, then it might be worth it).

Banks will see the value in the blockchain technology and try to get in themselves. They're not gonna try and destroy the whole crypto scene and maintain their old ways, because that's not gonna happen - it's widely spread already (still not mainstream, but more and more people learn about it everyday). Just this week, a bunch of companies started looking for programmers with experience in the blockchain industry (VISA being one of them). So they're trying to hop in, not destroy imo.

No one can predict with certainty whats gonna be the bottom of a dip, or the peak of a rally... Sure, some people do have more "educated guesses" than others, but that's about it. You can never claim you know for sure.. Analyzing a chart from the past is easy, predicting the future is impossible.

The safest wallet is the wallet on your PC but it is very inconvenient, takes a lot of space and is inferior in many respects to the exchange accounts. Especially in order to cash out or exchange your coins you will have to use the services of the exchange.
They serve different purposes though. Exchanges, as the name indicates, are meant for that. While wallets are meant to keep your money stored and safe. If you plan on trading or switching back and forth between different coins, keep it on an exchange, but know that you're accepting the higher risk that comes with the liquidity of your coins. In other words... store what you plan on holding long term, trade with whatever is left ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Nothing is certain in the crypto world... It's all too early to tell - even Bitcoin as the oldest coin is only 7 years old. Give it time to change and evolve...
With that said, some changes are kinda scary to the 'ecosystem'... We need to learn to do our own research and come up with our own opinions instead of blindly shilling one way or the other (especially on complex 'techy' matters such as the forks and the like)

Something that you also have to consider and i didn't see any mentions about: Be very careful when looking at a 1day or 7day chart - the coin might be down -100% but it could've surged up 500% a few days prior to that... So you're not really buying a coin that 'crashed', but a coin that had an unsustainable/unexpected growth and is not correcting its price.
For the truly 'crashed' coins - i'd personally stay away from them. They usually dont recover very well, and it might take a long time if they do.
