Official android wallet!?
I'm not going shopping with my laptop to make payments in the future if bytecoin becomes a usable token like BTC .
A wallet on my phone will be essential .

Hello!

The native mobile wallet should be released on 1st October but as you may see we've made a web wallet release before the deadline.
If you have any suggestion or design offer we r always happy to consider it! We r welcome any participation of our community in the development process.

Dear community,

As far as we received some messages about a dev team in this thread I have to make the situation clear.
Earlier I used to write that we’re the team of 4 full-time developers, freelance devs, cryptography expert a and a community manager . There’s no “old” or “new” team at all, it’s not a relationships where you can have a lot of “ex” and “present”. Bytecoin has a straight vector of development and none of those “old” and “new” once can change it. To calm those of you who are still wondering about the team: we do cooperate with all of the previous devs and the main ones of them are still with us at a main cast. There’s nothing to worry about.

Speaking about today’s temps of developing. Are those regular updates, releases and total quality of the project don’t prove the professional skills we have? Please, don’t spread the panic, we’re working every damn day to make BCN better than yesterday. And the results of the last two months are reflecting our efforts.

I think there’s no need to continue this discussion - there’ll always be some guys who wanna hate. We’ve got no time to pay attention on ‘em, we have to focus on the further development.

Jenny

Suggestion from our community

"Hi Bytecoiners,
I would like to suggest that you approach your favourite websites and write to them to use Bytecoin (BCN) as one of their donation channel.

Below is an example, which i believed is good to be used, as a template. Do change as per your requirements.

We as a community will be helping BCN to create the needs, when more and more people start using BCN, the demand for the coins will come automatically.

=============================================
Hi, i wanted to suggest an idea that could increase the amount of donations to your website.

Bytecoin (BCN) are essentially bitcoin but without all the flaws of bitcoin.

Not only is Bytecoin (BCN) similar to Bitcoin with faster transactions speeds (2 mins), but it is becoming more and more popular.

Unlike bitcoin which is traceable, Bytecoin (BCN) is totally untraceable and is the original anonymous cryptocurrency that was launched in 2012.

I'm sure most of your readers like me would love to donate but at the same time we would want to remain totally anonymous.

Do seriously consider using bytecoin (BCN) as one of your donation channel.

https://bytecoin.money (Web Wallet)
https://twitter.com/Bytecoin_BCN
https://www.reddit.com/r/BytecoinBCN/
https://telegram.me/bytecoinchat
=============================================

Give yourself the challenge to email at least 10 website.

445 members - 10% haters = 400 BCN community members
400 x 10 website = 4000 opportunity
4000 opportunity x 10% Agreed = 400 website

For 400 website, if 1 new user per day join BCN,  we will have around 11,200 new BCN investor every month."

Today I went to a cryptopia account to see my order and I get the notification
' BCN is being deleted. Close all orders and return the coins before 20 - 09-17 '
What happened to this exchange ?

This is the official Cryptopia answer!

As far as the people that know what they’re talking about have told me, our issue isn’t with Bytecoin, it’s code, reputation, market cap, nor it’s volume, it’s user’s, it’s followers or pages and pages of stuff. The reason is sadly, much more eye roll and head ache inducing than you can imagine… Poloniex doesn’t include a payment ID in its withdraws to Cryptopia which means that we can’t accept half our deposits due to not knowing wheres it’s coming from or where it’s destined – it’s just an amount that arrives in our hot wallet and is visible on the block chain. Some attentive people would see a transaction without a payment ID and then log support tickets knowing that without a PaymentID we couldn’t match it to a user account, within an hour often we would have 4-5 different support tickets from different users claiming the BCN sent to us from Polo was theirs.

To get around this for a while we simply sent transactions from Polo back to Polo, but this is cruel as it’s essentially forcing someone that wants to be our user to go and wait for Polo’s support team to respond. If you’re familiar with Polo, waiting for support is probably what caused them to try and withdraw from Polo and go to Cryptopia in the first place. For the sake of people wanting to move from Polo to Cryptopia, we simply can’t have BCN listed here; because through no fault of ours or yours, and even half due to the reasons you listed, BCN is a good currency to move wealth between exchanges, except when you’re withdrawing it from Polo to another exchange.

The Fees we get from BCN volume on our site doesn’t even start come close to the support overhead BCN causes us, and the negative reputation we get for “stealing peoples coins” because without PaymentIds our hands are tied. While folks are stuffing their bags with BCN and fleeing Polo, I don’t really know what else we can do – as inconvenient as it is to both of us; can you suggest any alternative?

How do you see option for users to get in a way: Polo->BCN Web Wallet -> Cryptopia .
I know its not technical solution but it could be work arround or Polo-> BCN Web Wallet is also not possible?

We've suggested the same to Cryptopia and now we r in process of communication and trying to find the golden mean.

The Web Wallet release

Meet the first and the most important integration in the Bytecoin ecosystem.
Developers from the community in collaboration with the official Bytecoin team have released their First Bytecoin Web Wallet.

http://www.bytecoin.money

Fast transaction, user-friendly design, and no-synch process allow you to make the next step in BCN usability.

If the Web Wallet turns popular we will proceed with its further development.
Such features are in your hands: Integrate the changelly button that will allow you to buy your favorite coin directly from the wallet, top up mobile with one click, etc.

Now everything depends on you and your activity.

Develop wallet with your engagement.

Seems like people are not exited by road map, because no serious buying is coming, or may be wrong timing to release as money is leaving market.
Also, will you be able to launch untraceable token before Zcash and ETH do? Because they are also working on untraceable tokens

Dear All,

Have not been here for ages.

The great reason why the buying is not taking place is that the development team is showing loud and clear that it is not able to deliver any fundamental answer to the clearly argued statements in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=740112.0 (Blowing the lid off the CryptoNote/Bytecoin scam)

That they would have given an answer, if they could, is manifest from their website posting at https://bytecoin.org/news/bytecoin-2.0.2-software-update/ which shows that there are some good coders in the team, which could have studied the problem and provided an answer, if they wished and had something meaninful to say.

"No meaninful answer" seems to indicate at this moment that some of them are either still involved into that scheme (not willing to repent about what was done) or that the team does not want to publicly severe all ties with the past and make some efforts to somehow openly deal with that situation to the benefit (and not losses) of the buyers.

Just a few years ago, the development crew admitted that it is not "in their interests" to judge about the past things.

It may be read as the indirect acknowledgment of what was done.

An excerpt from the correspondence, put online by someone, which took place a few years ago with the developers:

"Good afternoon,

I was hoping to hear more details about the developers of ByteCoin.
There are rumors and fear being spread around online saying that
basically 80% of the ByteCoins were ninja-mined from 2012 up until BCN's
recent "public release". I'm not sure how a cryptocoin is supposed to
survive if it was mined to 80% by a smaller group of people. I can
confirm on the blockchain that 83% of the coins are mined already, but I
was wondering if CryptoNote had any historical information or more
details about working with ByteCoin devs? Who and how many people
actually mined these 154 billion coins?

Thank you for your time,
*****
Dear *****,
It is not of our interest to judge the decisions of Bytecoin developers and its outcomes...."

https://www.reddit.com/r/BytecoinBCN/comments/6cxz55/going_down_the_rabbit_hole_an_exploration_of/

Must it not be in the interest of the developpers to speak up (through their representatives) openly and meaninfully, in detail, about what was done, or what was not done, and why?

Now, the point is:

what has the bytecoin team done to deal with the problems of the past since its reappearance in May and midsummer?

Dear sqbit,

I really appreciate your small “dirty’’ PR efforts for us. “The history of PR is a history of a battle”

But I have just one question.
How long are you going to reproach us with the link and information dated 3 years ago? It's silly!  Why didn’t you find smth new? It would help you to scare off the newbies.
If you claim that BCN is a scam. What r you even doing here?

As I promised to the Dx user in Telegram ( You should join our channel and meet him personally as haters should hate together) I’ll write a huge refutation of all this paranoic article from 2014 to explain to the users that it was just a competitor's back-door actions (not willing to repeat who it was).

Stay tuned if you wanna know the TRUTH!

Cheers,
Jenny G

The New Bytecoin Software Release!

Version 2.1.0 for BytecoinD & WalletD and  Version 1.1.9.1 for Bytecoin Wallet!

https://github.com/amjuarez/bytecoin/blob/master/ReleaseNotes.txt

https://bytecoin.org/downloads/

Last BCN update is lame.
Daemon can't synt for 3 days.

AVOID and stay @ previous ver.

Very good news that Poloniex has solved issues with deposit and withdrawn! Meaning the new version should be working fine and passed audit.
However, I had problems in synchronising the blockchain with the previous version as well. Wallet does not start anymore.
What shall I do? I just don't want to remove the downloaded blockchain as it will take forever to do it again. Please advise.

It's not necessary to make a synch from the scratch. You can download the latest blockchain, setup it using readme file and launch your wallet. It won't take more than several hours to make a full synch using that method. Kindly follow the link to download it:
