261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin. Secure, private, untraceable since 2012 on: March 27, 2018, 11:17:41 PM
I found that there was a currency on the market that had the same name bytecoin, and would it be confused?

262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Spectrecoin[XSPEC] TOR+OBFS4, Ring Sig, Stealth! on: March 26, 2018, 09:02:47 PM
SpectreCoin will be going through changes as a result of the earlier announcement by Project Manager Mandica
This statement was released today .

IMPORTANT UPDATE

That means that if you do not update to the new version of XSPEC you will NOT be able to
deposit or withdraw XSPEC from the exchanges after the changes have been implemented.

@jbg will continue to develop under the ticker WISP and as the network splits everyone will get an
equal share of XSPEC and the new WISP. So, if you hold 1 XSPEC before the network split youwill have 1 WISP as well after. So, if you own XSPEC you will also own WISP.

I have a question about the HardFork as the network splits and  everyone will get an
equal share of XSPEC and the new WISP
Question: If I hold XSPEC coins on an exchange- will the WISP be created/ credited to my account on the exchange?

I think better will co-operate with exchange admins and resolve the problems than delist.

Agree!
I think an exchange for encrypted digital currency is beneficial to the market and to increase the number of transactions. Even if Stock.Exchange has some problems, it can be solved by negotiation. It's not a good way to quit.

maybe try to list on https://btc-alpha.com/coin-listing/

I was in the ICO - but missed it due to whatever technical reason , however Richard Ma's (burningman principle) idea that he introduced to the crypto sector
"Proof of Care"  they really believe in community and support and follow through with that , so I am invested for the long run (thanks guys for the airdrop) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0C3KI40p1c
I see the niche that QSP fulfills and will be investing more at these early levels
they are "first to the market"

If you are working with a budget of under 1000$ I would say try an Avalon 741.
Obviously run your numbers through a profit calculator, but these units are supposed to be more reliable and if the price increases again your ROI will decrease.

still looking

Are you the latest source of old news or is this a new source of old news. Fact everybody knows that it's been compromised people knew it was going to be compromised before it even happened and they still continue to put their money in that site.

To Be (a prick) or Not To Be

271  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Sept 2017 - what's the most cost efficient set up in today's terms on: September 25, 2017, 04:28:46 PM
I am researching hardware to buy and mine Bitcoin & maybe some Alt coins

my power costs me  0.1111c per 1 kWh

looking at multiple Raspberry Pi set up and comparing with Antminer D3

I am newbie to mining but I own Bitcoin and want to pull my weight/support the network and earn some more coins

please advise what rigs are good in today's terms ( price of power :  difficulty of mining : cost of hardware )

also tell me what DOES NOT WORK  now  or is simpluy not worth the time & effort

Apologize in advance if this question has been asked before , however the answer must change with the variables

Price of Bitcoin rising
new hardware available
cost of old hardware declining?
&
price of power

p.s. My budget is under a thousand dollars but all answers are welcome in this thread apart from flaming answers
