Well sadly yes, criminal or coruptor using the money and buy bitcoin for money laundry. I'm sure at least 1 person already do that out there but i think people already smart nowdays and police are know about bitcoin and can detect it if the suspect caught using bitcoin or have a bitcoin wallet.

Try reading the white paper to see if they have great potential, to make sure they will be listed on the exchange well, if not recorded means a scam, that's my opinion.

eth and bitcoin are for different purposes... both could have a good future ahead, depending on how things go. for myself, i like eth more, cos of it's greater potential for industry disruption.

Just take the demo account in the trading get to know some basics in the trading and buy altcoins in the exchanges.
