Just moved back, as after 'testing the water' it seemed to be detecting the added worker. Hopefully just another brief hiccup. Part of the fun.

My 'estimated reward' is totally wrong, less than 50% of my proportional share. The reported hash rate seems to be correct. I'm not sure if my shares are reaching the pool and counted or not. Just to be on the safe side, I'm shifting my workers elsewhere until this clears up.

Just received a pair of S1's with super-fast delivery from Bitmain. Ordered on the evening of 26 of May, and they arrived mid-day today (29 May). UPS seems to be so much better in delivery to Australia than the DHL/Aust post combination. Both Ants working without any drama. They had some 'spare' thermal paste and a few screws between the ASIC boards and the heatsinks could be a bit tighter, but these are minor issues. Thanks again Bitmain!

Hi guys what is the reason for block 22148 to become invalid...thanks In some rare events, 2 different pools (or miners) solve the block (or report solving the block) at the same time. In the 'photo finish', one is the winner, and the other has an 'invalid' block... this was our case with this one Cheers

I want to try this, but whether it will crash with avast anti-virus?
I run Avast free without any issues on more than 1 machine. Make sure to uninstall your old AV and use CCleaner or something to clean your registry before installing Avast. you are using win 7 x86? Win 7 x64 Pro No problem with AVG free on Win7 x64 Pro

Anyone else noticing a smaller reward for block 302600? Mine is nearly cut in 1/3 compared to my recent avg. but there are 60+ confirms left...just wanted to know if it was on my side of the pool or if more than myself are seeing this. Thanks!
Mine was ok for this one, within the normal variance (actually 1.4% above my proportional share). Cheers

Interesting idea. Horizontal allows better stacking on shelves/racks. If oriented vertically you need to use a single layer with unobstructed airflow below and above - appears less practical.

Difficulty increased by 18% to 10455720138. Crank that handle a bit harder....

QG, Thanks for clarifying that, so per SP10 the customs/GST was half (875/2). I suspect that 6.5 BTC is beyond any ROI. A rough guess, attempting to look into the crystal ball of difficulty rise predictions is something like 5.36 BTC to 'just breakeven'.

look for this reg key - I deleted it to reset my settings: (be careful if you're not familiar with regedit - but it sounds like you are)
My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MAntMonitor
You may need to restart Windoze to accept the registry change. Just deleting the key may not be sufficient.

How much was the duty on these for Australia? Would you accept payment in AUD?

I found that some Antminer S1's had loose screws holding the blade ASIC boards to the heatsinks. Gently tightening these with the right size Allen wrench can improve the thermal path. You could swap power supplies between your Ants to see if that is the factor in your case. My impression is that different Ants tolerate different settings in their own way. Despite these differences, it is a great miner, reliable and very cost effective.

specking your power supply is very important as i found out, since i fried my 800W as i was pulling ay to many amps on the 5V rail. melting smoke aint funny. as a rule of thumb always asume psu are only 80% efficient. so with a 550W dont go above 440W and obviously pay not on the amp rating of the psu as 550W not the whole power supply but more likely 470W only for the 12V rail. RIP odin....
I guess you friend used alot of Molex to PCI-E converters right? no that would be me. and no drillbitsystem to blame. was the usb eruptors fault, was pulling way to much on the one 5V rail Sorry about your power supply, I guess the 'lessons learnt' are to make sure you don't go beyond the specs, use some protection (like add a fuse on that 5V line, in case one of the hubs shorts out) and measure your actual consumption to detect the overload before the smoke.... Cheers
