261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 0.02 BTC for anyone who has ATI OpenCL APP SDK for Windows XP on: February 16, 2014, 01:11:35 AM
If you're going to CPU mine, DO NOT mine scrypt (kinda pointless now).  Mine a CPU restricted coin otherwise you're pretty much just spinning your wheels.

Most cpu coins can be mined with gpu's now.  unless there is something new I'm not aware of.

Yes but not efficiency enough, still better to mine with CPU then GPU...
262  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Is it safe to use 8 pin CPU rail as a 8 pin pci-e (of course with a convertor)? on: February 16, 2014, 01:08:23 AM
I know that a 8 pin pci-e rail has 150 watt. How about a 8 pin CPU rail?

I have a 6gpu setup and for my second PSU I'm trying to utilize the 2 8-pin CPU rails:

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Better to use molex and convert it to 8-pin.
263  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is mining for a day at Full speed the same as mining for 2 days at half speed? on: February 15, 2014, 05:27:55 PM
If you drive a car at 40 mph for 2 hours and another car at 80 mph for one hour, which one goes farther?

40 mph for 2 hours cause you would meet some driver which go at the speed of 30 mph which force you to slow down..

265  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Selling GHs to cex.io? on: February 12, 2014, 12:44:18 PM
Did anyone try to sell their GHs there and got anything?
It doesn't get very clear from the homepage how it works and the registration fails for me.

what do you mean? I though you can only sell the GH/s that you bought?
This is a very confusing topic...

272  Economy / Economics / Re: Killer app for bitcoin on: February 12, 2014, 12:19:19 PM
Hello Everyone,
I was just reading a post of Edan Yago and I started thinking about this : Bitcoin still has not produced a killer app
Why don't we make a simple program which adds a bar-code to the end of each video for tipping the users, which is very easy to use by everyone. People producing video's will have the incentive to use it as they'll get money, people who really like some videos will have a chance to easily tip the producers and the community will benefit from the expanded adoption of bitcoin.
What do you think about it? Is there anyone interested in creating such a product?
Sincerely,
Shenol

What is a killer app?

276  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: cex.io VS bit-mining.io on: February 03, 2014, 03:21:17 AM
I would like to spend 1BTC in GHS and I've noticed that on bit-mining the Ghs/BTC rate is 0.025 instead of 0.034 of CEX. I'm oriented on bit-mining due the lower price... Am i wrong?

What should i care about? Fees? Difficulty rate?

Any help will be greatly appreciated  Smiley

CEX hash is overpriced. You are better of investing in bit-mining instead...
277  Economy / Speculation / Re: Each time i sold i lost on: February 03, 2014, 02:38:50 AM
I donīt have many btc and i believe in the crypto currency.

Every time i sold ( trying to rebuy cheaper ) because most of the topics where talking about capitulation, China ban, Russia ban, etc, etc, etc, finished loosing.

So i will HOLD, if it gets 10k or more i will sell and if not i will keep them in a pendrive till usb ports be obsolete.

Maybe itīs just iīm a noob trading, but needed to tell my experience.

Well, everybody does that mistake. Just HOLD!!
278  Other / Off-topic / Re: Any Legit ways to make money online? on: January 29, 2014, 12:51:47 AM
My parents have just let me know that they wont be paying for my rent next semester at school so I will need to make up the money. I will be getting a job but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas where I could make up the other 150-200 a month I need to pay for rent and food. I would prefer no bullshit survey websites that pay 10 cents for an hour survey, but I guess all ideas are appreciated. It needs to be something I can do in my freetime since I will be balancing school and a job. Thanks in advance!

You can choose the monthly signature advertising like mine so you won't spend too much time on this forum and you can look for part time jobs...
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: cryptsy - why is this site so slow? on: January 20, 2014, 12:36:03 PM
Hello, do anyone now why this site is so slow?
Slow loading, slow sendings, slow confirmation?

I send 3 hours ago btc to cryptsy, its since 3 hours on Pending Deposit with now 6 confirmations.
On other sides it took 30 minutes.

What is wrong with this site?

Too much people using the site, just wait for them to upgrade their server...
