Yes this coin is dead, no active connections on the network. DEAD to me.

It's working fine for me.  I even found a few blocks
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZET] Zetacoin - SHA256 coin - Pools up - Quick confirmations on: September 24, 2013, 11:11:15 PM
As a community we need to up the standard for coin releases.  ZET had/has great potential and showed that a SHA coin could survive in the space.
What we have not seen is active development or planning.  Everything seems to have stopped after this coin was dumped. Please address your plans for this coin, how you will help to bring services up for it.
Or.
Be clear and allow folks that have invested in this coin know that it was just another release of a copy coin.

~Bob.

The coin was minted too fast. Most of the inital coins are mined and still no meaningful services use ZET. If its going to survive the people who are holding zet need to sell it for btc and invest the btc into zet services. This will promote zet and distribute the coins. Right now most of the 160 mil is going to be held by a small group of people who are initial zet supporters. They need to stop holding and hoping for a price surge because they are hurting the coin.

Giskard gave out rewards for setting up services which were mostly donations.  He promoted the coin in a positive way.

He visits the #ZetaCoin chat on freenode and chats with us and you can too  Grin

This coin is progressing on its own path now.  Right now we should be spreading the word and telling people how to mine their own ZET.  It's a good coin for anyone just starting to mine coins.

The coin is a blank canvas and we are deciding the future of the coin.  We need to find new and innovative ways to promote the coin.

A good step is trying to get ZET on coinpayments.net

I'm sorry but if your plan is to get more people to mine then this coin is going to fail. There is no mining incentive long term. The block reward is going to halve again soon and in a few months we'll be down to the inflationary coins only. Nobody new is going to all of a sudden start mining a coin that offers such a small reward. You should be concentrating on distributing the coins that already exist instead of trying to make more. There are 120+ million in circulation. Most of them sit in wallets. Thats a problem and its going to be the downfall of this coin.

You're such the Debby downer...

What kind of hash rate should I expect from a 7970? I have 2.
Its showing 2.3Mhash for each card. Temps are low at I 20. only 65'C when normally they are 70'C and 80'C with regular scrypt.

looks about right I'm getting 4.4 on a 7990

278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Multi Cryptocoin Payment Processing [21 coins][Public Beta] on: September 20, 2013, 09:09:08 PM
Why do you want to vote?
In a money buisiness value and volume counts.
If your server could only manage 21 Coins at the same time, i would suggest it is better
to support the 21 Coins listed by daily volume (maybe also AVG of 7 days)

http://coinmarketcap.com/

that would be better for your buisnness than a vote which possibly biased.

greetings

It's sounds like they value our input.  Which any smart company should do  Wink

TIX is a unique crypto currency being the only scrypt-jane with random block rewards for the first several hundred thousand blocks. It is a collective effort of several prominent developers that have experience both creating and maintaining networks for coins. Not only does this provide solid coding for the coin itself, but also the knowledge and experience to keep the network going and patch any issues, should they arise.

The development team will remain anonymous at this point, but will continue to monitor and maintain both the code and network better than any other developer or development team can. Our team is comprised of individuals that are responsible for no fewer than 20 coins currently being exchanged. Mine and trade with confidence of instant transactions knowing that this coin is backed by the best, and only the best. We don’t want this coin to succeed based on our reputations of releasing very solid and profitable coins. This one will speak for itself!

I don't think your rpc port matches the port in the src
