261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One Month of Accepting Bitcoin for Payment on: December 09, 2022, 02:48:35 PM
Congrats. This was the best thing you could do for your business and for Bitcoin. This way you are contributing to the network as well as you are also getting the chance of accummulating some coins. I guess you could also add a couple more crypto options as well. Anything but eth 😆
262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is the most Preferred Choice on: December 09, 2022, 08:34:49 AM
Bitcoin was a gift from Satoshi to the world. It is the most perfect asset to this day as it gives the power back to the people as well as it presents an hadge against the current system constant inflation.
263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Qatar World Cup Betting Tips on: December 08, 2022, 11:32:14 PM

In my opinion, Brazil will win the match against Croatia by one goal margin, which means the score will be 2-1 at the end of the game.

[/quote]

Well, how accurate could you get? How can you possibly tell that Brazil will come out as a winner with the difference of one goal? I mean, it could happen but I do not believe that. We will either see a match with a lot of middle field play with both players creating chances to score or they may have to go for some extra time. Both teams should score at least one goal. Its eiher this or a draw at half time. These would be the bets I consider value bets
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / PayPal hand to hand with Cryptos on: December 08, 2022, 07:08:00 PM
Great news for the crypto community!

It looks like PayPal has unapologetically joined the crypto world! The Industry leader announced it was opening crypto services in the coming days through its Luxemburg branch.
PayPal users in the country will be able to buy and sell cryptos through their EU- Based PayPal accounts.

"The introduction of this service offers Luxembourgish customers a new way to explore cryptocurrency in the PayPal environment they know and trust and provides customers access to educational content to help answer commonly asked questions and better understand the opportunities and risks associated with cryptocurrencies. Once available, eligible customers will be able to buy, sell and hold Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash in their PayPal accounts via the website or the mobile app. PayPal’s cryptocurrency services were first launched in the U.S. in 2020 and expanded to the U.K. in 2021."
265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I Disliked Bitcoin on: December 08, 2022, 03:05:30 PM
I've known Bitcoin since 2012 but started using it in 2019, though it was still for payments (funding and withdrawal) of online Forex trading, nothing more because I was careful to deal with something that might aid illegality. I later discovered that I was naive at that time, the latest development/revolution in Bitcoin made me ever feel bad and I had lost a lot of opportunities in the past to this.

The lesson learned was that it is better to move closer to what is new to us than to be condemning it from afar. Can you imagine that despite having enough money to invest in the cryptocurrency between 2019 -2021, I was adamant that I wouldn't because I believed Bitcoin aids legalities like trafficking, money laundering, terrorism, activities of drug barons, and many more. I forgot to think that as it has its advantages, it also has its disadvantages, no system works perfectly.

Thanks to the present-day awareness, development and regulations that make it clear that Bitcoin is not as porous as I thought. 95% of my only transactions are now crypto-based.

I love to read your stories about Bitcoin adoption too!

I actually know what the pain is when you miss the train. I first heard about Bitcoin in 2010. Back then I was too naive as I did not bothered to investigate about it and promptly dismissed it due to thinking it was all but a scam. That was a big mistake as later in 2013 I got in and it was late... I ended up missing some good deals to it.
266  Economy / Gambling / Re: chinese bookmakers with tf gaming platform NO KYC on: December 08, 2022, 08:51:39 AM
I actually do not no about chinese bookies. I thought it was illegal in the country. I know they have a gambling culture and not every chinese can travel to Macau to go to the casino. Now, as for bet 365, it is a fully regulated sports book with KYC.

The favourite should be the one to be awarded.  Steven Spielberg is one of the best movie directors ever and the Fabelmans looks like a great movie. My bet goes to the Fabelman for best movie.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: newbie invest on: December 07, 2022, 10:54:39 PM
I have 2 BNB, what is a good project to invest in? Something with utility, no shit coins

You could invest those onto Litecoin. Litecoin is one of the most reliable altcoins out there but is now extremely undervalued. If you buy now you will get them at a good price. Just hold them, and on the next cycle you will make 10 times profit in dollars

269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin no longer be Bitcoin if it were adopted by everyone in the world ? on: December 07, 2022, 10:46:19 PM
Assume one day, Bitcoin would be the only survivor as cryptocurrency in the world and each individual, company, organization and goverment would abandon all fiats/currencies and take Bitcoin as the only payment. When all obstacles were gone, Bitcoin would actually become a combination of both fiat and investment asset. However, as demand and supply were not to fluctuate much, the price of Bitcoin would be really stable and the value of investment would deteriorate. The two factors/purposes (fiat vs investment asset) will be contradicting each other all the time. If that happened, what's the point of making Bitcoin worldwide acceptable while losing its value and nature of Bitcoin ?  Metaphorically speaking, the hunting dog may be killed when all prey animals are gone.

What is your opinion ? Please let me know. Thanks.

I guess the whole purpose of Bitcoin is not to be the only currency in the world.
According to Satoshi, Bitcoin should be an alternative to the fiat system rather than a replacement. As one of the posters said, we live in a centralized world and it would be very unlikely for governments to accept a decentralized currency that they could not control. This is very true. Now, the reason Bitcoin is more attractive as an investment than a currency is due to the nature of Bitcoin.
Given that its value comes from the demand and the offer around it to make it useful, scarcity and volatility drives people to hold it rather than to spend it as a currency.

Qatar World Cup Quarter finals Tips

Netherlands - Argentina

Argentina is the top dog in this match, however, at this stage of the World Cup, they face an opponent who is going through a beautiful moment. It should be noted that the two teams have very offensive game models. That said, the most likely scenario for this match will be for both teams to score at least one goal.

Both Teams Score

Croacia - Brazil

It's true that Croatia has an interesting squad and will present as a fierce rival, however, the opponent team is much more gifted. We should note that Brazil has shown a good level in recent games, having scored a total of seven goals in the last four games played. In this way, it will not be surprising that Neymar and company can use their experience in the field and end up scoring a few goals. That said, I believe that a sure bet will be Brazil to win the game, However, a value bet would be Brazil to win at half time.

Brazil to Win

England - France

I'm expecting to see a very balanced game. Even so, the offensive moment of the two squads has been absolutely incredible. In addition, the two selections have an excellent ability to respond to a possible disadvantage, so I believe the most likely scenario for this match will be for both teams to score at least one goal.

Both Teams Score

Portugal - Morocco

The Portuguese team is the top dog for these quarterfinals, and it is natural that they will create several opportunities to score. On the other hand, Morocco must has been showing a defensive mentality, having their men looking for spaces for possible counterattacks. Having this in mind, I believe we will see several goals in this match. In this scenario and looking for the odds, I believe that both teams score is a value bet

Quote
"Silicon Valley Venture Capital Godfather" Tim Draper (Tim Draper) believes that people will turn to high-quality and decentralized cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, and some weaker cryptocurrencies will become historical relics.
Due to the tightening of monetary policy by the Federal Reserve and the knock-on effect of the bankruptcy of major industry companies such as Terra, Celsius and FTX, the crypto market is full of fraud, black gold politics and various conspiracy theories. I'm personally on the sidelines, but still have a lot of confidence. The pool of crypto markets is getting cleaner and cleaner.
In this earthquake in the encryption market, people's awareness is getting higher and higher. God said that the disaster is that people become smarter and see scams more and more clearly instead of pure trust. Altcoins are becoming more and more Like a mainstream currency, if you are a liar, you have to be a liar with a high IQ.
As a government, it will also make the encryption market more orderly through various regulations. There is no doubt that Bitcoin has had a huge impact on the global economic order.
The early dividend period of Bitcoin is over, and the next is the stable period. What are your views on the future? I clearly know that the persistence of beliefs is often not so strong, and few people can hold Bitcoin for a long time.

This is what actually been going on since the first time an altcoin was created. It was a means to get bitcoin right from the start for the majority. Many of the guys who got in late got in with altcoins. This is what I have done ever since I started with Bitcoin. When I got in, Bitcoin mining was already done with ASICS, so I have mined a lot of altcoins and once I had them, I would immediately exchange them for Bitcoin and increase my Hodlings.
272  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning how to code in order to automate trading strategies, is it worth? on: December 07, 2022, 08:35:26 PM
If you are not a coder there is no point in struggling to learn how to code only for the purpose of automating trading strategies. You have a lot of crypto trading bots outhere so you do not need to learn how to code.

While on some trading bots you can already find a lot of pre-determined trading strategies that you can easily apply at a click of a button, in others all you need to do is to set up the trading strategy and you're good to go. But remember that you will need to learn how to set it up properly, so you should follow the instructions they provide.

I especially enjoy Quadency but you can find other platforms. Here's a list of crypto trading Bots.

FINAL RESULTS

Portugal 6 - Switzerland 1

Both Teams Score

WIN

This was an amazing game, where Portugal had the chance of showing their newest player generation. They're bound to go to the final if they keep playing this way.

Morocco 0 - Spain 0 (penalties 3:0)

Both Teams Score

LOSS

This was a game that Spain ended up losing due to being stuck at the defence fearful of the Morrocan counterattacks. Both teams did score but it was after the 90 minutes so I lost the bet. Even so, I still had a good profit due to the Odds for the Portugal - Switzerland match
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Candidates for the WORLD CUP 2022 Winner on: December 07, 2022, 06:31:58 PM
After the game yesterday, I am strongly in favour of seeing the portuguese team on the world cup's final. The portuguese new player generation seems to have a lot to give, so hopefully they'll easily get to the final and if everything goes well we will take the cup home!
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Qatar world cup Final Predictions on: December 07, 2022, 03:00:23 PM
Portugal had an amazing and surprising game yesterday. They are alredy set to play against Morocco on tge quarter ginals. This is the first time for both teams they have managed to get to the quarter finals on a world cup, so we should expect to see an amazing match.

Portugal has a great team. It is not Ronaldo. It is the new generation of portuguese players and coach Santos was able to use it as a surprise. Now, what do you guys say? Will we see Portugal on the final?

Before you come here to do such accusations you should gather some proof. Pointing the finger without any proof whatsoever is just playing dirty.
277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Negative Relationship Between the Monetary System and Bitcoin on: December 06, 2022, 05:34:26 PM
Since Bitcoin's inception the current monetary system saw   this as a threat. It was immadiatelly tied to organized crime a money washing. Throughout the years this relationship has gotten worse and now regulators are on the lookout for new regulation that may stiff the isdustry development.
278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't a religion. on: December 06, 2022, 08:51:58 AM
Bitcoin is not a religion, but there are a lot of Bitcoin evangelists and crypto acolytes. I'm one of them.
Apart from science, Bitcoin is my religion and I'll do anything I can to pass the Bitcoin word along.

FINAL RESULT

JAPAN - CROACIA

BRAZIL - SOUTH KOREA

JAPAN - CROACIA

Both Teams Score

WIN

BRAZIL - SOUTH KOREA

BRAZIL to Win at Halftime

WIN

Was able to clean these two at very good odds and as I was predicting ended up hitting a very pleasant profit.

For tomorrow we have 2 more games:

Portugal vs Switzerland  & Morocco vs Spain

Here are my predictions:

Portugal - Switzerland

Portugal has a squad of higher quality and a few players that may cause genuine pain to the opponent squad. However, not much confidence in its defensive sector. In addition, Switzerland has a very interesting offensive sector, with some chances of goals through counterattacks being natural. So, I believe both teams' score option is a value bet for this one.

Both Teams Score

Morocco - Spain

The most likely scenario for this match will be for both teams to score at least one goal. We should see a game led by the Spaniards. However, the selection of Morocco showed it had a good offensive squad in the group stage and should manage to scare the opponent in this round. My option goes to the Both Teams Score market as I see it as a value bet.

280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto for beginners: Don't believe these four myths when learning about crypto on: December 05, 2022, 08:38:10 PM
I saw this article on a different site, the guy did drop some really interesting points some were a little hard for me to understand though so I decided to bring it to this forum. A link to the article will be provided at the end of this thread.

Myth 1: Crypto is trying to replace fiat money:

Personally I don't see this as a myth, crypto isn't trying to replace fiat money  there's a high chance it will. For those that don't know, fiat money are national currencies that are controlled by the government and backed up by a commodity like gold. In other words, fiat money are just physical currencies. I feel there will come a time where fiat money won't be needed it's just 2022 and the need for fiat money have already began to reduce, most transactions are now done through cashless transfers.

Myth 2: Crypto is just for speculation:

I didn't really understand this point. Is he talking about crypto being based on speculative investments? I'm hoping someone here would explain this better.

Myth 3: Crypto is one big scam and ponzi scheme:

Honestly I found this funny, do people still think crypto is scam? If it we were still in 2010 then no problem you're right to be skeptical about it. I don't think crypto can even be classified as a Ponzi scheme because, unlike most Ponzi schemes it doesn't depend on the number of new investors to maintain its Value. Yes they are alot of crypto related scams like; fake links especially on Facebook, fake crypto exchanges etc. The guy also mentioned some others in the article.

Myth #4: Crypto has no intrinsic value:

I'm actually very interested in this particular point. Is this a myth?, Does crypto actually have an intrinsic value. First of all Intrinsic value is the measure of an investment based on its cash flows. For crypto to have an intrinsic value doesn't it have to be backed by a commodity? ( E.g: Gold) like how most fiat currencies are.
I'll be quoting his last line here. "if you really think crypto doesn’t have any intrinsic value, then you’ll have to believe that fiat currencies don’t either.".

Like I said earlier, I'd love to here your opinion on this especially the last line.

https://mikewchan.medium.com/crypto-for-beginners-dont-believe-these-four-myths-when-learning-about-crypto-1a9e1aa0e936

That's the link to the article above.

Myth 1: Crypto is trying to replace fiat money

Crypto or Bitcoin for that matter, is not trying to replace fiat. Rather than replacing it, Bitcoin is an amazing alternative to the current fiat financial system. It knows no boundaries and no flags, so it's an alternative system that is just a different option for those who do not want to use fiat

Myth 2: Crypto is just for speculation

Fiat is also made of speculation. Any asset that has a lot of offer and demand can be used for speculation, so in that sense Fiat and cryptos are much alike

Myth 3: Crypto is one big scam and ponzi scheme

Fiat is the biggest fraud and the biggest Ponzi ever created but everyone trusts it... so why do we are constantly pledged by inflation?Huh?

Myth #4: Crypto has no intrinsic value

Of course Bitcoin has intrinsic value. Saying that it doesn't it is the biggest fallacy you can hear. As long as it can be used as a means of exchange it has an intrinsic value. Anything that has utility also has intrinsic value
