Hi Armis, thanks! Sending you a PM.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN] the Internet of Coins on: October 18, 2014, 11:13:22 PM

WHAT The Internet of Coins aims to create a decentralized, self-sustaining economy by implementing intersystemic connectivity. Not through centralized exchanges, nor federated partnerships, or multigateways, but sustained by a hybrid P2P meta-network to leverage each of its participant's strength in numbers. Our dream is to integrate all coins into an interconnected and financially liquid nervous system.

WHY Our goal is to make every cryptocurrency autonomously part of a large swarm of decentralized economic activity. We want to do this by enabling every cryptocurrency user to create hybrid assets that interconnect value systems and blockchains. We believe there are also some useless cloned coins and assets out there, however, we see a numerous amount of innovations with valuable technology worth saving from abandonment. This provides users with an easy to use way of transferring value, while  providing businesses with a backend solution for accepting multiple  currencies.

HOW The parallel network will be run by anyone that uses the hybridd daemon. Being an allocator and part of the network is rewarded through network fees. Existing wallets and technologies need no changes or adaptations at all to have their blockchains and value systems hooked into this decentralized network. The current developments in cryptocurrencies are brimming with creativity, and we would like to see this continue in parallel, without imposing any limits. Please read our whitepaper for more details.

The team:

We are Joachim de Koning, Robert de Groot, Jelle Herold, Amadeus de Koning and Sergey Kazenyuk. You can read more about us on the Team page.

Current developments:

We started in the beginning of the summer of 2014. A working prototype, Hybrid Assets has been online with a prototype asset 'Stormwind' since June 2014.
Our website came online at the end of August 2014. It is our main communication channel where we talk about the project in our blogs. You can also converse with us via Twitter.

From August onwards, we started spreading news about the project at conferences and began talks with initial investors. November 1st 2014, we released a press release announcing an investment and development partnership from Bitalo. On the 6th birthday of the blockchain, January 3rd 2015, we released our whitepaper and became the first officially supported project of the Dutch Bitcoin Embassy.

Do you have a whitepaper?

Yes. You can download it from our website.

Can I personally invest?

Not as of now. We are currently in the pre-launch phase, where we prefer to work with entrepreneurs and companies that are willing to pioneer with us and can bear risk. If you are an entrepreneur or investor, feel free to contact us. We do not want any user to bet his wage on the financial risks of a newly established project, but aim for an evolutionary growth. When we have secured enough pre-launch capital to ensure continuous development, it will be possible to buy into the hybrid assets used to bootstrap the system.

What sets you apart from other projects?

By being a distributed autonomous organisation, instead of a foundation or corporation, we want to ensure the impartial evolution of this project. In our project there is no discrimination. Any cryptocurrency, or even  ledgerless technology, can be hooked into the Internet of Coins in order for an open market to develop. We avoid blockchain bloat by utilizing a parallel P2P communications network.

The system does not require the existing technology behind a blockchain to be adapted or updated. Our approach is modular and aims at setting solid standards in the cryptosphere on which next generation financial solutions can be built. We are building a technology for participants in the cryptosphere to use on their own. This is a system which is open source and can be used as a transaction tool by any company or person, either directly or as a backend solution.

A while back we shared our vision in an article on Cointelegraph.

Feel free to ask questions!

What? Nobody responded to this?

Between all the scam and crud found on Bitcointalk, your development is a breath of fresh air.
This is bloody cool! Keep up the good work. Smiley

"Internet of Blockchains"? Haha, that looks exactly like what we're already working on for months.

http://internetofcoins.org

Although this appears to be just cross-chain transactions, while XBridge is cross-node enablement

Oh snap!

The Internet of Coins / Hybrid Assets methods enable the transaction of value across ledger-based (blockchain) systems, as well as ledgerless systems. So in essence it goes much further than an Internet of Blockchains. However, XBridge also looks interesting. Perhaps they can be used in sync.

Looking at Coinmarketcap Flappycoin is suddenly worth $ 21,881,315.

Now who's secretly been buying up all these FLAPs?
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry: Privacy and Security - Guaranteed[Bittrex/Poloniex]GPU Released on: September 18, 2014, 07:37:06 PM
Haven't been following this a long time, but it looks to me there is much ado about nothing going on here.

Perhaps BBR's slow and steady growth should be considered, because of its technical strengths. The name may not be very trendy right now, but at the same time the proof of the pudding should be in its ingredients and flavor simultaneously.

Essentially, by this I mean I am not against renaming. But it shouldn't be done lightly, and it is less important than advancing the coin technically.

In any case there's work to be done. Wink We've been using Litecoin over in our community since it was worth $0,80. There are also many other crypto's worth their salt. Now, I think linking blockchains is the logical next step.

Conspiracies or not, in the words of Heraclitus, "everything is in flux", and making sure the volatile cryptosphere becomes a more coherent whole looks to be a priority on my list.

STORMWIND has produced 0.74% return on investment in the past month.

You're right it's dividend time, and I am overdue. My apologies. I've been working hard on the Internet of Coins idea, which is taking a lot of time, and I was swamped in e-mails about it.

There is going to be a bit more delay, as this upgrades STORMWIND to support more cryptocurrencies. This is probably going to take another 12-18 hours, after which I will extract the profits from the bot accounts for paying dividends.

I have been sorting out all the crypto's currently in the system, and checking if all is functioning as it should. And I am happy to see it is good. This month was better than the last one, so I expect at least over 0.5% profits. After the maintenance on STORMWIND I will pay out the dividends as usual.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | First Coin With Private Encrypted Messaging | No premine on: September 08, 2014, 06:59:53 AM
Ladies and gentlemen,

First of all my sincere thanks to sdersf2, newb4now and micro123 for being responsive and thinking along in this CINNI reboot attempt.

We have seen that the CinniCoin developer is trying to take his own profits on the CINNI project, and clearly shows no willingness to work with/for the community of CINNI. This is bad news.

At the same time it seems there are not enough resources available to fork the project. And even if we would manage a fork, we risk the dumps on the market by whales or even CinniCoin dev himself.

Realistically, this means the CINNI project cannot be revived under the current conditions. I will be moving back to my other projects InternetOfCoins.org and HybridAssets.info to try and create real value there.

Again, much thanks to you who were willing to lend a hand! The cryptosphere needs people like you, and thus I hope to stay in touch.

Best regards,
Agent725

Just got a PM:
you are just mad that i didnt tell you before the announcement?

hmm

anyway, timeshares will be great.
i will tell you more about it later.
i need to go to some meetings today. when i'm done i'll talk with you.

No, I am not at all mad. However, your strange actions give me no trust and are not geared towards the community. You have breached the agreements we made as a community without prior notice. For CINNI I cannot function as a community manager if this is the way things go. Neither will I participate in a secretive approach towards reviving a coin. This is a recipe for manipulation and enrichment of a lucky few.

Unless this coin is forked, I will invest no more time in a possible pump scheme, and strongly advise against any hopeful CINNI holders to be a part of it.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | First Coin With Private Encrypted Messaging | No premine on: September 07, 2014, 11:03:53 AM
To be clear from my point of view: CinniCoin has not picked this up with me by messaging, e-mailing, Mumble, Skype or by any other means. Without a clear action plan, and open communication, I cannot support this course of action as community manager.

My invite for any new dev to pick this up and be a technical leader still stands. As we previously discussed, CinniCoin should not be the one to do this, and is now acting on his own accord and responsibility. It is up to you personally if you trust CinniCoin on this or not. Personally, I intuitively do not trust this course of action, however hopeful it may sound.

I am also in talks with third parties about a possible fork or takeover of CINNI. However, right now we do not know if this is a wise idea. There seems to be a lot of smoke and mirrors concerning CINNI, there may be many whales holding coins, and it may even be better to bootstrap a new project or coin by utilizing proof-of-burn or proof-of-allocation to give the CINNI holders a chance to redeem some of their value.

If I can come up with a potentially realistic solution I will let you know. Also, any suggestions and ideas are much appreciated.

So far I have received no e-mail or PM from anyone willing to be a dev for Cinni. Sadly, I lack the time to do this at the moment, as I am working on the Internet of Coins and Hybrid Assets.

Thankyou for your trust in me to be a community manager. I am willing to do this, as long as there is enough to work with. This means we first need a dev. Without one, CINNI can not be developed to the next level.

Who is up for creating a bounty to fix/upgrade the wallet? I will try to make sure any dev that does step up to the plate knows his(/her) stuff, and makes good on promises. Any dev reading this may also state what they want as payment, and we'll see if we can help you.

sdersdf2 is building a list of resources, and who is doing what.

Let's see what that list looks like, and plan our course of action.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | First Coin With Private Encrypted Messaging | No premine on: August 28, 2014, 05:57:02 AM
Nice post.

is there anyway the "CinniCoin" account can be controlled by someone who will be project manager and not the old dev? since most new people will look for posts by "Cinnicoin" to see if that coin is still being developed.

The 'CinniCoin' account cannot be controlled. Perhaps a good solution would be for someone to register a new handle that is similar (CinniCoin2.0) and post from that.

What do you think?
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | First Coin With Private Encrypted Messaging | No premine on: August 27, 2014, 12:39:40 PM
Hi guys,

It looks like things are moving.

CinniCoin is glad to be unburdened by these new developments. I have asked him what coding or other tasks he has done for CINNI. If doing any new coding he will first test new functions extensively with the dev team before promising new features. CinniCoin has now become a participant, and not a de-facto leader of this project.

sdersdf2 has picked up the initiative to get the team back on track. In that sense this takeover is in its nature a revival of the CINNI project. This revival may bring CINNI back as a cryptocurrency with a solid team, shared goals and values and an active community.

Looks like we are now assuming our positions, in order to have this spaceship fly.

Regards,
Agent725

Thanks sdersdf2. I have written a PM to devachelekar, godwits, and newb4now.

As for CinniCoin's role, I have asked him to stay on the line as a developer. Community management is evidently not his strength, and it seems he has become scapegoat because of bad choices. I have asked him to respond to the community about his future role. However, if he does not do this, it no longer stops us from moving on.

Whatever the core of this team was, it needs to be replaced with competent people that are able to communicate what they can do for this project, and also be clear about when they lack the resources or time.

So here a few questions:
 - Who feels confident to be the primary project manager?
 - What is his/her realistic vision for the future of CINNI?
 - Will the community trust this person, and hold to agreements?
 - Who has developer skills to help this project?
 - Who can communicate the progress of this project clearly to the community?
 - Are users willing to contribute coins to generate motivating bounties for the dev's and project workers?
