Incipite of the low score by the Multan Sultan, I would still not call that Lahore would win this match. I would see how Lahore Qalandar bat for the first 5 overs of their innings and then predict who is going to win this match. Multan Sultan managed to score only 160 runs in Lahore Qalandar's controlled bowling. But in the beginning it seemed that the run might cross 180. But Rashid Khan and David Wiese bowled a lot of economy in the middle which meant that none of the Multan Sultans batsmen could open their hands like that. 161 runs is the target for Lahore Qalandar. I think if they can score well in the first six overs then they can have a chance to win this match. Because the first six overs are very important in T20 cricket. They have one of best batter like saim and king Baber , TKC , Haris etc who put a lot effort to score a target like 240+ but unfortunately thier bowling lineup ruined all Thier efforts. As a supporter of Peshawer Zalmi I am depressed from Thier bowling performance they should need immediate changes to recover the team moral and should qualify for next stage. Tonight match between Quetta vs multan will decide that Quetta will qualify for next stage or not. Yeah, the sad thing is that FIFA is rich enough that they do not need to be corrupted, it's the people that are corrupted at the top, or at least it was, can't talk about the current one but they did not reverse any decision neither for legal scare.
However, if you pick people who are honest and true to their word, then you shouldn't be worried about corruption because FIFA is not corrupted as an organization, it's the people in that organization, so you fire them and get honest people and FIFA would not be corrupt at all. Paying a few million or even a lot of million to people could sound easy, but you need people who will say no to bribery like that, hard to find but they exist.
A very serious delusion. FIFA = corruption. You can change people as much as you like, but if the system is created as corrupt, then the result will be corruption. Wherever there are officials who dispose of the fruits of the labor of others, there is corruption. Football is a business, business should be run by businessmen and not corrupt officials. If you build a system that does not allow corruption, then you will not have it even if there are dishonest people inside it. And what we are seeing now shows precisely the systemic problem. I hope the committee appointed by FIFA on those countries (Canada/Mexico/United States) is not corrupted. Because honest people will work perfectly and don't want to get intervention from the parent organization (FIFA). but of course, honest people will be got a consequence if the committee doesn't comply with what FIFA wants like being fired halfway. Well if the pitch stays the same then we can expect India to cross at least 300 runs at the end of day 3 (without losing many wickets) as guys like Gill, Rohit and Iyer won't take a conservative approach and will surely play attacking cricket. With the loss UAE is at the brim of losing the ODI status. The competence is at the peak, because Nepal wants to move above the position of Namibia to qualify. UAE needs to win atleast 3 matches in the four matches remaining to move a position above the USA. This means UAE needs to win more matches than Nepal. This is going to be tough.
Both Nepal and the United Arab Emirates have 3 matches remaining, and out of that 2 will be played against each other. Nepal has a 3 point lead over the UAE and in case they win two of the remaining matches, then the UAE has no chance of catching up to them. But Nepal would be targeting to win all their remaining matches. It will take them to the 3rd place in points table, above Namibia. And more importantly, it would mean that for the 2023 World Cup, Nepal would go directly to the second round of qualifier tournament (2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier). Teams that are ranked 4th to 7th need to play the first round (Qualifier Play-off). In this tournament we are looking the Nepal team is showing its talent well and we can see its progress. In the point table I am hoping that the Nepal wil gain the third position but we can't underestimate the UAE team in some matches we saw good the UAE team. Congratulations to Team Bangladesh for winning the first T20 match against England. If we consider the past statistics we can see that till now England have played only one T20 match against Bangladesh and in that match England won. But today Bangladesh rewrote history. Won the T20 match for the first time against the English today. Bangladesh reached their target with 12 balls in hand after going to bat with a target of 157 runs. A huge win by 6 wickets is undoubtedly a very happy news for the entire Bangladesh. Congratulations to Bangladesh.

I doubt India will lose this match. I made an early prediction that the series would end as 2-1 in India's favor with the remaining match ending as a draw and it looks like this match will end as a draw. It would surprise me if the Indian batsmen actually collapsed on such a batting friendly pitch. Let's see what happens. Yes, based on the performance from Australia team it is sure a batting pitch. Australia would score 350+ runs based on the end of day 1. Khawaja on 104* and Green at 49* runs will continue the partnership. Indian batsmen can't be believed, at times everyone play similarly without understanding the match situation. What happened on the Chennai ground is something rare and as expected things weren't working with the Indian bowlers. Possibly during the first session of day 2 we can expect fall of wickets. If the target was more than 175 then I would definitely say that the England team is going to win the match. But in the T20 format, it is not easy to win by giving a target of 157 runs on such a pitch. At the end of 2 overs, Bangladesh collected 20 runs. Rony Talukder scored 16 runs off just 8 balls. And Liton Das collected 5 runs. If the two openers are able to play well then Bangladesh can win by batting at a target of 157 runs. Because Shanto, Shakib, and Hridoy are all in good form now. These guys prefer franchise cricket over international duty (which is not necessarily a bad thing). And as you pointed out, they are struggling to replace their retiring players. Younger players like Pooran, Riefer and Gayle, Sammy and Bravo. West Indies is not paying the players as much as they should. Actually, they cannot pay those players as much as the players are getting paid from different T20 franchises. Moreover, when they ask for more salary from the West Indies cricket board, they suddenly have issues with the cricket board. So it is better for the players to play in different T20 leagues instead of hoping for things to get better in West Indies with the West Indies cricket board. Yes, that is not good for West Indies. But the players are having good pay. But if this continues, eventually there will not be good enough players being produced from West Indies to play in T20 leagues all across the world. That's the reason many strong players preference is other leagues and franchises where they are paid more according to their skills rather than playing for their home teams as they are valued less there . Sri Lanka have lost its 5th wicket. Score of Sri Lanka is 262 runs with De Silva and Dickwella on the crease we can expect the score to the maximum of 350 runs. Sri Lanka lost 6 wickets but it looks pretty good now. Yes, whether at home or not, if the team collect more runs, it will be difficult for the opposition. New Zealand pitch is usually favor Batsmen. In that case the New Zealand batsmen will also try their best to score big and there will be more chances of their success. If Sri Lanka manage to score some more runs with their four wickets then the match could be quite exciting. Sirlanka did pretty good on day 1 against Newzealand, crossing 300 with 4 wickets still in hand is a good first innings. They can easily cross 400 with this pace on day 2 and that would be a task for newZealand in trail as Kiwis are bit weak in test format than in other formats. |

This is turning out to be yet another one-sided match. Temba Bavuma once again got out without scoring much. But he has nothing to worry. Even if he scores 0 consecutively in his next twenty innings, he will be retained in the squad thanks to the quota. BTW, the other batsmen played really well against the West Indian seam/spin attack - Dean Elgar, Aiden Markram and Tony de Zorzi. Ryan Rickelton is at the crease now and he is playing just his 4th test match. So far he looked good out there. For West Indies, all the bowlers except Gudakesh Motie were disappointing.
South Africa has done really well on the first day. But I have to say Markram and Zorzi both missed out on their century. And at the same time, Dean Elgar missed out on a half-century. South Africa is going to continue the innings on the next day. I can see that West Indies expected a little more from roach and chase. The way South Africa is playing in this test match, it is going to be really hard for West Indies to win. Unless West Indies has a very good first inning for themselves as well. At the end of day 1 South Africa is 311 runs and 7 wickets gone, the way they started and the way their openers played waxreaply good but after 3 batsman none of the player scored good runs . Was expecting 400 plus runs from South Africa in first innings so lets see how they'll perform tomorrow. |
