I'm so sorry, the pool is now back and online. I don't know what happened (there is nothing on the log)....
I will be more carefull in the future.....
The rig owner sent me a message at the beginning on the mine telling me that there was a global issue affecting the pools earlier today. I'm not sure but that could be what caused us to go offline.

Hello Guillaume,
Just a heads up. Our pool cryptobec is currently down. In the meantime I have switched to cryptoadhd.com

Yes but the volume is only 0.06 BTC since yesterday....
And the volume is still showing a little above 0.06 BTC today. And that is despite the fact that the top google search for Québecoin still leads to the now defunct original website. Also despite the fact that we don't yet have a wikipedia entry, and very limited information on the internet about our coin beyond this bitcointalk thread and our little discussion forum with 23 members. That also means that somebody other than me was buying up Québecoin today, since I didn't visit Bittrex since yesterday. So I believe that we at least have a starting point to build upon. I went from the original 22 or so coins I received back in April for retweeting a promotional message about Québecoin on twitter, to now having over 10,000 QBC. It is still a very modest starting point, but I did get the the message about Québecoin. And at least a few others have as well.

One problem that we have which could easily be fixed is that we need to optimize our google search results for Québecoin, so that relevant information about our subject is closest to the top. The links to the original site are still at the top, but they are now taking us to a dead link. So these will eventually get taken out of the search. One day to be only seen using the Wayback Machine. We might also want to push some of those April news reports further to the bottom, because the early media coverage of cryptocurrencies tend to be unhelpful. Right now I need to enter Québecoin and fork into the search in order to get to the new discussions. A key tool to help educate people, which is very cheap, would be a well written wikipedia entry for Québecoin. That could also be a case where you make a point of making the French version slightly more detailed than the English one.
Also, I was trying google searches to find results in which individuals are making reference to their own Québecoin address. I think I was only able to find one.

The Bittrex warning that Québecoin is in danger of being delisted due to lack of user interest and low trading volume has disappeared.

Yesterday and again today I noticed a new user on the crytpobec pool, username RF418, who has a consistent speed just a tad under 50 Mh/s. I am not sure if that is his own equipment or if he is renting it. I put some of my PB mining weekly BTC earnings into Betarigs X11 miners, and am temporarily pumping out a lot of coins.

I get the following error message when I try to run the new version:

some people going posv coins on the first day it went live. Mine says Expected time to earn rewards is 7 days - is this because they have more coins than me?
I wouldn't necessarily go by that expected time, as the process is somewhat random. I saw something similar on mine when I first got it staking, and it began giving rewards almost right away.

Hi, I'm interested in this coin and have a question what is the best exchange to buy RDD? How I know mintpal isn't best anymore? I haven't bought coins for 1month so don't know what is happening now.
Also notice that Bittrex, one of the main exchanges for Reddcoin has either been down or had functionality reduced for exchanging Reddcoin ever since PoSV got up and running. Bittrex just restored the ability to deposit and withdraw reddcoin a few minutes ago.

Salut!

I am noticing a very large buy order for quebecoin right now on bittrex. Someone wishing to pick up just under 40,000 QBC. At the moment it would be difficult to put that many coins together.

Since the beginning of POSV I have earned 4673 RDD from 2.4 million RDD. Based on the current ask of 24 satoshis, that amounts to about 65 cents. Not bad considering that I am only getting about $3 of BTC weekly from my 1.4 MH/s Fury on clevermining, and probably less than $2 a week at this point for each technobit HEX16A2 miner. Noticing that my bitcoin earnings have sharply declined over the past few days on BTC Guild. So it is good to find an alternative to expensive bitcoin mining that never breaks even.

If someone wants to buy something with QBC there is this post https://m.facebook.com/MonTrocMonHistoireIt could be a good idea to be present at one step in this story Ps: je voulais poster sur québéco mais je ne vois pas le lien de login sur mobile. Je retourne voir mes baleines ... I think that at the moment the key would be to offer up something with more universal appeal. Such as gift cards. I made an offer to do this a few days after the initial release, but it was still too early for anyone to want to think that far ahead. The seller would need to be willing to take a loss, since the value of Quebecoin isn't stable at this point. It is going to be a long shot to be able to sell something for Quebecoin that is specialized like a tool or books by a specific author, when meanwhile the few people who are holding quebecoins are probably interested in something completely diferent.

It is definitely doable if you live close to the border and can cross to go pick it up. I am close enough that I buy some of my groceries in the US. We sometimes pick up turkeys when they go on sale. You just need to keep your meat order under 20 Kilograms.

Bittrex is completely disabled right now, so that probably has some negative effect on the price. Plenty of people have coins stuck on there, waiting for the system maintenance to be done.
|
|
|
Reddcoin wallet was also temporarily disabled on bittrex over the last 24 hours, and is now back up. Marie-Lynn, are you staking with your reddcoin wallet yet?
|
|
|
we are still at the very beginning!
In case you are wondering makishart, I just randomly sent you 10 RDD (chose you because you listed a reddcoin address in your sig). I needed to test out the encryption on my wallet.
