You need 1.7 that why it says Unsupported major.minor version 51.0

yes I see... it seems unlikely that theres just not a package for jre1.7 for debian6... is that really the case?

You could try via PPA
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 24, 2013, 10:52:51 PM
im trying another vps proider, they didnt have debian7 but did have debian6, i couldnt install 1.7 jre but did find a 1.6 jre to install.  I tried to start and got this:
Quote

What do I have to do to start buying nxt? Respectively is there an instruction?

Quickest way is have some BTC ready and jump on dgex.com

Don't forget Nxt The first sole PoS crypto currency and decentralized application network not based on bitcoin or any other altcoin coin.

Nxt will be implementing decentralized services such as Asset, Currency exchange, Colored coins, Marketplace, Auctions,
Transaction mixing, Encrypted Messaging, Chat DNS, Alias name scheme and more.

In the 0.4.0 version, there is not reminder that when I will generate a block on the top of browser near the recent block.
But it has in before version.
Is this right?
It's still there.
@idev
Why i can not see where it is?
What is the problem?
It's still in the "blocks" section just below where it says "Recent blocks [339]"
You sure your client is running?

New version of the mac client now has auto-update support, whenever a new version of the nxt client comes out you will be notified and asked to update. The app checks for a new version on start, and also once a day if you keep it running forever.

Download here: https://copy.com/Gd4AMCJjdJ3l

Now I need some people to test if the auto-update really works (as it does on my system), so you can download a version here which has the nxt 0.3.19 client included. After startup it should ask you to update.

https://copy.com/MeTLJy7zhiM1

Btw, you will now get a "loading blocks" message on first start. This ensures that blocks.nxt and other files are created and you do not see zero balances. This is only on first load of the app and if you haven't started the app in a week or more.

Donations are appreciated, put a lot of time in to this. Only 3 donations so far. Thanks to those that did donate :-) (Nxt id in my signature)

PS: Right click the application, then choose "open" if you get a security warning, this is normal - because the application is not yet signed.

PS2: Make sure any other java server is not running any more before starting this app.

Mac 10.6.8?   Cool Cool Cool Huh

Here's a quick work around to install jdk 1.7 on OSX 10.6.8

Edit the file:
Code:
/System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist

and change your version number to 10.7.0 or higher
Code:
<key>ProductBuildVersion</key>
        <string>10X529</string>
        <key>ProductCopyright</key>
        <string>1983-2011 Apple Inc.</string>
        <key>ProductName</key>
        <string>Mac OS X</string>
        <key>ProductUserVisibleVersion</key>
        <string>10.7.0</string>
        <key>ProductVersion</key>
    <string>10.7.0</string>

download jdk1.7 from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk7-downloads-1880260.html and install it.

Change the version number back to the original value in SystemVersion.plist file.

Then run:
Code:
export JAVA_HOME=/Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home

Then download and install NRS as per usual.

There seems to be a problem with software not running over https port 7875. Upon trying to login it just won't load, although when i try to login on the non secure port 7874 it works fine. There are no errors in console.

I've now tryed it on my local machine and I'm having the same problem, can't login with on 7875 but 7874 works fine.

What is listening port 7875?
Code:
netstat -ab
No worries, seems all it needed was a page refresh.
