A friend of mine wanted to start some POW (heat) mining because his RAC is already pretty high. He has Ubuntu 18 running and compiled from the 1.1.3.8 release. The compilation itself worked perfectly, but unfortunately the mining processes still suffer from this strange memory leak. It quite quickly went up to >500 MB per task, at which he stopped it. Are there any of you who are running BBP on Ubuntu 18? Is the memory leak a known issue? Thanks for your efforts!
When you say "per task" you mean per "setgenerate" thread? We can give it a drive on a profiler and see who's to blame, but if it's happening on 18 and not in 16 or 17, it sounds like it could be some buggy external library packed in 18 that we are using.

Just say something like "Biblepay (@biblepay) already there since July 2017. 10% of the blockchain given to efficient charities. 307 children sponsored today."

Well...it says activating best chain. Still stuck. So you mean i need to just download the wallet again? ? I don't know how to cleanup or whatever. My campus coin wallet is acting fine. Edit: I downloaded the wallet again and it still is stuck on this activating best chain screen. Is my computer just too slow for this new wallet???IT opened up just fine yesterday before it synced. Yesterday I had one MN crashing with this error. I solved this launching again with -reindex option.

I found this in the chain on block 2492:
感谢GOD。感谢圣经。感谢电脑。感谢CPU。感谢。。。
Translation:
Thanks GOD. Thanks to the Bible. Thanks for the computer. Thanks CPU.
I'm working on Stratis and these Chinese characters are breaking the chain, so I have to add business logic for the problem.
AFAIK making C#/NET code and databases multibyte compatible should be no big issue. I have made some inroads in the past with russian and chinese compatible databases and it was pretty easy. I don't know about how far is Stratis codebase from that virtuous approach and surely you are more experienced with it, but if you think I can help you with my experience, you know I'm available for you.

** Huge News for Mac **
We are now fully supporting the Mac OS! Web site being updated now with mac download link: https://www.biblepay.org/biblepaycore.dmgPlease test this on various mac flavors! Great job MIP for making this happen! MIP is debugging MacOSX in house and making releases. Not sure why, but requires macOS 10.13 or later. There was a problem with macOS linker using dynamic versions of the libraries. I have configured and linked a new executable forcing libs to be statically linked. So maybe it was not working not because of your version, but for this libraries problem. I have the latest macOS 10.13.x but sometimes it's hard for me to test this kind of issues because my mac is a dev machine and it always has all the libraries present. So all the mac users, please download the DMG again and give us some feedback on the different OS versions, it will be very useful! If you have crashes please send me the crash reports. I will be also around on Discord channel. Thank you!

If you are interested in getting BBP listed in mnode.club masternode monitoring site, please register and vote for it: https://mnode.club/g/coinvote/BBPIt allows you to have a multi-coin masternode list and it sends you alerts of rewards and when nodes are down! Pretty useful tool. Thank you!

iOS only allows background execution tasks for a short period of time.
So BOINC is not only limited by policies or processor but also by the OS internals itself.
BTW on iOS wallet app. I'm getting more and more questions from Testflight evaluators.
I also got report that conditions for publishing crypto wallets in App Store have been hardened, to the point that only "Corporate" apple developer accounts would be entitled to publish such apps.

these fees are simple math. you can stake 1.5m to masternode, or to pool. 1.5m is ~75k rac and this is about 10k bbp/day vs 4k bpp/day from masternode so fees are covering losses to not stake as masternode
but 65% is still better than 0% for most of beginners...
You inconsciously forgot the cost of generating 75k RAC, which is about 600-800€ a month. Of course, this is not the case for the people that are hijacking from his boss' hardware and power grid.

Hi all, I have the task of working on my explorer this weekend. Don't know why the indexing is making such problems there. I will try to setup the explorer from zero an again, maybe this fixes the problems Remember we need the getuxos API patch for iquidus, for the mobile wallets paper key import feature to work.

Unfortunately a lot of the gold and silver in eBay is fake. It’s much more advisable to get it from reputable dealers. There are many online. For EU I personally like CelticGold and GoldSilver.be (here customer service is horrible but price and speed are great)

My wallet (1.0.2.2) didn't open and the loading window disappeared without any notice after ~5 minutes, repeatedly. Then I installed 1.0.2.4 and I get a fatal error occurred. BiblePay can no longer continue safely and will quit.
Same here. The weirdest thing is that even if i delete everything, i still get the same error on that wallet. Others windows wallets don't. So I have one computer where I can run QT gui (plain daemon works)

Does anyone know how to trade on QIEX? I see a sort of sliding bar but I can't fix a limit price other than clicking on the existing ones in the order book.
Any help or reference to a guide? Thanks
Ok I saw it. Price numbers are so dark that it's hard to see them on the black background.

but wallet on ccex is down... so if it stays offline then all bbp stays there for 3 months...
I would call it that the c-cex owners have cashed out their profits in BBP fees and run away to Bahamas with the BTC in the bag. And the buyers seem to be trapped.

I can't re-open my wallet after crashing but I guess it's that's life: as we say here, what the Lord gives you with one hand, it takes it away with the other lol In debug.log 2018-05-29 21:42:38 GUI: Qt has caught an exception thrown from an event handler. Throwing exceptions from an event handler is not supported in Qt. You must reimplement QApplication::notify() and catch all exceptions there.

And I can't restart the windows wallet even if I use -reindex, -rescan, etc.

yeah, but if ccex will be closed for 3 months, then south or qiex will goes up. nobody will wait 3 months for opening ccex
...and I think this could also be a good thing. If both exchanges have such low overall volumes and BBP rises significantly, then chances are that at one point or the other it's gonna account for a high percentage of the overall volume on these exchanges and therefore gain more recognition. Of course we may see huge leaps (up AND down) in the price because of the low liquidity, but again this could help getting more people to look into the project. This is not like last time c-cex closed registration. Back then, registered ppl could at least deposit and withdraw. Now nobody will be able to do that. This will force everyone to go to SouthXchange or QIEX. For me this is a death blow for C-Cex, I expect that when they come back from "holidays" the see everybody is out for good. And of course my suspicion is that another "unfortunate" event will happen and many people will see their wallets dissapear because of some weird hack.
