261  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has gone beyond gold prices on: January 06, 2017, 01:54:58 PM
Bitcoin has now exceeded the gold price, is the choice of bitcoin or gold?

Bitcoin ofcourse. The price of this coin is increasing and decreasing easily in short of time. I dont know in gold price if the same. But I want bitcoin ofcourse because im earning here and trade it even  if i have only small amount of money.
yes that is a fact, in my area the price of bitcoin is almost double the price of Gold, but there is a lot  of fluctuation in the price of bitcoin where as the price of gold is stale and we can observe a very little change in the price of bitcoin.
262  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: January 06, 2017, 01:52:42 PM
You can get passive earning by investing in shares. Or maybe real estate somwhere at good location where is big demand so the value is rising. Or from valuable watches, jewlery, art, gold. Bitcoin could be also source of passive income if you have invested it somwhere or maybe just by holding it and waiting for price to go up.
No not agree with you these source can not be source of passive income, these source can be investment source but can's be passive income source. Getting a real job or a business income e.g. regular income from a shop can be passive income.

I can see you two have two opposite opinions over there, and I'm afraid I can't agree with you. A job or a shop usually brings to you an ordinary life, nothing special. Investing in shares, real estate, gold,... are common ways to get rich, and works for lots of people. I personally believe in bitcoin too.
"Getting a Real Job" itself means you are working for you to earn money. Having a real job is not a passive income rather it is a main source of income. Let us not confuse ourselves with simple terms. A passive income is a source of income in which it generates revenue without your everyday work. Passive income such as interest or bond payments are good source of passive income.
I do not think so. It is all about the money. If you have the money, you can access to many sources of passive income. Most of my Bitcoin-related friends set up the mining pool whenever they have the enough capital. Bitcoin mining is not as profitable as it used to but you can choose to mine other cryptos which is more profitable such as Etherium or monero. They will absolutely give you the passive income
It is true that a real job is not considered as a passive source of income because you have to worked for it, but let’s be honest the best way to earn money is to do something for it, trading and gambling may earn you but they have risks.

Mining bitcoin might be considered as a passive income, but it requires a lot of initial and running capital for hardware set up in order to make a good profit.
I agree with that, but passive income is very hard to achieve so we are doing where everyone starts which is having an active income. Passive income will always be our dream and we hope to achieve that one day.
It is all about the money. If you have money, you can easily access to many sources of passive income. Many of my Bitcoin-related said that they would buy some Antminer whenever they have enough money. Bitcoin mining is not as profitable as it used to but you can still mine other crytos such as Monero and Etherium. They are quite suitable right now and they absolutely give us the passive income which you are dreaming about

ya it is true that altcoin mining is very much profitable even new coin also if you mine and when they hit exchange you can earn in short time, other then that you can watch in altcoin announcement section where  you can get free coins for social media bounty . so their are so many passive income, only thing is you have to be active to grab them
Getting altcoin from bounties is not passive income since you still need to make an effort in order to grab them, and while altcoin mining is profitable, mining new altcoins is a risk since the coin could be dumped very quickly without giving you a chance to sell your coins and recover your investment.
yes that is a fact that income from a bunty campaign is not a passive income, as you work for it, you use your time and full effort for it, i think there is no way of passive income.
263  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: January 06, 2017, 01:48:54 PM
i think bitcoin have very stronger and powerful security and there is no tax on bitcoin and bitcoin is very useful than cash its transaction is very faster than other currency .
There are actually fees in Bitcoin, which are the mining fees. But that's not a big problem, in my opinion, since they are relatively low rates. In addition, these fees are required to maintain the quality of the payment system.

I want to add that Bitcoin trumps fiat because of its accessibility; you can have a 24/7 access to your funds and can easily make payments without any third party restrictions (i.e. bank) or jurisdictional restrictions.

Well the downside here is that as of this time, the transactions you can do with bitcoin is pretty limited to companies accepting btc. It would be nice in the future if most major companies would accept btc for their everyday transaction so even as we all know how more beneficial btc is, cash is still more practical.
cash is still practical but not much as now every educated person want to have a place from home to transact their money and because of issues with banks they do not want to have any third part for their financial matters so they will prefer bitcoin and in the future cash is going to replace with bitcoin.
i think not every educated person but those who have the facilities of computer and education, still there so many backward area where the facilities of internet and computers are not available, therefore still in most of the area bitcoin is not too much introduced and popular.
264  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: January 06, 2017, 01:44:04 PM
Impossible to happen cause the circumstances is it will change global economic processes. US government won't allow that even other countries.
every thing is possible in this world, but it look like difficult in near future, actually USD is one of the most popular and stable fiat currency and most of the countries are also depending it for their economic where bitcoin is a new currency and still it has a lot of time to become so mature to replace bitcoin.
265  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: January 06, 2017, 10:04:37 AM
I would always choose bitcoin than gold. Though gold has been for centuries, still bitcoin has potential to give good returns. You could see the tremendous rise in bitcoin price. It has not yet made upset any of its holders.
Bitcoin price is so fluctuative and volatile. But so many countries were accept bitcoin now, so I think bitcoin is secure. Gold is apropriate for long term investment. If I only have small amount of money I will choose bitcoin.

Yes the bitcoin is also more profitable on a short term and due to that I also would choose for the bitcoin, I'm not having the patient for gold.

Bitcoin isn't just profitable on short term it can also be profitable in the long term. But it is better if you have that enough budget for investing, you can try to invest both of it at the same time. Because if the time now is for bitcoin sooner or later the time for gold is going to come also. Better to be secure with these two investments.
i think in present time as the price of bitcoin is trading in a high rate therefore short term term investment is a little more risky as compare to long term investment, in lost term investment at least you do not care for the price increase. and can wait for a long time.
266  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: January 06, 2017, 09:55:55 AM
Savings or investment is really a good idea.
Prefer everyone to invest money instead of saving. I have invested my half money in stock market.
if you prefer the investment of course it would be quite risky. if your investment would generate a loss of more than half of your possessions will run out and disappear. better prioritize store and use a certain percentage for investments
not only investment but saving also risky, if you deposit your money in banks and the bank disappear then what will you do, they will take all your money, therefore i think investment is the best choise because at least there is a chance to increase the amount of money you have.
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: January 05, 2017, 04:55:39 PM
We should know that to increase its value our money should be out of our pocket and circulate in the economy
like in real economy

Though it is important for bitcoin economy that most of the bitcoins should be in circulation but i don't think that just because if some of us hold some of our coins the economy will be affected at all.. because we don't hold hundreds or thousands of bitcoin and nor we can because at the end of the day we will have to use them somewhere..

It is not that bad if we are going to spend some of our bitcoins but for some who are holding thousands of bitcoins they are the ones who still have contribution and knows that spending is a good way to make the price of bitcoin increasing. And if nobody will spend bitcoins for sure those people who are holding a lot will be force to spend it.
if every one is holding bitcoin and not going to sell it, as we can experience the situation currently. then the price of bitcoin will increase more and more. because the demand will increase and the supply will decrease.
268  Economy / Speculation / Re: Panic selling started ! on: January 05, 2017, 04:51:51 PM
I really suggest that everyone holds what he have at the moment instead of panic selling , If you want to really make some really good profit then hold . http://preev.com/ , Its not going too well and we don't want to make things worst at this point.

How do you know this drop is caused by panic selling?
I do not call it panic selling it looks more manipulation than panic selling  will not drop price such quickly but after watching this big drop nobs may start to panic sell their Bitcoin this may cause huge drop in price but maybe pros may pump this price again just to get more profit.
yes that is a fact it also cannot call it as a panic selling, i think it is just a little correction and after that the price of bitcoin again going to boost,a and this time it is going to cross its all time high price very soon.
269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the last 24 hours on: January 05, 2017, 04:49:36 PM
Rising up is too fast and being down is too fast . I could not understand what happned in 10 minutes before.
It was down from 1,126$ to 920$ just only 10 minutes. it's unbelievable.

Basically it was because of the sudden rise of prices too. I think this is what they are talking about. This was the correction they are saying that will happen. Looks like it happened too quickly, it happened within ten minutes. I watched this happen on poloniex. It was really scary to see my funds drop by 20% in just that ten minutes.

This was the expected correction but everyone thought that it will break the $1200 old price after that it will crash but same like before touching $1000 it crashed from $950 to $ 870 it went and was roaming in that range for some days and then it bounced back and went up to $1126 but now back the resistance is tested so i think this correction is healthy and if the price stays i this range then next bounce back we can expect the ATH price to be crossed and next all time high price range will be created.
yes the correction is expected but still there is strong support to the price if bitcoin, within house i saw the price fell down to 830 and now trading about 990 again. how price is going to cross its all time high price.
270  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who controls the Bitcoins? on: January 05, 2017, 04:42:36 PM
people who hold bitcoin is actually directly control it like traders, gambling operators, miners and individual like us that relay source of income in bitcoin.
so in simple worlds we can say that those people who have the amount of bitcoin are the owner of these bitcoins. and there is not a single person or group of persons are the owner of all bitcoins.
271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince my dad that Bitcoin is a trustful currency ? on: January 05, 2017, 04:38:45 PM
Give him some bitcoins and direct him to casino to enjoy and he will surely comeback for more and once he sees his winnings and convert it to fiat he will see the value of BTC
I think it is a way to make them interested in using bitcoin, while proving that bitcoin is a credible currency you have to prove that by using or investing with bitcoin you can get security and profit
i think giving him some proof of online business or at least some good proof about online shopping can convince your parents easily, if you have some bitcoins and you give some online order using bitcoin hope it will really help him to convince about the fact that bitcoin is a truthful currency.
272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Usage Reduce Demand Of Fiat? on: January 05, 2017, 04:07:47 PM
No, it will not happen. The more demand in bitcoins the demand in fiat will not be affected. Remember that we use dollars or fiat currency to buy or purchase bitcoins in the exchangers but it doesnt mean that we leave fiat behind. When the price is ripe for bitcoins we also sell them in exchange for dollars to gain profit. So bitcoin usage therefore does not really reduce the demand in fiat.
yes i also think so that still fiat is ok and its demand is going to reduce the use of fiat. because bitcoin is not yet used by all the people of the world, i think it will still take a lot of time. it is not going to be so easy.
273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: January 05, 2017, 02:20:31 PM
Lots of places to spend your bitcoins on. You don't have to spend it on those subjects you mentioned

It depends. Maybe in your place there are lot of places but not in mine. It is hard to see a stall with a sign that accepts bitcoin. It is always changing it to hard cash first before you can even spend it. Now, I have just been doing online buying instead of going to the mall.
yes that is a fact, in fact those areas where the people are advanced and education and those who know about computer and internet so they know the method of online shopping and getting benefits from other services and therefore bitcoin keep more value for them.
274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins Investment: risk or benefit? on: January 05, 2017, 02:17:35 PM
Is good investissement if you know when to invest, and a risk is always there ... without risk you can't win.
but in fact you can get the benifit of bitcoin if you take the risk, you can make money in bitcoin if you will take the risk and will invest your money in bitcoin, without involving risk you cannot make money.
275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: January 05, 2017, 02:15:39 PM
never using western union, and i can't compare it becasue never use it.
but for me bitcoin is more simple, we can send everywhere in minute it's something special for me
I've never used it but I think it's much more complicated because you need to WU office and of course you need to fill in the data and address it very complicated, it is better to use bitcoin its more simple

Western union need so many data to fill and as you said that it is very complicated. I think western union proper doing like that because need specific data to avoid wrong receives. Legal personal identity is used to verification on western union.
yes that is a fact, western using really require a lot of conformations, their service is also limited. Their transaction fee is also too high, while bitcoin transaction fee is really reasonable.
276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin without Altcoin ? on: January 05, 2017, 02:12:37 PM
in fact, it is very difficult to imagine bitcoin without altcoin. probably about 80% of users bitcoin definitely use altcoin to find additional money. Well, I see that most people of this forum is a trader, and I am sure they are traders of altcoin. so I think, bitcoin will feel less without altcoin.
yes it is a fact, as most of the people are using bitcoin for trading in alt coins and making money there. therefore altcoin is an important factor of bitcoin and it really important for trader specailly.
277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying land/real state with Bitcoin on: January 05, 2017, 02:10:41 PM
I think there is no chance to escape from tax if bought that expensive and valuable asset, the government will question you, it is impossible to evade tax if you bought a house, it is better to pay income tax rather than there will be a big problem in the future
actually most of the states still not accept bitcoin officially therefor it is not so easy to buy a house using bitcoin, you must change your bitcoin into fiat currency and after that you can buy a house, because you have to pay tax and government is not collecting tax in bitcoin.
278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: January 05, 2017, 02:04:35 PM
Depending on country but some countries are thinking that it will destroy there own economy what is of course not good.
Yes I agree with you. Some countries wich not support bitcoin is not really hate bitcoin. The country is not prevent their people to use bitcoin as currency in their region. The people still can use bitcoin without government supervision and responsiblity. I think those countries is just scare about changes, it is normal. I think they will accept  bitcoin in the future. So we only need until the time is come.
Thats the main reason why some countries dont really like to  accept bitcoin because they can already view the possible effects on their economy and to its citizens.Government do already know the benefits and disadvantages of bitcoin but they are really concerned about taxation which bitcoin does really violates thats why they dont like to adopt it.
in fact in most of the countries there is no official support to bitcoin, but their people are giving support to bitcoin, so i think in such countries where the support of the people to bitcoin is very low there bitcoin is not so much popular,
279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very little Press Coverage of Bitcoin's Rally this time on: January 05, 2017, 02:01:00 PM
Thats cuz theres not much news to cover.... this isnt record breaking yet.
Somewhere around $1300 is record breaking =P
but this time it is expected to cross the all time high price very soon, and hope that this time it will stat therefor a long time and after that it will even go more high in next round.
280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Everyone already knows about bitcoin" no.. no they do not.. on: January 05, 2017, 01:57:06 PM
I don't think it's true, based on my own experience.
From maybe 50 people I know personally, let's say, maybe 40 using Internet.
From this 40 maybe only 10 using Internet for more serious things like online shopping etc.
How many know about Bitcoin?
I think 5-6.
Others just don't care about such things.
It's still reality and we have to be aware about it.

I had the same experience as you had and I agree with you. But bitcoin is just beginning and we need to see the bigger picture. Take a look at the coming 20 to 30 years. Bitcoin will be famous and will be used widely more than today. The volume of transactions will be massive if the code and algorithm is well maintained till then.

Everyone has the same experience as we all know bitcoin is not really that much popular in practical world but it is just there on internet and someone who is not always involved in internet does not know anything about it, in my case if i ask a half of the people around me i'm sure none of them will say they have even heard about bitcoin, so yes, "Not everyone knows about bitcoin."
actually the reason is that most of the people do not know about bitcoin and those people who know most of them are not still confident to invest their money in bitcoin, but the number of bitcoin users is increasing continuously and hope that very soon almost every one be using bitcoin in future.
