from what i understand, it can't be coingen due to the bonus blocks. You can always edit what coingen gives you. - From Day 1 through Day 30, there is no change, but the coins "age" in the background
- On Day 30, Your coins become eligible for PoS minting
- From Day 31 through Day 90, Your chances of hitting a PoS block increase. After day 90 your chances dont get any better.
- When a Stake block is hit the input that was used gets locked for 25 blocks as the POS block matures. It is moved to the stake column and a transaction will appear in your wallet for 10 EBT

The block chain (release) started exactly 10 hours ago, but the topic started about 4 hours ago. So looks like 6 hours premine. First 48 hours is 5.76 bilions coins so first 6 hours is 720 milions coins, which is 6.25% premine. So... no premine??
That post https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/4156-topcoin-top-released-020214/page-5 started at 3.00am (I assume EST), the last post in the thread is at 11.26am that's 8.5 hours - so maybe 1.5hr premine the only thing matters here is the time between the genesis block being mined and the time of the first block being mined. if blocks were being mined prior to the release thread, its a premine and there is no arguing that it is not. OP said there was no premine. Then he deleted the posts of people claiming there was a premine. All I can say is: something is wrong with this coin. because people are spreading FUD! That is not the reason to delete posts with an actual meaning. |

So, when the coin becomes hard to mine - and everyone is sitting on them to wait for value - err.. what is going to get people to exchange them and use them?
I am mining it, for fun. Never had a wallet +1Mill of coin. Don't get me wrong.. would love the price to match or beat Dodge in price... but volume?
Well, fair enough. Since there is also ZERO PREMINE; in some time - community will have to get involved a lot. It's late here, but tomorrow I can probably contact dev and sum up some people to start working on shit. Yeah indeed.
The funniest thing though was when fp of pools went down. It happens all the time when you suddenly have farms hashing on the low diff. People always get coins no matter what estimates say. As long as Cgminer works and you have auto payout set, you're fine. It happened with Saturn too, same story.

I finally got some payouts from eu pool and they also lowered the min auto pay to 1000...thanks. Part of the problem is it takes a long time to get confirmed coins after you start mining.
It seems like the altcoin world is scammier and scammier all the time so it helps to be cautious in the beginning.
I mined like 4 days of earthcoin when it first launched and got ripped off by a fake pool so I want to see auto pay work asap.
Hard to tell how much my eac would have been worth. I was out of town and left the miner running at 700kh so don't even know what I had.
You have lost about 0.15 BTC on EAC that day (those are current prices, 4 times more when it peaked). I lost coins because of that pool too, and am sure about the amount (this is a min. estimate). It was not a fake pool but Hackshard pool, operated by Devianttwo. It failed because of hardware issues. It failed during the early days of USDe too. I think they had similar issues with other coins, but cannot be sure about that since I didn't pay much attention after EAC failure. edit: we lost EAC because we didn't set auto payout and when it failed coins were lost. |
