I missed this coin was from Leafcoin dev's. Now it's even better, I loved leafcoin, this will be the improved version I suppose.

Question...why is there such a high fee when transferring from one wallet to another? Trying to send 871 DOPE and the fee within the wallet is 11 DOPE?
I've noticed now also. I sent 50 and 1 fee. You have to fix this for next update dev.will do... will update on next update. i will let dopey decide when he wants to push an update through. |

Thanks, i never know where you guys find this list, but it is now ok It's a list of peers I'm connected to. I noticed when initially trying to sync that the seed node kept disconnecting me, and the IRC server was complaining it was full. That may explain why it took a while to find an active peer. Anyway, not good launch, but i believe it looks like it is not that easy to have a nice launch... Lets now start promoting this coins, everything seems to be working, so either you mine it or you leave it, the complain hour is finished now we will evaluate what went wrong and post it here. |

Turns out "lexerom" one of the original miners on the official pool is actually a leased rig from http://www.betarigs.com/rig/1249So It doesn't look good for the leafcoin guys. Could have easily purchased a rental rig. Changed the ports on the official pool and then started mining all the while believing you were covering tracks with a rental. you know what... i will give them away,... how about that? People on this thread are crazy ... like seriously.... lol you saying its not suspect as fuck that the only 3 people mining were 2 leafcoin devs and a mysterious person who rented some mining rigs while the rest of us couldn't connect? it was a genuine issue in cloudflare guys. and i already explained why we could mine. |

someone asked what a multipool is, let me explain their modus operandi;
a multipool mines the most profitable coin, a multipool typically has a lot of hashrate.
a coins profitabily is calculated using diff and number of coins generated per block. calculated is at which hashrate and in which time how many coins are generated. the result is converted into btc value.
they make a list of most profitable coins using these parameters
they sort the list, most profitable on top.
the pop off the top one... thats what they are going to mine.
the multipool has a lot of hashing power ( middlecoin over 22ghash ).. they point all that power to the most profitable coin.
the coins are mined in an instant... since diff is low.. they will be mined in an instant
then diff is pushed way up on the ladder. they do a recalc.. now another coin is more profitable. so they leave and go mine the other coin.
rinse and repeat....
they autosell the coins on cryptsy ( as we see what is happening now )
they payout in btc to their miners.
multipools are a headache to all coins having fixed retarget number of blocks.
a solution is kgw, however, this will not keep the multipools away... they will still mine a couple of blocks when diff is low.
see the sell orders at cryptsy ( the sell orders that dump right into the buy orders).
however, multipools can also be beneficial since they provide a better distribution of the coins to you and me.
