are we able to mine directly from the wallet with cpu with no additional setup?

just open the console and input:   setgenerate true   HuhHuhHuh

Yes, however this is highly inefficient (even at the first stages of the coin). I would recommend you mine with a pool. When phase2 rolls around I'll explain how mining will have to change to accommodate the built-in ASIC resistance. Don't worry, the client is programmed to handle the fork seamlessly.

I'm a little confused..

Will I be able to mine this, just like any other Scrypt coin? (Such as litecoin, earthcoin etc.)
Or will I need to modify my .conf differently? I don't want to be going crazy at the last minute trying to figure it out. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Short answer: Yes
Long answer: Yes and no. Eventually you'll have to switch out your old scrypt miner and use a scrypt-N miner (either the ones provided by VertCoin or the ones I'll provide to the community). But that's in June.

Also... you should have a different conf for each coin because they connect to different node servers... o.O

Syncoin, thanks for the respond.

Sorry, I mean't the .bat file (or .conf file in linux which is my case.), could I use the same settings as with any other scrypt coin? Or do I need change something different?  The .conf file with the nodes I won't be messing with so I'm planning to mine via a pool.

Here are my current settings:

Or I'll be able to keep the settings above and all I simply have to do is switch from my scrypt miner (bfgminer)to a scrypt N miner (such as the one provided from vertcoin)?

Sorry I'm new to the whole scrypt N thing and trying to understand it. Thanks in advance.

I'll put my 5Mh/s back here in a few mins since ruby was a failed launch.

what happened to ruby

anyways putting 80mhs back to PND, mine while difficulty is low
will make bang

The coin wasn't a complete failure, a few glitches in the wallet so DEVs decided to fix and do a re-launch, which will be announced very soon. For now it's PND for me.

STATEMENT FROM RUBYCOIN DEV TEAM

We must apologize to you tonight as we’ve been forced to schedule a relaunch of rubycoin.
Our development team is currently investigating what transpired, and we plan to issue a statement tomorrow to deliver an update of what we learn.

Before that, we’d like to make the following promises to you right now:

1. We will make this up to you.

2. We will give you a clear and concise explanation of what happened.

3. We will provide ample notice of rubycoin’s relaunch to the public. At this time our estimate is a few days.

4. We will listen to you. If you have suggestions regarding rubycoin’s relaunch please submit them here: http://www.reddit.com/r/rubycoin/comments/1y7qz1/rubycoin_relaunch_suggestions_thread/

5. The blockchain will be reset to zero before rubycoin relaunches.

6. No mining pools will be permitted to mine the coin early.

7. We are planning rubycoin giveaways to co-inside with the relaunch, over 100,000 will be up for grabs!

We would like to thank everyone for their interest and support in rubycoin. We will provide an additional update for you by 5 PM EST tomorrow.

We look forward to speaking with you soon.

The Rubycoin Team

 8. Premine enough coin to gives us back to make up for the coin that we acquired on the first launch, but is now worthless due to fail launch  Grin

There is one coin that is the most profitable coin in the crypto scene, created by wolong a known rainmaker.  Then there are the copycat coins whose entire purpose to exist is to confuse people who are trying to buy/mine PANDA, and make no money.  You choose.

PANDA is a copycat of PAND, now they blame PND of copying! what a joke!

The real PANDA is Scrypt Adaptive-N based.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=460037.0

You forgot to mention the HUGH 3% premine PANDA has VS PND 0% premine.

Stick to PND and stay away from PANDA! if you want a better investment/profit

I`ll  buy Panda under 20sat within 48hours, the pump and domp is smoothly going on yet

Maurizio, don't waste your BTC on a coin that's 3% premine, use it instead on the real Pandacoin (PND)
Your returns will be much bigger! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=464476.0

Don't trust in wolong!
