261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What coins can my computer mine? AMD A8-6410 on: May 06, 2019, 11:53:40 AM
Hi everyone. I'm new to mining and I want to try out GPU mining on my old computer. My PC has a AMD A8-6410 processor up to 2.7 GHz. What coins can I mine with this please?
It is good you are planning of entering into mining because bounties these days are not profitable and relying on it alone will not fetch you anything. Since the PC is not so powerful, you can try mining the new coins since those ones are less complex.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: the Veil Project Mining- Privacy without Compromise on: May 05, 2019, 10:17:21 PM
If you are planing of mining Veil coin then this is the right time because the project is still young and has not caught the attention of the experts yet so its quit profitable at this stage.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What coins can my computer mine? AMD A8-6410 on: May 05, 2019, 10:08:17 PM
Why do you prefer to use your personal computer for mining instead of the new one with probably updated features. If you are really serious to do mining, then you better equip yourself with powerful computer
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet hacking is it possible? on: May 05, 2019, 05:31:30 PM
Hacking is a major treat on the internet. Web wallets are very vulnerable and susceptible to hacking no matter how secure your wallet may seem. One way to minimize this treat is to avoid sharing your passphrase online or with friends. You can decide to save your assets in different wallets in order not to lose all your investment in cases of any possible hack.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VEIL : PRIVACY AT ITS BEST? on: May 05, 2019, 05:24:08 PM
Veil project is trying to bring in better innovation to the privacy-niche in cryptocurrencies, most issues with privacy coins is in its scalability - big transaction block sizes have been a problem in privacy coins, but Veil is trying to solve problem by introducing the bulletproof protocol, the bulletproof protocol aids in reducing transaction data sizes thereby aiding scalability
I believe that I have seen this topic like twice on this forum but I didn't really paid attention to it, what is this veil all about and what is it's unique feature that would make it better than many privacy coin that is already in existence or is it just another privacy coin like zcash, please you can share with us the link to the ANN thread of the project so we can check it out and also check the review of other members of the forum about the project.

if i'm not wrong veil is a privacy coins
here the announcements thread from veil https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5065331.0

It's good that it's already listed in different exchanges, but the volume needs to grow for investors notice this project.
They are running a bounty currently to spread awareness but if it will be listed in Binance, I think it will grow more.
It's a new project in the the market, but the timing is good because market is recovering now.

Of course one of the ways to increase their trading volume is to increase awareness of their project and increase their community size and that is why there are doing this bounty program. Personally I believe this project is going to be one of the best privacy coins in the crypto space.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why is it important to look at the community before investing in their coin? on: May 05, 2019, 05:03:50 PM
Joining the community helps you keep track of the progress of the project after their token sale. Most projects are being left hanging with no progress. Some team do not even respond to investors complaints and help them find solutions to it. Joining the community is a very important thing to do before investing your money into any coin
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 10,000$ - Where to invest? on: May 05, 2019, 04:53:15 PM
You may want to move out from virtual investment and invest into something physical depending on the kind of things on demand within your vicinity. Livestock investment won't be bad. You may even establish a small savings and loans firm. Just try something new with great potentials and you will make money soon.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New IEOs on Bibox. Shall we wait XXX? on: May 03, 2019, 10:41:58 PM
IEOs are now the order of the day so I won't be surprised to see Bibox too hosting one there. Investors now see IEOs to be more profitable and safer than ICOs so their attention have been shifted there
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you determine potentiality of any Altcoins? on: May 03, 2019, 10:30:18 PM
Most investors are lured into many projects because of the hype, thinking those projects that have gained so much popularity means they have good potentials. To me, a coin with a good potentials is the one that has great team and always work around the clock to achieve their roadmap
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to make money on cryptocurrency in 2019 on: May 03, 2019, 10:23:23 PM
Sticking to bounty alone cannot offer much money unless one adds extra income generating activities. Probably mining and trading will do for a start. You can add value to yourself by learning new things and that will earn you big things in life
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't follow the hype on: May 02, 2019, 02:26:40 PM
That is very true. So many projects who got the hype from many crypto enthusiasts ended up disappointing their investors. Consider the idea behind the project and not just what people are saying
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty may be an income medium for unemployed youth. on: May 02, 2019, 02:16:15 PM
Time they say is money. I don't do bounty full time but instead of wasting my free time on unprofitable activities, I will do bounties to earn extra income
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do your research before investing in ICOs on: May 02, 2019, 02:10:58 PM
You don't have to just throw your money into a project without taking your time to investigate into the project to know the mission and vision of the project and also find out if the team is real or not. You don't always have to give room for scammers
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am done with KYC on: May 02, 2019, 01:19:33 PM
KYC in crypto wouldn't have been so much of a concern if the reward was good because platforms like Facebook and twitter have also been collecting our personal details but we don't earn anything from those platforms as well
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Patience & endurance on: April 29, 2019, 01:54:06 PM
If you don't have patience, that is when you are always in a hurry to sell off your bounty tokens at a cheap price and later regret for selling them after the price surges.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Your rigs need your help on: April 29, 2019, 01:42:40 PM
It is good to perform regular cleaning of your rig but you just have to take caution not to cause any mechanical damage to the machine. If you live close to a dusty load, frequent dusting is a necessity for maintaining your machine
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Masternodes/POS the future of mining? on: April 29, 2019, 01:29:58 PM
Its very true. The proof-of-stake mining uses less electricity than the proof-of-work and it makes it more profitable and preferable to mine. I just hope these new masternode projects, like Veil for instance, brings so much improvement into the mining sector
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mining electric cost calculator on: April 29, 2019, 01:22:59 PM
This tool is a very good initiative from you mate. It will be of tremendous help to miners as they wouldn't have to go through all the stress in calculating their electrical mining cost
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is IEO Profitable than ICO's? on: April 29, 2019, 01:07:34 PM
It is not every IEO that is profitable, there are as well some ICOs that can also generate profit for investors. IEO projects can also be shit coins just like the ICOs. Crypto is not always a win win  affair, you can as well lose.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KYC Requirement for Bounty Managers before they require KYC to bounty hunters. on: April 29, 2019, 01:03:39 PM
Some projects are saying they request KYC from bounty hunters in order to identify and remove cheaters and not necessarily to identify customers.. All the same, bounties these days don't give that much so they do not worth sacrifing our identities for.
