Will you be stuck somewhere today, too?

263  Economy / Speculation / Re: so is 8.5-ish the new floor? on: July 24, 2012, 08:28:06 PM
I'll also think we'll see $3  again in the next 12 months.  We are probably a long way to from any significant stability.

If nothing MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR happens to justify such a movement the amount of support that will materialize
at even 4.3 is beyond my wildest imaginations.
Flashcrashes excluded.

The biggest trend I can see happening is that MTGOX will become mtgox and there will be constant discussion here
on the forum which exchange really is the best.

264  Economy / Speculation / Re: so is 8.5-ish the new floor? on: July 24, 2012, 08:14:57 PM
we'll see a move to 15 or 20 in August.

I agree. Simply because I finally got a friend convinced to try it. Doubling effectifly the number of Bitcoiners I know.
Now it is me and him.

I cannot say he will mine and buy as much as I but we will get there eventually.

267  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] when will the panic buying begin? on: July 19, 2012, 06:49:37 AM
I think this fall/winter we will have another financial crisis...this could spark many things

no need to wail till fall.

Just look at Germany tomorrow. Germans will have to "save" Spanish banks.
That alone is bad. But what will make for the FUD icing is that it is not decided
who will have to pay for the credit the Germans give to Spanish banks if they cannot
pay it back. Germans want the Spanish goverment to inshure it and the Spanish goverment
will say "WHY?"
Just lean back and watch
268  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] when will the panic buying begin? on: July 19, 2012, 06:18:25 AM
after those who sold into the rally get over their initial euphoria and get a strong visceral sensation
that the dollar ain't what it used to be.

I doubt that there will be much panic buying because of reward halfing.

What counts is what the ASICS owners do with their coins.
269  Economy / Speculation / Re: For Those Wondering Why The Current Rally on: July 18, 2012, 11:36:48 AM
It is likely that increases in liquidity will be met by more liquidity later.

+1

This is basically the wisdom of the ages. As the bitcoiners themself get more wealthy they cannot help
but attract more wealth from arround them.
270  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just got a 7770, how to downclock video memory in windows? on: July 18, 2012, 09:50:51 AM
I suggest you save yourself a lot of work and hassle and use the
Radeon Bios Editor together with WinFlash.
Both progs can be easily googled and downloaded and tutorials
are also easy to find.

enjoy
271  Economy / Speculation / Re: @8.50, do you buy or sell? on: July 18, 2012, 07:53:09 AM
Should be how much percent will you hold/buy/sell

As a hardcore bull I find this kind of threads disturbing.
There I said it.
I find your lack of commitment to the coin disturbing.

To me bitcoin is about building a global economy that is
in easy reach for everyone sufficiently tech-literate for this
century.

not buthurt though. Speculators will speculate
272  Economy / Lending / Re: Bitcoin Saving and Trust Partner accounts on: July 18, 2012, 06:36:04 AM
Please let me get this correct:

You will or already do have an account with PS&T and decided to offer us 6.9% interest by passing it through,
while you take essentially 0.1% per weak on our money without having anything to loose?

Can you at least bring grand M. Pirate to assure us that you have deposited with him?
273  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was jump due to new Gawker SR article? on: July 17, 2012, 10:15:26 AM
Article was posted on JUL 16, 2012 7:44 PM in their timezone which i cannot specify which it is. Someone in the US please?
274  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sounds of Gox (the last 24 hours) on: July 17, 2012, 10:02:11 AM
I really enjoyed this. Thank you

Suggest though it goes offtopic
275  Economy / Speculation / Was jump due to new Gawker SR article? on: July 17, 2012, 09:40:23 AM
I submit to you an article that was posted about 9 hours ago:

http://gawker.com/5926440/are-authorities-closing-in-on-the-online-drug-market-silk-road

while this article sports a good amount of FUD it is still possible that we are right now
riding the waves of a Gawker Media Pump and Dump attempt. I certainly will not put it past them.

277  Economy / Currency exchange / 1.5% over exchange with moneybookers 1x small amount on: July 12, 2012, 05:55:16 PM
I would like to buy bitcoin for 67.94 EURO and pay with moneybookers\skrill

I am willing to pay up to 1.5% over exchange cause I only have a silver account
on bitcoin.de and cannot use moneybookers anymore.
Time is somewhat important because i want some of the new cognitive GLBSE shares that
will be offered.

I think my forum record speaks for itself and I expect someone with similar postcount or more.

Please PM

278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin from pennies to nickels and dimes now! on: July 08, 2012, 11:21:11 AM
First guy with an ASIC spends one day and kills all the alternative chains Cheesy:D:D
279  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: [Poll]Will you be switching to ASIC? on: July 07, 2012, 07:09:01 AM
I will sit this one out and see how well they are really doing.
Perhaps even sit out how things behave around the halfing of reward.

By then I will be able to have an informed opinion about the difficulty and assumed
profitability.

In the meantime i might up the amount of shares of cognitive mining (GLBSE) since they
will be among the first adopters.
280  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can mining be profitable? (I think I´m missing a point...) on: June 29, 2012, 10:10:01 AM
I think you are Ok informed.

Certainly the numbers are no longer accurate.

With ASICs around the corner ANY move you make right now is very speculative and you do take quite a bit of risk.
Making any 10 month commitment - including buying Bitcoins at current market rate IS SPECULATION.

Bottom line is: GPUs are still bringing in some money. Certainly not 800-900$ per month.
So if you already have everything at home besides the right GPU buying a USED mining-grade card
especially if you have use for it besides mining is still something to look at with a good risk benefit ratio.

Alternative is buying share on the Global Bitcoin Stock Exchange (GLBSE.com) of a mining company. But you run
risk of lower returns and falling stock prices, too.
