261  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: August 07, 2017, 01:06:23 PM
Hi, I was wondering if I should quit my job and focus more on bitcoins? Because I think it might get me even richer without a job?  Grin
Don't quit job immediately.Just do your job and use your spare time to indulge in bitcoin either by working in signature campaigns or by investing in some good altcoins and trading.Do both side by side.Once you gain confidence and you start earning in bitcoins equal to your salary, then you decide about quitting your job.I'm suggesting you the method which i followed. Now,i have left my job in Dubai and earning in bitcoins more than my previous salary and living a happy life.
262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Outlawed: Get Away from Bitcoin or Be Imprisoned! on: August 07, 2017, 01:00:50 PM
Its already under action in Bangladesh. They have a law using which they can even imprison a person if found using bitcoins.I don't understand the contrast between japan,a technologically developed country legalizes bitcoin and Bangladesh,an under developed country goes to the extent of imprisoning a bitcoiner. But thanks to the indian government, they are taking steps in favour of bitcoin legalization.
263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers have stolen my money on: August 07, 2017, 12:54:41 PM
Sorry to hear, but your BTC has gone for ever. You should had been careful with your hard earned money. Its irreversible. You should not disclose your password to any one at any time.Scams are getting more nowadays.Last week,a person downloaded wallet from Electrum wallet.com instead of official website and lost his 40 BTC.So,we have to be very much careful.
264  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin for all levels of society, without any difference on: August 06, 2017, 12:26:49 PM
Bitcoin is decentralized so that whoever you are from wherever you are rich or poor, you are free to use bitcoin for any purpose. Bitcoin is freely used for anyone. anywhere

What is your response with this opinion?
Its true but for it to become practical, some basic essentials should be satisfied.Bitcoin users should be able to have a laptop or pc and i think its hard for very poor people to satisfy this requirement.next, access to internet which could not be expected to be available in all parts of the world in today's situation as under developed countries don't have good internet facilities.Unless these requirements are met, bitcoin could not be expected to be used by people of all levels of society.
265  Economy / Economics / Re: Will third world country hold their foreign reserve in bitcoin against Dollar? on: August 06, 2017, 12:18:56 PM
Dollar is what is affecting development in most of the third world currencies. I keep on saying that the only way to destroy the strength of dollars on the third  world countries' currencies is by using bitcoin as a gold standard for their individual country currency.
Its true but it will take a long time for such countries to hold bitcoins as foreign reserve currency. For that, bitcoin has to be used every where and it has to be legalized.Even now, itself, iran  is discussing to use bitcoin as secondary currency to bye pass US sanctions.Iran,China,Russia,North korea,Cuba might adopt bitcoin instead of dollar as their relationship with US is not that good and most of these countries are signing bilateral agreements to pay in otheir own currrencies while trading among themselves. But it would take a long time to happen all over the world.
266  Economy / Economics / Re: Monkeys trading rocks on: August 06, 2017, 12:11:37 PM
Its the demand which gives value to bitcoin and the increasing demand due to which we believe that bitcoin value would exist tomorrow also.Bitcoin is got by solving mathematical algorithms a a result of which transactions are confirmed, the process which is called as mining.Bitcoin is far better than the paper currencies which is just a piece of paper which we believe has value since government says that it would pay the value in exchange and which is printed without any limits thus devaluing it.Also, bitcoin could not be devalued suddenly just as indian government did in high value notes.Thats why people prefer to hold than paper currency.
267  Economy / Economics / Re: How long could bitcoin last? on: August 06, 2017, 11:40:55 AM
Bitcoin would exist until people are ready to buy it and demand remains in the market. We could see day by day, demand for bitcoin increases and bitcoin price following it.We have seen obituary of bitcoin through out the internet many times, but every time bitcoin performed very well.Even now, recently during BU and BCC issues also, bitcoin still remains in the first place unbeatable. So,bitcoin may exist for long time.
268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges decision to support Bcash might backfire now and help BTC on: August 05, 2017, 02:51:01 PM
Why would you want to support a new Alt coin, if you know people will only be hyping/pumping the price in the beginning and other people will be dumping it for BTC and Fiat? This will have a significant impact on your bank balance, when you allow trades during this "Pump" period.

Yes, you might get the advantage that new users will join your exchange, because you are the only exchange accepting Bcash trades, but those users will leave once they dumped their Bcash for cash or BTC.

If I were a exchange owner, I would just sit back and wait for other exchanges to take the knock and jump in later when the price is much lower. < Like Coinbase is doing >

It makes no sense to be a early adopter of a coin that are pumped to shit in the early days. ^hmmmmm^

The BTC price will also be less volatile with everyone buying & selling BCC/BCH and not buying & selling BTC.
Coin base investors ar already not happy with its decision of not supporting BCC.Some have even threatened that they would even sue against it for not giving them their free BCC.Kraken had also taken the same decision before. But now,Coin base has said that it would allow BCC trading in order to attract more customers who are willing to sell their BCC as they are not able to find any platforms or exchanges to sell BCC.Poloniex has already said that they would wait and watch and then decide. But till now, they have not announced any thing.
269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So many BTC, we are far away from Satoshi Nakamoto's idea on: August 05, 2017, 02:40:12 PM
Eventually, either one of these coins (BTC or BCH) will establish itself as the market leader, and claim the top spot in the market capitalization. But it is not all bad news. Before the split, the BTC exchange rate was 1BTC = $2,800. Now the combined (1BTC + 1BCH) exchange rates are around $3,300. It is all gain for holders of BTC/BCH.
See,the price of BTC alone is $3,209 now and there is no need to add the price of that shit coin BCC.BTC has performed very well after hard fork despite negative predictions by some people.BCC price is falling down rapidly and it could not be a substitute for bitcoin. Some people like Roger ver have become antichrist of bitcoin while they were earlier bitcoin jesus and all the nonsense in bitcoin environment is due to the greed of such people.
270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is decentralised nature of bitcoins really good ? on: August 05, 2017, 02:03:48 PM
Bitcoin is created by satoshi as a decentralized currency. Some times, before bitcoin seemed to be like a little bit centralized in mining since china had the most mining farms. So they were even able to manipulate bitcoin price to some extent by dumping their bitcoins. But now after actions taken by PBOC,bitcoin is no more dominated by chinese gamblers. It is the decentralized nature of bitcoin due to which it has remained uncontrolled by any governments or bankers.Only due to this decentralized nature, bitcoin's value could not be devalued by any one just like indian government did by demonitizing high value notes.Thats why bitcoin has gained trust among investors world wide.
271  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does the current ATH price reflect Segwit? on: August 05, 2017, 01:44:21 PM
Yes,definitely.Price should have reached this stage much before itself. But due to FUDs and news about hard fork and BTC price would crash and BCC would take the place of BTC,all these happenings delayed the price rise of bitcoin but could not stop Bitcoin's price rise.Just the price rise has begun and more hike is yet to come in the following days.I hope that bitcoin could cross $4000 soon.
272  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: August 02, 2017, 11:39:46 AM
Bitcoin could not replace dollars soon because it has just finished its initial eight years.USD has been enjoying the position as global reserve currency since past seventy years from the day when oil rich countries OPEC decided to sell petrol only for dollars.USD is known to every one all over the world unlike bitcoin.Bitcoin has been just now legalized in japan and it has to be legalized in most of other countries all over the world for it to be used as USD and for that to happen, bitcoin has to go a long journey.
273  Economy / Economics / Re: could bitcoin be replaced by another crypto currency? on: August 02, 2017, 11:32:59 AM
Today, its very hard to find an altcoin which has the potential to replace bitcoin.High transaction fee problem has been almost solved by segwit implementation. At first, ethereum was considered as the best competitor but due to hard fork,it got split into ETH and ETC and it failed to deliver the expected results.Monero and zcash too were expected since they provided full anonymity while bitcoin was just pseudo anonymous, but they too failed to compete with bitcoin.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question regarding Bitcoin Cash on: August 02, 2017, 08:53:00 AM
I am deciding to import my keys to claim Bitcoin Cash but before this I have a query. Suppose I transferred my BTC from cold storage A to cold storage B. Now I can use cold storage A to claim BCC. But after I claim BCC, address belonging to cold storage A can be use to receive BTC in future or it becomes my address for receiving BCC?

A saw a post from theymos against using the wallet (cold storage A in this case) again to receive BTC. There is a possibility that the BCC guys may use your private keys to steal your Bitcoins from the wallet, although the chances are extremely low.
Absolutely, you should use totally a new wallet to claim BCC since they might need your wallet's private keys to give BBC.So,never use your old wallet to claim BCC.Just use your old wallet for BTC alone.
275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Unemployed Drives People to go to Bitcoin on: August 02, 2017, 08:48:59 AM
There is nothing wrong in that.Instead of waiting for the government and private jobs, people have just started to use bitcoins to earn.By this way, they become self sufficient and they no more depend on any one for their living.Even the unemployed youth of most under developed african countries also get equal opportunity to earn in bitcoins,to trade in bitcoins.Bitcoins would definitely help to improve the standard of living of many people all over the world.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex has given users their BCC 1:1 on: August 02, 2017, 08:35:10 AM
I just checked my bittrex account this morning and noticed I have been given BCC at 1:1 of the BTC I had. Interesting!
Though the BCC wallet is still under maintenance on the website so I am not sure it can be exchanged yet but I guess they eventually kept to their promise. Any other exchange that has kept to theirs?

EDITED: It can be traded, but until the wallet maintenance is done, you cannot deposit or withdraw the BCC.
It seems great luck for you guys who have deposited your bitcoins in bittrex exchange.but try your best to sell it as soon as possible because most of BCC holders are getting ready to dump their coins to get some quick extra cash.I have kapt my bitcoins in my electrum wallet and so i have missed the chance of getting BCC.
277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on? Bitcoin for the rich only? on: August 02, 2017, 08:29:23 AM
What's going on? Bitcoin for the rich only
Who says bitcoin just for the rich ... it's wrong opinion because bitcoin can be owned and played for all groups both rich and poor as long as there is a will there must be a way

I am strongly agree with you. For me, bitcoin is not only for rich people it can also be in all society. Anyone can have a bitcoin even a children, teenager, women, men, adults as long as we owned bitcoin. I disagree to those people who says that bitcoin is for reach only, Because we all have rights to have that just like a physical money.
Yes,bitcoin is for every one.OP has said that BTC is only for rich since transaction fee has become very high and so poor would not be able to pay it.But that transaction fee problem has almost been solved with segwit activation and now every one is free to send bitcoin with very low transaction fee.Every one even belonging to most under developed country could use bitcoins but what is needed is a laptop or pc and access to internet.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BTC cash an altcoin? on: August 02, 2017, 08:23:25 AM
Yes,it would remain just an altcoin.BCC developers tried to develop it as a substitute for bitcoin but due to lack of support,it have to just remain as an altcoin.Even most of those who get BCC equal to BTC are also ready to just dump their BCC as soon as possible and buy BTC with it.So BCC would remain alive for only few days.
279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fees reduced thanks to BCC/BCH fork? on: August 01, 2017, 02:01:15 PM
Since many bitcoiner and bitcoin services decide not to make transaction, i've seen that recent block size has been reduced and only few transactions are unconfirmed .
In fact, website such as http://bitcoinfees.21.co/ now recommend optimal bitcoin transaction fee only 40 satoshis/byte or 9,040 satoshis for median transaction.

Do you think bitcoin transaction fees can stay low even after SegWit is activated and BCC/BCH fork completed?

I think transaction fees will go to "normal amounts" once BitcoinCash has successfully failed  Wink

I really hope fees will be like now when segwit solution is fully applied  Smiley
Yes,BCC is sure to fail and transaction fee would get reduced to normal at that time.It has been already advised not to do any transactions since there is a chance of hard fork now.Already, the transaction fee has come low due to segwit activation. We would not be able to forget those days when very high transaction fee was charged one month ago due to spammers sending spam transactions. However, the greatest issue of bitcoin of high transaction fee has been solved.
280  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to transfer BTCs from one exchange to another exchange wallet on: August 01, 2017, 12:30:53 PM
So I just chose the withdraw option on Poloniex and gave the Bittrex's provided BTC wallet address. Is the transfer going to work or have I just done something stupid?

P.S. The status on poloniex transaction is "complete" however the status on bittrex still shows pending. Is this normal? Any ideas how long this will take?
Its quite normal. There is no problem in sending bitcoins from on exchange wallet to another exchange's wallet. What you need is a valid btc address and no one bothers whether it is a exchange wallet address or a dsktop btc wallet address. It would normally take five to ten minutes to get confirmed.Since transaction fee problem has been almost solved now,it would even get confirmed soon.
