Many thanks to Joe,Mr.Alan Yong,Chase,Ken and all Dnotes team for support.

All real projects need to be united and help each other on their way to final adoption.

Best,

Nele

Nele, we are always happy to see you. I am in total agreement with you that, "All real projects need to be united and help each other on their way to final adoption."

I have been deeply involved in many different industries but have never came across an industry that is so loaded with issues and bad actors as ours. There are many great projects, but they are out-numbered by a lot of questionable ones often launched to make some quick bucks for a small group of people.

That "quick buck" mentality has led to a lot of ridiculous pricing of services, products, advertising, marketing, consulting, ICO advisory services, listing on an exchange, speaking/sponsorship and more. Some of them want more than "an arm and a leg". Someone recently offered to write two articles for us for $25,000. And customer experience has mostly "gone to hell". The "take it or leave it - not my problem" attitude is so pronounced it is a big turn-off to customer experience. My sense is that many of the little guys will be pushed out of the market, including some great projects.

We are relentlessly, committed to lead by example and will be delighted to work with our industry peers to see that legitimate players in our industry are given a chance and treated with fairness and respect.

After all, DNotes is about inclusiveness and giving everyone a fair chance.

Nele, feel free to let us know if there is anything that we can be helpful.

Best Regards to you and your team at Game Credits.

Alan

$25,000 for two articles? Hey, I can beat that. I'll only charge half of that (LOL)...

Well, I actually spent at least that much to write my book, get it published, and give it to DNotes Global 100% royalty free so that all of  DNotes stakeholders and other entrepreneur can benefit from it.

Having said that, this shows the madness of our industry. It is totally out of control. Greed is overwhelming that better side of humanity.

This is a real technology revolution that presents a generational opportunity for the entire world. We cannot let a small minority hijack a vital technology breakthrough that could contribute significantly to the better good of mankind.

Personally, I wish investors will start spending more time to understand what they are investing in. If it is not researchable and verifiable, be care and only proceed with caution.

Oh yeah, the block reward is always Current Total Coins / 525,600 * .02.

Not exactly on the earnings part.
All coins are proportionally equal in terms of the reward value. However, your reward percentage varies based on how many total coins are staking.

For instance, roughly 1/3 of all coins are staking right now, so let's use that for our example, and let's use 150,000,000 for the figure for total coins.
We know that 2% of 150,000,000 will be distributed over the coarse of the year. Which is 3,000,000 coins.
If 100% of the coins were being staked, everyone would receive 2% (more because of the compounding element, but let's keep it simple and exclude it)
But where only 1/3 of all coins are being staked, 50,000,000, the reward doesn't change just the distribution. So each user would earn 6% (again excluding compounding).

Ah, even better. So far what I've noticed is around 50 million coins staking at any one time, with occasional surges where more coins are staking for brief periods of time.

So... the bottom line is that all of my coins (regardless of how the inputs are) should be earning 2% if all coins in circulation are staking and 6 percent if 1/3 coins are staking (and every possibility in between depending on network weight). Mainly, I should send them to the addresses I want and then leave them alone. Right? It will all balance out over time.

Sounds great, wiser. Looks like you are having fun, learning, and earning a great rate of return. Pretty hard to beat that. I hope many of our stakeholders will learn from you and join in to have some fun and nice earnings. Based on all the good things we are doing, DNotes has significant potential for appreciation as well. Getting DNotes listed on other exchanges, funding, and promoting my book are now among my highest priorities.

I had a fantastic interview with Ric Bratton of This Week in America yesterday. He is extremely knowledgeable about business, bitcoin, and DNotes. We ended up talking a lot about DNotes. I have done four shows so far with 5 more confirmed and more to come. I have also received requests for written articles and requests for print interviews. Perhaps because of these exposures, I am seeing an up tick in request for LinkedIn connections from senior executives of major companies, publications, and top business schools.

I have no doubt that strategically, DNotes is the best positioned brand to gain mass adoption in our industry. DNotes is a long-term investment. Once we start gaining momentum, I believe that DNotes will become widely available in many of the bigger exchanges. Meanwhile we are reaching out to every exchange.

I know! I couldn't explain to them why one has the Circulating/Total and DNotes only has Circulating. Thanks for giving me something to pass along. I think what your saying is DNotes has 153M Total. That way if it ever hits the market it isn't a surprise and no drop in price when it happens. So let's say OMG finally lets their extra into the market, I think that will lower the price until it catches back up. Correct? That would be the way I see it. So leaving it at 153M no matter what would be the way to go, and if there ever is an advertised burn off the number would be adjusted from there. I think that is how it works. I'm learning on the run. Thanks Everyone.

Great discussion going on. It makes the most sense to report the full amount in circulation. That is the equivalent of “issued shares” in the corporate world. Any other way would only create more confusion. Our industry is already plenty confused.

As an example, most people still think that DNotes is doing an ICO. No, we are not. DNotes is not and has never been involved in any ICOs. Instead, GNotes Global, Inc. is preparing for a Reg. A+ Mini-IPO Tier 2 to raise up to $50 million from accredited and non-accredited investors worldwide. This is a costly and time-consuming process that must be “Qualified” by the SEC before we can accept any investment.

Meanwhile, we have been working on the first funding round using Reg. D 506 (c) to raise up to $5 million from accredited investors to fund our continued software development and the Mini-IPO.

Regarding exchanges for DNotes – I am glad that Cryptopia will be listing DNotes 2.0 on May 12, 2018. Although not ideal, I think that is still our best case so far. Because of the ICO craze, our industry has changed dramatically. My sense is that most of the smaller coins will be squeezed out. That is not a surprising outcome. When the dust settled, only a small number will survive. We have always positioned DNotes to be one of the few to survive the test of time. Over the longer-term, many surviving exchanges will want to list DNotes.

This is awesome company

Thank you Kurrie. This is an awesome company behind an awesome coin.

Now that DNotes 2.0 has been successfully launched, investors will soon recognize that based on our track records, vision, technical knowledge and capabilities we are totally capable of being one of the technology leaders in our industry. To that extent DNotes is perhaps undervalued relative to our industry peers.

Unique cross-ownership model:

As a whole DNotes stakeholders own 25% (before dilution) of DNotes Global, Inc. currently working on two rounds of funding - Reg D 506 (c) to raise $5 million from accredited investors, and a second round using Reg. A+ Mini-IPO Tier 2 to raise up to $50 million from accredited and non-accredited investors worldwide. Upon successful completion, this will add significant intrinsic value to DNotes.

DNotes is a big, bold vision of global scale: to create a truly inclusive supplemental currency that is accessible to everyone in the world. To realize that vision, we have worked relentlessly to build a trusted brand; invaluable in financial services and founded DNotes Global, Inc to help carry on its many vital missions.

Realistically, mass acceptance of digital currency cannot be achieved in isolation, small scale, inadequate funding, unsettled vision, and wrong timing. Arnold H. Glasow said it best when he said, “Success is simple. Do what’s right, the right way, at the right time.” DNotes is guided by these simple principles and much of the teachings from my book: “Improve Your Odds – The Four Pillars of Business Success.”

https://fourpillarsofbusinesssuccess.com/

I trust that you will find that we have painstakingly built a sound foundation using the most strategic path to reach our vision of mass acceptance of DNotes in global commerce. If you can see what we see, I trust you will be convinced that this takes a very complex ecosystem well engineered and perfectly executed at the right time. Our white paper will give you an overall view of what we have already accomplished and the many remaining tasks on our roadmap in our long journey towards the mass acceptance of DNotes:

White paper: https://dnotesglobal.com/white-paper/

I sincerely believe that this is a generational opportunity for everyone worldwide. Anyone can support our good cause by helping us to spread our message. We are selflessly committed to the benefits of everyone trusting that together be can help change the world for the better.

We also make it easy for investors to participate by specifically owning DNotes, DNotes Global or both. But even if you own just one or the other, our cross-ownership model takes care of your ownership in both entities.

Important: DNotes is not and has never been involved in any ICOs.

DNotes Global, Inc. is preparing to launch a Reg. A+ Mini-IPO Tier 2 when "Qualified" based on the SEC rules under the JOBS Act.

Please refer to our white paper for more details: https://dnotesglobal.com/white-paper/

I also want to say this. I missed out on swapping 1.5 mill whitecoins because I was overseas. It was alot of money I lost out on. So please respect your early adopters and have a grace period. Not everyone is capable of following, and they should not lose out as I did.  I do like a good coin burn, but be careful of who actually gets burned.

We are doing everything we can to ensure late comers can still swap. The biggest challenge will be for those who don't own their DNotes in their own wallet by the 16th. The process for post April 16th swaps will be lengthy and cumbersome as well, so we are hoping to have mostly everyone taken care of by the 16th.

Vujk, I am sorry to hear about your lose of 1.5 million whitecoins. That is most unfortunate. I have personally lost a lot of money in different cases - quite a sick feeling.

It is our wish that no legitimate owners of DNotes will be left behind beyond the April 16th soft dead line. The verification will be complex and time consuming with long wait time. However, there must be a cut off date sometime on the future, to be announced later. Meanwhile, 75% of the unclaimed DNotes will be used as DNotes guarantee funds, so that 25% will be available to support coin swaps that may continue to come in.

We appreciate every DNotes stakeholder for their support no matter how many DNotes they own. One day many more will appreciate DNotes as the trusted brand dedicated to the benefit of everyone.

I agree with a hard deadline. Your team sends emails, unlike some other shady coins, read up. I am glad to be on board. The vision outways the price of a coin.  ICO's are done, what you guys are doing , thats the future, and wil be the new standard. I see value in that.

Thank you, Vujk. We are a hard working team doing a lot of things behind the scene to build a solid brand to the benefits of everyone. If you have not done so be sure to read our Pitch Deck and White Paper HERE: Pitch Deck: https://dnotesglobal.com/PitchDeck.pptx

White paper: https://dnotesglobal.com/white-paper/

It is important to understand that DNotes is not and has never been involved in any ICOs. That distinction is important to remain as a digital token and not be at risk of being labeled as a "security token", the sale of which is illegal unless registered or exempt with the SEC.

I wish that ICOs can be structured and conducted in manners that meet existing security laws, either through registration or exemption. Unfortunately, without significant changes to existing laws, it is simply not possible. To date, the issuers of ICO tokens are exclusively decentralized entities without any central authority. However, the money collected goes to individuals, partnership or incorporated companies purportedly are working on some great ideas presented in a white paper. The investors have no ownership or voting rights in the private entity that received the investment.

Here is the conundrum. Technologies often get ahead of regulations. In the case of ICOs, way ahead, and in a massive way. Over $6 billion has been raised worldwide. None of the ICOs have been registered with the SEC. Unlike corporate shares, there are no provisions, existing rules, and regulations governing decentralized entities. Furthermore, SEC does not have the means of obtaining and maintaining full disclosure of all essential information that are important for the investors to make an informed decision.

SEC Chairman Jay Clayton recently made this statement: “Investors should understand that to date no initial coin offerings have been registered with the SEC.”  https://www.crowdfundinsider.com/2017/12/125792-sec-chairman-jay-clayton-issues-statement-initial-coin-offerings-cryptocurrencies/

I understand that it is very frustrating, as ICOs can be an amazing contributor to capital formation. Granted that being the case, it is still a bad idea to engage in ICOs that are clearly deemed illegal unless registered or exempt with the SEC. This could end badly. I fear that this is the greatest risk confronting our industry.

There are distinct options of raising funds by selling securities in support of the token or coin legally. In the case of DNotes, we believe that Reg. A+ Mini-IPO Title IV Tier 2 is the ideal option for us. And we have been planning for it for over two years using an incorporated company, DNotes Global, Inc.

To protect consumers the SEC, requires the filing of a registration statement with full disclosure of all relevant information along with two years audited financial statements - subject to on-going reporting as the means of making available all information for investors to make an informed investment decision. We believe that as much as this is burdensome, it is also essential to protect investors.

We are unique in different ways. Related to this subject, our cross ownership is very unique. As a whole, DNotes Stakeholders own 25%  (before dilution) of DNotes Global, Inc. a "C" corporation, incorporated in the state of Delaware. In turn, DNotes Global own 20,000, 000 DNotes. This cross ownership will go a long way in the success of DNotes and DNotes Global.

DNotes Global is working on two rounds of funding. Our first round is Reg. D 506 (c) to raise up to $5 million from accredited investors to fund  our software development, continuing operations, and the high cost of launching our second funding round - A+ Mini-IPO - to raise up to $50 million from accredited and non-accredited investors worldwide.

All the details are spelled out in out white paper HERE: https://dnotesglobal.com/white-paper/

Been on board ever since you announced that partnership with Geneca a few months ago,, what can I say – promising project, solid work all around, great team. What more could you possibly want from an ICO?

I have been also. Love the communication and the knowledge from the team. This has to be one of the most undervalued coins at the moment.  Wink

Thank you vujk!

We appreciate your trust and confidence in our team, vujk. You are correct that DNotes is one of the most undervalued coins. Perhaps it will not remain that way for too much longer.

Do you know that Huobi ExChange is coming to the US? This is just an indication that the cryptocurrency exchange market is not only rapidly evolving but becoming more competitive. However, their “Golden Rule” still applies, (He who holds the gold makes the rule).

And as you can imagine, some have rules and demands that are beyond absurd. As the leadership and management of DNotes, our commitment is to ensure that DNotes 2.0 will be listed on multiple exchanges as the opportunities become available.

Meanwhile, some patience is in order, while your DNotes 2.0 continue to multiple every 30 days.

As a clue, I have never seen so much interest in DNotes from the major exchanges. Let’s stay the course and continue to do what is best and right for the long-term interest of all our stakeholders.

Formerly Top Cryptocurrency Exchange Huobi To Open Office In US
By Helen Partz
Jan. 31st, 2018

Huobi, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges that was originally founded in China, has revealed its plans to open an office in San Francisco. The announcement took place during the Blockchain Connect conference Friday, Jan. 26.

Blockchain Connect, an event that focused on the cooperation between the US’ and China’s cryptocurrency markets, took place on Friday, Jan. 26 in San Francisco.

The Huobi exchange was one of the presenters at the conference, during which they have announced their intention to start doing business in the United States. The company’s new office is already under construction in the Silicon Valley.

“The U.S. will be our focus right now,” said Huobi’s Chief Strategy Officer Cai Kailong.

Founded in 2013, Huobi Group provides exchange services in Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan and other countries. The company was forced to leave China, its original jurisdiction, after local regulators demanded all cryptocurrency exchanges to close in September 2017.
In December 2017, Huobi announced a partnership with Japan’s financial conglomerate SBI Group in order to help the latter launch its own cryptocurrency exchange.

Just wanted to add something very important about wallets from the previous discussion that most people don't understand: There are NO "coins" in your wallet, none. even if you have a wallet balance of 1,000,000 Dnotes, there are NO coins in your wallet. The somewhat misnamed "Wallet" is simple a piece of software that stores your address and reads the Blockchain of the token it was designed to work with. It's more like a bank's web app that shows your balance and allows you to manipulate that balance by depositing and withdrawing. Wallets add the function of sending and receiving to other users of the currency they were designed to work with. Some banking apps do this as well but, in a cumbersome, slow manor if at all.

For the purposes of THIS post, all a wallet does in regards to your "balance" is to read the blockchain and pull out all transaction records that match your address. The blockchain holds your balance, not the wallet. The only thing standing between you and your funds being lost/stolen etc are your password and private keys. If these are weak or, stored where others can reach them, game over.

In crypto, above all else, good security is mandatory. If you have multiple coins and wallets, DON'T use the same password for all and DO make your passwords long and complicated. It will save you from a real disappointment some morning in the future.

Thank you very much, RJF. That is a great explanation everyone can understand.

I just sent an email to DNotes and am waiting for an answer about something crazy that just happened in my wallet after putting in that key earlier. I put it in and it immediately was sent somewhere and then I have a "received with" that perfectly equals another line that showed up with 1046.14 the key was worth 253.86 this equals 1300 notes. That show "received with" in the type box. But does not show up in my Dashboard as a total. So I am confused.
When I put the key in it never got logged in as received with. Just sent to. then the 1300 showed up, but not in my total. it still says 0. Crazy.

I just confused myself typing this. hahaha

No worries, The Chezzz. We will figure it out. Joe is at a meeting. He will look into to it later this evening.

Good to see that you have so much fun with DNotesEDU treasure hunt.

I know that makes a lot of work, I'm a developer myself.
But the coin is like a fast car
(Porsche, Ferrari  :-))
If you do not have highways to drive it out, it will not work.
And I think DNOTE 2. 0 is a Porsche !!!  :-)

Great analogy! We may have to drive through a few road blocks then. Hah.

No worries, we are here to make sure everyone can benefit from the success of DNotes, and we will continue to do everything in our power to make DNotes a success. Otherwise, we should have given up before even starting.

I like Porsche. There are quite a few them + 1,500 others driving down a "me too" common highway with many incidents of "crushed and burnt".

DNotes is on a different highway far less traveled but straight to the mountain top. There is one catch. We cut and blaze our trail and build our own highways. And there will be tolls in the future. This may be the right time to join us for an almost a free ride, lol. Unless you like to get crushed and burnt like others.

Hello, do you have some informations to give us about exchange, i'am sorry,  but Dnotes really sounds great , but for the moment we do not know anything about future...
it seems like cryptopia will delist it...after poloniex already did it some months ago..

if we can't sell or trade it...what the point ?

The price is always worst and worst, i am in from a long time... but when it trades around 230 sats on yobit...i just have some tears into my eyes..

Sorry for the poor english, i do my best : )

Hi karayo,

Your English is fine - I understand you perfectly.  Smiley

Cryptopia has delisted DNotes 1.0 at our request because of the transition to DNotes 2.0. Everyone has been advised to remove their coins from the exchanges or risk losing them (to the exchange). Poloniex, on the other hand was out of the blue and for no good reason - there were a lot of coins with less volume than ours. I'm sure the new ownership will bring a good sense of business with it, and be impressed with DNotes' uniqueness in the industry.

It is to be expected that there will be a drop in volume and price while DNotes is making the switch. We have to remember that the miners are still dumping DNotes on the market, but that will end in a few days as DNotes transitions to proof of stake.

There is a lot of work being done to get listed on different exchanges, and every request made by a community member to an exchange is one step closer to getting DNotes listed.

 Smiley

Please be sure to have your DNotes off of the exchanges before April 16th.

It is imperative that if you wish to participate in the swap for DNotes 2.0, now or in the future, that you remove your coins from the exchanges prior to April 16th. Leaving your coins on the exchange means that the exchange controls your coins, and not you. We will of course make every effort to help you swap your coins but we cannot make any guarantees that we can recover coins that are not in your control.

I just checked out Cryptopia. The following message was display:

Market Closing

NOTE/BTC market is closing, please cancel any open orders and withdraw your coins.

Please withdraw your DNotes from Cryptopia and any other exchange immediately if you have not done so. It must be done before April 16, 2018. Always remember, he who controls the wallet controls the coin. We can not help to swap your coin if you do not control the wallet.

Thank you, Chase. That is a reasonable and informative response. We are working out details to have DNotes 2.0 listed on Cryptopia by early next week.  We are also actively working with a number of other large and small exchanges. I can tell you at this point that there is a lot of interest in listing DNotes, but it will come at a very high cost.

Furthermore, a lot of the information required are absurd, duplicative, and overly burdensome. I would speculative that it could be easier to get a FBI clearance. I think that our industry is heading towards a different extreme - towards lunacy with no clear objectives or reasons why they are doing what the are doing. I believe that, at the end of the day, only a few well managed and trustworthy exchanges will survive. We need to be one of those exchanges, focusing on very specific markets at the beginning before expanding worldwide.

They are so much easier to find when you are actually researching and learning. Thank you DNotes for giving us the opportunity to learn for free and making it fun.

Goodness, you guys seem to be having a lot of fun while I am struggling to develop our Reg. D 506 (c) PPM with our law firms. Making a lot of progress though. We have increased the first round from $2.5 million to $5 million followed by Reg. A+ Mini-IPO Tier 2 to raise up to $50 million from accredited and non-accredited investors worldwide.

That is great to hear that you are making progress in a field that requires much diligence and expertise. The larger funding level will allow larger firms to work with us and make our second raise for 50m easier!

That is correct. Reg. D 506 (c) is relatively straightforward but we are using it as our stepping stone to our second round. One of the same firms will start be working on the second round as soon as we get close to the $2 million marks. I always believe that to be successful in business -  planning, strategies and execution are vital. Since the success of DNotes is important to all of us, I have been reaching deep into my tool box and use every tool needed to make our funding a success. I feel very good about.

If you are looking for a trustworthy cryptocurrency project to invest in, find one that discloses all in a Regulation A+ mini-IPO!  Wink

The reasons ICOs won't use Regulation A+ mini-IPO:

#1 - $50 million is the limit on how much they can raise

#2 - Company must be based in the U.S. or Canada (oddly enough both countries have investor protection laws😉)

#3 - The company needs to file an offering statement with the SEC that includes the following information -  "material risks; plan of distribution; use of proceeds; description of the business operations; discussion of financial condition and results of operations (MD&A); disclosure about directors, executives and key employees; executive compensation; beneficial security ownership information; related party transactions; and two years of financial information. For a Tier 2 offering, that financial information must be prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP and audited by a PCAOB licensed auditor."

#4 - "The registration statement will also have numerous exhibits, such corporate records and material contracts and agreements."

#5 - "Particulars of the offering, such as what is being sold and at what price, need to be included. Key to this information is a reasonable valuation and rational use of proceeds. A company should demonstrate value through its financial statements and disclosures and establish that the intended use of proceeds will result in moving the business plan ahead and hopefully create increased value for the shareholders. Investors want to know that their money is being put to the highest and best use to result in return on investment. Repayment of debt or cashing out of series A investors is generally not a saleable use of proceeds. Looking for  $50 million for 30% of a pre-revenue start-up just isn’t going to do it! The company has to be prepared to show you, the investor, that it has a plan, management, vision and ability to carry out the business proposition it is selling.

#6 - And this should stop most of them from ever even thinking about applying:

No bad actors allowed - "The bad actor rules are there to protect investors and disqualify the company from using Regulation A+ if the company itself, its predecessor or an affiliate such as an officer, director, 20%-or-greater shareholder, promoter, broker or others directly involved in selling the offering have been subject to certain administrative orders, industry bars, injunctions involving certain securities law violations or certain specified criminal convictions all within the last 5 years or 10 years depending on the disqualifying event."

Chase, thanks for sharing. I hope that, after reading this, more people can truly appreciate the route DNotes has chosen. We have chosen absolutely the most difficult route to the mountain top (mass adoption) but that is the only path. Our core team is all in to make the impossible possible. If it is easier than our business model can be replicated.

Don't forget to support Cryptocurrency Education Week

Quote from Chase on April 9, 2018:

Cryptocurrency Education Week is global.

We want to include and help everyone learn about cryptocurrency.

There are contests going on right now on Twitter and Facebook that anyone can take part in. Aside from the prizes at the end of the week, we are also giving away DNotes (upgraded 2.0 / POS) to random people that have shared #CryptocurrencyEducationWeek.

There are still some keys left to find in this -

From DNotesEDU: To celebrate a successful launch we have hidden several private keys containing DNotes, somewhere on https://dnotesedu.com, https://facebook.com/dnotesedu and https://twitter.com/dnotesedu! First to find the keys, and move the DNotes to their personal address gets to keep them!

If you are unsure about how to import a private key, here are some very simple instructions: https://dnotesedu.com/digital-currency/dnotes#import_private_key

Another terrific book review by BuyBookPro, a popular book review site with over 250,000 visitors.

The book is one of our strategic building blocks that cannot be easily replicated by our competitors. Take notice that the book links DNotes and everything that we do into one package giving us maximum synergistic impact. Its exposure is already reaching millions of people beyond our industry. There are many interviews, articles, and book reviews scheduled for the coming weeks and months.

We do not just talk about mass adoption of DNotes. Instead, we have clearly defined our strategic path to realizing the vision. Do the right thing, the right way – everything else will fall in place.

Book Review: ‘Improve Your Odds: The Four Pillar of Business Success,’ by Alan Yong

“Recently, DNotes Global, Inc., an ambitious contender in the digital currency arena, announced it’s releasing DNotes 2.0, an upgraded version of the currency it developed in 2014. In four short years, this company dedicated to making cryptocurrency accessible to all has grown up. Its co-founder, Alan Yong, has directed a steady and consistent course since the firm’s onset — and the strategy has gained a solid footing in this tricky new field. Now Yong has consolidated his formidable business acumen into his book, Improve Your Odds: The Four Pillars of Business Success.

Yong has a fascinating backstory: he’s a natural entrepreneur with a deeply innovative streak. Back in the early 90s, he was responsible for the DTR — the world’s first personal tablet computer. His firm, Dauphin, was contracted by the Pentagon and had a manufacturing agreement with IBM. And he was also involved in flower: he created one of the largest daylily growing operations in the US. He’s no dreamer, though: as he notes in this revealing and insightful book. He’s had his fair share of failures as well as successes and has learned from them all.

The key to business success is not some wild stroke of luck, but focusing on four basics, according to Yong. Unlike many business guides that promise a whole new system and require a complex new lexicon to understand it, Yong’s four pillars make classic practical sense. First, leaders have to focus on themselves and make sure they’re up to the job. Then they have to make sure their ideas are sound and innovative enough to rise above the fray. Next comes the people — since no organization can be good without a core team as well as all employees who are productive, engaged, and aligned with business objectives. And finally, in a very clear case of last but not least, never forget the customers. No matter how amazing your business idea may be, no matter how sleek the new product or service, if the customers don’t want it, you’re sunk.” ………..

“This is a highly useful book. Its author has taken the time and energy to write out his business strategies not out of a need to gratify his own sense of importance, but as a way to help others understand how to handle the pressures and stresses of entrepreneurship. Why? For one simple reason: you can’t have a healthy economy if you don’t have healthy contenders, and if they don’t all seem to understand the keys behind staying alive, Yong is happy to help. The health of any economy depends on the health of its participants — and certainly, we’re going to see how that plays out in years to come, as DNotes and its compatriots reshape our concept and use of money. In keeping with DNotes’ commitment to digital currency for all, Improve Your Odds is a primer on smarter leadership for all. We need more books like this — or maybe we just need this one.”
