You can buy practically anything with cryptocurrency. Dubai is also selling condos for 250BTC which are located in private islands. The sky is the limit of what you can buy with cryptocurrencies.

Can we please do something to speed up transaction time and the high transaction fees?
This is getting absurd. I just spent $10 USD to send $7500 but my fee was too low. It may take a week for my transaction to process. Who knows. I should have spent 3x that figure to get processing within 1 hour ($30). With that same fee I could have just used a wire transfer from a bank online and it would have been just as fast as bitcoin. The selling point of bitcoin is that it was supposed to be 'better' than traditional banking services. It's not.
IMO, the following things need to happen.
#1) Block time decrease from 10 minutes to 1 minute. (and decreasing reward by / 10 per block)
#2) Difficulty readjustment period from 2016 blocks to 720 blocks. (2 difficulty readjustments per day with the decrease in block time from #1)
#3) Apply a system of master nodes where there are 10,000 nodes that receive an equal split of 1% of all bitcoins generated. (Comes out to about $200/month at current USD rates, enough to pay for a dedicated server or colocation space to host the node in a good environment almost anywhere in the world.)
#4) Reduce the amount of read/writes to disk on a bitcoin full node. I stopped running a full node because it lags everything else my computer tries to do. Not because of the disk space it consumes.
We just went 50 minutes between blocks as I was writing this!
I agree Bitcoin fees are getting ridiculous. It's now expensive to send and receive payments if you want to receive them in a timely manner. Something has to be done about this and I'm sure they will think of something. I personally prefer to use DeepOnion to send and receive payments as it's practically instant. I just hope more people start to adopt it and it becomes more popular in the upcoming future. |

Every investor and supporter(except airdrop supporter), will be in the suffering mode between now - after the airdrop end.
Once the airdrop end expect the "dump". Wait for few weeks for market "stabilisation" after the airdrop end.
Get listed more exchange.

Then the moon time will come.
Very well said, this is exactly what is going to happen. All the hodlers will live in glory and the dumpers will live in doubt and tell themselves "I should've held on to my onions." I will not feel sorry for the dumpers but laugh at them for the mistake they did on not trusting on this coin.  |

It is not just the dev team but the community that control how successful a coin goes and DeepOnion is the most visited and posted thread on BTC history, this should say something.

I personally think from those 2 choices, ethereum has more potential. I highly doubt bitcoin can double in price any time soon. On the other hand, I see it very likely Ethereum can double in price or even more in near future.
It's like investing in gold and silver, both make about the same profit but silver costs cheaper so you can make more profit with larger amounts of silver than few amounts of gold.

Keep all your onions because we will go to the moon soon. Learn from your mistakes, remember bitcoin used to sell for $1 or less. Imagine how those people feel now... Also, this coin is only a few weeks old and airdrop is still going on, it also happens to be the most visited bitcointalk thread in history in such a short timespan. Lots of new additions and webdesign upgrades will also make this coin reach another level. You guys just watch and you will see. |

The only way to reduce transaction fees is to lower the fees when sending bitcoins. The only downfall is it could take a while to receive your bitcoins. Transactions fees, in my opinion, are getting very expensive for sending bitcoins.

I personally think it is possible to some extent. Cryptocurrencies may not stop banks altogether but certainly, take down the majority of them. Once local and online stores start to accept cryptocurrencies in larger scale things will explode to our favor. Why use a merchant account to accept credit cards when there are so much credit card scams? Big companies lose money because people pretending they didn't get package even though it says delivered in tracking number they can still get away with it. It's things like this that will make businesses want to use a service that protects them from fraud, and that something is cryptocurrencies. There's a couple of good ones that provide anonymity which are Dash and Monero. However, there's another cryptocurrency that just came out called DeepOnion everyone should look into.

If you're buying bitcoin as an investment I think there are other options that can give you more profit in the long run. One example is DeepOnion, it is a new anonymous cryptocurrency barely few weeks old and happens to be the most popular thread on this forum in such a short span of time. Right now its priced at about $1 but as soon as airdrop is over and most people dump that is when the price will start to rise as things settle. This is a waiting game that will reek huge benefits to the people that HODL. Just my 2 cents. There are probably other anonymous cryptocurrencies that you may be interested in. Just make sure you invest in something that tends more towards privacy as that's what I believe the future of cryptocurrency will reign.

I use electrum to store my bitcoins in a password protected USB. For online transactions, I use Exodus as it's easy to use and convenient for paying with bitcoins online.

Hello one and all, I've begun my article writing to build the name of - CryptoGrinder - with a series of articles on reddit, "airdropped" to the community and all they have to do is read it. Yeah, you guessed, this week (#2) the theme is airdrops and some myths I'm seeing about them here and there. I have worked with several big projects before and none can compare with how much potential I believe this project has.
I present to you DeepOnion Website V2. My brother and I worked several hours to design this modern website for DeepOnion. We still have some more work to do on it but wanted to show everyone this small preview. Please note it has not been compressed or optimized at all. It is just a rough draft, and we will still be working on it till it's completed.
